Audrey Hepburn attends a cocktail dinner for Harper's Bazaar, which was held in honor of American fashion designer Norman Norell at the Waldorf Astoria in New York in 1960.
Normal Norell, dubbed as the American Balenciaga, started as a costume designer for Paramount Studios in the 1920s. The year 1960 was when Mr. Norell “finally owned his own business and was able to buy out his investors. Even though he was 60 years of age, I believe he got this incredible burst of creativity for the next 12 years of his life,” says Norell: Master of American Fashion author Jeffrey Banks. Hey Toriel, this is more of a question for Susie but since I can't talk to her can you tell her? All I want to know is her opinion on clowns, specifically the joker from a normal deck of cards. Oh, and her opinion on Kris and Norelle.
(You feel a rustle. Perhaps things are different in another world.)

9 ringwraiths people you would like to get to know better:
thank you @roselightfairy for tagging meee :)
three ships: Legolas and Gimli. I mean. A classic. Iconic. Crazy devoted best friends. woodland sprite and dashing romantic. It's such a good dynamic. very funny forbidden love situation where it's like not actually that forbidden because your kingdoms are allies but everyone is going to be a little judgemental about it Bombalurina and Demeter.. Look sometimes your mutual ex-boyfriend kidnaps. the mayor and you have to do a burlesque dance about it and like. feel yourself up while making direct eye contact with your bestie. This is normal best friend behavior. I've got no idea what's wrong with these two but something certainly is. A bonded pair do not adopt separately Arabella Strange and Emma Pole. What if your husband found you in the evil fairy cave and the first person you reached for was your girl best friend... The whole thing with Arabella is that Strange loves her but she's not his first priority? His first priority is magic. And she was like happy enough to settle for that. But she deserves someone who'll put her first. someone like
first ever ship: Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala. They're are just fucking insane. They're so melodramatic all the time for no fucking reason. Oh my god. Just shut the fuck up I swear. I am going to start crying.
last song: shuffling fool by paisley fields!
last movie: I don't watch movies very often? I genuinely just have no idea.
currently reading: Well I just finished Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell and oh my god. Oh my god. Exactly my kind of book. I read it as an audiobook from the library and I liked it so much I bought the book and I own it now.
currently watching: Doctor Who! Watching the new series with my friend and then watching the classic series when I'm having a long day and I need some sci-fi shenanigans to unwind.
currently consuming: made some tea out of lemon balm leaves and now i'm listening to the rain
currently craving: going to get boba with my friends. fabric and a space to sew. Food cooked with love and fresh vegetables.

Please, your grace, tell us more about the vessel children
GLADLY
Sorry if this makes little sense, I am very sleepy and my brain refuses to work normally
All of these bastards were made with FaaF AU in mind, but they exist in other AUs too
Their ages are listed compared to Flower's age, 21-26 years old, because that's the point where they met most of them to when the conflict with Norel concludes. Except for Baby, who was found when Flower was 26.
This is probably the first time I draw most of these designs, so they might change in the future
Alabaster and Silk were practically inseparable from the moment they left the Abyss (I'm considering making them twins too). The first few years of their lives weren't pretty, they were homeless and survived by stealing alone, it wasn't much but they got by. In their early teens, they got wrapped up in some pretty unsavoury circles before two older ladies showed them some kindness and took them in. The two ladies were fashion designers (a spider and a silkworm moth) and took the kids in as their apprentices, and eventually officially adopted them. A few years later, Alabaster and Silk would find Lime just wandering the streets by themself and took them back to their mums who happily took their younger sibling in as well.
Silk is very very talkative and energetic, a social bee who loves to travel and meet new people. She had some issues with trusting people when their mums just took them in, but eventually, they blossomed into a cheerful kid.
Alabaster is the more tame and level-headed side to Silk's coin, they prefer peace and quiet and sometimes just prefer to be alone. He's completely non-verbal, but despite this also doesn't like to sign, just prefers to stay quiet most of the time.
Lime is a shy, reserved kid who spent most of their early life alone and now finds it hard to connect with others. They mostly stay glued to their siblings' or mums' side and rarely open up to anyone but these four. As they grow, though, they begin to slowly come out of their shell, but it's a long process.
Alanis and Dancer are travelling companions along with Dancer's love interest/boyfriend, Anthony (he's an ant and he's trans, he saw the pun opportunity and took it). Neither of them has naturally dark hair btw, they just dye it.
Alanis used to be a singer in a travelling band, but after a chance encounter with Norel she lost both her friends/siblings and her voice. Thanks to that experience she's a bit more got headed than before and snappy with Dancer, though it all comes from the place of concern. She can come off as a bit rude and bitter at times, but she means well. Though she's no longer able to sing, she still pursues being a musician by playing different instruments.
Dancer is a street performer who takes a lot of pride in his skills and art (his siblings teasingly call him a clown which he despises). He tries to be the comedy relief but it's actually all to mask his years of trauma. He used to travel with two more of their siblings before they got captured by Norel, he was the only one who managed to get out and save Alanis, which is how they met/reunited. Also, literally the biggest pussy there is when it comes to fighting, he's got them oppossum skills (play dead and hope for the best).
Nomi is very different from most of their siblings. Ey were adopted pretty early on by a royal couple from another kingdom and lived a pretty well-off life. They've got kind of shitty self-esteem so they overcompensate by appearing obnoxious confident and self-absorbed. They're kind of naive but try to mean well. You know the type of rich person who asks insane questions like "why don't you just buy a house?" when you complain about rent and then are shocked to learnt hat 99% of people can't do that? Yeah, they're that type of guy.
Razor is a leader of a bandit group. She's an asshole with a gigantic martyr complex who insists that they don't need help even when they're in desperate need of it. Despite his rough exterior though, he loves his siblings more than anything in the world and would sacrifice everything for them. They used to take care of three of their siblings (bluethepearldiver's ocs) until an incident where they ended up murdering their little brother's abusive spouse finally made them realise maybe they can't handle it all by themself and decide it's better if they take their siblings to Hallownest. Also, her hair isn't naturally black, she just dyed it with her own void (with a name like that, did you expect anything less edgy from them?)
Razor also doesn't get along with Nomi and Dancer. They absolutely hate Nomi's naivety to how the world truly works, the two of them just come from such different walks of life that Razor just can't deal with Nomi's perspective on life. Dancer they just comply find annoying.
Wish was Norel's assistant, helping him lure and trap its siblings, all out of its own selfish desire to be spared from the same fate its siblings endured. Aside from that, it's kind of a cold, calculated asshole, placing its own needs above anybody else's. Still, it is not without a heart, and if it feels it can get away with lying to Norel and sabotaging him to help its siblings, it will do it. It does feel remorse sometimes, and in the end, it stabs Norel in the back and helps its siblings, but after everything it did, it doesn't feel like it deserves anything from them so it simply leaves and never contacts any of them again.
Baby was a premature vessel, born after most of their siblings already left the Abyss. It isn't until many years later when Flower is 26, are they finally heard by them. They drag their father out of bed and make him open the Abyss again, and Baby's found and brought to the surface, although weak and wounded. For some time they would only want to be handled by Flower, but eventually warmed up to their parents and slowly started to regain their strength and heal. Now, they are being raised by PK and WL, and considering their small age gap they're best of friends with Flower's twins, Spectre and Sting. Baby was also named by Flower (they suck at naming things).
#asks#spooky arts#faaf au#my ocs#DO YOU HAVE. ANY IDEA HOW HARD IT WAS TO MAKE THEM ALL LOOK BOTH RELATED AND UNIQUE?#IDK WHY MIXING PK'S AND WL'S FACE SHAPES IS SO FUCKING HARD TO ME#Also not to play favourites with my own children. But Dancer is my favourite. Alabaster and Silk are close second#Also I guess Dancer is transmasc and Alanis is transfem#Dancer and Anthony will also have a kid in the future but I am yet to design them#Also I think it's obvious (at least with Al) but Alabaster is meant to greatly resemble PK while Silk is a spitting image of WL#oc: nomi#oc: dancer#oc: alanis#oc: alabaster#oc: silk#oc: lime#oc: razor#oc: baby#oc: whisper

This is a drawing of my OCs at McDonalds ✨
Sadly, I did not get paid by McDonalds.
I don‘t even like McDonalds.
Anyways, the names in order are (left to right in a U) Jocob, Norelle, Ruki, Yeel, Kave, Eyre and Hiroki.
Normally my OCs engage in activities such as causing the world to end, locating magical objects to stop said ending of the world, having moral dilemmas about killing dragons and losing said magical objects to stop the ending of the world.
But as you can see, right now they are enjoying quality time to make future trauma hurt more (I did not say that)

Vintage 1945 Evening Gown from vantagevintagebtq
Exquisite and dramatic 1945 evening gown designed by Norman Norell for Traina Norell. This impeccably constructed piece is exemplary of American high fashion during the war. Documented in the September, 1945 issue of Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. Gown features a rayon faille fitted and boned basque bodice, short puff sleeve and a bow at the neckline that is dripping with beads. Small fabric covered buttons extend down the front which connect to a floor length, full taffeta skirt decorated with faceted square sequins. During World War 2 sequins were not a rationed material and Norman Norell used them prolifically in his designs. The identical dress was most recently featured in the Chicago History Museums exhibit ‘Silverscreen to mainstream: American fashion in the 1930’s and 40’s.

Thoughts on Scarlet and Violet now that the new trailer dropped:
I’m so worried that this game is being rushed, that the employees making it are suffering and struggling...this is too many releases too quickly. Gen 9 itself is on schedule, but in between Gen 8 and Gen 9 we had New Snap, PLA, and BDSP (outsourced to ILCA). That’s too many releases in that short span of time for these people to be working normal hours.
I like the little olive. I’m Italian; I feel culturally obligated to like the olive.
Past vs. Future is an interesting theme to explore in a Pokemon game, and I like that there are two different professors depending on the game. The “past” professor has a bit of a cavewoman aesthetic going on. All in all, it makes me hopeful for some really cool fossils this gen.
On that note, Sprigatito deserves to evolve into a Smilodon-like form. We deserve this. We’ve never had a saber-toothed cat Pokemon. Let it be Sprigatito’s final form.
Why did we have to get another Dragon-type legendary with airplane features? Why does this keep happening? I don’t love or hate it, it’s just a bizarre trend. Someone made a post a few days ago about how Dragon-types getting jet plane features was the Pokemon world’s version of carcinization and I think they’re right.
‘Korai’ in Koraidon most likely refers to 古来 (”ancient” or “time-honored”). Perhaps there’s going to be a theme of tradition vs. new ideas?
‘Mirai’ in Miraidon...that’s a word more people know. 未来 generally means “future.”
Speaking of the legendaries, didn’t it look like they were sitting on Gibraltar or something? Obviously a scaled down Gibraltar, but it evoked it in my mind for a moment.
I like Koraidon’s feathers and hope that’s a reference to the fact that a lot of therapod dinosaurs had them. Up Norell, baby!*
I really like the four player co-op! That looks so fun! I think a lot of people have wanted something like this for a while, and the fact that we can explore an open world together is really cool.
I think we can explore a bit more without being bound by the plot? That’s actually...not unlike 1st gen. We were only limited by HMs and opponent levels then, but we could sometimes go past the cities we were in and explore a bit further before doubling back.
An upperclassman as a friendly rival is cool. I wonder who else we’ll meet.
Overall, the games do look interesting, but I’m just so worried about the culture that made them - so many game companies are falling into this now and overworking their employees and it’s really upsetting and unfair. Game Freak, I’m rooting for you to unionize. You all deserve better.
*My childhood hero is a paleontologist named Mark Norell, the director of vertebrate paleontology at the American Museum of Natural History. He was one of the first proponents of dinosaurs having feathers and every time I see it become more culturally accepted my heart soars.

One-shot: A typical day in STF
Original author: 八重垂樱 (ba zhong chui ying)
Source: here
Based on this comic by @norelle-n on Weibo:
Something’s odd.
When Eli steps though the doors of STF while munching on a meat-stuffed bun, he keenly senses a strange atmosphere permeating the air, based on instincts honed after his many years of “fighting” with Commander Gavin.
Everything seems normal. The office looks like how it should: Lu Yi is seated before a laptop, staring unblinkingly at the data flowing on the display screen; Tang Chao is stacking a pile of reports neatly, bringing it to Gavin’s table with utmost respect; the teammate in charge of auxiliary matters is holding the night shift roster for this week, his eyes scanning the hall, contemplating who should be rostered tonight...
Something’s odd. Something’s very odd!
Eli thinks about how the office is typically in a state of utter chaos before work begins, and quickly comes to a conclusion. He swallows the remaining bit of the bun, sweeping his eyes to the door of Gavin’s office which has been left slightly ajar. Tiptoeing towards Tang Chao, he nudges the latter with his elbow, arching his brows.
“What happened?” Eli asks with his eyes.
“Watch the surveillance footage.” Tang Chao signals with his hands. His lips are pursed till they’ve turned white, and it’s clear that he’s struggling to contain himself.
“Surveillance?” Eli frowns with incomprehension. Lu Yi suddenly lifts his head from the side, an unusual slyness flashing in the eyes behind his spectacles, shooting him a hand gesture of an email.
“Ok.”
Eli nods at everyone in understanding, then heads into his own office.
Two minutes later.
“Pfft! What in the world is this? HAHAHAHAHA!”
“Old Gav, to think this would happen to you...”
“No way, this is just too hilarious!”
As everyone expected, unbridled laughter explodes from Eli’s office. As everyone also expected, Eli, who would rather be punished to run 20 laps than give up a chance to be mischievous, very quickly rushes out of the room with his phone, howling with laugher as he enters Captain Gavin’s office.
When the office door shuts, Tang Chao is finally unable to contain himself any longer, slapping the table and bursting into laughter. In an instant, the entire STF hall turns into a sea of merriment. Outsiders with no idea what’s going might even think that they received news about a promotion, an increase in salary, or a long vacation.
As for what’s happening in Gavin’s office across the door...
“Electric scooter? You actually agreed to ride an electric scooter! HAHAHAHAHA!”
“...”
“Are your legs numb? Can you still walk steadily after getting off? I think I saw you stumbling a little when you walked through the door?”
“...”
"Now that we’re on the topic, what brand’s the electric scooter? How’s the quality? It actually didn’t fall apart after the both of you rode it at such a crooked angle...”
“Eli! Do you have to talk that much?” Gavin is slightly annoyed, berating him softly. This humiliated and angry expression reminds Eli of how Gavin looked many years ago in the dormitory, when a few of them had found the photograph of the girl he had kept hidden in secret. “It’s just riding an electric scooter. What’s there to make a fuss about?”
“Just? Riding? An? Electric? Scooter? Old Gav, don’t you feel yourself blushing while saying that?” Eli laughs even more heartily. Wagging his eyebrows with a look of delight, he continues. “When you injured your arm during a previous mission, I distinctly remember how you flatly refused to sit on the backseat when Tang Chao offered to drive Sparky back...”
“Tang Chao is Tang Chao...”
“Yes yes yes, Tang Chao is Tang Chao. Your girl is your girl... Hey, come to think of it, your girl vowed to send you to and from work when we were eating together a few days ago, so that you wouldn’t keep losing track of time at work. Does this mean the two of you would be riding the electric scooter every day?”
“...”
Gavin takes a deep breath, and he appears to be worried. “What else can I do? She likes it...”
"Even if she likes it, you can bring out some masculine spirit and refuse her outright. Just say that you want to fly back by yourself.”
“No way.”
“In that case, you could tell her truth and say that your legs are too long and they'd get numb if you ride-”
“Will she be upset?” Gavin asks hesitantly after pondering over it.
“You... that’s the curse of doting on your wife too much.” Eli purses his lips. “How about this. If you write all the reports for this month, I’ll tell her for you.”
“This...”
Without waiting for Gavin’s response, the phone on the table suddenly rings. After picking it up to see who it is, he immediately taps on the answer button. The girl’s voice drifts from the phone.
“Gav, I’ll pick you up at 6pm?”
“Huh? I...”
“What’s wrong?”
“There’s no need to make a trip back. The weather is really warm and it’d be uncomfortable for you. I’ll fly back myself.”
“By yourself? Didn’t we agree last night that I’d pick you up? What’s wrong? Did I not drive properly this morning?”
“No no! You drove the electric scooter very well. You have a lot of natural talent.” Gavin responds instantly. At the side, Eli rolls his eyes.
“Then... do you dislike how the electric scooter isn’t cool enough? But Sparky is too difficult to drive, and I haven’t learnt how to...”
“How could I dislike it! Sparky is difficult to drive, so let’s not bother with it!”
“But...”
“Mm, I’ve got some work to attend to, so I’ll end the call here. I’ll be at the entrance at 6pm sharp, waiting for you to pick me up!”
Gavin hangs up hastily, trepidation lingering in his heart as he glances at Eli from the side. He seems to want to say something, turning his head to the girl’s photograph displayed on the table, a gentle smile gradually surfacing on his lips.
Eli, who only wanted to watch a good show, suddenly feels as though he’s stuffed with dog food.
Even the hilarious image of Commander Gavin sitting on the backseat of a pink electric scooter isn’t as appealing anymore...
After work, Eli watches as Gavin curls up his legs, sits on the backseat of that pink electric scooter, face filled with happiness as he wraps his arms around the girl’s waist. Eli makes a firm and resolute decision.
Tomorrow. Tomorrow, he’s going to work hard to find a girlfriend.
Even if he has to sit on an electric scooter, nothing’s too much for him!

1) How many works do you have on AO3?
120.
2) What’s your total AO3 word count?
328404. Which makes my fics 2736,7 words long, on average.
3) How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
26.
Agent Carter, All About Eve, Angel, The Borgias, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Chronicles of Narnia, Doctor Who, both classic and new series, Dracula/The Historian, Emily of New Moon, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell , Harry Potter, Ivanhoe, Labyrinth, The Man in the High Castle, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Mummy Series, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, Penny Dreadful, Peter Pan, Piranesi, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Queen's Gambit, Sleepy Hollow (1999), Timeless, Versailles (TV 2015) and Victoria
4) What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Ghosts (The Mummy Series. Evy/Rick, Evy/Ardeth, Evy/Imhotep)
The Number of Vices (The Queen’s Gambit, Beth/Borgov)
The Might of His Strength (The Mummy Series. Evy/Rick, Evy/Ardeth/Imhotep, Evy/Imhotep)
The Black King (The Queen’s Gambit, Beth/Borgov)
A Moment (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Midge Maisel/Lenny Bruce)
5) Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
I do. However, it can take me forever to get around answering them. And if the comment is just an emoji, I will probably not answer.
6) What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Considering I have written a lot of angst, this was really hard. But if I have to choose one, I’d say a Sleepy Hollow-fic called Hell.
7) What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Crow’s Feet On the Prettiest Eyes (Doctor Who, Sarah Jane Smith/The Doctor) or The Black King (The Queen’s Gambit, Beth/Borgov)m which both are about lovers who are reunited after many years apart.
8) Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?
Not really I’ve borrowed a character from Pan Am for a The Queen’s Gambit fic, but that wasn’t much of a crossover, really. And I have one Piranesi/Chronicles of Narnia crossover, but that one isn’t particularly crazy either, given how many Narnia-references Piranesy contains.
9) Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Yes. A couple of years ago a person read some of my explicit, and very well-tagged fics only to give me several comments on how disgusting the found explicit fics in general, and the tags i used in particular. Personally I would say that the easiest way to not be disgusted by that would be to NOT READ THOSE FICS!
10) Do you write smut? If so what kind?
I do. Quite a lot, actually. Mostly F/M, but sometimes also threesomes. As for kind of sex it ranges from fluffy vanilla to BDSM.
11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of.
12) Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes.
13) Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, though one I’m currently writing is certainly co-conceived.
14) What’s your all time favorite ship?
I honestly can’t say; I have so many. My current favourite shup is Beth Harmon/Vasily Borgov from The Queen’s Gambit. Before that I burned for Fabien Marchal/Sophie de Clermont from the TV show Versailles. No, wait, my favourite ship must be the OT3 Rick/Evy/Ardeth from The Mummy series, as that ship precedes the other, and is still around.
15) What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
I currently have 5 WIPs posted on AO3 3 of them I’m writing actively on and plan to finish in the foreseeable future. Then I have two WIPs that’s over 10 years old. An extremely dark Sleepy Hollow-fic about Lady Van Tassel, and one humorous Harry Potter-fic about Dudley Dursley. I like them both, and have the plot properly mapped out, but I have yet to find it in me to finish them. I would still like to do that, though! However, I have one Peter Pan fic that I actually removed from AO3 because not only is it a 15 year old WIP, I have also completely forgotten how I wanted it to end. That one I doubt I will ever touch again.
16) What are your writing strengths?
Emotions. I’m good with emotions, and nowadays I think my dialogue flows quite well too. I’ve been told I write good sex scenes too.
17) What are your writing weaknesses?
Plots! Most of my fics are one-shots with few characters, mainly dealing with emotions. I used to be very bad at being descriptive, but I’m actively working on improving that. I can be brief to a fault, too.
18) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
So far it’s something I have glossed over in the few cases it has been somewhat relevant for the fic. If I did, however, I would probably write the foreign language in italicized English. Unless it was a language no one else in the fic underwood- then I would write it in the original language.
19) What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Peter Pan, back in 2004, after seeing a promo pic of Jason Isaacs as Captain Hook.
20) What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
Another one of those impossible questions. How can I choose. I’m sorry, It has to be my favourite fics, in plural.
A Place in the Shadows (Penny Dreadful, Vanessa Ives & Sembene), because it turned out exactly as I envisioned it. And I really like the themes of friendship, and cake.
Professor Keller (Doctor Who, Delgado!Master) because it’s my most ambitious fic to date- I even rewrote it completely. I really think I managed the escalating horror of two completely normal people getting their lives destroyed by the Master.
Homeward (The Borgias, Cesare/Micheletto, Lucrezia & Micheletto). I’m not sure why, but I just really, really like this one, and it’s one of my fics that I reread regularly.
A Conversation in the Yellow Drawing-Room, And Other Letters To Mrs Strange (Jonathan Strange & Mr Norell, Lady Pole/John Childermass). In most of my fics the female protagonist saves herself, and this is probably the prime example. I really enjoyed writing Lady Pole making her life the way she wants it for a change, and, ultimately, saving herself, with a little help from her friends. I also really enjoyed making use of a few fairy tales tropes.

Erlikosaurus andrewsi
By Ripley Cook
Etymology: Demon-King Reptile
First Described By: Perle, 1980
Classification: Dinosauromorpha, Dinosauriformes, Dracohors, Dinosauria, Saurischia, Eusaurischia, Theropoda, Neotheropoda, Averostra, Tetanurae, Orionides, Avetheropoda, Coelurosauria, Tyrannoraptora, Maniraptoromorpha, Maniraptoriformes, Maniraptora, Therizinosauria, THerizinosauridea, Therizinosauridae
Status: Extinct
Time and Place: About 90 million years ago, in the Turonian of the Late Cretaceous
Erlikosaurus is found in the Bayan Shireh Formation in Dornogovi, Mongolia
Physical Description: Erlikosaurus was a kind of Therizinosaur, the very bulky feathered dinosaurs with long, pointed claws extending from their hands. They’re weird in other ways, too - they have backward-facing hip bones like those of birds and Ornithischians, and giant pot-bellies to let them digest large amounts of plant material. As such, they stood up almost as vertical as people do - rather than horizontally like… all other dinosaurs. Erlikosaurus had a long neck, a squat body, short legs and a short tail; while its arms were normal length, it also had very long curved claws, like other therizinosaurs. It had very large and long nostrils for a therizinosaur, and a very high number of teeth compared to its relatives. Interestingly enough, therizinosaurs like Erlikosaurus also had swollen, pneumatized braincases, which allowed them to be lighter weight and potentially cool off quicker. Erlikosaurus also, unlike other Therizinosaurs, ahd long and slender claws on its feet. It may have been around six meters long. Like other therizinosaurs, it would have been covered with feathers all over its body, and potentially had very primitive long feathers on its arms like wings.
Diet: Erlikosaurus, like other therizinosaurs, was an herbivore.
By Jack Wood
Behavior: Erlikosaurus is a fascinating dinosaur behavior-wise because we actually have a decent number of scans of its brain, which may teach us aspects of its behavior. Erlikosaurus had a very well developed sense of smell, hearing, and balanced, which means that it retained a lot of the traits of carnivorous theropods - and probably used them to its advantage as an herbivore. It also probably was able to sense oncoming predators well and have complex social behavior. The range of its mouth, however, was narrower than that of its close carnivorous relatives - indicating that herbivorous dinosaurs, much like herbivorous mammals, had smaller mouth gapes than carnivores. With complicated social behavior, long claws, and good senses, Erlikosaurus would have been incredibly paranoid - and dangerous - ready to fend off anyone that would have threatened their family groups with those long scythe claws. As a social dinosaur, Erlikosaurus would have probably taken care of its young, and been warm blooded. The scythe claws, when not used in defense, would have been helpful in gathering plants down from the trees, much like with sloths today.
Ecosystem: The Bayan Shireh Environment was one of many such ecosystems found in the mid to late Cretaceous, showcasing a wide variety of animals that were almost - but not quite - like their latest Cretaceous counterparts. Here was a braided river environment, going through season wet and dry seasons as the mud and sand interchanged from one another leading to a variety of rock types and depositional environments. There were many water plants and flowering plants lining the shores, giving it a lush and green feel for at least part of the year - and giving Erlikosaurus something to eat! There were also fish, molluscs, the mammal Tsagandelta, and turtles making frequent appearances in the environment. Unnamed crocodylian relatives and Azhdarchid pterosaurs were present, but most of the charismatic animals present were other dinosaurs. Erlikosaurus wasn’t the only Therizinosaur, and also lived with Segnosaurus and Enigmosaurus. The very large, weird, and lopsided sauropod Erketu graced the treetops, slowly foraging on food, while the much smaller Ornithomimosaur Garudimimus scurried about between them all. Ankylosaurs went absolutely wild here, represented by Talarurus, Maleevus, and Tsagantegia. There were two small bipedal Ceratopsians, Graciliceratops and Microceratus, and the early hadrosauroid Gobihadros. There was also a mystery dinosaur, Amtosaurus, which has no affinity beyond “Ornithischian” at this point in time. As for predators, there was the very large raptor Achillobator and the small tyrannosaur Alectrosaurus - both similar in size to one another, and both giant dangers to the roaming herds of Erlikosaurus!

Other: Erlikosaurus was a very advanced therizinosaur, similar to later members of the group like Therizinosaurus rather than Early Cretaceous varieties. As such, it shows that the more classic therizinosaur body shape was around by the “mid” Cretaceous. In addition, it may or may not be the same animal as the other therizinosaurs found in its home - more research is needed to determine as such.

Note
When Rayan does something charming or adorable Norelle always get distracted, so she stumbles on her own feet or drop something. 💕💕 She is not normally clumsy, but with Rayan distracting her, she kinda can be.
Nori is a kinda clumsy person xD but somehow in a funny/cool way. and it often happens to the person too, laughing with her about the clumsy situation while getting into one as well.
So plenty of fun stuff happens whenever Nori is around him/Rayan

Pre-Story Warning: This story is pretty gruesome. Kept it as blood-free as possible. Please be aware. If you hate gruesome stories, I'd suggest you back out. Also has one swear word.
-
Joran adjusted his tee. He unshouldered his axe. Yelping like a hog, a man squeamishly cried, strapped to the desk at his feet. Joran knelt, the man squirming and pouting, The man barked, “What are you doing? Let me go!”
He replied, “No. No, I can’t.” Joran lifted his ax to his chest. “You owe Genevieve money. If you cannot pay your debts, I’m afraid you’ll have to perish.” Joran poked the man with the butt of his ax.
Then he said, “Where is the money you owe Genevieve?”
“What do you mean?” the man asked.
Joran threatened, “Tell me. Or the ax makes you tell me.”
“Spare me!” the man said pleadingly. “I’ll tell you! I’ll tell you!”
Joran said, “It is too late.” Joran slithered to his knees. He dragged his ax against the shag carpet. Joran stroked the handle. Then he hoisted the fine weapon. The man screamed, as the ax slammed forthwards. Joran was left discombobulated, at the man’s decollated skull. It drained no blood. “Aliens,” Joran muttered. “A threat to The Superpeople.” Joran poked the man with his gun. Truly, he believed it was an alien.
Do Unto Others… Season 2 Episode 7: The House of Joran.
Everaine crept in. “You called?” she cried to him. He did not respond. “You called?” I cried again. “Please, tell me. You called?”
Joran uttered, “Krvondel’s agents are still alive. Why was I never told of this?” Everaine scanned the alien remains.
She said, “There is something out of place.”
“What?” Joran questioned.
Everaine muttered, “Krvondel’s species of alien, Ivondr, normally leaves blood traces of blood when removed from its head.”
Joran asked, “Then?”
“Ornanz don’t leave blood trails.” she explained. “They’re often criticized for their weak pacifistic nature. They’re also shapeshifters.”
“I’ve just killed an innocent,” Joran said numbly. “What have I done?”
“There’s been a disruption,” Everaine said. “You have a more important situation to deal with. One not involving aliens. One involving a greedy man named Kallen Norell.”
Joran repeated, “Kallen Norell,” He mumbled the name over and over. “Kallen Norell… Kallen Norell… I have not heard the name in a while. Remind me who he is.”
Everaine said, “Kallen Norell’s an assassin in Man’s Grudge. He was to Keshin, as Maseel was to Henry- and as you are now to Genevieve. When Keshin dissolved, he strayed off. Formed his own hunting crew named ‘Achilles’ Knee.’ With it he massacred opossums and sold their fur.”
“And?” Joran asked.
“A man named Oliver Possum stopped him. Stabbed him with his blade. Didn’t kill him, left a permanent scar on his leg though.” she resumed.
“Get to the point,” Joran hissed.
She said, “Man named Alistair Corn, charged with assault and battery, tried to beat up Oliver. Oliver won. Was arrested and charged with murder and now is in a prison in Las Vegas. We’re gonna fetch him, was the plan. Take him and Alistair outta Sin City, and kill Kallen Norell.”
“Sounds good to me,” Joran said. “When do we go?”
“HEY.” a raspy voice barked. “STOP WHERE YOU ARE.” The voice grew closer, as it shouted, “MY NAME IS JEFFERY CLAY. INTERNATIONAL PRESS BROADCASTING CORPORATION. IS IT TRUE THAT YOU WERE BEHIND THE DEATHS OF KESHIN DE BROSSE AND HENRY EDMUNDSON JONES?”
Joran said quietly, “I’m not.”
Jeffery barked again, “ARE YOU SURE? ARE YOU SURE?”
“I’M SURE!” Joran yelled. “PIPE THE HELL DOWN. STOP WAILING LIKE A FLAILING, DYING DONKEY.”
“WELL,” Jeffery cried. “WELL CALL ME A DONKEY- ‘CAUSE YOU’RE A BIG ASS.” Immediately following his taunting, Jeffery cramped. Joran had swung fiercely at his knee with a crowbar. His tibula gave in. He was tottering off, his bones quashed. Joran hobbled over with the bat in one arm, and a shotgun in the other.
“I’m done with you,” Joran said, disappointed.
“ARE YOU GOING TO KILL ME?” Jeffery cried more. “DO IT. DO IT.” Unrelenting, Joran thrashed him with the blunt end of the crowbar. Disposed to land the final blow, Joran heaved his crowbar to his waist. Then drubbed Jeffery’s skull in. Agape, Everaine observed him.
“Didn’t you do the same exact thing earlier?” she asked Joran.
“I did,” Joran said admittingly. “But this time it is a human I killed. Not an alien.” He pointed to the blood and said, “As you can see, blood has been drained.”
“I thought you promised to only kill for peace when you joined The House of Jones,” Everaine spoke. “You swore off unnecessary violence.”
Joran stated, “Violence is peace.”
“Not if it’s unnecessary,” she argued. “Violence isn’t-”
“All violence is necessary violence,” Joran said, cutting her off.
“Not in The House of Jones-” Everaine said.
Joran blurted, “-Well this is The House of Joran now. Your leader is dead. I killed Genevieve.”
I blurted, “I disagree…”
“Genevieve,” Joran uttered. “You’re alive.”
I said loudly, “I’m afraid ‘The House of Joran’ will become ‘The House of Jones’ once more. You’re welcome to stay if you’d like.”
“Uhm-” he stuttered. “Yes ma’am. I’ll stay.” I carefully watched Everaine.
She looked at me, then said, “Me too. I’ll stay.”
“Good,” I replied. “Now we need to get to work. Krvondel’s The Stakeholder and I hate him. Ideas?”
“I’ve received intel from a former agent of TASK a while ago named Danny Danielson. Says ‘Krvondel’s embassy here is at these coordinates.’” Joran unrolled his sleeve and I got a peek at his watch. The screen was murky, but I could make out the numbers. I nodded in agreement. He further said, “If we can trace these coordinates we can form a barrier ‘round his embassy and go ‘boom-boom’ on it.” I relished in his words. On the way he said “boom-boom. Joran spoke with a sense of confidence, “We can terminate Krvondel. We can end his reign of terror.”
Everaine said curiously, “We’re allied with his alien species, are we not?”
“Not anymore,” I cried angrily. “Today marks the start of rebellion, inciting revolution and The House of Jones reigns supreme. Because why depose the alien leader and not invest in his wealths?”
“I say once we terminate Krvondel, we take his people and take them under our wing-” Joran said. “-by invitation or by force.”
“Amen,” I replied.
“Amen,” Everaine replied. Our mafia required preparation. The start of alien-opposition incites a war. War requires guts.
