"I don't have a problem with cats but they just aren't dogs." Seiji never really talked about it, but he was the one who took Debit's passing the hardest.

The look this stranger gave Seiji was enough to make his hair stand on end. It wasn’t on the same intensity as the moments before Red forced his crystal of hatred onto him but it was still dangerous enough that his body tensed. He adjusted his position. Ready to strike at a moment’s notice. He didn’t know what kind of threat he was facing, but he’d use his karate to defend himself if needed.

“Yeah, that’s my name. What of it?” Seiji narrowed his eyes, glaring at the boy. Judging by his attire and this undeniable air of danger, this seemed to be a gang member. But why would he catch the attention of a bunch of delinquents?

Whatever the reason, there was no way Megumi and the other girls were involved in this. And they shouldn’t need to be.

“Hey.”

There’s a smile on Mikey’s face, but something about it is… cold. Instead of creating a cheerful atmosphere, it almost seems to make the air around him thicken, creating a tension that’s easy to pick up on without him even saying a word.

…And after a moment, the smile drops off Mikey’s face entirely. As he opens his eyes, which are uncomfortably void of any kind of light, his expression suddenly becomes severe.

“You’re Seiji, right? I’ve heard a lot about you.”

"Megumi. Aren't you forgetting something?"

"I swear I'll do my summer homework soon! I won't wait until the last minute like last year, I swear!"

"Screw that old man." Seiji knew this was stronger language than he usually used but at the same time he hated being reminded of the man who left his family without warning.

“She’s ten years old and that was her favorite hat!” Seiji retorted, his fists clenching despite himself.

Mao was clearly distraught. Seiji’s instinct as an older brother lit a fire in him the second he saw tears flowing from her eyes. Nobody hurt Mao and got away with it.

“Why would you even do this to her?! She did nothing to you!”

        LACIE LOOKED AWAY WITH, not sparing him a glance. He was not worth it in her eyes. “Hmf, I don’t have to say sorry. She’s just a weakling if she already cries like this!” She huffed, her livid voice making her point across that she wasn’t going to make up for her action. “She needs to toughen up!”

“Wait… people are debating the Goku vs. Superman fight? Again? How many times has this been?” Seiji asked, raising an eyebrow.

“A new Dragon Ball anime is coming out?! This is getting me fired up!” Seiji knew that he had to watch it with Megumi— they did that all the time when they were younger!

“What’s with the furries that occasionally appear on the dashboard?” Seiji questioned, raising an eyebrow. It was best not to ask how he knew what furries were in the first place.

((Also! Takumi and Seiji have built up quite the friendship through their shared experience of having a crush on the pink Cure of their group. They met when the Delicious Party and Happiness Charge girls decided to bring them along on a shared outing and quickly hit it off from there. Seiji even taught Takumi some basic karate.))

“Ah… I see I got beaten by a villain’s car in that tournament…” Seiji observed, furrowing his brows. “I’m not sure if it’s a sign of how unpopular my season is or if people voted for that car as a joke.” He couldn’t say he understood internet people.

"I imagine that the mun's going to ignore any canonization of ships from that anniversary event the other day. Does this really need to be that serious?" Seiji didn't get it. Hime seemed obsessed with that kind of thing-- even dragging Tsubasa into it-- but what was so important about their love lives?

"Well, at least someone got to go on a date with their childhood friend. I'm happy for them." Granted, the mun shipped him with someone other than Megumi but that was besides the point.

"I can't escape that outfit, can I?" Even disregarding the fact he wore that while being controlled by Red, that bodysuit with heels was just kinda tacky.

"Is Hello Kitty really that important?"

"Yes!"

"It's her 50th anniversary! I'll stand in this line for however long it takes!"

"I've been saving up for this day for months!"

"Yes."

"You might want to get comfortable, Sagara-kun. I brought water so nobody gets dehydrated!"

Happy Fourth of July! Does Tsubasa have a date with Seiji to see the fireworks?

"Well, no... we live in Japan."

"The local summer festival is coming up, though. We'll see fireworks with Megumi and the others when that comes."

“Are sports really that important?” Hime questioned. Nevermind the fact that Physical Education was by far her worst subject and her stamina was pitiful. She didn’t really like watching that kind of thing— the jargon always went over her head and it stunk!

“Sports are a way of life!” Seiji replied, decked out in full Team Japan gear. Right next to him on the embassy’s couch was Megumi, also covered head to toe in gear to cheer on the country’s soccer team.

“WOO! GO TEAM JAPAN!” Megumi cheered.
