One of the most intelligent additions that Streets of Rage 2 provides to its brawler gameplay is presented by showing the health bar of the enemy the player is currently fighting on-screen, right below theirs. In addition to taking much of the guesswork out of how many more hits will be needed for each group, this also allows the player to determine more accurately the damage done by each attack, weapon, and special move at their disposal.

• Bare Knuckle fue portado también a Master System, Game Gear, Sega Mega-CD, Sega Mega-Play, la Virtual Console de Wii, iOS, Android, PC, Microsoft Windows y 3DS • #BareKnuckle #ベアナックル 怒りの鉄拳 #japan #videogames #sor #StreetsofRage #16bits #sega #segamegadrive #megadrive #segagenesis #YuzoKoshiro #retrogaming #anacrogames #classicgames #vintagegames #pendodelespacio #videojuegos #videogames https://www.instagram.com/p/CDZeRO9nK_D/?igshid=1p1tjuuztu4d

The character selection in Streets of Rage is built to emphasize each character’s weaknesses without making that weakness seem insurmountable, and thus keep the player from thinking on the subject for too long. By using rankings of A and B, it immediately gets this information across to the player, without making a single aspect of each character seem to be particularly “bad,” just lesser than their other attributes.
