The small village of Hundisburg in Saxony Anhalt is an old medieval yet interesting place for droning. You have a few places of interest, namely the abandoned parish church ruins of Nordhusen (1) from 1215 AD, the stone quarry (3) which is now filled with water and used for swimming in summer and of course the amazing baroque palace of Hundisburg (2) with its landscaped gardens of splendor which, built in the 12th century and renovated in 1994. All nestled nicely in the vicinity of the village of Hundisburg which has currently less than 900 residents. The baroque palace and ruins are part of the 'Straße der Romanik' one of the popular scenic tourist routes of Germany.
