What if nothing. He literally caused his family’s death deliberately. And did nothing to show that he wanted to be around his own flesh and blood. Never even wrote to his son or wife. Just went off and committed unspeakable acts.

And not only did he harm his own family, but multiple others with not a care or a moment’s hesitation.

He is who he is. Plain and simple.

Such bizarre and disturbing behavior, for sure. I won’t protest against that. However, you presenting this question is very clear to me that you WANT to believe that deep DEEP down there’s an ounce of humanity in there. You need to understand, there’s nothing there. Even in a “what if scenario. it just doesn’t stick. If anything, he’d likely repeat the cycle and Casper would be in a bad situation. Would he turn out like his father? No, he wouldn’t. And he’d rather run away or die than become this horrible force of negativity.

Not every character can be good or have some silver lining to them.

I really think that after Casper died, Spooky felt a lot of guilt for causing it because he knew he should have stopped playing near the cliff, but he didn't and it costed Casper his life and Spooky wished he could have done something, ANYTHING to save his cousin. But he didn't. And even after when they reunited as ghosts, Spooky still feels guilt for what he did. And that trauma never goes away.

That pretty much sums it up. And the thing is, he has all the unbridled anger now as a ghost. It’s mostly at himself, but he can’t help it when he lashes out at others. Hence why most just leave him, but not Pearl.

How did Alice's parents meet?

The story isn't as fun as you may think, but Alice had heard on a few occasions that her mother was fishing one summer afternoon. Not really getting any bites till she felt a harsh tug on her line. Reeling it in, her mother had hoped it would be a fish. However it wasn't. Instead she reeled in a bag.

More specifically, a seaweed bag. Weird, but she got curious the more she stared at it. And upon examining it, she found all sorts of treasures hidden inside. Though her favorite one was a seashell. Not particularly a rare one, but still beautiful never the less.

And close by, atop a rock, Alice's soon to be father was watching. Eyes glued to the lady who just spent the whole time examining and smiling as she found more stuff.

Always a gift giver that man. Yet that was in his nature.

One thing lead to another and boom. Alice was born

The thing is, I just find it hard to ever think J.T. would be capable of such things in your AU (canonically, he would never hurt Casper or his loved ones). But I respect your take on him and it is interesting that he is the bad guy in your AU.

Then let us stop comparing Canon J.T to Spectral Spectacle J.T (or even mixing them up for that matter)

Remember my question when I asked you why you made J.T. a whole lot different from his canon self and you were shocked that I think Casper's mother is the abusive parent? I have that thought because Casper never mentions her (I know it is because of his amnesia as a ghost, but it still got me curious) and it is never mentioned she is dead and is a ghost and she could still be alive and is divorced from Canon!J.T. and Casper seems more fond of his dad than her.
