One bottle after another makes its way into her card, a giggling Yena the happiest Nako has probably seen her all year. This will be the first new years Yena can actually buy alcohol herself without having to use one or two tricks to delude people about her age.

“Ahhh the life with 19 sure feels great, man.” She teases upon snuggling against a six-pack of cider, grinning mischievously at her companion.

despite the lack of money in her wallet, hyunjin lets herself pile up the shopping basket resting on her forearm with stationary supplies. pens, markers, a separate pile for cute stickers and post-it note tabs, there’s even miscellaneous office items that she found just too stinkin’ adorable to not have. she ignores every voice in her head that tells her that she doesn’t need any of them, that there’s plenty she already has and should use up first, but being home alone and bored out of her mind has made her gone crazy. it’s just a little bit anyway—what’s the worst thing that happens? she’ll come home, start using everything she just bought for a little bit and then it gets put away. her older brother might nag her, but he always does that.

hyunjin’s gaze has been on the lower shelves for quite some time in the pens and pencils section. finally standing tall, she begins heading further down the aisle, where the writing utensils transition to matching pastel colored stationary sets. as hyunjin’s eyes scan the shelves, she notices a girl trying to reach something pushed back on the shelf. “here, let me help you get that,” hyunjin reaches up easily, picking up two sets of stationary, then shows them to the shorter girl, “which one did you need?”

nako excitingly knocks on the door. waiting for yena to open it, she ruffles her older friend's hair when the other appears in her sight. " yaaas girl, ya did it! "

Yena jumps at the surprise visit of the other. Nako really did have a way to just rush over whenever big news came around. A blush dusts her cheeks as the streamer ducks her head down, whining under her breath. “Mouuuu it’s not like it ain’t been a big deal or nothin’...”

As few of you may have noticed my activity has been pretty spotty- I blame that partly on my freshly sparked muse for game rp again but also on the fact I have outdated threads I no longer have any muse for. Bonjour, Bonjour! Croissant, croissant! I woke up to a new event that means: gathering ppl for plots o/ Since I’m busy af (aye what’s new) I’ll be limiting myself a loooot for this event.

for at least five minutes now, nako had tried to grab something from the shelves. much to her usual misfortune, her height prevented her from grabbing it like a normal person her age. it became increasingly difficult, especially once it was accidentally shoved once to the back. inwardly to herself she curses for such a stupid action, but she didn’t dare ask anybody for help out of shame. some habits die hard, and she had too many to fix one per day.

“ come on, ” she whines, pushing herself to her toes to try and grab it. blessed she felt that at the moment someone passed her by, grabbing the one she had wanted. eyes seemed to sparkle with joy, and she bows at least three times alone out of gratefulness. “ thank you, thank you, thank you. ”

one she’s done with it, she gestures to the correct one with her right hand. “ it’s the ones with the more peach-coloured palette. ”

"no worries," hyunjin smiles, handing the peach colored item to the smaller girl. it always felt good to help someone, no matter how big or small the task was. she's more than happy to offer an extra hand. glancing at the stationary sets that the both of them holding, hyunjin hums. "i like the one you're getting. maybe i'll get it too!" she laughs a little, putting back a blue-themed set to get a second bundle of what the other girl has.

"do you need anything else up here? i can get it for you," she offers.
