I finally did it guys: I got my first ever tattoo, and of course it was Locked Tomb related! One of my favorite quotes from the series, "You can't take loved away" from Nona the Ninth. In addition to representing my love of the books and characters, it has multiple meanings to me: about love, grief, and remembrance. I'm so happy with it, and the actual experience was phenomenal too.
Ink was done by Ash at Atelier Eva in Brooklyn NY. And the font is Pirata One.
Thanks to all my twitter friends who weighed in on things like arm positioning (something I changed last minute!) and italics vs. no italics too. In the end: I am absolutely in love with it.

"life is too short and love is too long" is the most insane thing I've ever read and i cant believe it was said between two queer platonic second cousins right before they fused souls steven universe-style and changed their name to paul

For me, Kiriona Gaia is just. The way her gender identity is in clothing that's so pristine once she's her father's acknowledged heir. There's a lesbian who loves wearing roughed-up jeans and scuffed boots and a man's leather jacket. And she comes out to her dad and her dad says "I love you. And to show that I accept you're butch, I've bought you some pristine tailored suits. Don't get any dirt on them"

Day 7 of my favourite quotes from my favourite books:
“'War, Kevin! It's gonna be war!' and Kevin just said, 'Ugh,' and lay back down in bed, completely unmoved by war.”

no matter who wins the latest character poll, I think we all really know in our hearts who deserves the crown. whose experiences and frame of reference we can definitely all easily understand, agree upon, and relate to. so in that spirit....
