While on her way to visit the Human Village, Haruka's tail catches a glimpse of pink and white through the bamboo. With her attention caught, she turns to look. Oh? A rabbit! There is an air of something around this mysterious rabbit. Regardless, Haruka decides to approach and give her trademark greeting, hoping she can manage to get another friend out of this. "Hello. My name is Haruka Nagao. I am a nobiagari. I have not seen you around here. What is your name? Are you associated with the other rabbits I see around Eientei?" Little does she know what she might be getting herself into. This is no ordinary rabbit. She has encountered Tewi Inaba.

Master List (Part 2)

I'm back with the next part of the Master List! This will go over the other elemental masters we see through out the series

A few things before we start. I have no plans to add any Dragons Rising characters YET. I don't have enough info about them to confidently give them a species. But I will probably include them when more info is given.

Also some of these elements were hard to find Yokai for so I had to take some liberties and adjust the original Yokai's powers. I'm sorry if anything is wildly inaccurate I tried my best to not change them too much.

With that said let's get on with it! (this is a long one)

Kitsune - A broad term for the shape shifting foxes of many abilities. They are divided into five ranks and two specific types of Kitsune, Zenko and Yako. The Zenko are good foxes while the Yako are evil/mischevious foxes. Kitsune, not of the elemental master's family, can travel up the ranks based on age. However, Yako can only travel up to the second rank while Zenko can travel up to the fifth.

Chiko - The second ranking of Kitsune. At this point they start to gain more tails and stronger powers. They have the power of Amber. The power's they absorb are temporary and weaker. This rank is generally neutral composed of both Zenko and Yako, leaving them to be wild cards.

Hōō - A regal phoenix-like bird that holds the power of Wind. Similarly to the Kirin they were seen as omens of good luck and symbolizes faith and mercy. Their peaceful nature is not to be tested.

Obariyon - A humanoid monster that holds the power of Metal. In older times, they were the size of children and loved to jump on travelers back slowly turning into metal before crushing them. But, in recent times, they have grown in size and can instantly turn their bodies into metal.

Kūko - The second highest ranking of Kitsune. They have lost their tails, becoming even more human-like, but they still have their ears. They hold the power of Mind and are extremely powerful mind readers. They are wise and tend to help others.

Kodama - Small spirits that hold the power of Nature. They attach themselves to a tree that stands as their live force. They were seen as gods of the trees and protectors of the forest. Being determined they protect their forests making sure they are healthy.

Tsukumogami - An object that has been possessed by a spirit

Zorigami - A type of tsukumogami where the spirit possesses an old clock, usually over 100 years old. This grants them the power of Time. Usually Zorigami will alter their form to hide or disguise the clock, as it is considered their "heart".

Daitengu - The higher ranking Tengu that appears more humanoid with longer noses. They hold the power of Form. They are the most skilled shapeshifters rivaling the powerful Kitsune, mostly because the Kitsune's powers stretch through various ranks.

Kama Itachi - Weasel-like monsters with sickle like claws. They hold the power of Speed and move faster than the wind. They usually live in a family of three.

Nurikabe - Rarely seen they are described as pale and bipedal or as a wall. They hold the power of Light allowing them to turn invisible. In the past they liked to stretch themselves into a wall like being and block paths.

Nobiagari - Beings that are usually seen as shadows at 30cm in height. They hold the power of Shadow. When not stretching to their full height they are cloaked in a shadow. They can stretch up to around 30-40 feet high in their true, solid, form.

Enenra - Beings that are usually seen as smoke. They hold the power of Smoke. Similarly to the Nobiagari they can take a more solid form but are usually seen cloaked in smoke.

Nigawarai - Humanoid beings with horns and green tinted skin and hair. They hold the power of Poison. Their claws are tipped with a sort of unknown poison. This poison, while terribly bitter, can cure stomach pains. There are plans to use this poison in modern medicine.

Kotengu- The lesser ranking Tengu that appears in a more bird appearance with human features. They hold the power of Gravity. In the past they enjoyed floating people up into the air without warning or dropping rocks and other objects on them from above.

Yamabiko - Small dog or monkey-like creatures that hold the power of Sound. They are masterful mimics and can mimic any sound. They are rarely seen and often hide in the forests using their mimicry to scare visitors off.

And that's it! This took a while to find enough different and accurate Yokai to fit the elements, but I did! Even though I probably will not be drawing many of these Yokai... But hey, it's an excuse to learn about more Yokai so it's fine!

There will probably not be another part of the master list for a while as I want to focus on finishing the references sheets for the main characters. The next post will be another reference sheet.

I hope this AU is interesting to you guys. I'm having a lot of fun with it and already have some comic ideas! Hope you guys are having a good day!!

If given the chance to make a game based on yo-kai watch, what would you do for plot stuff, gameplay, characters ect?

If I were to make a YKW game, it would pick up where 3 left off bc I know nothing about 4 lol. So uhhhh this one's kinda Yo-kai Watch 3.5

-First of all, I'd want to combine all the areas available in 2 and 3. Old Springdale, Gera Gera Land, the Infinite Inferno/Divine Paradise, and the Infinite Tunnel all come back, as well as New Yo-kai City and BBQ bc I'd want my boy Buck to make an appearance <3

-ALSO KATIE IS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER

-I can't decide whether I want 3's battle system or the original wheel, I like both but the wheel has a bit more points for nostalgia

-For characters, Hailey and Buck both come back because them and the MC form the best trio ever. Also Buck can have his own yo-kai friend. As a treat. Idk who though. It'd probably be a 'Merican yo-kai.

-Idk how I'd make the "switching back and forth between BBQ and Springdale" thing work story-wise, but who needs coherence when you have the funny southern american boy haha am I right !!

-Also I'd want to add more classic yo-kai based on other japanese folkloric creatures!! I want a yo-kai based on the Nobiagari SOOOO badly. or the Amabie. or the Ao Andon. Or the Karyobinga!! I could literally go on and on forever. maybe I'll make some fake yo-kai art idk

-Plus some 'Merican yo-kai based on some American mythology too. Bigfoot, mothman, etc. maybe Noko can have a 'Merican counterpart based on the hoop snake and that'll be ykw3.5's token unobtainable streetpass Noko

-As for plot, if I've made anything clear, I want Lucas to be involved. I want him to be involved soooooo badly. And he has to be at the FOREFRONT of this damn plot, none of that showing up at the last second shit. Maybe the MC trio have to protect him from a Big Bad trying to kill him, ORRRRR maybe HE'S the one that turns evil and its up to the MCs to stop him for committing evil little boy crimes. Is it too obvious that I want evil lucas? I want evil lucas btw.

-Also I think it was mentioned in ykw1 that Venoct was kinda put in charge of "protecting" Lucas/acting as some sort of guardian for him, and then in 3, during part 1 of that enma note quest where Lucas got thanos snapped, Venoct says he feels like he's "missing something important." expand on this. I am begging. expand more on venoct's whole bodyguard arc

-theyre probably not gonna do anything plot-wise but I just want the wicked yokai to be there. for funsies lol. I just like them theyre so scrurngkly

-BRING BACK FORGOTTEN YKW 1 BOSSES. WHERE IS TARANTUTOR. WHERE IS PHANTASMURAI

-I'd make Lina and Zoe's Ghost Club plot relevant bc out of all of Nate/Katie's classmates, those two and their weird little freak club is the most interesting, also the fact that Lina BEFRIENDED A BOSS YO-KAI?? Insane. love that for her. theyre interesting I like them a lot

-also maddiman is befriendable now

-I'd make another yo-kai watch CEO guy and his name would be Sealon Musk (seal) and he'd invent the new watch for ykw 3.5. It's called the SpaceWatch and it sounds cool and interesting but all it does is explode. Also it costs 8.2 million dollars and whisper had to sell all of your medals and also jibanyan's soul on the black market in order to get one, and that's how the medallium gets reset this game

if I get anymore ideas or like an actual coherent plot ill probably add on later, but I think thats it for now lol

"Huh. That's... a bit of an odd question to ask someone you just met, Haruka." Chen was also going to need to do some research to find out what a Nobaigari is. She had never met one before, after all.

"I have indeed been there before, though. A few times, in fact! I get my shots whenever I need them from Doctor Yagokoro, and you have to go through the Bamboo Forest to get to Eientei. So yeah, I've been through there a few times, it's a pretty interesting place~"

"Oh! D-Did Lady Satori really talk about me? I hope it's nothing bad, nice to meet you, Miss Haruka! As for being a fox?..."

Well, he has to think a bit. A fox, huh?...

"I think I can provide somewhat of a description, but... I guess being a fox has the pleasure of soft tails, but lots of people are quite wary of you-... Especially the humans."

"B-But other than that, everything's fine, really!"

"Hello. My name is Haruka Nagao. I am a Nobiagari. I am disliked by people too, but, no offence, I do not think I am hated as much as you. I have some questions for you. What is it like being an Amanojaku? Is it stressful? Fun? Do you mind the hatred you face? I find you quite interesting, and I would like to know more."

"Uh-huh. Yeah, whatever... Look; this isn't gonna be some sort'a "kindred spirits" type deal, y'know? Fuckin' weirdo..." There was a reason why Amanojaku were so hated; and it wasn't prejudice. At least... not wholly.

"What's it like being an amanojaku...? Pah. What a shit question. Everyone wants my head, and I hate those that don't. You tell me if that sounds like a life of fun..."

I found out a couple weeks ago that one of my favorite series, GeGeGe no Kitarō, returned recently as a new series! So I decided to make this sketch for it. This yokai is the Nobiagari from the first episode, it can turn people into Vampire Trees.
