Oh geeze– I’m not super sure but I’ll give it a go (Using only children’s books, naturally); ((this has been in my ask box for months I’m sorry– I dreamed I’d answered it and then realized I hadn’t lol))

Gryffindor; Where the Wild Things Are

Gryffindors are crazy creatures who, at least on the outside, just want to roll around and have fun– but when you look into their hearts they are people who want to make friends and go on adventures, who want to sleep in crazy places and howl at the moon and laugh until they turn blue, and sometimes they can get a bit carried away with the rough housing and wild life , but in the end they’ll always find their way back to those who truly love them.

Did you just mean Hei Ran? Tiny and menacing looking but is just a ball of fluff. You can bet Dae-Hyun would be fetching his Snubbull all around the carnival because it is the kind of Pokemon that would look for attention someplace else the moment DH stopped cuddling it.

Noah would get anxious about the poor thing not being able to stay still, but it is painfully accurate to his own life. He’s always gotta be doing something. Spoink is always around when DH’s has nightmares and usually tries to support him as best as possible.

[ 🧱 ] how would you describe your muses’ morality? what are their core values?

Because of his own upbringing, he believes in hard work, respect, honesty and compassion. Dae-Hyun is the kind of person who will grunt or sass you if you ask for a favor but will still do it without expecting a thing in return. You forgot to make food? He will prepare you something. Your coffee table finally gave in? He will repair it. You need someone to volunteer with at whatever event? He’ll do it. He grew up in the circus and for him, a strong community is everything. He doesn’t like very uptight people, but is not against getting to know them either if  they are respectful.

[ 💍 ] does your muse have a “type” of people that they prefer to enter relationships with? is their type generally compatible with them, or does the dynamic tend to be toxic?

Abandonment issues all through and through. He’s either possessive or dismissive. A shit ton of one night stands and numbers he ain’t calling again or hyperfixating on one person until it they break up with him or it becomes unbearably toxic. Has had a couple of stable relationships, one from the circus and another one from UK. Both had their ups and downs.

[ 🤝 ] how does your muse approach intimacy? are they hesitant, or do they like it? what types of intimacy do they like and dislike? (ex. physical intimacy, sexual intimacy, emotional intimacy, etc.)

His giving love languages are acts of service and gifts, but I feel like his receiving ones are also acts of service, but also physical touch because kid is touch-starved — prompted by the fact that sometimes he senses people’s stuff when touching them ( clairsentience ). If he knows the person or gets along with them, he’s big on the aftercare/cuddling department, otherwise he’ll most likely keep you at arm’s length when it comes to physical affection. He likes sex, because it numbs him to psychic shit... most of the times unless the person he’s sleeping with has too much baggage.

[ 🎵 ] is there a specific song or songs you associate with your muse? why is that?

I have a playlist for DH right HERE. But aside of that, probably the second song ‘Hijo de la Luna’ (Child of the Moon) is a ‘86 Spanish song that tells the story of a woman who prayed to the moon to marry the man of her dreams, but in exchange, the moon would take the first child she had with this man.

The child is born with very light skin and gray eyes and the woman’s husband thinks she has cheated on him (the man had brown or tanned skin), so he kills her and abandons the child at the top of a hill; there, the moon supposedly took the child in.   Here’s a link to the song with English translation in case anybody’s interested.   Warning: the song mentions the term gypsy which we know is a slur and outdated.

“Reminds me of my childhood”, he spoke up after swallowing the cookie, “Nothing but hot cocoa and cookies stolen from the ringleader’s tent after a show well done”, Noah grinned before taking another bite. A giraffe behind them stretched the tongue to try and steal the cookie, but the psychic moved it away from its grasp. “Even the same problem of dealing with animals who want a bite as well”, he commented and then looked at the animal, “Ain’t good for you, buddy, but I will bring you some oats ones next time”.

“I’m noticing the Graves-Seong siblings have a thing for baked goods. Went over to Dorothy’s place last week to bake some cookies as well. I guess none of you grew out the sweet tooth, hm?”, he smiled, “but how are Sera and Crash? Haven’t seen them in ages either; maybe we could go out to get dinner some other day and catch up”. Dae-Hyun was going to bite into the rest of the snack when he heard the distant cry of a child; something he would have attributed to a full carnival, but this cry chilled his bones and spiked the hairs of his nape. The tension caused him to break the cookie in half, bringing him back to reality. “Oh! Anxious ticks”, he laughed softly before picking up the bits from the ground before an animal got to them. “So, uh — been up on the trapeze lately? Memories are getting to me, maybe we should go say hi to the trapeze artists, see what they’re up to”.

“I am”, he replied while searching for something through his bag. The air inside the motel room was cold and he never thought about turning on the cool air ever in his life. It was always the heater either in Anchorage or abroad with his grandparents.

After digging through his things, he finally found it: sunscreen. “I don’t remember the last time I used this”, he mumbled while reading the bottle before opening the cap and squeezing a bit into his hands and then proceed to rub it all over her face with little delicacy, squeezing her cheeks in the process. “It ain’t Anchorage any longer, junebug. You gotta protect your skin. Rule number 1 of skincare is to use sunscreen”, he chuckled before pinching her cheek and spreading the remaining lotion on his hands.

“This isn’t a 5 star hotel, but, there is this guy I used to work with at the circus and he became manager of a 4 star one in LA. He told me we could crash over for a couple of days”, Dae-Hyun informed her with a big smile on his lips, canines showing in excitement. He threw the things back into the bag before reaching for the camera on the bed and hanging it around his neck. “We should go sightseeing, I’ve heard there’s a bunch of tourist traps around; let’s see how much fakery we can spot, hm?”

And instead of exiting the room, he sat back down on the bed, pulling her from the hands towards him, thumbs rubbing over her healing knuckles. “Oi! No long faces, got it? I told you then and I tell you now: Anchorage is no home without you, so no more sulking. You wanted to leave? Fine, but then I’m coming too. Should’ve thought about this before climbing me like a spider monkey that time in the trailer park”, Dae-Hyun laughed before pulling her down for a forehead kiss. “I just had forgotten what it was like to move around so much, but it’s exciting”, he whispered against her skin before pulling back. “There’s no other place I’d rather be”.

Not like he had something against baking, but as he placed everything on Dorothy’s counter, he looked at his hands — palms rough after so much manual work done at the carnival, the trailer park and the motel. He even managed to spot a couple of ink dots accidentally injected under the skin when he was toying with a pen carelessly. He just felt embarrassed, though, that he didn’t have enough delicacy to do something as sweet as baking something. He pursed his lips slightly and looked up to her with a resigned sigh. “Hedgehog cookies, then?”

Dae-Hyun started to put things out from the bags; when was the last time he spent uninterrupted time with an old friend? Always busy to keep his mind occupied caused him to distance himself from friends and family alike, but after the Holidays had come and gone, he had decided to fix that and avoid becoming like the old cranky man from the trailer park. “So, uh... how’s it going, butterfly? Haven’t had a chance to assist to your performances lately, I’m sorry; but will be fixin’ it. Count me in for at least twice a week; I’m sure you got a bunch of new tricks that you gotta teach me, gotta stay in the loop”, he smiled.

Noah would have expected more resistance from his own head when it came to the cookies, but his attention to detail made it easy for him to focus enough to shape the dough into the cute little animals. “Well, look at that, these ain’t looking so bad”, he mumbled with a little smile as he crouched down to level with the counter and look closer at the goodies. “Are we really going to eat all of these? Because if that’s so, we should at least prepare some tea; brought some from UK with me if you wanna try it. Just gonna climb up to my floor and get it”, he commented, before straightening his pose and walking towards the door. “You know what? I’m gonna go get it anyways, I think you will really like the strawberry one”.

He really doesn’t like the first Frozen movie, but secretly obsesses hard over the second one.

16: What sort of scents might trigger some flashbacks for your character?

Not a scent, but snow storms, specially during the night. It was during a similar night that his father was taken away. Sometimes very specific types of incense can literally trigger stuff for him.

46: Describe your character's overall look and whether they're aesthetically pleasing or not.

Comfortable and practical most of the times, but has learned to style his clothes more conveniently since he was in Bristol. He doesn’t have much money to buy many clothes, but he makes it work. A jacket always because he is always cold ( spirits make the temperature drop ), dress shirt if he needs to look more presentable. Most likely jeans and boots. Ah, hoodies are also a common thing!
