In addition to being a brilliant writer, @mostlyinthemorning makes these insanely beautiful handmade books. The time and care she put into these is incredible, and I am in awe of all Houdini's creations.

I have done the thing! This is the final book my series of handmade books featuring songs from Noah Reid’s album Adjustments. This is Michigan.

When you try something new, I think there’s three possible outcomes: it can fail completely, it can be a great success that you want to experiment with, or it can succeed but it takes so much time and energy that you wish you’d never done it in the first place. This definitely falls into the last category - doing all the paper weaving for each page just about ended me.

Text is printed on Strathmore watercolor paper, with textured heavyweight paper pages and chiyogami paper cover. Screw and post binding with embroidery thread, metal leaf, leather, and semi-precious stone.
