Disney must be quietly freaking out right now about the fact that in the current Environment they're about to release a movie about a Black Captain America and a Latino man fighting the white president of the United States who also happens to turn into a bright red enormously destructive rage monster.

#I was telling reena on sunday zoom that I wouldn't be surprised if they changed the release date #but I suspect there was too much already in motion for them to do so #there's been a fair amount of publicity for cap 4 but nowhere near the amount you'd expect #no superbowl spot for a movie coming out less than a week later?#pop culture discourse is going to get wild and ugly #poor sam and anthony mackie jeez this is going to be a mess no matter how good or bad the movie is #bedlam watches the mcu
