Fun WIP Facts

(It’s anyone’s guess how fun some of them are, though.)

Yesterday a conversation with @her-majesty-wears-jeans prompted this post. So here are five facts for three of my current WIPs:

“What Is the One Thing That Can Never Break?”:

- The fic from which that snippet with Hagen and Griffin is. In which Griffin is being less than reasonable and the Company are trying to make sure she won’t kill herself with exhaustion.

- Naturally, most (if not all) of the Company assume that she’s overworking herself because of the guilt she feels for working with the Coven... which is true but there’s also another angle to this.

- This one sort of follows the formula 5 + 1. Tbh that is what made me include Hagen to make it to 5. The other four are Oritel, Marion, Saladin and Faragonda of course.

- I thought of including Daphne, too, (since nobody tells you shit about her role in the war which I’m assuming was more than minor seeing how she was the Crown Princess of Domino) but that would’ve destroyed the 5 + 1 formula so, ultimately, I decided against it.

- I had this idea. Then I forgot it. Then I remembered it a few weeks later and had the common sense to write it down. I am so lucky that I remembered it because I love how it’s turning out but I still haven’t cleared up the last part of the 5 portion of this. Hopefully, that’ll happen soon because I love this fic!

Angel AU verse:

- This one is getting a prequel and two sequels. The prequel will explore heaven and angels and how they operate and will also have the first meeting of Griffin and Valtor. The sequel will have Griffin’s reaction to getting her wings cut off as well as changes that that causes in her and what it means for the universe. Things about Valtor will be revealed. And Faragonda is going to be majorly pissed. I’m not gonna talk about the last part yet since it will spoil things about the other two. Pretty much most of the major characters are mentioned in one point or another. Some even make appearances.

- All the worldbuilding is in this! I have created a version of hell and heaven that feels very unique, I think, and I can’t wait to share that!

- This universe is very much based on opposites and I messed around a lot with the elements. What we get here is basically air > fire vs. water > earth. If that makes any sense to you. XD Don’t worry, it will once the story is ready. (Speaking of opposites Faragonda and Griffin are diametrical opposites. Can you guess in what way?)

- I’ve used some knowledge from my Philosophy classes in high school to fit some elements around. It has to deal with conscience, how it manifests and what it’s role is. Basically, our teacher told us that according to philosoper-whose-name-I-don’t-remember’s theory the popular version of conscience in movies with an angel and devil on each of your shoulders is incorrect. In reality, you only have a devil on your shoulder and the conscience is playing the role of the angel. Have fun guessing how that fits into my universe. XD

- Speaking of guessing, who wants to try to guess how many angels there are in this universe? It’s a fixed number of characters we’ve seen on the show.

Mysterious AU:

- This one is totally inspired by a place that is very significant in Earth history. Any guesses which one it is?

- A focal point in this AU is the color red and blood. Yet, somehow nobody is dying. On page, at least.

- When I wrote the largest part of this, I was listening to “Venus in Furs” by Angie and now I associate the song with the fic... even though it has nothing to do with the story... Seemingly... I feel like there is some connection there but I can’t really explain it in words. More on an emotional level rather than anything else.

- This is full of hatred between Griffin and Valtor. Mostly on her end. Really, he is very impressed by her since her magic is like nothing he’s ever seen before. Too bad Griffin is nowhere near the same spectrum of emotions when it comes to him. She hates him with a burning passion. Though, Valtor knows how to get even past that... I’m not sure whether that makes him evil or someone who deserves sympathy. Probably both?

- Having said that, Griffin comes to see the similarity between herself and Valtor... which led to me daydreaming up a sequel in which the relationship between them changes significantly both on a... let’s call it professional and personal level and she starts seeing the good inside him. But I am forewarning you from now that I will not be writing this. It will have to be super long for it to be believable and not rushed.

Tatsunoko Vs Capcom 2: The Dream Battle Reborn

If they ever want to make another TvC game then for the Tatsunoko side I want the following characters:

Kurenai Sanshiro aka Judo Boy from : He’s a judoka that could be the new grappler character to be Alex’s rival. Sanshiro would look so bad ass judo throwing Gold Lightan. Judo chop vs Flash chop battles ensue.

Go Mifune aka Speed Racer: Didn’t make the first game and was a notable omission. He’d be like a mix of Cody from Street Fighter Alpha 3 (throwing and swinging a wrench) and Jin Saotome from the MvC series (Mach V appearing in LVL 3 super like Jin’s mecha arm.

Liliane Von Phoenix aka Hime from Princess Resurrection: We need a female character and a character that represents the new school of Tatsunoko. She’ll be a fun gadget character that summons the other cast members of the show like Hiro to do her special attacks. She’ll also use a bunch of weapons like an axe and chainsaw for her normals. She’ll be the rival or Frank West who uses a similar style of play

Shurato Hidaka from Legend of Heavenly Sphere Shurato: He’ll be that high combo rush down character, think Rolento from Street Fighter Alpha. His super will have him don the armor to do spectacular super moves.

Ace from Space Ace or Uchuu Ace: A tiny character to be Mega Man’s rival. Ace can use his ring like he’s a tiny Captain America flinging it around to attack his opponents. Maybe he calls holographic robot Ibo for a giant laser beam from the heavens for a super move. Fun fact: Ace is the first Tatsunoko Production anime, Ace’s surrogate dad is named Dr. Tatsunoko.

Pururun aka Polly Esther: Know that Samurai Pizza Cats was only co produced by Tatsunoko and the media rights are kinda all over the place (it’s on Crunchyroll though). It doesn’t matter, everyone wanted the Samurai Pizza Cats in TvC in the first place. Polly is going to be a quicker lighter Wolverine with special moves like Silver Samurai (albeit “heart” themed). Her super will obviously get Speedy and Guido to lend her a helping paw and maybe a level three with that super canon.

That’s my additions to a hypothetical sequel to a fighting game that has too much swag and promise for it’s own good and was only released on the Nintendo Wii. It was probably the best fighting game on the Wii that wasn’t called Smash Bros.
