Ethan being bi is not canon. Canon events happen in every "universe", i.e. the chemical attack is canon because no matter if you have f!MC or m!MC, no matter who you romance or what choices you make, it happens. I don't have a problem with the idea of Ethan being bi or straight. But a large part of readers never questioned Ethan’s sexuality because him being bi is not canon. It just a variant from one multiverse. :)

i'm not saying he's playersexual. most lis in pb's goc novels are playersexual. he is not.

my proof being that someone at pixelberry went out of their way to give him an ex who is a guy. if he was supposed to be straight, why would pb bother doing that? why would he be straight in one route and bi in the other?

sure, to keep from alienating their more vocal ($$$) cishet audience, but why is the fandom corrobberating that decision?

also, im going to take it a step further and say that him being bi literally does not change your headcanon in any way. he doesn't have to have an ex bf in your world, nor does he have to be a leather daddy with a pup mask and a love for taking it up the ass
