today i unlocked new depths to the lilo interpretation of my boy only breaks his favorite toys

“once i fix me he’s gonna miss me” = lily thinking that once she’s recovered lo won’t want to be in a relationship or like her as much because she won’t enable his drinking / bad behavior and it will always make their sex life more complicated. like he will miss the old version of her in the original stages of their relationship because that lily was “easier” to be with and she doesn’t want him to resent her

their tethers to the rest of the outro are so straightforward and obvious that it feels like it goes without saying but also the “told me i’m better off / but i’m not” is so when lo goes away to rehab and promises this will be better for lily but she doesn’t think being without him is ever the better scenario and has a hard time believing that recovery is the best option for them / that they have to be separated to fully recover. like he’s promising it’s for the best but she just doesn’t buy it
