Steddie | 2.2k | first meetings | ao3
“What did you say the name of the band is again?” Steve asks. He has to raise his voice above the sound of the music playing before the concert and the hundreds of conversations around him.
“Corroded Coffin” Dustin says, probably for the hundredth time, or that’s what his tone suggests.
“It’s written on the drums.” Mike adds with his constant bitchy petulant tone.
Steve turns around and fair enough, the name is written there in the drums. They are also right there as they had queued for hours to be at the front (they are not in the centre but there’s no one standing in front of them), and apparently the band and place are small enough that there is no security line in front of the stage. Steve has been leaning against it with a drink in his hand while they wait for the concert to start. And that’s his excuse. He was leaning against the stage, so the drums were to his back, he couldn’t have read them.
“C’mon Steve, even I learned the name of the band in the eternity we have been here” Robin says which, rude, but she had agreed to come keep him company at a metal concert without asking for anything in return, so he will let it pass.
The kids (not quite kids anymore, but close enough) had needed an adult to get into the 18+ venue the concert was held at, and of course that adult had to be Steve because “we are not going to bring one of our parents into a metal concert Steve” and “Nancy and Jonathan are not even in the state and you said you were fun, didn’t you?” and he is fun, so he had to agree. And drag Robin with him, of course.
“Well I would remember the name if it wasn’t a stupid name” he says, a bit too loud if the looks he receives from some of the people around them are anything to go by.
“If you are so annoyed why don’t you go hang out at the bar and leave us alone?” Dustin asks.
“If I’m at a concert I’m getting the full experience, I’ve not queued for hours to stay at the bar. And I have to make sure you don’t get squished to death or accept drinks from strangers.”
“We are sixteen, you already drank when you were sixteen.”
“But I didn’t have a wristband telling everyone I was a minor.” He emphasizes this by hooking his forefinger on said wristband around Dustin’s wrist. The boy takes his hand away with a huff, but whatever he was going to say gets interrupted by a loud cheer as the lights of the venue dim. All eyes turn to the stage, and Steve forgets everything about the little shits around him.
They play the first two songs without interruption, back to back, and they are much better than Steve had expected them to be when the kids had pitched the idea of going to a concert of ‘a super cool band’ they had found on tiktok of all places. Steve is very quick to understand their raising popularity on social media the moment his eyes land on the frontman. He is not even wearing anything scandalous, just black jeans, some graphic tee and a leather jacket, but fuck if he isn’t attractive. His big eyes, teasing smile and wild hair are very much deserving of the screams they awake in the audience.
When the second song finishes, they don’t start a new one, the frontman takes the microphone from the stand.
“Are you ready for the best night of your life?” he shouts, and the audience answers with shouts of their own. Steve finds himself whooping, and answers with a smile and a shrug to Robin’s amused silent question as both of them clap. “We are Corroded Coffin,” more yelling, and the frontman stars walking around with a smile on his lips while he looks at the ground, clearly enjoying the attention. “And these aaaaaare…” he prolongs the last word, building a dramatic effect. “Gareth!” he shouts, pointing to the back dramatically. There are yells, the boy at the drums doing a short solo before he stands up to wave at the audience. “Jeff!” more yells, a guitar solo. “Our favourite Freak!” laughs from band and audience alike, more yells, and the boy with the bass trying to hit the frontman with said bass. “And I’m Eddie.”
‘Eddie’ Steve mouths the name.
There are yells as the frontman finishes, a small bashful smile on his lips back on his face after the laughing as he plays with the microphone stand with the hand that is not currently holding the microphone. He looks up at the audience when the yells don’t stop, gives a small dramatic bow and smirks when the yells grow louder once again.
“EDDIE MARRY ME” a voice yells from somewhere in the audience.
“Oh? Without going on a date first?” Eddie asks, he has his gaze set somewhere on the audience, and Steve is a bit impressed at how easily he has spot the person in the sea of bodies.
“I’M FREE WHENEVER.” The same voice yells again, it makes Eddie laugh.
“I’m honoured, my fair lady, but I’ll have to decline. I’m looking for my knight in shining armour myself.” There are ooohs from the audience but Steve’s gut makes a traitorous interested twist. “And speaking of knights,” he says, putting his hands back on his guitar, “I think you may know this one.” One note, and the audience is going crazy. Dustin is jumping up and down while he holds onto Steve’s arm, and Steve can’t help but laugh at him.
It's when that third song is finishing that it happens. The guitarist is starting a solo, and Eddie looks down to the base of the microphone stand, pulls a confused face, and then looks around. He must not see whatever he was looking for because he has a confused furrow in his brow when he does a second sweep around the stage and beyond, and he catches Steve's eyes. He maintains the eye contact for a second, two, five, and then looks down to Steve’s hands and back up again. There is a smirk in his face Steve is not entirely sure he likes the implications of as he walks towards him while he keeps playing.
Steve can hear Dustin screaming “oh my god, oh my god, oh my god” right next to his ear as Eddie comes closer until he is standing right in front of them.
The musician is still looking at Steve as he leans forward and asks “give me a sip?” as he looks down at Steve’s hands for a second. (Or at least that’s what Steve guesses he says, the noise too loud for him to really hear him without his mic.)
Steve lifts his drink, and the frontman leans forward and down with a smile. He opens his mouth and Steve pours his drink in it. When he finishes, he winks at Steve before he walks away in time to start singing again. The kids around him are screaming, Robin is surely going to make him partially deaf and is shaking him so hard he almost drops the rest of his drink. It takes until the next song starts for the bunch to calm down a bit and focus on the show again.
The thing is, that is not the last time it happens. Eddie comes back to steal sips from his drink every few verses, and when Steve’s drink is finished and he goes to get a beer, he is miraculously let back to the front by the audience. Eddie, of course, also wants to have his share of the beer. So they share it.
It is, if Steve is honest, the weirdest experience he has ever had in a concert. But he is having too much fun and would not change it for anything. A hot singer and guitarist coming to him every few minutes and bending down so Steve can pour drink into his mouth? The best thing that has happened to him all month. It only gets better when Eddie ditches his leather jacket – Steve was starting to wonder when that was going to happen because it’s much too hot in the venue for it and he is sure that a big reason Eddie needs to drink so much is because he is sweating it all and dehydrating – and reveals that the tee he was wearing underneath has the sleeves cut off very freely. Steve can see most of the man’s torso and that is a SIGHT. There are tattoos on his arms and ribcage that Steve immediately wants to see complete, and his waist is slim where the shirt is tucked into the jeans. It makes Steve bite his lip in want.
He is about to pour the last of their third beer in Eddie’s mouth when a small hand stops him. He looks to the side with confusion, sure that none of the kids or Robin would stop him at this point and is met with the smile of a small blonde girl.
“Give him this please” she says, handing him a bottle of an electrolyte drink. Steve looks back at Eddie just in time to see him groaning. “No more beer.” She adds, pointing to Eddie as if he was a misbehaving dog, he is surely giving the look, with his big brown eyes and sad look. She turns back to Steve, “and sorry about that, any new drinks you get are on us.”
She is gone with that. Steve looks at Eddie, at the new drink in his hand. Eddie shrugs, defeated, and leans forward. Steve quickly empties the rest of the beer in his mouth before he opens the new bottle and starts pouring from it. Eddie doesn’t drink much, too busy trying not to choke on the beer and his laughter.
Eddie ditches his guitar towards the end of the concert for a ‘calmer’ song. He walks around the stage as he sings to a boy involved in him that tries to deny the depth of their relationship and tries to date girls, and how in the future he is going to regret not staying with him. He has great stage presence, he has been flirting with the audience between songs, dramatic and charismatic, a bit over the top. Maybe the fastest crush Steve has ever developed, happy to enjoy his part in the show, even when he knows it’s not going to lead anywhere.
Steve feels his heart accelerating as Eddie walks towards him, which is ridiculous, they have been doing this all night. But this time Eddie shakes his head when Steve gets the drink ready, and he can only look as he kneels on the edge of he stage right in front of him as he sings the bridge. They are holding eye contact now, and it’s the closest they have been. Eddie’s eyes are captivating, Steve can only stop looking at them to glance down at his lips. It seems he was caught, because the next second Eddie is speaking.
“Are we about to kiss right now?” he asks, and Steve looks back up to his eyes. He lifts his eyebrows, trying to convey ‘bring it on’ as best as he can as he licks his lips, Eddie’s eyes glancing at them. It must work, because the next second Eddie is leaning forward, and now Steve’s hand is on his nape, and their lips are pressing against each other.
It’s probably the filthiest kiss Steve has participated on. At least with an audience. It’s not long, Eddie has to keep singing after all, but they make up for it in tongue action. The audience goes crazy around them, but Steve doesn’t pay attention to them at all, only focused on Eddie. He at least must be paying some attention to their surroundings because he pulls off in time to keep singing and stands up to move around the stage.
There are a couple of songs more, and then Eddie is introducing the band again before he starts listing all the members of the staff that have made the concert possible.
“We also wouldn’t have made it here without our precious manager Chrissy,” he adds, “even when she worries too much sometimes. Three beers are not enough to get me drunk, especially not shared ones. And that reminds me! I can’t forget to thank my knight in shining armour, my perfect drink partner…” he trails off.
“STEVE!” Robin shouts next to him.
“Steve” Eddie repeats with a smile. “Thank you for the drinks. Don’t go running off now too fast now, alright? Stay for a bit after the concert, I owe you a couple of beers.” He finishes with a wink.
The kids and Robin are screaming again, and Steve is sure he is going to have bruises tomorrow from their grabbing, but he doesn’t stray his gaze from Eddie. At least not until the last song finishes, the lights from the stage turn off, and the rest of the lights of the venue turn on. Then, and only then, Steve turns towards the others.
“How did you say you were going to get back home again?”

i watched harry’s video and got super inspired to write this, it’s definitely one of my favorite things i’ve done so i hope you like it 🥺
ALL GIFS ARE BY @delicatepointofview FOLLOW THEM FOR THE BEST GIFS EVER <33
MASTERLIST | MY PATREON
Tumblr media
“Do you think I should pack this?” you asked holding a video camera up, catching Harry’s attention.
“That would be great, love,” he said from the bed, watching you add the final items to your suitcase, “That way you can film me while I shower for when we’re apart.”
“Oh shut up,” you rolled your eyes with affection and he smirked, “I’m filming special moments with this, you know, backstage moments your photographers don’t always catch.”
“Bummer,” he shrugged, making you roll your eyes at him again, “I’m just kidding love, that is a very lovely idea.”
“It’s settled then.” You smiled at him and put the camera in your suitcase, knowing that by the end of the tour, it would be filled with the most special and heartfelt moments.
Tumblr media
“What are you doing down there, lovie?”
“Making sure I get all of your angles,” you shrugged, focused on your video camera, “Here’s the rockstar, getting his steps in before hitting the stage.”
He let out a laugh before you could catch a flash of mischief in his eyes, “You know, there’s another way I could get my cardio in.”
“Stop it, you’re on camera,” you held your finger up and gave him warning eyes, you were planing on showing this videos to his mom who couldn’t be with him all the time, and the last thing you wanted was her knowing abouthis shenanigans, “How are you feeling, nervous about tonight’s performance?”
“I feel good,” he said truthfully, “I’m excited to see everyone and sing our songs, but most importantly I’m excited to wear sparkly gear again.”
“There he is, there he is,” you couldn’t help but shake your head and smile, “I’m going to film the real stars of the show, Mitch and Sarah, so say bye.”
“Bye YN’s camera! Such a shame you’re not catching my post workout shower!”
Tumblr media
“It’s negative!” Nyoh said as she entered the room, making everyone cheer and clap.
“We’re not sick! That deserves a happy dance!” Harry said as he stood up and danced goofily around the room, making everyone laugh at him.
Looking at your camera sitting at the table, you decided it was a golden moment you couldn’t afford to miss.
“Okay Ny-ny, could you hold your test up so everyone knows why this man-child is dancing like a fool,” Nyoh showed her test to the camera, laughing as you moved it to show Harry who kept on dancing, “Sometimes I don’t know if I’m dating an adult or a five year old.”
“Come on lovie, dance with me!” he approached you, holding his hand out, “If you don’t I’m going to be sad” he said in a dramatic voice, and you passed your camera to Sarah who was sitting next to you, getting her to film the both of you.
“I want to kiss you right now but we can’t take off our masks,” Harry said before a minute of jumping around, “Easy tiger, we’ll be alone soon.”
Tumblr media
“Rehearsal time!” you said cheerfully, filming everyone on stage, “Here’s Sarah, Mitch, Pauli, Niji, Ny,” they all waved as you mentioned their names, “And there’s a dude called Harry who claims to be the headliner of the show, no one knows him tho.”
“Come on woman,” Harry gave you an annoyed playful look, “You know me, very well. Actually you know parts of my body that-“
“Harry! What’s with you and your horny comments all the time, you’re like a teenager!” you shook your head, all of his bandmates laughing at your banter.
“Can you blame me? I go home to you every night, I’m a lucky bastard.”
“That you are!” Pauli chimed in, making everyone laugh again.
The band continued rehearsing, you standing in a corner and catching some moments on video. Once they were done with Canyon Moon, Harry called for you.
“So, love. What do you think? Do we sound good.” Harry asked, looking at your with happy eyes, aware that you were still getting it all on camera.
“If by we you mean your band, they sound amazing as always. If you’re included in that ‘we’ then I don’t know, you should practice some more”.
Harry threw his head back in laughter, grabbing the hem of his shirt with one hand and his mic with the other, “Why are you sassy with me today! What have I done?”
You only shrugged and laughed along with him, getting on your tiptoes and kissing his cheek softly.
“Practice some more, I said!”
Tumblr media
“Aren’t you the cutest little thing ever?” you cooed at the baby in your lap, Mitch and Sarah asked you to watch their son while they run something with the rest of the band and you were more than happy to do it, “You’re the sweetest boy I know!”
“I thought I was the sweetest boy you knew!” Harry’s voice made its way to you ears, he entered the room accompanied by Mitch and Sarah, the baby instantly making grabby hands at his mom.
“You’re not a boy anymore, you’re basically pushing 30!”
“Don’t remind me!” he dramatically said, “I’m still young and full of life.”
The four of you laughed, Sarah moving to sit next to you and Mitch and Harry hanging out by the door.
“Did he give you any trouble?” Sarah asked, looking down at her son, “He just learned how to walk without any help do he could be a handful sometimes.”
“Not at all, he’s the easiest baby ever.” You smiled at them tenderly.
“He’s not only obsessed with walking, he’s obsessed with dancing too.” Mitch said before taking a sip out of his wine glass, he’s never without one.
“Oh! I didn’t know that!” Harry said excitedly, “Baby, dance for us!”
Sarah put him down and Harry tried to make a melody by hitting the wall and mumbling random stuff, the boy instantly moving his body in an adorable way that made everyone laugh and awe at him.
Harry noticed that you had grabbed your camera to film the moment and he spoke directly to it, “That’s it! We have Love On Tour’s official dancer”
Tumblr media
“Here’s the boss man, with his brand new Love On Tour jacket,” you filmed Harry, who was posing by the door showing off his new clothing, “I have my own too, with my name on it and all,” you turned the camera around to show yours briefly before turning it to Harry again, “Anything you would like to say?”
“It’s show time, baby!” he bobbed his head, making the sunglasses who were resting on his head fall to his eyes.
You burst out laughing and so did he after a minute of holding his straight face, “You’re such a dork!”
“But you love me a lot!”
Tumblr media
“Eu te amo, Brasil!” Harry yelled to the empty stadium after sound-checking Lights Up.
“As you can see, he’s excited to be here,” you zoomed in on him with your camera, “We love this country so much.”
“We do, we do,” Harry agreed, “I’m putting on my best dance clothes and shoes tonight, this show is going to be massive!”
“You’re a dancer now?” you asked to piss him off.
“Of course! Look at my moves.” He grabbed his mic with one hand, putting the other on his hip and moving funnily.
“Look at that! You’re going straight to Dancing with the Stars after this tour.”
“I’m more of a Dancing Moms kinda guy.” He shrugged, making everyone laugh before moving on with the next song to rehearse.
Tumblr media
“There it is, the 10th tweet about how they’re going to the show for Lloyd only.” You giggled, scrolling down your timeline while Harry watched over your shoulders.
“Okay, that’s it,” he said before standing up, “Lloyd Wakefield !” at this, the photographer turned his head around, previously in a conversation with Madi and some other crew members.
“Yes?” Lloyd asked in a confused tone, you stood back and grabbed your camera, knowing a funny moment you would love to remember was coming.
“I might have to fire you,” Harry said, his voice trying to sound serious but his eyes gave him away, “You’re stealing the show and I can’t accept that.”
Lloyd rolled his eyes and everyone in the room turned their attention to them with grins on their faces, they were used to Harry’s humor.
“Yeah? And who’s going to be your photographer now?”
“Or we could solve this like manly man, with a fight.”
“As if you would fight anyone!” you chimed in from your place, making them turn your attention to you.
“Is that my own girlfriend doubting me?” he said, faking an offended tone, “Bring it in, Wakefield”
Lloyd laughed but played along, bringing his arms up and playfully challenging Harry, but somehow they ended up putting their hands together and moving them back and forth.
“Look at the manly man, fighting for who’s the star of the show,” you said, your camera focusing on them, “Just another day on the road.”
“I don’t know what we’re doing but I’m winning!” Harry chirped and everyone laughed again.
Tumblr media
“Harry! Harry! Harry!”
Was all that was heard backstage at Reggio Emilia RFC Arena, some people holding up champagne glasses and jumping up and down.
“We did it!” Harry yelled as he placed himself in the center of the room, his vest long forgotten, jumping and twirling along with the cheers.
As usual, you were holding your camera, filming the special you knew he would want to replay over and over again.
“Congratulations baby, another world tour completed!” you said to him, “Any final words you would like to say to the camera.”
Harry paused to think for a few seconds before speaking, “I love you, that’s all,” she shook his head almost in disbelief, “You have been here for every step of the way, and that means the world to me, none of this would be possible without you.”
“Awe! Aren’t you a softie?” Jeff cheered, throwing his arm around his shoulders and ruffling his hair playfully.
“I’m just in love.” He winked at the camera and that was your cue to turn it off and take in the moment.
For three years, Love On Tour ruled the world and changed yours, giving you the opportunity to be by Harry’s side for every milestone and special moment.
The tour might had come to an end, but the memories created around it would last forever.
And you were glad you got them all on camera.

Wholesome moments
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Formula one grid & female!driver!reader
Summary - 5 wholesome moments
Warning - none tbh, happy crying?? Being drunk??
Reader drives for RedBull
-
One - Late to post race press
I was in my drivers room, relaxing after a race. Strolling through tiktok when my manager, Emma, rushs in looking annoyed. "Oh hi Emma" I offer her a small smile which seems to only annoy her more.
"What are you doing?!" Her tone angry, by now I was confused. Pointing down to my phone which had a random tiktok playing on repeat. "You have the post race press, it was meant to start ten minutes ago but their waiting on you!" It was only then when I finally looked at the time, she was right.
Jumping up from the leather sofa, rushing out of my room toward the conference room with Emma close behind. Walking in, I could see everyones eyes on me. "Hey...so sorry for my tardiness" Laughing at myself awkwardly whilst everyone soon joined in with laughter.
Sit down in my seat between Fernando and Carlos. "So tell us Y/n what was so important that time fell away from you?" Turning my head to Daniel who had a smug smile on his face.
"Well if you must know Danny, tiktok has become very addictive recently" I wore a sheepish smile on my face as the room once again erupted in laughter.
"See kids these days, hooked to their phone" Daniel replied, shaking his head knowingly. It wsm't long before the laughter died down and we started press with myself in attendance.
Two - Prankster
If there was one thing on the paddock that I was known for it would be my notorious prank on anyone and everyone. LIke one time, I posted a instagram announcing 'my retirement'. This meant that I had my phone blowing up, texts, comments, missed calls and etc. I remember about two minute after I posted the instagram, I could a call from Christian. "Hey Chris!"
"What the hell Y/n?! What is going on with your instagram post?" I had to surpress my laughter and acted somewhat sad. He sounded upset, this made me feel almost sad for him.
"Oh yeah I know that its the middle of the season but I found some thing better for myself.." It was going great, I loved it. After a few seconds of silence, he came back to his sense.
"What could you have possible found that is better than not only driving for Redbull but for formula one?!" His voice was soon becoming more and more annoyed, and what I was about to say would set him off.
It was really hard to surpress myself from laughing when I told him the 'better thing'. "Have you ever heard of dog food tasters?" One could only imagine what his head was going through.
Yet again there was a few seconds of an awakward silence, a silence to sit through and not laugh. "Y/n... you're kidding me, you're the fussiest person I have ever met! And you're going to from fucking formula one and redbull to a dog food taster... you won't even drink coffee, let alone dog food!"
I could no longer hold in my laughter, doubling over I could hear Chris questioning my laugh. "Oh my god! You actually believed me, Christian I'm not leave redbull or formula one. I just pranked you" Dead silence until I heard Christian chuckle.
“I should of known, you little prankster” Let’s just say for the rest of the day, my phone would not turn off. Nearly every other driver on the grid calling, anxiety coursing through their heads.
Three - the little weight
It was the yearly FIA prize giving ceremony, everyone swapped out of their uniforms for gowns and suits. Hair and makeup done.
Sat in the buzzing venue, the night of celebrations meant I had not kept track of the amount of alcohol I was downing. Until I was announced as rookie of the year.
Raising from my seat, I made my way to stage. The crowd were clapping and cheering, I could see the other drivers sporting proud smiles.
Arriving to the mic which sat in the middle of the stage, I was handed my trophy. “Oh wow, thank you! I would like to say that I love you all and I’m that I want to thank Alex Turner for this because he is hot!” All it was rambling, I continued to ramble until Lando stood up from his seat.
“Quick question! Y/n how many drinks have you had?” His voice contained both concerns and amusement.
Holding up my free hand with two fingers, almost proudly. This small gesture made everyone burst into a light laughter. “Oh god! You are so drunk..” Lando trailed off whilst climbing up the stairs before walking me off stage.
“Come on, I think it’s time we start getting some water down you and maybe getting you home” He continued to walk me over to the grand reception where we waited for a taxi and drank some water.
-
Waking up the next morning, I was in my bed. Looking over at my phone, I could see a text from Lando along with other notifications probably regarding last night.
‘Hey kiddo, I managed to get you back to your apartment last night. Maybe next time don’t drink as much
Lots of love your big brother’
Checking social media, I immediately got embarrassment as my drunken ramble went viral.
Four - First F1 podium
“Okay Leclerc and Hamilton have a hot 7 seconds gap between you and them, keep pushing” It was the Austrian race and I had somehow settled myself into p2.
My anxiety was on an all time high when I was racing but currently being in p2 made that anxiety worsen. “Copy..” I was focused on getting that podium.
It would be my first podium, and even if I didn’t stand in pole position I would be happy. “How many laps left?” I asked my race engineer through the radio, I wanted to finish the race as soon as possible.
“Only two laps left, you can do it!” Only two that was reassuring to say the least. I could hear crowd cheering but I didn’t let that next my focus from the p2 spot.
“One lap left! Keep pushing!” One lap. One more lap until could stand on that podium for the first time. I accelerated the car, there was no chance I would catch Max but I had to keep that distance from the Ferrari and Mercedes behind me.
“There’s the checkered flag! You can do!” I could see the line and flag waving in the distance, it was only when I crossed the line that I really let my focus go and come to the realisation that I was on the podium.
“I did it! I fucking did it! P2 baby! That’s what I like to hear!” I could my race engineer laugh at my antics of the radio, whilst also tell me that they were incredibly proud.
-
Standing on the podium, I looked over at the crowd. A large smile was planted on my face. “Kiddo you did it! You’re on the podium!” I heard Max who was of course in p1 exclaim beside me.
I was soon soaked in sweet champagne, I didn’t care if it ruined my hair. All I cared about was the position I finished today’s race with.
Five - P1…oh how I like this view
Once again I was sat in the redbull car, awaiting for my the race to begin. I was very lucky to be granted pole position in Monaco of all places. It was tense as we all waited for the five lights to flash out.
And when the did, I was off leaving the wait line in no time. Tackling every tight curve, accelerating when ever I saw someone even get close to me.
I could feel the blazing sun down on my race suit. I could smell the scent of burning rubber. I could hear crowds who had lined the tracks. I could taste the exhaust filled air. But I felt like I had gone blind, just focusing on the track and maintaining my car from any possible damage.
Whilst in pit stop, my anxiety ran through the heavens. Just wanting to get back on the track and end with my win.
I was up against some of the best of the best. And I had to hold onto the pole position, hold onto that winning position.
“Verstappen is just over 5 seconds behind you so not much of a gap, keep pushing when you can” My race engineer was aware of anxiety when it came to racing, but she was also aware of my hunger for that winning position.
“Copy, how many laps?” Once again I was twisting around the narrow corners.
“Three, if you push the gap bigger you’ll probably win!” That’s was all I needed to give me motivation to push as hard as I can.
Pressing down on the accelerator, I heard the rumbling of my car increase in sound.
-
After three agonising laps, I could see the checkered flag being waved. Tears were welling up on my waterline. It was only when I cross that finish line when I then let them fall down my cheeks.
“I did… I’m first” I whispered, so only myself and my face engineer could hear. It was barely audible over the loud crowds who were cheering me on for my first win.
-
Finally standing above the number felt great. I felt tall, empowered, unstoppable and proud. Everyone was cheering as I was handed the trophy. Off to the side were the rest of the drivers who hadn’t won podium stood smiling up at me.
I felt that familiar family love once again. I always did whether I didn’t place top ten or if I had gotten to that first place position. I would be lying if I didn’t feel that love to them in return.

Dustin had been waiting this moment for months.
Mind you, Dustin isn’t one to bring up his personal life to the public at any chance he gets, but a part of him really wants everyone to know his role in one of the most important up-coming weddings of the year.
“So, I’ve heard you had a big role in all of this, what happened?” The host asks, on the edge of his seat.
“Well, I know Eddie cause we’ve done some livestreams together, we’ve met a couple of times and he seemed cool. And I know Steve cause, other than working together, he’s basically a brother to me, you know-” the audience interrupts him with a big ‘aaaaw’ sound and loud clapping.
“I think you misunderstood me, he’s the type of older brother who is no fun and makes you wish either of you was adopted.”
The audience laughs.
“Anyways, we were all at a party and I introduced them and Eddie was, you know, immediately obsessed with Steve. But Steve was engaged at the time,” Dustin decides to not dwell on this part of the story, it was a very tough time for Steve and some of it was public enough to make it worse. Dustin is just happy that he can talk about Steve’s ex-fiancé in the past tense.
“Time goes on, and as soon as the news of Steve being single again hits the public, I get a call from one begging Eddie Munson-” he wasn’t really begging but Dustin wants to sell the story “-asking about Steve once again. Like, how was he? Was he fine? Ready to meet other people? and I was like 'I don't know dude, I don't ask him about his dating prospects daily' and that's when he asked for Steve's number."
Dustin takes a small pause before going into the next part of the story "Obviously I don't go around giving people Steve's number, and I get asked a lot," the audience laughs again, "so I do the decent thing and ask Steve can I give Eddie your number? is it okay?
And Steve goes all into this theatrical performance Oi, no, mamma mia," Dustin goes strong with the Italian accent "All these men, che palle, they never leave me alone. Oddio-”
The host interrupts him “wait, does Steve have this strong Italian accent?”
“Of course not, he was born in Indiana, I’m trying to sell the story man!” Dustin pretends to be annoyed and the host goes along with it, making the audience laugh and cheer.
“Anyways, he was trying to say no but clearly meant yes. So I gave Eddie the number and whatever Eddie did with it, must’ve been the right call.”
A photo of Steve’s engagement announcement appears behind them right after: Steve and Eddie’s hands, finger intertwined and matching rings.
“Clearly he did” the host agrees after the clapping and cheering from the audience dies down.
“And what about wedding gifts? Are you doing something with the whole group? Or is it a solo thing?” The host inquires.
“Uh, I gave Steve a husband?? He should be giving me gifts”.
———
Predictably, the interview goes viral.
A few days later, Dustin comes back home to find a gift waiting for him.
It’s two VIP tickets for one of Eddie’s shows under his and Suzie’s name (a YouTuber friend Dustin didn’t have the courage to ask out, yet).
The note attached to the box is simple and very clear.
“Thank you, little shit. Now that we are even, the wedding gift is expected or you’ll be grounded.
See you at the wedding
S&E”
Despite being a twenty something, successful and independent since he was 17, Dustin takes the threat very seriously.

THE SWEETEST KISS
Tumblr media
PAIRING. dan heng x gn!reader
GENRE. fluff, roommate au
WARNINGS. reader is shorter than dan heng
WORD COUNT. 1k
SUMMARY. in which dan heng is a bit of a grinch, but you need help setting up the mistletoe for your christmas party and dan heng simply cannot turn you down.
A/N. happy holidays everyone !! :> is it too much to ask to spend the holiday szn with dan heng? :/ wishing and dreaming~ hope you enjoy this lil fluffy drabble!! xx sof
Tumblr media
Dan Heng was uncertain on how he felt about the cold.
On the one hand, the cold winter nights provided a great excuse for him to stay at home or in the library all day. On the other hand, he couldn’t say he was too fond of all the holiday festivities around the coldest times of year.
To him, they felt more like a celebration of capitalism and disposable income rather than a holiday with a purpose. Of course, him expressing his admittedly pessimistic sentiments ended up with you hanging a Grinch poster on his door.
Dan Heng both laughed and sighed when he saw it. You always knew how to get under his skin with the right amount of playfulness that never made him grow annoyed. As his roommate, perhaps it was a special skill you had developed over the months.
“Don’t worry. That’s just so people know not to go into your room or disturb you tomorrow,” you explained with a cheeky grin.
“Sure.”
“It is!”
You were currently setting up the decorations for your upcoming holiday party after begging Dan Heng for his permission to use the common areas of the apartment as a place to host for one night. And while you may have inadvertently called him a Grinch, he certainly had no interest in actually ruining your fun. So he gracefully agreed.
You were his roommate who paid half the rent after all. Of course he would agree to what you want, even if it was a cliche and over-the-top holiday party. And it certainly wasn’t just because he liked seeing you happy and cheerful.
That was simply one part of it.
As the day turned dark, Dan Heng sat on the couch while researching how food waste contributed to climate change to destress for the night. He looked up from his laptop after hearing a few thumps on the floor only to find you struggling to hang up a mistletoe on the tall entryway of the living room.
He hid a smile of amusement as you jumped and missed.
“We have a step-ladder out in the patio,” he supplied.
You puffed your cheeks up and continued on your mission. “Yes, but that’s extra work and it’s easier like this.”
Once again, you jumped, this time almost reaching the doorframe, but alas, falling a few inches flat. As you fell, so did a fake berry on the mistletoe. The two of you watched as it rolled off the stem.
“Is that so?” challenged Dan Heng.
There was a pause as another berry fell off at your movements. “Maybe.”
After a few more moments of watching you struggle, Dan Heng finally got up from his seat and extended his hand out. You looked at him curiously.
“Let me help,” he coffered, gingerly taking the mistletoe from between his fingers. It was made of plastic and covered in red and green glitter. The single plastic berry left looked like it was about to fall off at any minute if you had attempted to launch it onto the entryway even one more time.
Beside him, he heard a stifled laugh. “Touching it won’t poison you, you know?”
“Yes, but it certainly will cause glitter to stick to me for at least a week.”
“Can’t argue with that.”
He smiled.
You handed him a few pieces of tape as he stood on his tiptoes to place the mistletoe on the entryway.
“Do you think it’ll hold like this?” he asked.
“With enough tape, anything can be held together.”
Dan Heng wasn’t sure about your claim, but he nodded along nonetheless.
“Is this spot okay?”
“Perfect!” you clapped your hands and beamed up at him, a look of pure joy on your face as you stared fondly at the added decoration. As he took his hand away from the heavily taped plant, the remaining berry fell from the mistletoe and landed right in-between the two of you.
Your smile didn’t waver as you pretended not to see it.
“Super perfect!” you said as if you were trying to convince yourself.
He chuckled. Christmas might be a cash grab holiday with low-quality decorations being sold wherever you look, but he didn’t mind it so much when he got to see you like cheerful this.
“Thanks for your help, Dan Heng,” you said appreciatively, dusting the copious amounts of glitter off your fingers.
“You’re welcome.”
Your eyes darted around, zooming from the mistletoe on the ceiling then back to his face.
“Now, would you look at that,” you laughed sheepishly. “It seems we’re under a mistletoe. Does that mean we should…?”
“The mistletoe no longer has berries.”
You blinked. “Sorry?”
Dan Heng breathed a noise of amusement. “The origins of the ‘kissing-under-the-mistletoe’ story includes taking the berries off the bush. For each kiss, a berry gets picked. When they run out, so does the kiss magic.” He gestured up at your fully green mistletoe. “No berries left here, therefore, there will be no bad luck if we don’t kiss.”
He saw the look of dejection on your face far before you covered it up with a laugh.
“Oh. Right!” You huffed and whispered under your breath, “I knew I shouldn’t have gotten the one on sale.”
Dan Heng grinned as he realized the implication of your hidden words. “Holiday stories rise, we don’t need permission from a mistletoe to kiss.”
Your eyes widened and the sad look on your face turned into one of hope and amusement. “I guess you’re right, but it does take away some of the holiday magic. Still, I suppose if I were to kiss you for the first time, I’d rather it not be due to the threat of bad luck from a mistletoe.”
His cheeks warmed as he nodded in response. “I agree.”
You giggled as you leaned in to kiss him, planting a gentle but firm kiss on his lips. Dan Heng smiled, returning one to you as well. He cherished the sound of the soft, happy sigh escaping your mouth, hoping this wouldn't be the last time he was allowed to witness it.
Mistletoe may be bitter and poisonous, but Dan Heng could safely say this was the sweetest kiss he has ever had.

--------------------------------------------------------
Gojo had never once questioned his fate. He’s known since he was able to think for himself that he was the strongest. That he was the monster people could turn to to fight the other monsters. He never minded. Not much at least. He knew it was grossly unfair. Knew such a fate pressed on anyone else would have him up in arms but… no one was up in arms for him. No one stood between him and the monsters. No one could. That should’ve hurt him and if he was being completely transparent and honest… it used to. When he was a teen and wasn’t able to hide his emotions as well as he could now. He was a weapon to everyone in the jujutsu society. A weapon and a monster and a savior and the greatest that ever lived. He was revered by his fellow colleagues. Was cheered by his students. He was the greatest weapon to ever live.
But not to you. Not in the ways that mattered to most at least.
A measly second grade sorcerer with little to no battle experience. One that spends her time mostly in the background. Wasting away with Ino. Annoying Nanami. Steering clear of the greatest. When you first came around Gojo was sort of intrigued with you. You were quite pretty, smart and had a smile that made others smile. Gojo liked that about you. He’d do his usual routine… It usually worked. Usually… Gojo would annoy you, he’d try and charm you, he’d flex his powers in front of you and buy you sweets you didn’t ask for. Nothing worked.
When he flirted you’d make this face and although he liked the face you’d make he knew you weren’t impressed with him. It was like you saw right through his bravado. Saw right through the mask he wore, right down to the raw center of him. He knew you saw something sad. He tried to ignore it. Tried to misdirect your intuition but god you were persistent. You were smart. Smarter than anyone he’d ever known. And empathic as hell. It was frustrating. Not a single soul saw him the way you did. And it was all for nothing. You didn’t like him the way he’d come to hopelessly like you. And it wasn’t for lack of trying.
Gojo really tried to make you laugh but you never laughed when he wanted you to, never laughed when he made an effort to. You only laughed when he least expected it. Never when he was loud and boisterous but rather in quiet moments. Moments when he forgot to act like the greatest. Moments when he was Gojo Satoru and not the greatest. That’s how he knew you saw right through him.
There was an instance when you completely threw him into a crisis. It was after a particularly gruesome fight. After all was said and done people clapped him on the back, congratulating him on another easy win. Gojo approached you, hoping for that same kind of hollow congratulations but you didn’t give it to him. You asked him if he was alright. Gojo remembered just standing there, remembering the full ache in his chest, the way you looked up at him with concern. No one ever was concerned for him. He replied something jovial. “Of course, don’t you know who you’re talking to?” And he smiled. But you didn’t return that smile as though he reassured you, you smiled sympathetically and replied.
“Must've forgot.” And then you slipped away. Gojo watched you walk away. Watch Ino run up and grab you by the shoulders. Watched you laugh freely and shake your head at something he said before the two of you left.
A week later Gojo had conned Nanami into having some drinks with him. They sat beside each other, Gojo talking to fill up the dead space and Nanami chugging his third drink.
“Are Y/n and Takuma dating?” Gojo had slipped into the conversation. Nanami gave him a sideways look.
“I don’t know.” Nanami replied after a moment, it sounded more like ‘I don’t care’.
“You’re with them all the time.”
“They’re with me. They bug me.” Nanami sees straight as Gojo sighs.
“So they bug you. But do they do it together?”
“What a stupid question.” Nanami admonishes, shaking his head. “Why are you asking?”
“Just curious.”
“About Y/n?” Nanami asked and Gojo couldn’t help but look over at him. Nanami wasn’t much of a gossiper, he listened but that was the extent of it. Nanami softly chuckled at the older man’s response and shook his head once more. “No.”
“No, what?”
“They’re not together.”
That was all Gojo needed. He’d never felt threatened before but after seeing you and Takuma together the other day it made him wonder. Well, more than wonder if his lack of sleep the night before proved anything.
The next time Gojo saw you, you were having a quiet lunch in the courtyard. You had a book held lazily in your hand, the other popping grapes into your mouth. Gojo sighed, he’d tried talking to you many times before but his showboating kept you further than arms length. But if he didn’t have his ego to hide behind… What did he have?
“It’s creepy to watch girls eating from afar.” You called over your shoulder. Gojo startled at the sound of your voice, his heart thumping unsteadily in his chest. You turned and when your eyes met his knees almost buckled. He thought for a moment, after his cheeks flushed red, that you smiled. It was a small smile, the corner of your lips barely turning up before you turned back away from him and to your book. He’d talked up many girls. But none of them made him stumble like you did. Nevertheless, Gojo walked forwards to you.
“Thought you were out on a mission?” He asked as you flipped the page of your book, not meeting his eyes.
“Keeping tabs on me?” She asked lazily as Gojo felt his throat tighten. He cleared it and shook his head.
“Just something I was told.” He says and you scoot over, patting the spot beside you. Gojo stood there stuck for a moment. You usually couldn’t get away from him fast enough but here you were, inviting him to spend a moment with you. You looked up when he didn’t take your offer and cracked a brow up.
“Are you busy?” You asked. Gojo instantly shook his head, coming out of his little stuttered trance. He sat down beside you and reached for some of your grapes without asking. You didn’t say anything about it, just placed your bookmark in your book and sat it down on the blanket you’d spread out. “I wanted… to ask you something?” You said after a beat. Gojo’s eyes flicked to yours and up this close he noticed two things, your eyes had specks of gold in them and there was the lightest dusting of freckles across the top of your nose. He realized he was staring at you too long and recovered by grabbing more grapes.
“Hmm, what is it?” He asks as he pops a few in his mouth.
“Do you like sorcery?” The question hung in the air for a moment. Gojo was silent. He’d… never thought about if he liked it before. Never thought about whether these powers he possessed was something he truly wanted or if it was something he needed.
“Why- do you ask?” Gojo asks, his eyes fixed straight ahead rather than on you.
“Just curious.” You said softly. Gojo couldn’t help but look over at you now.
“Of course I like it. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t.” He answered and the words tasted sour in his mouth. And just like before you gave him that look, just a small squint of the eyes, your lips pursing barely. He could tell straight away that you heard his lie. You hummed as though intrigued and shifted your stare to be less piercing.
“What’s so great about it?” You asked as Gojo swallowed.
“I’m good at it. I’m the strongest.”
“Yes… everyone is aware you’re the strongest, Satoru.” You brushed off, slightly playfully. Gojo couldn’t get over you saying his name. Saying it that way, with the tiniest emotion in your voice, what he hoped was affection.
“Are you?” Gojo asked. You raised a brow, cocking your head just slightly.
“Am I what?”
“Aware that I’m the strongest.” He says as you blow out a laugh. A laugh, he made you laugh. He recorded it in his mind. He knew he’d probably not get another one of those in a while.
“You don’t let anyone forget it.”
“What do you mean?”
“You go out of your way to prove it. You kill curses that other sorcerers can easily take care of. You put yourself in harm's way over and over again just to get a slap on the back. Of course I know you’re the strongest.”
“I don’t do it for a slap on the back.” Gojo dismisses.
“Why do you do it?”
“Because I have to.”
“Because you have to?” You echo and Gojo nods his head. You stare at him for a moment, before responding. “Cause you’re the strongest.” You didn’t say it as though it was a good thing, you said it as though it was his burden. Something heavy that weighed on his shoulders. It hit him deep. You knew him too well. He felt overexposed at this moment.
“I don’t see anyone else riding my level.” He says, hoping he sounded level, hoping his voice wouldn’t betray him.
“No one’s doubting your skill, Satoru.”
“You seem as though you doubt it.”
“I doubt your intentions.”
“My intentions? What do you think I’m secretly going to let curses in to kill all of you?” He laughs sardonically, a little bitterly. Bitter that she saw him in a worse way than he originally thought. You laughed again, it was more of an exhale through the nose but it was another laugh. Two in one day.
“No. I don’t think that.”
“What do you think?” Gojo couldn’t help but sound the smallest bit desperate. This is the most you two have kept up a conversation and he didn’t want it to end. He wanted to talk to you all day, maybe all night, although that was entirely too much to ask for. It's not like he ever asked for anything for himself before. But he wanted this badly. A normal conversation with someone who seemingly didn’t hold him up on a pedestal.
“I told you already.” You said, reaching for your book. It was like an unspoken end to the conversation. But Gojo didn’t want it to end.
“Please, don’t,” He says suddenly and your hand pauses on the spine of your book. You looked over at him and Gojo knew he wasn’t fast enough to cover the desperation. You swallowed and fixed him with a look.
“I think you’re the strongest sorcerer to ever live.” You spoke as though any louder and someone would overhear you. Your voice soft and eyes piercing into his. His heart stuttered at your words. To know you did think of him. He glanced at your lips as they parted to speak another sentence. “But that’s all you think you are. Just the strongest weapon. Not a person with thoughts and feelings.” You say and Gojo can’t help but stare, can’t help but know he never tricked you, not one bit.
“That’s… dark.” He tried to laugh, and tried to lighten the mood. You gave him a smile, one that stuttered his heart.
“Sure is.” You affirmed. Your hand let go of your book as you reached in your cooler and grabbed two drinks out, offering him one. Slowly he took it. “Or maybe I’m wrong.” You say before taking a sip. “Maybe it’s not that deep.” Gojo takes a sip of his own drink and stays silent. Unsure of whether to bear his heart to you or keep quiet. The strongest would keep quiet. He’d bottle things up, after all being strong means you can take care of yourself. But Gojo found himself wanting to spill his darkest secrets to you. The cunning sorcerer that calls him out. The one he can’t look away from.
“Maybe.” He says finally and the moment is over. He feels hollow. Especially with the way you glance at him, as though somewhat disappointed that there wasn’t more to him but a smiling face and quick witted words. The age old question came back to him.
Are you strongest because you’re Satoru Gojo? Or are you Satoru Gojo because you are the strongest?
Was strength a part of his identity or was his entire being centered on strength? He certainly didn’t want it to be everything he was but that’s all most people saw when they looked at him. Gojo drank another drink and leaned back on his hands.
“Do you ever think of what you would be if you weren’t a sorcerer?” He asked suddenly. Your eyes cut over to him as you lowered your drink from your lips. It was clear you weren’t expecting that question but at the same time you knew exactly what to say.
“I’m a shit sorcerer.” You said self-deprecatingly. “So I think about it all the time.”
“You’re not so bad.” He says as you turn to look at him. There was a hint of a smirk on your lips.
“Liar.” You admonished jokingly, barely shaking your head. “I know my flaws.”
“What flaws?”
“Alright, sweet talker.”You laughed and Gojo could swear he saw a hint of red on your cheeks. You shook your head as though to keep yourself from laughing more. So this is what it was like? This is who Takuma got to sit and joke around with all day long? Gojo felt sickly jealous when that thought crossed his mind. That he’d wasted all this time trying to flirt with you when he could’ve just talked to you. Sure he still wanted more than what you’d probably give him but this slightest bit of attention could probably keep him afloat for months. You ran a hand through your hair and sighed. “You know… I haven’t told anyone this but… I’ve been thinking of quitting.” You said. Gojo couldn’t help but react. Quit? Is that something you could just do?
“And do what?”
“My parents own a coffee shop back in America, they wanted me to work there out of high school but… you know this seemed more exciting. Now the prospect of fixing someone's coffee seems more exciting than facing some horrific curses.” You explained as Gojo smiled softly, nodding his head along to your words. He thought about it. Thought about coming into work, you waved him over as you explained some gossip about the other workers. Him tying your apron on and kissing your cheek, you ruffling his hair and smiling up at him. Fixing coffee for a living. Would he be the greatest at that? “I think…” you started, snapping him out of his reverie. “I think I might do that.” Gojo’s brows shot up.
“Hmm?”
“Fix coffee. I was good at it in high school. And… I miss my family. I’ve lived too far for too long.” You said, a dreamy far off look in your eyes. Gojo can’t help but feel sort of lost. You leaving was something he never expected. People didn’t leave the Jujutsu world unless it was in a body bag. Gojo didn’t know there was another way.
“You’ve never told anybody else this?” Gojo asks as you look over at him, the ghost of a sweet smile on your lips.
“You’re… easier to talk to than I thought.” You said and Gojo raised his brows.
“What do you mean?” He asks softly.
“I just mean… easier to talk to than before. Before when you’d flirt with me incessantly.” You joke as Gojo reddens. He thought you hadn’t even noticed his attempts but not only did you notice but you avidly avoided him. Gojo bites hit to, cheeks blushing in embarrassment at this revelation.
“I’m… sorry.” He bleated, shaking his head. You laughed, biting your lip.
“I didn’t necessarily say I didn’t enjoy... some of it.” You said and when Gojo looked over at you, eyes hopeful Takuma called out across the lawn. You looked at the other man as he pointed to his watch and waved you over to hurry. “Oh shit. Sorry, Satoru. Gotta get going.” You said jumping up. Gojo followed, helping you gather your stuff up. When he handed you the blanket your hand brushed against his sending chills across his body. You gave him a kind smile and waved as you went to meet with Takuma. Gojo stared for a moment before his feet moved on their own.
“Wait… Y/n,” he called out as you slowed, turning. “If you leave… to go home. I’d like to visit… sometime.” He stumbled through his words, you made him feel like a teenager again.  You gave him a look, an amused look, eyes lighting up.
“Anytime, I’ll fix you my favorite.” You said and then you turned and met with Takuma.
Gojo thought about that day all week long. Your voice swimming through his mind. How pretty you looked when he made you laugh. He didn’t flirt, or crack jokes the entire time. He just talked to you. And you seemed to like that. You seemed to like the real him. Not the him he plays up for everyone else. He thought himself into a hole so he got out of bed and winded his way through the hallways towards the lounge, a nice cup of hot tea might help him settle down. When he pushed the door open there you were. Sat at a table, sipping from one of Nanami’s cups. Gojo couldn’t help but show surprise on his face at seeing you up this late. You looked up and when your eyes met Gojo’s words died on his lips.
“Can’t sleep?” You asked as Gojo cleared his throat, nodding his head. “Me neither.” You remarked with a gentle shrug of your shoulders. Gojo fixed himself a cup of tea and sat down across from you.
“Why can’t you sleep?” He asked. You sighed, running a hand through your hair.
“I got a flight in the morning. I’m sort of— uncomfortable with flying.” You said as Gojo couldn’t help but softly smile at you. It was endearing to him that you’d lose sleep over something like that. You gave him a look and barely smirked, shaking your head.
“Where you headed?” He asks. The smile on your lips slightly falters.
“You didn’t hear?” You ask as Gojo’s brows furrow. He shakes his head. “I did it. Like we talked about a week or so ago. I’m headed home.” You say and Gojo can’t help but let his lips fall open in surprise again. Thinking about it was one thing but doing it so soon had his stomach in knots. You stared at him, drinking in his minuscule reactions. “Today was my last day.” You added as though that would soothe the pain in his chest. He couldn’t look up any longer so he let his eyes fall on his steaming cup of tea.
“Oh.” Was all he said. Anything more would’ve been too revealing.
“I— meant to tell you but… you’re so busy all the time.” You said and Gojo looked up then. You didn’t owe him your apologies.
“It’s fine. You— we talked about it. I just didn’t think you’d want to leave so soon.”
“I’ve been itching to leave for months.” You said with a small turn of your lips. “This job isn’t for the weak and although I’m not entirely terrible I’m not exactly good either.” You laughed. Gojo shook his head, he disagreed with that both times you said it, but he didn’t voice it this time cause it seemed you understood. “It might be childish but I just miss home.” You sigh as Hojo shakes his head immediately.
“It’s not childish.” He says and finally your guys' eyes meet. You’d be gone in the morning for good and Gojo hadn’t so much as gotten to know you passed a few brief talks. He felt slighted. It was his fault of course but he couldn’t help the bitter feeling that left him wanting more.
“I… wish we could’ve talked like this sooner, we could’ve been friends.” You said and it was like the nastiest stake to the heart. He knew you didn’t mean it to hurt him because you didn’t know how he felt and he couldn’t only blame himself for that.
“I do too.” He said softly. You two couldn’t look away from one another. Something dangerous growing, some tension that kept you rooted in this moment. Gojo was the strongest but you never really saw him with anyone. Sure he’d occasionally have drinks with Nanami but for the most part he was alone. It felt stupid to feel anything now, with you leaving in the morning. And unbeknownst to Gojo you had something that formed over the few years you knew him. He intrigued you, he was so strong so sure of himself one moment but there was this look in his eyes. Like a scream for help. He was constantly sent on missions alone, he’d come back battered and bruised and smiling, a smile so fake to you but so real to the others that couldn’t see past it.
You tried once, pathetically, to ask him if he was alright and stupidly gave up when he kept that mask up. You just didn’t want to step over a line and push him further away. But the years you spent here you were unknowingly doing it anyways. Dodging his obvious attempts at flirting because you weren’t sure if they were sincere or not and you couldn’t stand the thought of getting hurt. But here you were, hours away from never seeing this man again. You lied about being afraid of flights, you flew many times. The reason you couldn’t sleep was because of the ‘what if?’. What if you had flirted back years ago? Would you be hurt and jaded towards him? Or wouldn’t you have cracked through something deeper? Would you two be together? Would you be here? Watching him being used by a society that doesn’t care for him or would you steal him away from all this? Take him home and have him fix coffee at your side. Would he be happy or would he be bored? Gojo’s eyes glanced at the clock on the stove.
“It’s getting late. You should try to sleep so you don’t miss your flight.” He said, drinking the last of his tea.
There was some sort of finality to that. You nodded your head, drinking the rest of yours as well. You stood up and walked to the sink, running water and washing your cup. When you turned the water off and dried your hands, Gojo approached. He sat his mug in the sink. He paused for a moment, as if contemplating something then spoke in an almost whisper.
“Fuck it.” Before you could begin to ask he turned, hands sliding over your cheeks and bent to press his lips gently against yours. You froze. The kiss was unexpected and stomach achingly tender. Gojo kissed you as though he loved you. With gentleness and persistence. He stepped closer, your body trapped between his own and the counter.
No, no, no… you thought.
Why kiss me when I’m leaving?
But there wasn’t a bone in you that didn’t want this and the revelation was anything but not obvious. You’d know with startling accuracy that you wanted this to happen. You just wished it would’ve happened sooner. You felt the kiss deepen. Gojo ducking his head ever so closer. One hand trailing down from your face, light fingers dancing down your shoulder, past your arm around your hip, fingers gripping and pulling you flush against him. You made a soft noise, your stomach bottoming out as Gojo’s mouth cracked yours open. His hand slid beneath your butt and with ease he picked you up with that one hand and sat you carefully on the counter. The hand on your cheek slid behind your head so you didn’t bump against the cabinets. You two stay like that for a while, feeling out the boundaries that were breaking by the second.
Gojo brushes a lock of hair behind your ear and trails kisses from your lips to your cheek to your jaw and neck. Your head falls back and to the side, your hands softly gripping the front of his shirt, something to keep you the least bit grounded in the moment. You needed to be grounded while Gojo was absolutely drunk on you. He couldn’t believe this was happening, all he knew was that he wouldn’t squander this moment. When you left he wanted you to remember him. You shiver at the sudden more feverish kisses and slide your cold hand beneath his shirt. Gojo doesn’t even jump, he makes a low sound in the back of his throat.
His grip on your hip tightening just slightly before sliding around your back, his warm fingers sliding under the hem of your shirt. You arched closer to him as he moved his lips back to yours, you met his lips with the same fevered kisses as him. You gently tugged Gojo’s shirt up and he moved away from your lips temporarily to let you tug his shirt over his head. His body was scared and lean, you traced a few of his scars with a light tip of the finger and when you looked back up at him he was looking at you with a curious expression. You cleared your throat.
“Do you want to do this now? Here?” You asked, gesturing to the dimly lit lounge.
“Do you?” He turned it back on you, his voice wrecked with wanting. You could see the answer clearly in his eyes, he didn’t care where you two were. He’d want you regardless. You thought about it. Was it meaningless to do it here? Would it be better to take him to your room? You were leaving for good in the morning, would it be a mistake to have a one night stand with the strongest? But the wording of one night stand seemed cruel, seemed so unlike what you two were actually doing. It felt deeper. And if it was deeper, were you going home tomorrow with a torn heart? Your hands were still on his stomach, still pressed near a scar. You did want this… but you couldn’t want it. That was the thing all along. Satoru Gojo was going to get himself killed one day. Sure he was the strongest but you could see him wearing down. The scars weren’t healing, he looked tired. Getting involved with him was insuring yourself of a broken heart. You sighed and shook your head.
“We… shouldn’t.” You said and you couldn’t look up at him. You didn’t want to see how he would react. If you did look up at him you’d see just how much two words could break Satoru Gojo. He couldn’t mask it anymore. He wanted so badly to mean more to you. He wanted to be bare in front of you and for you not to flinch away. But you were flinching away and he knew it. It made him sick. Gojo grabbed his shirt and pulled it back on. Your hands fell away from him as you slid off the counter top.
“Can… I ask why?” He said and you knew it wasn’t about sleeping together. It was the deeper sort of question.
“Cause you’d break my heart.” You answered simply. Gojo looks at you. Break your heart? He’d rather die than do that.
“What do you mean?” He asked, his voice soft, he wasn’t angry, just wanted to understand.
“You’re… Satoru Gojo,” you gestured. “You’re the strongest. The greatest sorcerer. You… don’t make time to be anything but that.” You say, eyes meeting his for the first time since your rejection. And then he understood your meaning.
“What if I did? What if I left it behind?”
“What if?” You asked back. “You’d need something more fulfilling to fill in the gap.” You supplied.
“I found something like that.” He says suddenly.
“Like what?”
“You.” For a moment you two stare at each other.
“I can’t… I don’t want to stay here.”
“I’m not asking you to stay. I— I’m asking you to let me come with you.” Your eyebrows shot up, eyes wide. You were shocked by his words. Spoken with such conviction.
“Satoru…” you said, unable to quite grasp this statement yet.
“I mean it. I… I could go with you. Work beside you… be with you… if you’ll have me.”
“You can’t be serious.”
“I am deadly serious, Y/n. I’m not willing to sit here and pretend like you don’t mean everything to me. You’ve consumed my every waking moment. You’re all I can think about, all I dream about. I— I fear if I stay behind and don’t take this chance… I might as well just end up dead.”
“Oh...” But his confession was breathtaking. Your heart was in your throat, beating and causing words to falter.
“I’ll be your friend if you want. I’ll be whatever you want me to be. Just,” he takes a step closer and you have a sick feeling he’s never wanted something for himself as much as he wanted you at this moment. “Take me with you.” Your throat went dry as you gazed up at him. The things you were afraid of, of him choosing to stay, of him fighting alone and fighting to his grave had vanished in an instant with his words. So he was willing to choose between you and sorcery. Not only willing but had made his choice long ago and just now felt confident enough to let you in on it. Not to mention he’d made this decision long before your two’s lips even touched, that was a whole other story to unfold. His feelings for you were much deeper than you previously thought. Those dreams of stealing him away from the people that used him had dropped, real and tangible, in your hands. Your mind swam.
“Don’t… you think you’d get bored?” You asked, but your head tilted and there was the ghost of a smile on your lips. All the tension that had been wrecking Gojo’s body soothed right at that moment. He couldn’t help but smile.
“No. I really don’t think I would.” He answers earnestly. That ghost of a smile turned into a full formed apparition of a smile as you laughed.
“We’ll see about that.” You said and you barely got the words out before he was kissing you again. No warning, all urgency. To feel you again. “Should we go back to my room?” You whispered as the kiss grew slightly more heated.
“Mhm hm.” Gojo hummed, picking you up with ease and tossing you over his shoulder. You gasped in surprise as he walked towards your room.
“You’re an idiot.” You laughed quietly.
“What? You’d think I’d let you walk all the way there?” He asks teasingly as you dissolve into quiet giggles.
“All the way there,” you mocked with a shake of the head. “Like I don’t do it everyday.”
“Not on my watch.” He says, rounding the corner to your room.
“What— what the hell?” You heard Nanami’s voice then and your face went bright red. Gojo didn’t sit you down, just tipped his head to the blond man and kept walking. You on the other hand covered your face and silently cursed Gojo out.
“You have a filthy mouth.” Gojo said as he rounded the final corner, your room steps away.
“Set me down you idiot.” You groaned. And he did but the moment your feet touched the floor his lips were back on yours, pressing you into your closed door. The kiss was needy. He must’ve been waiting a long time to kiss you in the first place. Those first two kisses were something but this one was different. It was like he’d rather kiss you than breathe as you fumbled with the lock and opened the door.
You two tumbled inside, Gojo catching the door in his hand and pushing it shut behind you two as you stumbled towards the bed.  Gojo couldn’t go another day without choking out what you meant to him, without showing you. He could feel it in his shoulders when he breathed, feel it in the uncomfortable twist and flip his heart would do around you. Could feel it swirling around in his sleepless nights. He was going to show it to you. Going to convey exactly what he felt.
He pressed his kisses harder, pushed you against the bed. Kissed any surface of your body his lips could find. Savored the noises you made. You spoke muffled against his neck, his name, the sound so sweet and utterly perfect on your lips. He never cared much for his name until he heard you speak it. He exhales sharply, his breath shuddering. He feels your deft fingers slide beneath his shirt again then to the waistband of his pants. You pause and when he speaks a shaky please you slip the pants down past his hips and he kicks the useless thing fully off. He does the same for you and suddenly you both are undressed. Equal, more or less. He kisses you a few more times to hide his nerves and just for a moment lets himself slip into the role of the strongest. He takes the lead, his hands parting your thighs as he trails kisses to your neck. He lines himself up, your hand just barely guiding him, there’s not much thoughts that go into his brain when he enters you. You both make a sound in the dark. Your hands sliding around him to his back, nails digging in there.
“Satoru…” You whimper and he has to will himself not to come right then and there. He goes slow at first, letting you get used to the size. Your bodies are pressed together, he’s practically crushing you beneath him but you wouldn’t have it any other way. One of your hands grabbed his chin, yanking his lips against yours as he picked up his pace. He swallowed your moans and vice versa. He ground his hips against yours, loving the hitch in your breath. He did it again and again until you couldn’t kiss him back anymore and he couldn’t keep his head up, it fell into the crook of your neck as you came together. you both pull back, exhausted and Gojo’s surprised when you start laughing. He stares at you open mouthed, never once after doing something like that with a girl had she started laughing after. “S-sorry,” you giggled, shaking your head. He smiles despite not knowing what you found so amusing. “That was… well I’m sure you know you’re good.” You blushed. “I just— it’s a bit unbelievable.”
“Hmm? What is?” Gojo asks as he pulls the cover up to shield you from the cold of your room.
“I was just… very wrong about you. For a long time. That’s all.” You said as you sat up, grabbing your night clothes and slipping them back on. Gojo does the same and expects that you’ll kick him out to sleep in his own room. “Hey,” you call out, patting the bed next to you. “Stay the night.” You say. You don’t have to tell him twice, he’s already practically back in your bed by the end of your sentence. You pull him close, laying your head against his chest as his arm winds around you. “I’m a clingy sleeper, just so you know.” You say and Gojo lets his eyes fall closed, a content smile on his lips as he kisses the top of your head.
“So am I.” He whispers back to you, slightly turning to pull you closer to him. He feels you hum a laugh. For the first time in years Gojo fell asleep with ease, he didn’t have to be haunted with visions of you because you were real and tangible against him. And he’d never felt more fulfilled, more excited to leave all this bullshit behind and not be the greatest for once.

Walmart Duster |Niko|
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
"Yes? Hello." You held your phone up to your head with your shoulder as you rummaged through your bag "Yes I got my costume. Yes give me five minutes I'm almost there. Bye." You put your phone down and continued searching for your lipgloss that had fallen to the bottom of your bag.
Suddenly your phone began buzzing again.
"Shit," you picked it up "Oh excuse me sir take a right there, it's quicker." You pointed to the driver. "Hello?" You answered "Yes I'm coming. Chunkz just called...I'm the Grinch, why?"
"We're almost here, miss."
"Yes perfect- No one told me who to dress up as...You know what we'll talk inside. I'm here." You turned off your phone and tossed it into your bag.
"Thank you, please pick me up at 8pm." You got out of the car and took your hanger with your costume out of the trunk.
As you turned to the familiar Beta Squad house you instantly recognized Chunkz and AJ at the front door waving.
You chuckle to yourself and made your way over to the two of them.
"Finally, she makes it." Chunkz sarcastically claps his hands glancing at AJ who's just genuinely happy you're here.
"Lemme help with that." AJ took the costume cover and went inside while you hugged Chunkz hello.
"Good ride?"
"Yeah, nothing special." You shrugged as he held the door open for you to enter.
You were met with a series of cheers from the Beta couch.
"Hey guys!" You laugh in excitement and wave to everyone, a little overwhelmed by all the emotions. Kenny and Sharky get up to come greet you, which rose the question: Where was Niko?
"Hey!" Everyone in the hallway heard an annoyed yell from somewhere inside the house.
Well, speak of the devil.
You heard a series of footsteps and as they turned the corner, a tall green thing stood before you.
Honestly you only recognized that it was Niko because of his height. Instantly you burst out laughing, not being able to contain yourself, stomach already in pain.
Everyone else joined you.
"What was that?" Niko pointed behind him from the direction he came from.
Everyone exchanged confused, but on the verge of laughing, glances. In the moment AJ walked in from Niko's side, and you understood what he was implying at.
"What is your costume?" He pointed at you with his abnormally long and funny finger.
You tried to contain yourself from just laughing in response to his question, given his green state, but you managed to squeeze out "The Grinch?"
"Nooo!" He dramatically threw his arms up and turned on the spot like the drama queen he was. "I'm The Grinch."
"Same."
"No. There can only be one grinch. You aren't even the grinch, i-it was just a green fuzzy dress or whatever."
You couldn't tell if he was joking or being for real, because that's how it was with Niko most of the time, so you just went along "Even with just a fuzzy dress I'll be The Grinch. You're just a Grinch." Now that wasn't true at all, Niko was definitely THE Grinch with his totally over the top green face and big bushy eyebrows, but you said it so confidently that it almost sounded convincing.
Before Niko could reply or come up with a witty comeback like 'your mama so fat' Chunkz interrupted "Right everyone," he clapped his hands "Twenty minutes to get ready and then we'll film the intro."
Niko scoffed and stomped away, extra dramatically, while everyone else went to change into their costumes.
You slipped into your fuzzy green dress, pulled on some red elbow gloves and a Santa hat.
It wasn't really Christmas yet, not even close, it was in two weeks, but you knew the boys always filmed guest videos in advance just because it was more practical.
The forfeit for this video was a plate of the most disgusting food combinations ever, each numbered from 1-10. You had to pull out a number and whatever it matched up with went in your mouth.
After everyone separately filmed their part for the intro, you all gathered in the Mafia room and that's exactly when you got to see Niko in his full costume.
You honestly didn't know wether to laugh or be impressed.
"You look like a duster." He mumbled meanly as he felt you eyeing him up and down.
"I think we should sit the two Grinches next to each other." Sharky stated.
"Nothing would more disgraceful than sitting next to a green duster from Walmart." The cameras were already rolling so it was hard to tell what was being said for real and what was being said for content, you just genuinely laughed at his joke and purposefully sat down next to him.
He side-eyed you as you beamed at him, annoying him even more.
"Niko really thought he was being original by dressing up as the Grinch." Chunkz said to the camera as he pointed at Niko with his thumb.
"Yes!" Niko squeaked in a high pitched voice "Everyone drop what you're doing and comment right now that she looks like a Walmart duster!"
You dropped your mouth open in offense as you tried to suppress a laugh.
"Yeah, to be fair you kinda do." Chunkz says adding his little giggle at the end making everything ten times as funny and sending laughs through the room.
"The disrespect," you tried to speak through your own chuckles.
"Anyway!" He cut off the laughter just as easily as he had started it "Let's pick the caaaards."
Everyone took a card and secretively looked.
MAFIA
You suppressed a small grin and put your card under the couch.
This was gonna be good.
"Everyone!" Chunkz shouted "Close. Your. Eyes."
The tension rose in the room.
"Mafia!" He announces dramatically "Open. Your. Eyes."
You slowly opened your eyes, and without moving your head looked around. Not Sharky, not AJ beside him. Chunkz or Kenny? You glance to your left, no. Both of their eyes were closed...Which left...Niko.
You slowly looked up seeing his eyes open and stuck onto you. You bit your lip trying not to break into laughter from how hilarious he looked with all the makeup and extra long brows, you sent him a little wave, careful not to make too much noise, he moved his mouth but you didn't get any of the words he was trying to pronounce. You rose a brow and shook your head, telling him that you didn't understand.
He turned to the camera and rolled his eyes, as if saying "she's so dumb" to which you responded with a middle finger to his face.
"Mafia! Close. Your. Eyes...Everyone wake up!"
Everyone's eyes shot open and the accusations began to flood in.
"Why are you smiling Kenny?"
"Why are you laughing?"
"Yep it's Chunkz I heard his snowman suit rustling."
"I think it's Niko." AJ says slyly.
You nod "Definitely. I heard his eyes open."
Everyone laughs at your comment.
"I think we need to eliminate her." Niko places a finger on your shoulder "She has committed a crime. The crime of dressing up as a green duster from Walmart."
Of course everyone starts laughing, including you, but for real this was starting to piss you off. After all you wanted to win this, preferably also getting your revenge at Niko.
First round AJ was voted out. Why? No one knows, maybe it was because he didn't take anything seriously and as per usual he barely had any of his gross food for forfeit.
"That's gonna be you next." You heard Niko's low voice in your ear as he pointed with his hairy Grinch finger to coughing and struggling AJ. You furrowed your eyebrows and turned around almost head butting him, catching him off guard at how close your face was to his.
"You're going down, Omilana." You said narrowing your eyes, sending vibes of those bullies in cartoon shows.
As the second round started, suspicions were being aimed at Niko because he was being very talkative, but you decided not to go at him straight away.
"Guys, guys. You can't vote me out and leave her here. It would disgrace the Grinch race!" He said into the camera raising his hairy eyebrows. And there he was defending himself with the duster jokes again.
"You even thinking you could pull that off is a disgrace."
"Sorry I don't speak duster." Niko turned to you.
"Why'd you need to fake big hairy eyebrows when you could've just painted over your own big hairy eyebrows?"
"Wooaahhh!" The room filled with laughs, impressed calls and wheezes as everyone watched you and Niko scrap about nothing.
"Aye you guys might as well lips now." Chunkz slipped in those words that changed which whole atmosphere. You and Niko stared at him in shock while everyone else burst into laughter. A small smile edged on your lips as you slowly looked over at Niko. His expression was priceless. Mouth open, eyebrows up and eyes as big as saucers. You giggled nudging him in the ribs.
"Don't talk to me, duster." Niko crossed his arms over his fake big belly and tried to move away from you.
"Even though you're taller than me, I feel like I'm looking down at you."
"VIO! VIO!" Sharky pointed at Niko, who's mouth was open again.
"Woooow," Chunkz's eyes were huge as he looked at you "Did you get that?" He turned to the camera and held his finger up "Gyal said even though I'm shorter than you, I feel like im looking down at you."
No one expected that, and you were genuinely proud of yourself. You shot Niko sneaky look and nudged him in the ribs again.
"Ow!" He yelled bending down this time reacting.
So far the game was looking good for you. Sharky had his suspicions on Chunkz and Niko.  Kenny had his suspicions on Niko and you, but that didn't matter because Chunkz had his suspicions on Niko and Sharky.
Honestly you could've probably won next round if you had sided with Niko somehow, maybe if you thought a little about how to point fingers at Kenny because of how bad he was at Mafia. But no. Your plan was to win and alongside that see Niko coughing up some cow tongue or pickled eggs.
"Everyone tell me what is your card right now." You proclaimed enthusiastically, previously mentioning that you had a special trick.
"8 of hearts." Sharky replied without even thinking.
"6 of clubs?" Kenny asked more than said.
"9 of diamonds." Chunkz answered and looked at Niko who was supposed to respond next.
"7 of spades." Niko made up his card "Wait are we even allowed to do that?"
And this is where your plan stepped in.
"7 of spades?" You ask him, doing your best to act surprised, Sharky and Chunkz observed your reaction, taking it in as a genuine one.
"Yes." Niko laughed in slight confusion, sure that you'd back him as his partner in crime.
"Why what's yours?" Sharky quizzed leaning in.
"I have seven of spades." Your tone was low, like in those movies when the detective finally figures out who the murderer was.
Being totally clueless everyone breaks into gasps, naively believing you.
"Wait wait wait," Niko continued laughing nervously "She could be lying." But coming from his mouth it sounded not so convincing.
"I know it's you." You pointed at his chest, riling him up for real as he let out an offended scoff "This just proves it."
"I mean she could be lying. They were messing since the beginning of the game." Sharky pointed out.
"Was it messing or flirting?" Chunkz joked and you raised your eyebrows. You were about to end those jokes.
"If I was Mafia I would've sided with him."
"Would you now?" Niko said chuckling dryly at the irony, but no one payed attention to him.
"Mafias aren't allowed to go against each other right?"
"Wooaahh, did everyone get that?" Chunkz pointed at you. You cringed inside realizing that the phrasing was poor and now the situation looked bad for you.
"What? I'm just asking." You said innocently.
"You realize that if it's not Niko we're all gonna think it's you?" Sharky said.
"It's not me though. Listen guys I just wanna win this."
"Yeah win as the Mafia by getting an innocent civilian out!" Niko threw his arms up.
"I'm willing to bet that it's definitely Niko." Kenny said which was the starting point of voting.
"Same."
"No no no guys," Niko leaned onto the back of the couch in defeat. He saw your eyes sparkle with passion for the game and obvious revenge.
After the voting Niko was obviously out and the five of you headed to the table of gross food.
While you walked there you had managed to poke Niko three times without anyone noticing which absolutely sent him. He was so pissed he thought he was going to burst.
You secretly winked at the camera before turning to the table where Niko sat, nervously eyeing the laid out disgusting food, if you could even call it that.
"You guys are making a big mistake, it's her! It's the duster!" But it was too late for jokes now, he was already sat at the table, ready to pick out a number.
"Shush you." You held out the hat with the numbered pieces of paper. "The best Grinch wins." You grin from ear to ear as he picks up a folded piece of paper, glaring up at you.
"5." Niko reads and everyone starts searching for dish number 5 on the table.
"That's brains." AJ says.
"You shush you're already out you pussy." Niko points at AJ who was peaking from the other side of the table.
"Shit it is brains." You look at the plate that looked vile. A grey splat of goo with little wavy lines on it. As Niko takes the plate and puts it in front of him everyone "ew's".
"Maybe it's not so bad." He takes the knife and fork.
"No that is bad." Kenny laughs from behind him. Niko cautiously begins cutting a piece of the brain and as he slices, a splash of liquid shoots outs to the side, making you gag and cough.
"That is disgu-" you gag again covering your mouth.
"Now now don't do that!" Niko yells out without taking his eyes off the brain. "If someone throws up I'm throwing up right after them."
"Yeah, if you guys didn't know that's actually for real. Like Niko can eat the most disgusting foods but if someone gags he's done." Chunkz says to the camera and then proceeds to titter making everyone else laugh.
"Alright it's time for you to eat that Mister Nikolas Omilana." Chunkz announced.
"Wait let me ju-"
"Nah nah stop the waffling." AJ laughs.
"Shut up you rat. You're out."
"Eat it Niko!" You shouted standing a meter away from the table so you didn't have to see the brains that clearly.
Hesitantly, Niko lifted up the fork that had a grey slimy piece on it. Everyone paused as he took a bite. He chewed three times before almost spitting it out.
The room filled with laughs and "ooh's" as Niko really struggled to chew. Despite being seconds away from throwing up yourself you wanted Niko to really suffer.
"Accept your defeat by a duster." You whispered theatrically while squeezing his shoulders. He screwed his eyes shut and shook his head, hastily getting up and running over to the kitchen sink spitting everything out and coughing.
"Please, water." Niko winced at the disgusting aftertaste, but neither you nor the boys went over to help. Everyone was too busy laughing and talking while George filmed Niko suffering in the kitchen.
"That's what you get for calling me a duster." You turned to the other camera and smiled.
"Reveal your caaaard!" Chunkz shouted, and Niko pulled out his king of spades while still coughing over the sink.
Everyone cheered and you and Sharky held hands while jumping in a circle and chanting "Niko's a schmuck! Niko's a schmuck!"
Fast forward to the intense moment of you, Chunkz and Sharky deciding who the last mafia was. Getting Kenny out was easy because he was making zero sense in his arguments.
Just like earlier in the game, Sharky still had his suspicions on Chunkz and before Chunkz could say anything you brought up the fact that when everyone voted for AJ he voted for you, giving you some sort of reason to vote for him.
By now obviously Chunkz had a hunch that it was you, but Sharky wouldn't believe him anyway since he was fully convinced that Chunkz was the imposter. And after the final voting it was Chunkz's turn.
"Pickled eggs isn't even that bad!" Niko exclaimed.
"Shut it." Chunkz spat "Idiot." He took the fork and poked the jiggly egg.
"Hurry up." Sharky said impatiently, bouncing on the spot. But it was over for him. You had won already, just how you wanted.
"Eeewww," Chunkz managed to say as he swallowed a piece of the egg. "See that's how real men do it you pussio." Chunkz looked at Niko, stating the fact that he had managed to eat without spitting all over the sink.
"I had BRAINS!" Niko squeaked in defense.
"What's your card!?" Sharky shouted over the top of them.
Chunkz rummaged through his suit and pulled out the card from god knows where and slammed it onto the table right in front of Sharky.
"You idiot!" Chunkz sneered as Sharky let out a wail.
"Nooo!" He whined "Wait what? It was you?!"
"WE WOOONNN!" You shouted jumping up and down around Niko who was clearly pissed.
"I do not associate myself with her." Niko said into the lens as you continued celebrating.
"Gyal got brains." Chunkz laughed into Nikos face "She got you and we all believed her. You disgrace." Chunkz flicked his wrist.
"Cmon smile, we won!" You grinned sitting down next to Niko on a chair in a red lit room. You were filming the comments now and you had to talk about the victory.
"I don't even want to talk to her." Niko says into the camera pointing at you.
"There are two Mafias. We were supposed to work together." Niko articulated.
"Well maybe you should've stopped violating me every two seconds." You pointed out.
"Someone please evacuate her out of this building." Niko put his hairy gloved hand over your face.
"Niko!" You moved his hand away and spat out little pieces of green hair. The two of you shared a laugh before continuing to film.
After the civilians filmed their part under green lighting, the shooting for the day was finally over.
"Hey how about we order some pizza?" AJ suggested "Will you be staying longer?" He asked you. You glanced at the time, it was 6:27pm.
"Yeah, I've got time till 8:00." You said taking off your Santa hat and running your hand through your hair.
"Sweet."
"Yeah Sharky's gonna order because he's the dumbest idiot I've ever met." Chunkz says.
"Wha-I was sure it wasn't her!"
"Yeah yeah whatever."
"Alright who wants what?"
After figuring out the order everyone went to change back into their normal clothes.
You pulled Niko aside and made him take photos with you, Grinch with Grinch, that type of thing. He looked hilarious. You tried to pose in a cute way in the mirror, more or less, but Niko just stood there like a statue and pierced you with his gaze through the mirror.
"Relax," you laughed snapping a photo as you stood on your tiptoes to not seem so short.
"Get down," he pushed your shoulder "Stay short."
You rolled your eyes and after a few more photos, this time on his phone, you both went to change...well Niko had to scrub his face off to get that green paint of his face.
The rest of the evening was calm, you all chatted and ate, while a boring movie played in the background. You talked about mafia, work and future projects that might be coming up.
Today was pleasant, filming with the boys was always fun, you just wished you could do it more.
"Thank you for having me guys." You were enveloped by a big group hug.
"Thank you for coming." Chunkz said.
"Yeah today was fun." Sharky agreed.
"I'll see you guys, hopefully soon." You let go of them and picked up your bag.
"Niko will help you with this, right?" Kenny grinned at his friend as he held up the hanger with the costume cover, which had the "duster dress" inside it. Niko rolled his eyes and took the costume "Yeah." He said not so enthusiastically and followed you.
"Bye guys!" You waved the final time as you and Niko walked over to your driver's car.
As the two of you walked you shared some enjoyable silence with mutual smiles on your faces. He helped you put the costume in the backseat and as you were about to get into the car he finally decided to speak up "Hey I was wondering." He began with a slight smile on his face "Could I like, maybe, get your number?"
You were surprised, but overjoyed at the fact that he asked, not being able to hold in the beaming grin that shone on your face.
"I need to track you down and burn that dress."
You chuckled and nodded answering with a simple “yeah” to not seem too excited.
You decided to ignore the fact that he could've just texted you on Instagram and asked there, but maybe this was his way of showing his interest in you.
"On one condition though," you paused before typing your number into his contacts.
He raised his eyebrows and waited for you to continue.
"You don't name me Duster in your chats."
He nodded "Oh yeah yeah, of course not."
"Uhuh?"
He shook his head "Nah it's a dead joke."
You weren't convinced at all, but still put your number in his phone and handed it to him.
He smiled in response.
"You have a very weird way of getting girls. Violate them and then ask for their number."
He shrugged "Part of the rizz you know?"
You laugh at his comment and pull him into a hug "Bye Omilana."
"Peace to all." He tapped your shoulder.
You roll your eyes and get into the car and, as your driver greeted you and double checked that you were going home, Niko kept waving.
You waved in response before you turned the corner, and almost instantly your phone buzzed. You opened your messages only to be met with this:

You arrive at the mini golf course with your family, your husband Chunkz carrying your 5-year-old daughter on his shoulders while you hold your son’s hand, both of you excitedly looking at the colorful course ahead.
Chunkz sets your daughter down and helps her choose a putter from the rack before handing everyone their clubs.
“Alright, who’s ready for some mini golf fun?” he asks with a grin, making your kids giggle.
“We are!” you say, speaking for everyone as the kids giggle.
Chunkz smiles wider and high-fives the kids, leading the way to the starting hole. Your daughter excitedly swings her putter back and forth while your son admires the brightly colored obstacles.
You bend down to whisper in your daughter’s ear.
“Amara, who do you think is gonna win?”
Amara ponders for a moment, then whispers back with determination, “Daddy!” she exclaims confidently.
“Oh really! You don’t think your mommy will win?” you tease.
Amara playfully shakes her head, her ponytail bouncing with the motion. “No way! Daddy always wins,” she says matter-of-factly.
You laugh with your daughter and lead her over to Chunkz and your son, Amir.
“So, is Daddy going first?”
Chunkz nods, taking a few practice swings with the putter. “Yep, I’ll go first and show you all how it’s done.” He smiles confidently and steps forward to the tee, placing his ball on the starting mark.
Chunkz focuses for a moment, takes a breath, and strikes the ball. It rolls smoothly forward, approaching the hole and… just misses by a hair. He grunts in disappointment, tapping the ball a few times with his putter.
“Okay, guys, clap for Daddy! He did really well—so close to a hole-in-one!”
Amara and Amir applaud enthusiastically, cheering for their dad. “Wow, that was so close!” Amara exclaims, clapping her small hands together.
“Okay, who’s going next?”
Your son, Amir, eagerly raises his hand and excitedly shouts, “Me, me, me! I wanna go next!”
“Okay, Daddy will help you set up how to hit the ball since he’s such a pro,” you chuckle.
Chunkz playfully rolls his eyes but smiles, glad to help his son. He positions Amir’s hands on the putter, offering guidance on where to aim and how to follow through with his swing.
Amir listens attentively, soaking in his father’s words, and then takes a few practice swings. With a determined expression, he lines up his shot and takes a swing, sending the ball rolling forward.
The ball doesn’t go straight into the hole, but it comes closer than any of you expected.
Amir’s eyes widen with excitement. “I almost made it!” he exclaims, grinning proudly.
“Good job, baby!” you say, clapping.
Chunkz ruffles Amir’s hair, chuckling. “See, there’s a future mini-golf champ right there.”
“Okay, Amara, is it your turn now?”
Amara nods excitedly and pushes her way through, eager to play her turn.
“I’m doing it! I’m doing it!” she exclaims, hopping up and down.
You help Amara place her ball on the starting mark, and she eyes the hole with determination.
“Watch this!” she boasts before taking a swing with her putter.
Amara’s swing is surprisingly strong for her small size, and the ball rolls forward, but it veers off to the right, landing in a patch of sand just beside the hole.
“Oops!” she giggles, not at all fussed by the miss.
“Maybe you should have waited for Daddy’s help, right?” you chuckle.
Amara pouts, realizing the truth in your words. “Yeah, maybe… but I still did good, right?” she asks, looking for reassurance.
“Yes, honey, very good.”
Amara beams with pride, pleased with your compliment. Chunkz moves closer and playfully pokes her nose.
“You know, it’s okay to ask for help sometimes,” he says, offering a wink.
“I know that!” Amara protests, pretending to be annoyed, though a smile tugs at the corners of her lips.
“Okay, watch out, it’s Mommy’s turn!”
Amara and Amir step back to give you some space while Chunkz watches with a smirk, eager to see your shot.
With a firm grip and a confident stance, you strike the ball with a smooth, controlled swing. The ball rolls smoothly across the green, approaching the hole with purpose… and then drops in, disappearing into the darkness of the hole.
“Oh my gosh!” you exclaim.
Amara and Amir erupt in a mixture of surprise and celebration, clapping and cheering for you.
“You did it, Mom!” they scream in unison, jumping up and down in excitement.
Chunkz saunters toward you, a look of playful dismay on his face, but he can’t hide the twinkle of pride in his eyes.
“Well, well, look who’s the new mini-golf champ?”
“I’ve always been, just the pro that flies under the radar.”
Chunkz pretends to be hurt, gasping and placing a hand over his heart. “I’m wounded, truly wounded. I thought I had the title for life!” He grins and wraps an arm around you, squeezing you playfully.
“You’re my favorite mini-golf pro, it’s okay,” you tease.
Chunkz pretends to wipe away a tear but then grins, pulling you closer. “Well, I can’t argue with that. I’ll gladly take the title of ‘Y/N’s favorite mini-golf pro.’ It’s got a nice ring to it.”
Amir speaks up, “Mommy, I thought I was your favorite mini-golfer!”
Amara bursts in, “No, I am!”
You laugh at the adorable display of sibling rivalry. “Hey, hey, calm down. You’re both my favorite mini-golfers! You each have your own special strengths on the course.”
“Come on, guys, let’s finish up the courses and see who wins!”
Amara and Amir quickly forget their disagreement and eagerly return to the course.
They resume their mini-golf match with renewed enthusiasm, taking their shots and cheering for one another.
As the final score is tallied, it’s revealed that Amara and Amir have tied for the lead. You and Chunkz exchange a knowing look but opt not to reveal the truth, letting the kids bask in their victory.
Amara and Amir are ecstatic, leaping into the air with excitement.
“We did it! We tied! We’re the champs!” they declare in unison, pumping their fists in celebration.
“My little golf pros,” you say.
You envelop your kids in a big hug, their tiny arms wrapping around you, their little faces beaming with pride. Chunkz joins in the group hug, chuckling.
“You sure are,” he confirms, patting them on the head. “It was a tough match, but you both played great.”
Amara and Amir bask in the praise, their chests puffed out and wide grins on their faces.
“We’re the best mini-golfers ever!” Amara proclaims, earning a hearty laugh from Chunkz.
As the family steps back from the hugs and high-fives, a feeling of happiness and accomplishment fills the air. You look at your kids, still radiating with excitement, and then over to Chunkz, who has a warm and proud smile on his face.
“Alright, mini champs,” Chunkz says, placing a hand on each kid’s shoulder. “What do you say we grab some ice cream to celebrate? Our treat.”
Amara and Amir’s eyes light up with joy. “Ice cream! Ice cream! Ice cream!” they chant in unison, dancing around in circles. You can’t help but laugh, sharing in their excitement for the sweet reward that awaits.
Chunkz chuckles, amused by their enthusiasm.
“Alright, alright, let’s go get some ice cream before you two bounce off the walls anymore!”
He leads the way to the nearby ice cream shop, your kids skipping beside him, still high on their mini-golf victory.

Douma makes your birthday a little easier.

I feel the urge to throw in an extra warning here and say that none of the following is inherently lucrative. I think I'm going through a depressive episode, and this was written before I realized. Please keep that in mind going forward. We can have a discussion about the ethics of this at a later date.
You kept your head tucked down as they sang. A ploy smile wide and rife with forced giggles. Never, did the world feel less real than in that moment. There was always someone out of tune, always someone who would sigh on your behalf. Always someone with a hand placed firmly on your shoulder to show how much they cared.
Always someone who stood next to you, who the group considered your most favourite person. You were pretty sure that's what he was supposed to be.
Nobody sounds genuine when they sing happy birthday, you fought with yourself to reason away the feeling inside of you. The person beside you. It's always awkward, right?
If you'd seen yourself hanging up the decorations, icing the red velvet cake, and worrying about everyone's dietary needs, you probably would've found it cute. Admirable, even, the level of dedication to the bit of it all. To the classics of a 'birthday party'.
Mitsuri had found it cute, after all. As did Shinobu.
Nobody cares if you're cute, act grown.
The taunts from a meaner part of you, a more vapid part, were beginning to call your smile into question. Not to any of your friends, though. Only him.
You didn't want to cry about fucking happy birthday, but he was right next to you, and every step of the way, every chance he got, he'd made all of those cute things feel very immature. Not even your barely there outfit, the one you wore to feel better about yourself, had felt all there.
'It's not weird to be twenty, I don't get why you're so stressed.'
Twenty. The number repeated in your head. Not old enough to drink. Not young enough to fuck. An insecure thought, but he was next to you. And every waning word of happy birthday felt like points off your scale. Points off from whatever else you meant to him.
Fuck. me. You thought, blowing out the candles as the choir finished. They all cheered and clapped. Kyojuro had lifted his hand from your shoulder, and Mitsuri had begun to apologize for how out of sync she was. Akaza looked as annoyed as he did when the song had started.
You turned to your right and looked up at Giyu. He smiled down at you and then averted his eyes. You turned back to your friends with no less convincing a smile.
Fuck. Me. You pleaded.
"I hate it no less every time." You joked, like this wasn't the first time people had done this for you since you were seven. They all laughed like you were normal. Laughed like having everyone near and dear to you in that same room didn't terrify you.
"I want the first slice!" Mitsuri rushed out, pressing her hands to her chest.
"No way, The birthday girl always gets the first slice!" Kyojuro argued.
"Since when? What kind of tradition is that?!" Mitsuri sputtered. Tengen shook his head from beside her.
"My family always served the birthday person last... but I think since you prepared this yourself, different traditions are in order!" Tengen reasoned.
"I agree." Gyokko piped up, dropping his lipstick back into his bag. It was probably his fifth reapplication of the hour. "Besides, enough arguing, I want to get to the gifts! You're going to like mine the best!"
"Tough talk. I'm going to blow you out of the water, fish boy." Sanemi hissed. Gyokko's jaw dropped in mock shock, very clearly unafraid of the taunt. You wished you had such confidence in your skill.
Did I even make a wish? You laughed a little at the realization.
"Y/N, do you want to cut the cake?" Giyuu asked, his voice forcing you back to the moment. You nodded at him, suddenly considering the weight of how embarassing it was going to be to cut the cake evenly between so many people-
How embarassing it was going to be to do it infront of Giyu, and how awful his eyes would feel judging your ability to fraction.
In the end it worked fine, though Akaza and Rengoku argued over who had the larger piece. You'd made a rather large cake to begin with. Enough for the smallest bit to go to waste if need be-
They left you a spot next to Giyu on the couch, again. It was thoughtful, you reminded yourself. They wanted you to sit next to your boyfriend, because who wouldn't on such an occasion?
Mitsuri and Obanai tossed you knowing glances as you sat in silence beside him. You were grateful you had so many friends. Sometimes, they didn't notice when you were quiet. Or when you spoke.
They never did with Giyu, either.
Gyokko's gift had been your favourite. A hand made mug, without a fish on it. How thoughtful. Mitsuri's handmade sweater was better, but you knew Gyokko's ego couldn't handle such a blow.
Giyu's was your real favourite. Not intentionally. You'd really hoped it wouldn't have been, but it had been a long time since you'd stopped trying to reason with how the man made you feel.
He wasn't your boyfriend, anymore. He hadn't been for a while, now, even if nobody knew. So maybe it stung worse when his gift was so lack luster. Maybe it felt like penance- you didn't quite know, but you were really happy it was so... thoughtless.
Even if he thought it wasn't. Maybe he did. You didn't know anything about him anymore. Even if he was going to be staying his third night on your living room couch instead of in your bed-
Even if he'd spent the last year of your life making you a worse version of yourself to fit his whims. Unintentional or not, you didn't recognize the hands that pulled the wrapping paper off the thousand piece puzzle.
You broke up with him, you reminded yourself, stop wallowing. It's unbecoming for a woman your age.
You couldn't think about how he treated you while others were over. You'd snap on the spot. Either burst into tears or burst at the seams, and you weren't interested in finding out the difference.
When Muzan and Douma arrived, a (shared) gift of yet another cardigan in tow, all you joked about was how they were an hour late, and it was probably because they were fucking. Though Muzan assured you all it wasn't, Douma couldn't help but maintain the gag for the remainder of the night.
Giyu found it funny, you noted. Like he should. You laughed, like you should, and Mitsuri and Obanai would toss you another glance, you'd thank everyone else for their cardigans, and for being blind, like they should.
Giyu been so mean the whole time. Not even mean like boys like Muzan were normally mean. Not mean like boys like Tengen-
"Y/N, are you alright?" The question had been deafening. You turned to look, knowing the voice you hoped it was hadn't been the asker.
It was Douma. He'd taken Giyu's place beside you.
You didn't know him, but you knew off him. One of Muzan's many friends with unfortunate traits. One of the ones you never really grew to get a long with no matter how many times you sat next to him in the dining hall.
Striking eyes pondered yours, something just shy of sincerity hanging from his long lashes. His blonde hair was pulled back into a stump at the base of his neck. His hoodie dangled off his shoulder. You wondered how he wasn't sweating- because you suddenly were.
"Oh, Douma- yeah- I'm-"
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Even with your convictions, your word to Giyu that things were going to be normal, your assurances to Mitsuri that you wouldn't need her to rescue you if things got rough, you swore it... It all wasn't quite enough.
It was just a tear. Your voice hadn't even broken, your lip hadn't wobbled. You didn't even feel the trademark dryness in your throat.
It just spilled. Right down your cheek and onto your bare thigh.
Your hand rushed to wipe it away, laughing a little too loud to over compensate.
"I'm doing good! What's up?" You rushed. Douma blinked at you, concern on his face, though you and your friends doubted Douma could feel such a thing. Sometimes you all doubted the man could feel anything. He wasn't the type you needed to share your feelings with.
Something in your gut twitched at the beauty of his eyes.
"Hey, Gyutaro?" Douma peeked around you, interrupting the other man's conversation with Tengen. "Give me the keys to your van."
"What for?" Gyutaro grimaced.
"Little smoke break with the birthday girl." Douma whispered, pointing to you.
"A smoke break?" Tengen whispered back, puckering his lips in question.
"Listen, I'd love to have you down there big guy, but if they see all three of us leave with her, Kyojuro and Shinobu are so going to get suspicious." Douma reasoned, eyes darting to the two RA's you kept as friends. Sanemi had begged you to bring even a little bottle. The sober bastard looked miserable between the two, even with his mouth full of cake. "Not to call both of you potheads, but-"
"Jesus Christ, I get it." Gyutaro huffed back, scrambling for his keys. "Talk louder next time, asshole."
"Thank you, thank you." Douma plucked the keys from his hands and stood. He beckoned you toward the door.
You took a look around, some what unwilling. This was your party, after all. How crude to ditch it in favor of smoking with a man you didn't want to know-
The click of the bathroom door drove you to your feet.
Shinobu's eyes caught on you both going to the door, but she said nothing. Verbally, nothing. The look of alarm on her face spoke volumes and wrote letters the likes of which film couldn't process, and words couldn't describe.
Douma wasn't a good guy. Most friend groups had a guy that just... wasn't right. You only invited Douma to things because he came with somebody. You'd never individually reached out him.
You knew Douma wasn't good though. Explicitly. You'd been told from more than one woman who'd seen you sitting near him that he had a habit of making girls cry, and reveling in the sight.
You weren't sure if such an idea appealed to you by nature, or only in the wake of whoever you were without Giyu. You pitied a healthier you that would regret your attraction, and potential action, to Douma. A future you that would beg current you to reconsider her decisions.
You pitied a past you that waited for Giyu, too. Atleast Douma was attracted to you, or to your tear. No man of Douma's breed showed this level of concern without wanting something in return. The douchie-ness of it all was comforting, in a way.
You could deal with Douma. You could deal with objectification and off handed comments. You could deal with him trying to woo you, thinking you're not intentionally falling for some stupid game that he's so big and bright for playing.
You'd played with Doumas before. You'd never gotten around to fucking one- Giyu was something of an act of self preservation from Douma and his ilk.
You hadn't expected Giyu to send you back into their arms full force. The way your body was reeled in response to the man's willingness was disgusting.
"Douma, I'm fine, really. I don't need anyth-"
"Oh shush." Douma interrupted as he opened the door for you.
Chivalry. How classic.
You intentionally lowered the appearance of your motor skills. Suddenly feeling the urge to appear dumb and helpless. The sick look on Douma's face as you situated yourself in the passengers seat meant that you succeeded.
You could feel your eyes glossing over. The kicks of such a stupid game were returning.
Douma at the drivers seat was all too appealing. His had the laissez-faire stance he was supposed to, broad hand flat on the back of your headrest as he pulled out of the parking lot.
Giyu couldn't even drive.
"You know, Y/N, you looked miserable in there." Douma laughed as you all pulled onto the main road.
"I wasn't miserable. I was very... forget it. I wasn't miserable. You don't need to know why." You rushed, forgetting Douma didn't care on an instinctive level. You had to play a careful game to ensure optimal recovery, while achieving optimal self harm. "Do you want me to smoke with you? Where are we going?"
"Ah. You ask a lot of questions." He laughed, hearty and flustered. "No, we're not gonna smoke. I'm going to buy you like... a milkshake or something. So miserable to not eat your own birthday cake." You flinched.
"E-excuse me?"
"I found a rather generous slice in the bathroom trash, buried under a bunch of toilet paper. Figured it belonged to the birthday girl when you were the only one without a plate."
"Why were you going through my trash?" You hissed, thrown off.
"That's not important." Douma waved off, the chain bracelet on his arm shaking to add an unnecessary sound effect. "What is important is that you're a little puker."
"Oh fucking blow me." You wretched at the name. "Aren't you literally another claim away from getting kicked off campus?"
"Aren't you in a car with me right now? All alone?" He returned. It sickened you that he knew his reputation and laughed about such a thing. It should sicken you.
"Yeah. Congrats. You're my get away scheme. I'm not bulimic, fucking prick."
"I'm sure you're not. You are looking... thinner, though. Problems? Feeling the need to control uncontrollable things?"
He spoke like he knew. Most men did, and you weren't going to let such a read positively impact your opinion of Douma's intelligence. Especially not when it was incredibly invasive and said with no tact.
"I dumped Giyu. Did you want to hear that? Does that make you happy? I was miserable. Does knowing I was miserable get you off?"
"No, ha. That's tragic. After hearing about your many... Interests from Gyokko, I was a bit relieved you ended up with someone so... vanilla. Girls like you rarely live to... Thirty?"
"You could've given me a heads up." You snapped.
"Ah. Good boy, not a good fuck?" You went silent. Douma whistled, which turned into a pained hiss. "Oh, that on the head?"
"We didn't fuck." You mumbled.
"Excuse me?"
"We didn't fuck! We didn't fuck! We never fucked!" You screeched, whipping around to the man, Douma remained focused on the road. "Are you happy? Can you hear?!"
"Oh I'm heart broken, Y/N!" Douma raised his voice in turn, not losing his smile.
"God, I can't even- fuck off!"
"Want to tell me about it?" He sang, pulling into a Dairy Queen drive through.
Douma got some chocolate monstrosity. You got a dipped vanilla cone. You felt like sobbing as he handed it to you, but you didn't want to waste such a trump card.
His hand had intentionally grazed yours.
You imagined Giyu back at your dorm. Fretting when Shinobu takes him aside to tell him where you are, to press that he should be concerned because Douma's a freak. You couldn't help but scoff at the conceited fantasy.
Giyu wouldn't be worried. He wouldn't even blink about it.
That's her problem. Like it'd always been.
"I don't even think he ever liked me." You laughed after spilling the entirety of the last year of your life onto the man. The vanilla had melted over your fist. You found more malice toward yourself for being unable to eat something so good. "And I let myself get fucked over. I should've known, ya know. With my track record, there's no way I'd pick somebody who'd treat me well."
"Hmm." Douma hummed, pulling his spoon from between his lips. You prayed he'd have the decency to give you head. Unlikely, you bet. "You're being too hard on yourself. And on that poor cone." The thing had cracked in your grip.
"I'm not going to eat this."
"How wasteful. I spent at least 3 dollars on that." Douma didn't take receipts, or listen when his total was read, you could tell by the the watch on his wrist. "You know, your cake was really good too-"
"Stop being a dick." You rushed. "I don't know where you get off on seeing women suffering, but knock it off about the food." You rolled down the window and splattered the cone across the side walk.
"I don't get off on seeing you suffer. Enmu's into that, not me." Douma assured, tipping back the last of the blizzard. He ran his tongue over his plump lips before discarding the cup back into Gyutaro's already messy and weed ridden van. "I get off on... well. Everything else."
"I'm not fucking you." You assured, not even close to believing yourself. Neither did Douma.
"Like you didn't fuck Giyu?"
"I didn't fuck- well, i- I never fucked Giyu. I just... oh this is so bull shit."
"You just what?" Douma probed.
"Just lost... You're going to think I'm pathe-" You cut yourself off to revel in the feeling of his predatory look.
Nobody had ever made you feel so edible with such little action. It was arguable if you could even consider such a look predatory. Cannibalistic was probably a better word, because there was nothing animal about his intentions.
Human. Douma was scarily human. Widened eyes, and an upper lip twitching to maintain a straight line. Waiting for your words like new hymns-
"I-I just lost my virginity to him. He didn't- he didn't really move-" You smothered a sob with a laugh. You could practically hear Douma's eyes flutter shut. He hummed at the news. Hummed.
"So you've never been fucked." He did have authority to say that, you guessed. It wasn't in question. It was acknowledgement. "How... soft." You grimaced.
"I've had sex-"
"No~" Douma sang, tune evil and ill intentioned. "No you haven't~"
"You talk like you know." You sneered, wiping tears away. "I gave head. He gave me head. He- he fingered me-"
"I could finger you." The tentative clack of his ring against the steering wheel was much more daunting than Giyu had ever seemed. You remembered, subconsciously, why you never fucked a Douma. Maybe Giyu's near chastened levels of love were all you were made for, even if Douma's words made your uterus feel like a welcome ticking clock.
"What?" You croaked.
"It upsets me, almost." Douma sighed, starting the car up again. "I hate to see good things go to waste. Knowing you were... so needy that whole time... and he just ate his fingers?" Douma clicked his tongue.
"Don't pity me-"
"I'm pitying your pussy." Douma faked a tear. "A waiting college girl going unfucked? Thats a travesty."
"We're. Not. Fucking." You clarified to Douma, leaning toward him. "Stop trying to make me out to be- easy, and yourself to be some- sex god-"
"Y/N, One: I'm incredibly easy. I find no shame in that." Douma assured. " and two: I'm not some sex god... I'm the sex god." He laughed.
"God, you're fucking cring-"
"Do you want to fuck?" Douma asked, and the words ran over your face like a wash of static. It was numbing, not in an apathetic way, but in a relieving way. Like an ibuprofen right before it thinned your blood.
"We can't-"
"You're right. This van is disgusting. I wouldn't fuck in here, either." Douma laughed. "Is Giyu staying over tonight?"
It was a loaded question. The tone of his voice left nothing hidden about his intentions.
The idea of Giyu hearing you be eaten was-
You shuddered, shaking your head. The vapid you craved your sudden open door to emotional revenge.
He wouldn't even care.
"Yes. He had to be-"
"What if-" Douma interrupted. "What if we make him jealous? You have a lot of malice toward the guy, yeah?" He verbalized your thoughts.
"That won't work. I don't want to hurt him-"
"Oh it will, and fuck that guy." Douma hissed. "In fact, you should let me handle everything. You've worked that little head of yours into a real fog, right? I can make it a really good fog."
"You won't be able to make me cum."
"You have a vibrator, right? I promise I'm more than capable." He laughed.
Saying goodbye to Shinobu had been the worst of the bunch. Though everyone threw you confused glances as they left, Shinobu's had been particularly knowing. You were breaking girl code. You felt like shit, deservingly so.
Douma, however, sat right next to Giyu on the couch, none the wiser. The two conversing like Douma didn't know Giyu was negligent, and like Giyu wasn't sensing something off about the man being there longer than everyone else.
Douma's move choice of Cruel Intentions was very silent.
Giyu didn't have particularly strong feelings about Douma, but Giyu also didn't look known danger in the eye. He was very against that, in fact. A common point of contention. You knew it hurt him when you ignored his look of questioning.
"Why is he here?" He'd whisper as Douma locked the door to the restroom. "Didn't you say you hated him?"
"I- he's just hanging out for a bit. He did me a solid earlier."
Giyu realized a bit meant the night when Cruel Intentions was over, and he watched the two of you dissapear into your bedroom.
"I can't believe you were telling the truth." Douma laughed quietly as he closed the door. "I figured he might get a little territorial... but nothing. Ouch."
"Thanks." You sneered.
"Don't mention it." He shrugged off his jacket, laying it on top of your computer chair. "I can't believe that. Seriously." He seemed genuinely shocked.
"Yeah." You mumbled, trying to mask the hurt that came from the validation of your pain. It was humiliating, as a woman, to admit to such a lack of control over men. It was particularly hard admitting it to Mitsuri-
Douma was easy. He'd never get the problem in full. He did a quick survey over your room while you climbed onto your bed.
You never doubted that your final straw had been drawn.
"You know," Douma starred at you with wide eyes. You wondered, with his many oddities, how he'd managed to get near any woman that wasn't as deranged as you currently were. "I'm a really good kisser." He bragged.
"I'm sure you are-"
A soft hand grabbed your ankle, yanking you from your mattress and back toward Douma. Your ass made contact with his jean clad groin, your legs split to reveal what little your outfit left to the imagination.
It was only when his height kept your feet dangling just off the ground that you considered how much physical power Douma held over you. How much stronger he was. How he could do anything he wanted to you, and planned to do so.
It made your pussy clench to think he could've done this to you at any point. That he definitely wanted to.
His fingers toyed with the already scrunched up hem of your dress, pushing it up to the end of your spine so he'd have every bit of fat on your ass available to his palm.
Your panties didn't even feel like they were there.
"What are you doing?"
"Foreplay." He hummed.
"The last I checked, we're not having sex." His thumb ran down the wet fabric covering your slit. Humiliation burned through your body as it loosed a twitch.
"You don't want it?" He asked, thumb pressing the fabric of your panties just past your entrance. He toyed with the spot, wiggling the covered pad around to fluster you. "Don't want to get fucked proper?"
You stayed silent as Douma's fingers hooked in the band of your panties and shimmied them off your hips.
He groaned at the sight of your sticky cunt, wetness threading the organ to your panties. Your need was silent, proof on your lips-
"I- fuck I do." Desperation had been a trait you'd been warned against for all of your life. It was one of those unattractive woman things, but that's all Giyu had been good for. Making you desperate. Part of you wondered if he was doing somebody a solid- lowering your expectations and sending you back to the wolves.
Douma was a good kisser, and he was good with his hands. Which sucked, because there was something very upsetting about such an awful man being so predisposed to making you aroused-
But his tongue was dominating yours, leaving no crook of your mouth untouched, yet his movements were impossibly gentle- almost aware of how you needed to be treated so you wouldn't run before he could fuck the use out of you.
His hands were no different, toying with your chest. He'd invaded your top only seconds before, and yet he drove your nipples hard instantly. Giyu had been fond of your chest as well, but this went beyond fondness. It was almost scary how well Douma was playing your body, and he hadn't even fucked you, yet. Hadn't even seen the nipples he was bullying, but knew just how to tease them.
Douma had a sickening habit. Every moan you'd make, He'd trade you one back. Not a genuine one, but a mimic, as though to mock your reaction. To remind you of your stone cold denial of him earlier, and how stupid you looked wailing under his hand now.
When his fingers went entirely inside, it was even better. This was sex, you figured. The little burn but commitment Giyu had never wanted to give. You had begged him for months. Pleaded, only giving in when he wanted to touch. Always left waiting for the once in a blue moon he bothered.
Douma had been so easy, and felt so good- his fingers pounding your needy cunt with verve while his lips grinned against your ear with elation. The warmth of his jeaned knee- the sight of his bangs dangling infront of your own crossing eyes-
"Virgin tight cunt. I can't believe you're real. You must be insatiable, now."
Douma's cock felt like salvation. Like a water bottle after a drought. It slid into your begging pussy with a wet squelch. Douma's body warmth felt like a fire in a snow logged cabin. His right hand kept your hands locked between the two of you, his left yanking your hair back so he can mar your neck- a mark for everyday you'd gone with out. Tallys for your unwillingly abstinence.
He'd keep that number in mind. You needed a cum for every one you'd been deprived of.
"Give me my name, Doll. Whose cock are you creaming on?"
"D-Douma's-!" Another one ripped through you, Douma spreading your legs with his so you got the full package. You didn't even know your cunt was capable of housing such a beast- let alone so many loads-
By the time Douma had finished, you weren't of this world anymore. You'd cried and begged, came and went- and you rested mindlessly with four or so batches of his seed stored lovingly in your womb.
Giyu hadn't been standing outside of the door when Douma walked out, but he'd been close enough for Douma to know he and you hadn't just been heard- you'd been listened to.
Giyu was disheveled clearly having attempted rest at some point through the fuckfest three doors down, but unable to succeed.
"I didn't take you for such a... forgetful lover." Douma taunted, laughing as he wiped off one of your many orgasms from his fingers.
"Keep your remarks to yourself."
"Keep your girlfriend satisfied." Giyu grimaced at the response. Douma merely smiled. "You know, I feel like I should tell you something right now, but I just can't place it."
"I may not be with her, but I know you're bad for her. We all know you're bad for her. Back. Off."
"You're a complete moron." Douma sighed. "For that, I've completely forgotten whatever well meaning man on man advice I had for you." He threw the wadded up toilet paper toward Giyu and turned back toward your room.
Giyu wanted to say something, wanted to be angry, wanted to lash out- but he simply turned his head down. Douma knew what you meant, then.
"I feel like I've seen the top of his head more than his eyes.'
Douma couldn't see just what you saw in the man. Giyu was attractive, sure, so maybe, Douma considered, you were just greviously insecure, and Giyu had been nice in the right moment.
He wouldn't fuck you, or fight for you- hell, Giyu could barely keep the erection your emotional demise had caused hidden.
Douma rolled his eyes. His ringed finger tapped against your door frame. He turned his back to Giyu with no fear. A talent he had to start fucking into you at the next convenience.
"I'll keep your girlfriend warm til you figure out how to do it yourself, yeah? Later, Tomioka."

Ace x Sabo Badminton AU 🏸 of @februairy
Enjoy!~
After Ace and Sabo won the Olympics badminton tournament, the crowd went wild with cheers. As the final point secured their victory, Sabo suddenly dropped his racket and dashed to Ace’s arms who were open for his hold.
In a spontaneous move, Sabo kissed Ace. The crowd gasped in surprise, but those gasps quickly turned into even louder cheering and clapping. The cameras were quickly focused on them.
Ace and Sabo’s first PDA and clearly a somewhat form of announcement of their relationship <3
The entire audience was filled with the sound of celebration. Ace and Sabo shared a long, heartfelt kiss, their victory and love on full display for everyone to see.
Holding each other tight, Sabo started to cry, his tears fell on Ace’s cheeks while he was being held up high in Ace’s arms. It was an overwhelming feeling of joy and love, after years of playing with Ace and being with him as a lover, it made everything worth crying for.
They’ve trained hard and made it their absolute goal to take their gold medals home..together.
The opponents, the audience, and even the officials stood in awe, witnessing this moment of pure joy and love as Ace and Sabo celebrated their hard-earned victory together.
They pull apart and Ace let’s Sabo back on his feet. Hugging each other tightly more then locking eyes,
Ace smirked and leaned in close to Sabo, "You know, 'Bo, if I had a dollar for every time you made my heart race, I'd have enough to buy a badminton court."
Sabo's cheeks flushed as he scoffed, pushing Ace back a bit with one hand while covering his blushing face with the other. "Pfft—stop it, Ace. You're so annoying!" Wiping his tears and laughing that makes Ace’s heart truthfully race fast.
Sabo’s smile and laugh never fails to make Ace feel at home and so in love..
They were then interrupted when their coach wrapped them both in a tight hug, arms securely around them.
The cameras were flashing at them when they were taken pictures together and brought over to the rest of the players who were also receiving their respectful medals.
Without even letting go either way, they held hands walking over to the staff. Even as they bowed and lifted their medals to the camera next to their Indonesian/Japanese flag (whatever country u prefer to see them from tbh lol)
Their friends, especially Luffy all surrounded them and congratulated them both for their relationship and victory. By hugging them and ruffling their hairs.
They pulled out their engagement rings from under their shirts and proudly showed it off to their friends and family. It was a personal moment for them both to finally announce their engagement.
They have no regrets whatsoever as long as they’re together.
The atmosphere was all so.. right.

CHAPTER SIX — BAD INFLUENCE
“And that’s a fucking wrap!” Tom shouted, flute of champagne held up for a toast. The long dinner table erupted with applause and cheering. “I won’t bore you with a long speech, I know I already talk too much. So enjoy your dinner, and we will see you next year for season two!” Another round of applause as he joins in on the cheering before taking his seat.
“Thank god, I’m starving.” Pedro grumbled in his seat, next to Naela of course.
“I know, right? I feel like I can finally relax and eat a full meal. I’m so nervous in between takes that I can’t eat,” she chuckles, wasting no time in digging in.
“Really? What makes you so nervous?” There was that tone again. She gave him a knowing smirk in between bites.
“Hm. Interesting.” He knew what she was trying to say. Pedro and Naela always seemed to be on the same page, which was proven true when they were asked if they wanted to continue the party after dinner at a nearby club.
“But we have to wake up so early tomorrow,” Naela droned, pouting at Joanna.
“Yeah, I don’t know about being hungover for a 7 hour flight,” Pedro added.
“Oh, come on, love birds! Let’s have some fun tonight!” Joanna shook Naela’s shoulders, forcing them to laugh. “We won’t get to see each other again until the season premier!”
“Blondie’s right, let’s go make bad decisions!” Boyd joined in, jokingly cheering at the last part. Pedro looked at Naela, smirking at her while he considered the idea.
“I’ll go if she goes,” he decided before taking the last drink from his glass. Naela rolled her eyes but failed to look annoyed with her cheeks flushed.
“Pleeease, Naela? I promise it’ll be so much fun!” Joanna clasped her hands together as she begged. Naela thought for a moment, clearly it was important to Joanna.
“Fine. But I’m leaving at midnight, sharp,” Naela tried to warn her, but Joanna was already jumping and cheering after the first word.
“Yay! That’s probably how late I wanted to stay out anyway.” Joanna beamed at her, making her chuckle and shake her head.
As soon as they passed the bouncer, Naela could feel the regret setting in. The music, the dancing, and the overall atmosphere just wasn’t her. She was more of a bar kind of girl. However, if you got a few drinks in her, she could definitely be a club girl.
A few drinks meaning two shots of tequila and a refajo; exactly what she’d had tonight. The group gathered around a small, circular, bar-height table with their drinks. Joanna and Naela were chatting on one side, and the boys on the other. With her barriers down, conversation was flowing without any effort. They were laughing, joking, telling stories, and it all felt natural. Things came to a crashing halt, however, when Joanna heard one of her favorite songs come on.
She gasped, “I love this song! Naela, you have to come dance with me!” She clapped giddily before taking Naela’s hands, robbing her of the opportunity to say no. Luckily, it was one of Naela’s guilty pleasure songs as well, ones that you hate to admit they make you dance every time.
They didn’t waste a second getting to the dance floor and swaying their hips together to the beat. The neon lights glided across their skin as they moved, making a beautiful scene for everyone to watch, and they did. They stood out against the crowd and Naela only realized it when the music changed and she finally paid attention to her surroundings. A few pairs of eyes were on them, but the only ones she cared about were the espresso orbs staring at her from across the dance floor. Before she could think, her feet were carrying her closer to him and Joanna was following close behind.
They weaved their way through the dance floor and eventually arrived back at the table. Her eyes were mostly locked with Pedro’s, but she couldn’t help but notice the new round of drinks waiting for them on the table.
“Aw, how’d you know?” Joanna mused as she took the shot glass in her hand.
“Just had a feeling.” Pedro answered, openly winking at Naela. She smirked and followed suit, taking the small-but-mighty tequila shot in her hand.
“Cheers.” She hoped her friends didn’t pick up on the suggestive tone meant for Pedro. If they did, they didn’t comment before bringing their glasses together, then tapping them on the table in ritual. Naela held her breath as she brought the glass up to her plump and glossed lips and downed the firey liquid in one go. She usually couldnt hide her disgust after the second shot and this time was no different. Luckily for her, Pedro found the way she scrunched her nose and stuck out her tongue adorable. He shook off his own disgust before smiling down at her while she wasn’t looking.
“I think we should go dance with different people at the same time,” Joanna announced, looking pointedly at Boyd. He looked confused at first, but she nudged him and gestured towards Naela and Pedro on the other side of the table.
“What—“ Naela started before Boyd cut her off, agreeing with Joanna.
“Yeah, yeah I’m gonna go dance…” He trailed off as she dragged him away. Naela turned to Pedro, who was already looking at her, and couldn’t contain her laughter.
He shook his head, “What are we gonna do with them?”
She giggled, “I have no idea.” He sighed and glanced around the room, trying to swallow his anxiety.
“So what’s the first thing you’re doing when you get home?” Was the first question he could think of. The lights were flashing around, making focusing harder and just her presence was enough to make him sweat. She held back a wide smile by biting her lip, unable to contain her excitement.
“Firing my manager,” she answered confidently.
He instantly burst into laughter, letting his head fall back. “That’s fair, very fair.”
“What about you?” She asked, letting her body language naturally open up as she turned toward him. He smoothed his mustache for a moment, like he was deep in thought.
“Probably just gonna wait for you to call me,” he answered with a smug look on his face. She nudged him with her elbow, refusing to give in to the temptations she was feeling.
“I’m serious,” she added, looking up at him.
“So am I,” he chuckled. “Hope John won’t be too jealous.”
She scoffed, knowing he knew her boyfriends name, “It’s Josh. And he already is, if I’m honest.” The liquor was getting to the both of them and it was obvious in their conversation. His brow furrowed with interest.
“Oh yeah? Why’s that?” His tone again. It was like a siren’s call that pulled her further out to sea, and she was entirely fine with drowning in it.
“I only told him bits and pieces of a few scenes and he tried to convince me not to take the job. He damn near broke up with me when I told him about the other contract.” Her expression fell as she spoke, and Pedro swore he could feel a fire ignite in his chest. He was enraged by the fact that a man could treat a woman like her so poorly.
“Well you can tell John to step up or I’m next.” She didn’t bother to correct him. Her head was spinning, trying to find something witty and not awkward to say.
“Maybe I will,” with a cheeky smile and intentional eye contact was the best she could come up with. “I’m gonna go use the restroom. Could you get us another round?” she added to diffuse the tension. He nodded and watched as she gathered her purse and turned to walk away. Naela felt the urge to look over her shoulder, feeling a pair of eyes on her. Sure enough, glancing back at Pedro, she could clearly see his eyes glued below her waist. He looked up at her, wiping his thumb across his lip with a sultry look in his eyes. He didn’t even try to play it off, he wanted her and didn’t care if she knew.
The few minutes she had to herself in the bathroom Naela used relieve herself, but mostly to fix her hair and smudged lip gloss. She took several deep breaths before making her way across the sea of people in between her and where her friends were standing. Boyd and Joanna had joined Pedro back at the table, new drinks in their hands.
“How was sitting on the other side of the club for ten minutes?” Naela asked sarcastically as she sauntered up to the group.
“It was great actually, much better company,” Boyd added jokingly. Pedro wheezed as he laughed and nudged his shoulder.
An hour or so and a few more drinks later, Naela could feel everyone starting to slow down, whether it was from exhaustion or the liquor. Her own words were slurred and she found everything much more funny than it actually was. Additionally, she found herself standing much closer to Pedro than she should’ve been. By now, she leaned into him with his arm ghosting her back as they stood. Either no one cared or they were too drunk to notice.
Speaking of too drunk, while laughing at something Pedro said, she stumbled back into his chest.
“Wow, you’re really drunk,” he whispered teasingly in her ear, chuckling a bit as his hands lingered on the outside of her arms.
“Not even a little bit,” she mumbled, craning her neck to meet his gaze as she rested against him now.
“Let’s get you in bed, yeah?” She knew that wasn’t how he meant it but the ache she felt in between her legs thought otherwise. She nodded and couldn’t help but bite her lip as she looked up at him with suggestive eyes. He smirked down at her enticingly innocent expression, trying to silence the inappropriate thoughts circling his mind.
“I’ll call a taxi,” he chuckled, shaking his head.
“Are you guys coming?” She asked the rest of the group, her eyelids starting to droop and her words becoming more strung together by the second.
“No, I think we’ll finish our drinks first,” Joanne slurred as well, unable to hide her smirk. “You guys go ahead.”
“Okayyy, I’ll see you guys in the morning then.” Naela sloppily wrapped her arms around her friend, almost making the both of them topple over. They laughed it off before she broke away to hug Boyd as well.
“Don’t do anything stupid, yeah?” He joked, patting her back casually.
“So don’t do anything you would do, got it!” Naela resposed teasingly. He chuckled and nudged her away with his palm to her forehead. She retreated to Pedro, who was just getting off the phone.
As if it were a habit, he slinked his arm around her shoulder, whispering in her ear, “Vámonos, hermosa.” God, is Josh could see this…
Naela shooed the thought of her boyfriend away as Pedro held the door for her. The brisk air hitting her face didn’t sober her up one bit, but it felt nice. He joined her near the curb as they waited.
“So what are you actually doing first when you get home?” She asked curiously, smiling brightly at him. Her dimples made him want to cave right then and there.
“I’ll be sleeping for the first few days, trust me,” he laughed, “But once I’m awake I’m shaving this off.” He smoothed his facial hair down, a gesture Naela had grown to find extremely enticing. However, she gasped unexpectedly once she processed what he had said.
“No, please don’t get rid of it! It’s really grown on me,” she whined, inching closer to him and letting her palm rest on his chest.
“I’m pretty sure it’s literally grown on me,” he joked. Once again, even though it wouldn’t be that funny if she were sober, she let her head fall back with laughter, causing her to lose her footing and trip off of the curb and into the street. She would’ve been just fine, but Pedro instinctively grabbed her and pulled her back onto the side walk, coincidentally into his arms. With his heart practically beating out of his chest, tension hung in the air for what felt like many minutes as he searched her eyes for any sign of hesitancy. For once, Pedro knew exactly what he wanted and he was going to get it. No advice from management, no contract, or anything else for that matter could’ve kept him from kissing her in that moment.
Slowly, he brought their lips together for a gentle, yet meaningful kiss. It was so different from all the other times they’d kissed; it wasn’t rushed, expectant, or in front of an entire cast and crew. It was perfect, and she never wanted it to end as her arms found their way around his neck, pulling him in deeper. Their long-anticipated fantasy was over, however, when an impatient honker ripped them out of it. Naela had no idea how long the cab driver had been waiting behind them.
“Oh, shit…Lo siento, señor!” Pedro apologized to the driver before swinging the door open and allowing Naela in first. As they started driving, she instantly knew why the studio was so particular about them using their assigned drivers. She was regretting her last drink as the driver made sharp turns and lurched at every stop. She thought closing her eyes would help, but eventually she resorted to letting her head rest of Pedro’s shoulder.
“You okay?” He asked softly, looking down at her. She shook her head and groaned.
He chuckled, “Tell me if we need to stop. Not sure he’d be too happy if you threw up in here.” She only let out a deep breath in response.
“Frena, por favor. Ella está mareada,” He spoke up to the driver, who instantly accepted his request and drove carefully the rest of the way back.
“Veinte mil pesos, por favor.” The driver said coldly as he put the car in park and outstretched his hand. Pedro sighed and reached around to take out his wallet, giving him two crisp blue bills.
“Quédeselo.” He resposed simply as he pulled himself out of the back seat. Naela reached for her car door, but before she could step out, Pedro was opening her door and holding his hand out for her. She gladly accepted, regaining her footing much better than she had before the ride home. Once the cool air hit her skin again, she felt much better. They smiled at eachother after he closed the door, hardly having a chance before the cab sped off. Naela hardly noticed. She did notice, however, how right Joanna was about how he looked at her. Her cheeks were either hot from him or the drinks, and her stomach, she was sure turned into butterflies.
“You don’t need me to carry you, do you?” He asked teasingly.
She chuckled, “Hm, now that you mention it…” He knew exactly what her tone was implying. He sighed, and without a moment of hesitation, he bent down and wrapped his arms around her thighs and threw her over his shoulder. She squealed at the unexpected movement, desperately grasping onto his back for support.
“I wasn’t serious!” She giggled into his leather jacket as it pressed up against her chin. Once they reached her trailer, he slowly planted her feet on the ground, at which point Naela realized she had neither her shoes or her purse. She patted her side, swearing her bag was hanging off her shoulder moments ago.
“I got it, don’t worry,” He reassured her as he took her keys out of her purse, her shoes in his other hand. She couldn’t remember taking anything off, but she was grateful at least Pedro was keeping track of her mess.
“Oh, thanks,” she responded softly. After a few tries, he eventually opened the door to her trailer and ushered her inside.
“So this is where you’ll be staying for the next six months,” he joked, gesturing around the living space. Naela could hardly focus on what he was saying, though. Something about being taken care of made her want to take care of him. She slowly started inching toward him as he went on. “I hope you like spanish TV, because that’s all that plays—“
Before he could finish, she pressed her lips against his and tangled her fingers in his hair. Caught off guard, he found himself unable to back away, in fact his hands were slithering around her back and pulling her closer. But no matter how much he wanted this, or how long he’d waited, he didn’t want to be that person.
“Naela,” he managed to say in between feverish kisses. He was only met with more kisses. God, he wanted to give in so bad. But not only was she in a relationship, she was drunk. He planted both hands on either side of her face and retracted his own, looking her dead in the eyes.
“Naela, we can’t.” He shook his head, eye contact unbreaking so he knew she understood. Her face instantly dropped, and Pedro felt a pang in his chest. Why did she have to look at him like that?
“You don’t like me?” Her brow tipped upward, making her look utterly devastated. He instantly mirrored her expression, feeling horrible.
“No, no, it’s not that…” He shook his head and let his hands fall to her shoulders. He was no longer nervous to admit it, it’s what she needed to hear. “I really like you, Naela.” It didn’t seem to make her feel better, her eyes glued to the floor. He sighed and brought his hand back up to her cheek, this time brushing her hair behind her ear.
“You’re drunk, amor. And I want us to start off on the right foot. Nothing tieing us to other people…” He hooked his finger under her chin and lifted her eyes to meet his gaze.
“I don’t want there to be any question that we both want this.”
“There isn’t,” she retorted, her eyes unwavering. She slid her hand up his torso, gripping lightly onto his collar once she reached it.
“Please, Pedro…” She couldn’t bring him to her level, so she got on her tip toes to connect their lips once more. He grumbled into the kiss, begrudgingly reciprocating.
“You’re making this really hard for me, Naela.” He growled once their lips parted, still holding her frame close as their foreheads pressed together.
“I hope I’m making something else hard too,” she teased, biting her lip.
“You don’t get to know,” he argued, giving her one last firm peck before straightening his back once more. Their hands loosely intertwined at their sides as he smirked down at her.
“You’re a bad influence,” he chuckled, swiping his tongue across his bottom lip.
“I would say I’m more of a fun influencer.” Pedro instantly laughed at her nonsensical response.
“Okay, yeah, time for bed, Naela.” Before she could protest, he spun her around by her shoulder and began guiding her toward her bed.
The next thing Naela knew, the alarm on her phone was blaring next to her head as she untangled herself from the covers. She quickly scrambled to grab her phone and silence it. She looked at the time, four AM. The events of the night before instantly set in. Naela couldn’t tell if she wished she had more to drink that night so she wouldn’t have to remember embarrassing herself like that. On one hand, she totally would’ve thrown up on Pedro at some point, but was that really worse than what she had done? Naela didn’t think so.

the long awaited review of storm bringer
sorry this took me so long to do i had some stuff happening
THIS ONE WILL BE LONG SO GET READY!!
Bang!
A hollow blast echoed through the street.
Chuuya stood stock-still as numerous bloodlike streams slid down his head-from multicolored party streamers.
"Happy one-year Port Mafia anniversary, Chuuya!" The pool hall rang with the five men's cheerful shouts. Chuuya looked around the room with an annoyed glare.
"..What is wrong with you people?"
first of all i love the flags dearly, i always have ever since i saw the stageplay but the ln really just sealed the deal for me <3
of course, getting attached was a BAD IDEA but anyway
"Now I get it!" His voice was unnecessarily loud. "You thought you could pull a fast one on me, showin' me this so I'd get all weepy and apologize! That's what's goin' on, isn't it?!"
"Hmm? No, actually, we—"
now here we have chuuya not believing the gift from the flags he received was genuine and it makes me wonder how more distrustful he had become since joining the pm :(
Up until a few minutes ago, there were six people in the room... but now there were seven.
"No need to clap," said the seventh man.
I LOVED ADAMS ENTRANCE SO MUCH MORE IN THE LN ITS SO FUNNY I LOVE HIM SO MUCH he’s so silly guys live laugh love adam frankenstein
"Chuuya, you cannot defeat Verlaine alone, which is why I was sent here. He is no ordinary assassin. Paul Verlaine is the king of assassins—and your elder brother."
now i just find it interesting that despite not biologically being related, adam still refers to paul as chuuya’s brother
i always thought paul was simply a self proclaimed brother but adam’s wording suggests otherwise
"Yeah, this is my problem," began Chuuya, standing in front of the closed door. "But if something like this happened to one of you guys, I don't think I could just ignore it. I'd try to help whether you liked it or not; I bet the rest of you'd feel the same way. So, detective, spit it out and tell them, too, or I'm not gonna cooperate."
The group stared at him, wide-eyed and impressed.
"Hey, did you guys hear that?" asked Piano Man.
"I did," Iceman said with a nod.
"I forgot to turn on my tape recorder." Lippmann gave a faint smirk.
"Tsk. On second thought, I'm just gonna handle this on my own."
"No way, man! No take-backs! I'm not letting you out that door."
this was so cute guys, i love the moment of vulnerability and the way they tease him like older brothers
It was Dazai's dark figure. Chuuya tried calling out to him, straining his voice, until he finally regained consciousness.
He was lying in front of that pool hall: Old World. He was no longer focused on Dazai but the inside of the hall. The undeniable stench of blood filled the air.
it’s the fact that he knew to bring him to old world which on the one hand is sweet but the other hand it’s… suspicious
"I'm gonna save you! Hold on!"
It was evident that there was no saving him, even without getting closer for a better look. His abdomen was torn open, exposing his ribcage.
"I'm sorry, Chuuya... He got me. I can't see... I can't even feel my legs anymore," Albatross gurgled in a whisper. His eyes were no longer seeing the world of the living. His legs were crushed from the knees down as well.
"But I saved Doc. I grabbed him by the collar and pulled him out of the attack's way," said Albatross. "Everyone else is dead.
And I'm gonna die, too. But Doc... He needs your help..."
Albatross's right hand was clutching onto Doc's collar like a treasure he held dear. Doc's eyes were closed as if he were sleep-ing, and he didn't have a scratch on his body—his upper body, that is. There was nothing left of Doc from the waist down.
"…"
Chuuya groaned and clenched his jaw tight. He had to consciously fight the urge to scream.
"All right," Chuuya replied evenly, keeping his emotions at bay.
"I'll take care of Doc. He's gonna be okay thanks to you. You always were amazing like that. You should be proud."
albatross’ death actually made me ill so i’m sharing it with you all now
"Yeah, it's true." His voice rang of bitterness. It sounded as if he would have rather died than admit it. "But I can't get in touch with him. Whatever. Hope he's dead in a ditch somewhere."
"I see." I, however, believed that we would be in trouble if we lost an ideal player for the mission. "Can you trust this individual?"
"Trust him? No way," Master Chuuya spat. "He's a real piece of shit. Got a twisted personality to go with it, too. He's the kind of guy who'd try to sell water to someone who was drowning. What makes him even scarier, though, is that he'd actually pull it off. He's sharp in a bad kind of way. But we won't be able to beat Verlaine without him."
i love the way he describes dazai it’s so funny
Those who knew Dazai didn't dare come near his home-not even his Port Mafia subordinates-and not because of how eerie the area was. Rather, nobody knew how Dazai would react when someone invaded his private space. Perhaps he would tear off their limbs and kill them, or perhaps he would welcome them with open arms and a cup of tea. Nobody could understand how Dazai worked.
what a goofy fella
"Charming place you have here, Dazai," came a lighthearted voice. "What frightens you so much that you choose to live in such a dreary place? Real estate tax?"
verlaine says this… we’re supposed to be scared of this guy? BRO IS GOOFY
"Gimme your pen."
"Be my guest."
After grabbing the pen that was handed to him, Chuuya effortlessly scrawled something within the signature column at the bottom of the document. When the detective leaned forward to check the signature, he was met with the following words:
Eat shit.
Chuuya then tossed the pen on the desk, wrapped his arms behind his head, leaned back in his chair, and put his feet up.
he’s such an ass i love him so much
"I see." A self-deprecating smirk played on his lips. "But, detective..."
Chuuya's eyes had clouded over, shrouded in darkness.
"…you should probably save your sympathy for a fellow human."
he was already questioning his humanity despite not having been to the lab yet and it hurts so bad guys :(
"Chuuya's not with you? Good grief. He's even late to important events like this." Verlaine's tone was casual and carefree, even. "I bet he would show up late to a first date, too. You know, as his brother, I worry about him. Sigh..."
verlaine doing shit like this again
"He—Chuuya—was wearing a military uniform I think he stole from somewhere. He was a huge mess. His face and hair were filthy. He wasn't wearing shoes, either," Shirase continued, voice quavering. "We—the Sheep's original members—thought he was some orphan living on the streets. He spoke to us first.
"What's that square thing?' is what he said."
Shirase looked down at the ground as if he was desperately trying to remember every detail that happened that day.
"I had no idea what he was talking about... I thought he was just weird. That's when he said, 'Tell me what that square thing is in your hand. Right now.'"
Shirase lifted his gaze and idly stared into the distance.
"I was holding a slice of bread."
A deep silence reigned over the corridor, eerily so, especially after the destruction that preceded it. Verlaine quietly listened to the story.
"When I told him it was bread, he asked, 'Can you eat it?' Then when I went 'Yeah' and tore off a piece and ate it to show him, he did the last thing I was expecting him to do. He fainted, like he was out of batteries. It wasn't until I went over to check up on him that I noticed how skinny he was. He looked half dead. The others were weirded out and didn't want anything to do with him, but I gave him bread and some water. After convincing the group, I took him with me to the Sheep hideout in the sewers."
chuuya nakahara you are sickening
"Hey, don't look so worried! It'll be fine! I was the brains of the Sheep, and you're gonna have me on your side now, so there's nothing to worry about! I'll help you find the next target in no time!"
My arithmetic operator indicated it was highly probable Shirase was not the brains of anything but simply was useless in every other regard. I immediately shut down the operation. I did not want to know the truth.
I LOVE ADAM SO MUCH HES SO FUNNY
Master Chuuya watched Shirase flail his arms about for a full ten seconds before deeply sighing.
"What are you lookin' at me like that for?!" Shirase demanded.
"Nothing... If I told ya, it'd just make things worse," Master Chuuya said before averting his gaze.
they’re so childish too i love them
"Sigh... Somebody call a wahmbulance for this guy, seriously."
chuuya making fun of shirase again
Verlaine stood in mute amazement for a few moments before nodding as if he had figured out what was going on. "Now I get it. I finally see how you two did it."
Master Chuuya and Dazai stood side by side. There was something surprisingly perfect about it.
Two young men with completely different personalities...
they’re so meant for each other guys it’s crazy
"You messed with the wrong guy, Verlaine," Dazai said with a faint smirk. "I know exactly how to deal with someone who can manipulate gravity. Day in and day out, I've spent every waking and sleeping moment think about how I can annoy Chuuya."
he’s literally obsessed with him
After staring in mute amazement for a brief moment, his lips eased into a smile.
"Show-off."
It was an annoyed yet relieved smile. He then promptly began giving orders into the radio.
"Everyone, prepare for battle. Chuuya is heading toward the target."
why is he as a man amazed by another man
"Incredible," a dumbfounded Dazai muttered as he watched from the top of the gas tank. "So this is the power of Arahabaki."
like he literally is so captivated by chuuya throughout this entire scene, every time they mention dazai it’s like “he watched in absolute awe” or something
"So that's Arahabaki's—that's Chuuya's true form," Dazai muttered feverishly as he stared up from the surface.
he’s so down bad
After limply floating in the air for a few sec-onds, the wings on Chuuya's back vanished, and he slowly began to fall.
Until Dazai caught him.
"Sleep well, Chuuya." Dazai faintly smiled at him. "I forgot to bring a pen with me, so I won't draw on your face this time. You're welcome."
down terrible
"Wish you were me, huh? A future king needs a big city to set up base, after all!" Shirase gloated. "I learned something from all this. The mechanical detective that died, the king of assassins— they were incredible. I couldn't believe people like them actually existed. The world really is a big place! That's why I'm gonna use the gemstones I stole from the research facility to set up a base in London! The next time you see me, I'm gonna be the king of an organization even bigger than the Port Mafia. I'll make sure to keep a position open for you, Chuuya."
guys shirase is such an idiot i love him so much
“the world really is a big place!” like no shit sherlock you’re just figuring this out?
"Would you like to hear an android joke, Master Chuuya?" Chuuya stood in utter disbelief, mouth agape in astonishment.
He eventually took in a deep breath—possibly the deepest he'd ever taken. Then all of a sudden, he cracked a smile...
"Ha-ha-ha!"
...and laughed.
CHUUYA CARES ABOUT ADAM AND I SNIFF SNIFFLE EUGHHH
"I'm sorry, Rimbaud," he said in almost a whisper as he clenched his jaw. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't treat you like the friend you were. I'm sorry I couldn't thank you for the present you gave me on my birthday. And now that you're no longer here... Now I'm just so terribly sad."
Verlaine's voice trembled as he lifted his head to the heavens and closed his eyes. He kept still. For the longest time, he remained there facing the night sky.
RIMLAINE 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
He had no interest in the outside world. There was nobody he wanted to kill or see. The only person he missed was Rimbaud, but he was gone.
THEY MAKE ME ILL
guys i love rimlaine so much they’re so important to me
anyways those were my quotes hehe hope you enjoyed uhhh GO READ STORMBRINGER ITS PHENOMENAL

4 the fic ask thing if u want to share info on any or all of them I would clap and cheer
fuck yeah
emunene little mermaid au: ive talked about this like once, but it's basically what it sounds like. emu is a princess; nene is a mermaid
plot stuff, emu goes on a ship, emu is saved by nene when her ship goes down, and she's very !!!! when she realizes that nene is the one with the singing voice she'd been hearing right after her grandpa died. unfortunately she is half delirious when she's saved and doesn't remember how nene looks. emu vows to look for the beautiful lady with the beautiful voice....
ruinene and emukasa would be the platonic pairings in the fic. i considered having tsukasa be emu's fiance? if only to parallel the original story. nene won't stab tsukasa. probably. but she does find him deeply annoying at first. he and emu might be close enough to consider a marriage of convenience...still havent figured that part out yet. nene gets less annoyed by tsukasa when she sees why he's emu's friend
rui is the sea witch, and he helps nene become temporarily human.
i dont have any of it fleshed out but i want to do something with the idea so bad. emu dragging nene to see the sights of the human world and to socialize.......nene being emu's company for longer than either knew. nene realizing the value of her voice when it's gone....she thought being silent wouldn't be any different from normal, but emu made her want to talk, and to sing, to yell and laugh. she wants to have an our happy ending moment with emu but she can't
rui angst fic/TtSaB/Working Title: "When faced with the unthinkable, Rui struggles to navigate old feelings and new fears. Fortunately, he has his friends by his side... it's just a matter of letting them in."
this is a fic ive been chipping at had since curtain call came to en LMAO. i asked 'hey can i have curtain call rui please please please ill write and post that fic idea i have' and rui came home in a single pull. so im legally bound to write and post it eventually. here's some of the scenes ive done
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
actual dogshit writing lmao. but yeah this fic is more serious than any of my other prsk ideas. i wanted rui to have at least one important scene with each wxs member, because their friendship is at the core of this. also wanted to include the vocaloids bc it's not project sekai without them....even if the idea of talking about your personal problems to hatsune miku is. well.
the plot and title is under wraps for the time being, but here's my notes on how i want to characterize rui
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the fic should be 8 chapters. It's teetering between a Teen Rating and a Mature Rating, but I should probably write the rest before deciding anything...
other:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
whenever im bored, i format unwritten fic ideas into stories on ao3. ive written absolutely almost nothing for either of these, but it's nice to imagine i have lmao
But I'm Still Here: Saki goes invisible, and everyone around her proceeds to freak out as they search for the 'missing' girl. includes tsukasa ping ponging between 'we'll find her, we have to' and 'it's so fucking over', leo/need trkes and failing not to fall into depression, and saki feeling guilty that Everyone's lives are put on hold for her. the original idea was set before they debut, but maybe it should be after (so toya would have surpassed rad weekend already lmao).
everyone who adores saki makes themselves sick with worry. especially since it lasts about a week. tsukasa has not been that anxious in his fucking life. he's coping...fine. he's doesn't throw himself down while wailing at least. and he doesnt vomit from stress (preventing both takes a lot of self control). leo/need try to be strong for each other, but they are all sad shivering dogs. shiho wants to punch to be useful but knows she can't do anything. ichika tries to stay hopeful, like saki would want. honami tries to be their calm leader...but theyre like, 16/17, so theyre all just anxious.
Phthonus: Rui is envious and sad the fic, rip bozo. it'd be an introspective fic. i'd want rui to subconsciously compare and contrast himself and bakuno, and come to the realization that tsukasa (romantically) likes the parts of bakuno that rui doesn't have (bakuno's timidness, his lack of confidence, his acting, his ability to not annoy tsukasa lmao). but he also has traits that rui does have (his passion for theatre, obsession with writing stories, talent above his age range, the ability to bounce ideas off of tsukasa)
tsukasa still loves rui, but he never saw him in a romantic light. if he ever did, then it's too late....tsukasa set his eyes on bakuno and went "i can fix him". and unfortunately, tsukasa isn't polyamorous. rui deals with the heartache every time he sees tsukasa, even though it hurts him. he loves him too much to ever look away
uhh other stuff without titles-
bakuno/tsukasa fic, maybe a kotaro/akito fic. they would be in a series about the npcs waxing poetic about the ocs. throw in some pairings like miyake & rui, otori siblings & emu, yukki and mizuki, nagi and an....but the first fic would be bakukasa because i like them a lot lmao
Another rui is jealous fic, but it ends in rks- bakuno and tsukasa sign up to be gay lovers in a short film and rui's clenches his teeth and tries not to mope over it. (he is the one that asked them to do it) he does not know why and thinks there's something wrong with the film/acting rather than himself. he's stupid. meanwhile tsukasa is slowly realizing he likes men bc of gay research he did... and while he thinks bakuno is cute, he's immediately hit in the face that he likes rui a Lot.
saki in mogami land fic- saki gets isekaid in a hell world where everyone hates her/doesn't know her. i cant decide yet. maybe both. tsukasa and her parents say mean shit to her, ichika avoids her, her favorite idol doesn't even know who she is. the ending is her going back to her normal world, where she proceeds to be crushed by tsukasa and her parents (she went missing for a week. tsukasa cries the hardest at her reappearance... though her parents aren't too far behind) this is another "i want to show saki how loved she is by taking it away from her" fic
ruikasa are fucking dumb fic - tsukasa confesses to rui, they get together, and then things go down hill because neither know how to act in a new relationship. tsukasa wants to be a good boyfriend, so he treats rui differently (in a way that bothers rui). he's probably sweet and nice and doting, which rui like, but it feels more like a role tsukasa wants to perfect. rui wants tsukasa to be himself. at the same time, rui also wants to be a good boyfriend, but becomes aware that he has no idea how to do that...so instead he subconsciously tests their relationship, wondering just how far he could push tsukasa to get him to go back to "normal". the conclusion is that theyre stupid and just needed to adjust and realize nothing changed
future wxs meets present wxs - there r so many ideas i have for this it'd fucking ridiculous. the most prominent one is future rks meeting present wxs. another one is 3rd anni tsukasa meeting pre wonder magical showtime tsukasa
wxs takes care of child wxs - due to sekai bs, there are teenage wxs and child wxs. they all take turns and interact with the kids...tsukasa and baby rui & nene and baby rui would be cute i think. my ideas are
1) baby rui getting sad that tsukasa said his ideas are too dangerous (he's literally five and wants to jump from a high place). tsukasa feels guilty about his sad little face and offers to do it for rui. cue rui's excitement that an adult wants to try his idea
2) baby rui looks at grown nene like a proud parent and says 'i'm so proud of you nene' and nene goes 'you're literally five. also youve told me that before.' she still says thank you though, bc it's cute and she's fond
child/middle school wxs meets emu's grandpa - rakunosuke shows up during difficult times in tsukasa/rui/nene's lives and helps them smile. none of them remember him, but during that moment, he's a bright light. maybe some emu/rakunosuke parallels?
kamiyama group during mizuki5 - i made a post abt this already, but a silly fun fic to what fun everyone had at the festival. nobody knows mizuki is suffering. very bittersweet
saki helps tsukasa get ready for a date with rui - saki gives tsukasa questionable dating advice and tsukasa ends up botching date with rui (rui doesnt care). includes tsukasa trying to be a gentleman, saki getting love advice from manga and magazines, and rui having a good time watching tsukasa fumble be a gentleman
arcland rui - canon rui wakes up in universe where he joined arcland and asahi. it shows an alternative path rui could have taken, and how that path would have been every bit as valid as keeping wxs together
...unfortunately, rui isn't happy with this because wxs disbanded and he doesn't talk to them as often. he doesn't even go to school with them anymore. (also he has a situationship thing with asahi And tsukasa but he doesn't notice either of them lmao)
i probably have others but these are the ones that come to mind first...hope this is all okay!

Seungcheol x fem!reader
Genre: fluff, Hoshi is there, alcohol consumption,(them being hiding in a closet), slightly the reader has a dirty mind bc of him, they are friends. I used random names for the other female readers in the story.
Warning: English isn’t my first language. Please if you see grammatical wrong tell me!
Please give me feedback
♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
“Love shot” I scream with a smile on my face to my two friends. We were right know at her house drinking. We all as a group finally found some time to hang out together. It was really a while since we all hung up together. So now the whole group sitting on the floor with a table in front of us. The table was full of food and of course Soju. We all had a few drinks and I was tipsy. I felt the warmth on my cheeks. I missed the feeling of the rush of alcohol. It was also a long time ago that I had a drink so I liked the vibe of tonight. Our circle of friends is small and consists of 5 people.
Yuqi, heedo,Seungcheol,Hoshi and me. We are friends since childhood. We were living on the same street and we also went all to the same school, so we all pretty close together. Right now Yuqi and Hoshi did a love shoot because they lost at the drinking game. Everyone clapping and laughing afterwards. I poured me another glass of Soju and beer and still smiled of the love shot they did.
“Everyone who wants another shot” Hoshi screams all over the room. Already tomato red from the alcohol because he’s a weak drinker. We all put our glasses in the air and cheered. After drinking the glass I felt even warmer on my cheeks and I felt drunk. I felt a hand on my back and turned to the side to see who it is.
“Hey you okay” Seungcheol asked and looked at my face, which was red on the cheeks.
“I’m good” I said smiling for no reason. I think the alcohol is slowly working in my brain. Seungcheol was the only one who was slightly tipsy. He doesn’t drink often and when he does he drinks only a few of glasses and that’s it.
“Yah! Seungcheol get your hand off her”
My friend Yuqi said with an annoyed face expression and a drunk voice. After her sentence he let go of my back.
“I see guys flirting stop that okay, Choi Seungcheol” she said with her index finger in the air, trying to scare him with her half closed eyes. She then hugged me tightly.
“I can’t loose you” she said snugging in to my face and crying. And I cried with her. Having the guilty feeling for no reason. It’s the alcohol which is working in my body.
“Why are guys crying“ Hoshi asked with a worried face and he also almost cried.
“Because…” I couldn’t even finish sentence because Heedo was screaming and yelling.
“Guys my mom is in 2min there her car is outside” Heedo screamed all over the room and she panicked and grabs the empty soju bottles.
“What” I screamed and stood immediately up which wasn’t a good idea because I almost felt on the table. Luckily Seungcheol grabbed me the last moment because he already stood up and tried to help Heedo with the table out.
Her sentence really scared me and it kinda woke me up.Everything was fast. Everyone helping her getting everything in place and we tried that the room was left like before we drank. After I cleaned the table with a cloth we heard the safety door was being opened. Hoshi and Yuqi went up stairs. They literally crawled up, having the fear that Heedo was being caught. Seungcheol got in a closet that was on the hallway. I looked around the room, bitting my lip as I tried to find a place to hide. I couldn’t think more and got as fast as I can in the closet, where Seungcheol was. Ignoring his shocked face I got in the closet, not facing him.The closet was pretty small and not much space for two people in there. And we were so close together that my back was pressing on his chest.
“Heedo, I’m home” her mom was entering the apartment.
“I’m up stairs” she scream and I hold my breath. I had so much worry that heedo is going to get in trouble because of us. Heedo still lived with her mother because her mother thinks, that she’s too childish to live alone.I didn’t really noticed until know how close me and Seungcheol were right know.
I breath out slowly trying not to breath out loud. I felt his breath on my neck and tried to catch my breath but I could only breath out of my mouth. This closet is so freaking small and feeling him pressing on my back doesn’t make it any better. I heard heedos mom being in the kitchen drinking a glass of something. Out of nothing I felt his big hand covering my mouth and froze and didn’t move.
“Stop breathing so heavily she’s going to hear us” I heard him whispering in my ear. A cold shiver came down my spine. Now I was definitely breathing out of my nose. Being in this situation with Seungcheol was making me feel hot out of a sudden. Feeling his chest pressed on my back and his hand on mouth makes me dizzy, in a good way. I never felt something for Seungcheol. Of course he’s very pretty and attractive but I always saw him as a friend and nothing more. After a while he moved his hand away from my mouth and I could finally breath slower and not so heavily.
After a while I felt my that my legs were very stiff because we were standing here for 20 minutes waiting and hoping that her mom got somewhere else. I tried to adjust myself and moved a bit to get comfortable but I felt his hands immediately on my hips stopping me from moving.
“Fuck” he groaned quietly and pushed my hips forward a little. I bit my bottom lips after I heard his low groan left his lips. I never heard that kinda tone out of his mouth and tried not left a single word.
“I’m sorry” I apologized while his hands were still on hips.
“Mom could please get some ice cream we don’t have anything left in the freezer” heedo screams. Probably in her room so her mother cant see her drunk face.
“Sure honey give me a second” her mother yelled back. Please let this woman leave already. I can’t handle it being with him alone in the closet. Seungcheol finally let go of my hips and I could finally think better. After 5 minutes her mother still didn’t left the apartment. My legs were like jelly now I couldn’t move I couldn’t speak nothing. I was so frustrated I wanted to put my head back and close my eyes. But I couldn’t because he was right behind me. Out of nowhere we heard steps coming towards us. I immediately tried to go back that she couldn’t see us. Seungcheol wrapped his arm around my hips and pushed me towards him so that her mother couldn’t see us from the small crack on the door. I hold my breath and didn’t move till I heard a door closing. I finally could breath out and put my head on his chest.
“Finally” I said and tried to calm my breath down. Putting my hand on chest to feel if I still have a heartbeat from all that shook and relief. I heard seungcheol behind me chuckle and I immediately back up from him and opened the closet. I turned around to see his face. He was standing there having a smirk on his face. He came out of the closet, still with that smirk on his face. I heard the rest of the of the group came downstairs and they found us there in the hallway.
“Thank god, she left” Heedo said almost crying and putting dramatically her hand on her chest and breaths heavily.
“Where do guys hide” she ask and looked between us. I felt that warm in cheeks remembering, that Seungcheol groaned in my ear. My hips pressing to him and his hands on my hips. His big strong hands around my mouth.
Fuck, what am I thinking about.
“In the closet” said seungcheol calmly and the all three had a little smile on the face, like it was funny. Heedo even punched Hoshi slightly on his arms, hiding her smile with her hand.
“Yah! What should we do if you mom came” I yelled at her. Everything was her fault. Tbh I don’t wanna lie, I never thought that I liked being so near at him. I looked at them with an angry face and scan them up. I saw Hoshis lips were smeared with pink lining. Like really messy but I could only see it if I paid attention to his face. Then I saw Yuqi, who was wearing a slightly pink lipstick on her lips.

bride!yeji x bride!reader
warning: flufffffff
“you do too my love. you’re just like the princesses we’ve seen in movies, heck even prettier!”
“babe!!”nudging your side harshly yeji rolls her eyes as you muffle your groan and rub the side of your dress glaring playfully at your blushing bride. not wanting to make yeji upset you agree to behave for the sake of her nerves and now yours growing as your officiator continues to speak. once your bows are recited the ring boy walks up to hand you both the rings as you say your final vows. yeji with a shaky voice and hands manages to place her ring on your finger, giving her hand a firm squeeze you send her a wink before grabbing your ring as they start speaking.
“- do you take hwang yeji to be your beloved wife?” all eyes in you yeji waits holding her breath as you take a moment to soak in her beauty right at the moment before bursting out into a huge grin and sliding the ring onto her finger.
“of course i do!”
“i prounce you wife and wife, you may kiss the- and you already are.” the audience laughs and cheers as you grab yeji’s waist and pull her in for a long kiss smiling the whole time. once you finish before you can say your first words to your new wife everyone runs over to congratulate the two of you. as you both accept the kind words from everyone hannie claps her hands and points toward the doors.
“come on people it’s party time let’s head over to the reception area for cake and food!” a flood of people head out the doors as you weave through the crowd to find your wife when you hear your name being called out. you search for the source and see yeji trying to wave you over before she drives off in a car with her group of friends leaving without out. hannie walks over and sees you standing near the altar dumbfounded, putting a hand on your shoulder she sighs.
“guess you have a runaway bride, come on friend let’s get the two of you reunited shall we?” with the keys to her car she guides you over to drive together to the reception hall, rushing out of the car you ignore her calls and race inside as fast as your heels let you trying to find yeji.
many guests rush to welcome and congratulate you but with polite replies and nods your eyes search the crowd as you find her near the stage taking photos with a line of smiling guests holding their gifts. her tired smile brightens up once she sees you making your way over to her yet she’s unable to speak as guests stand between the two of you posing and handing your their gifts.
silent glances between the two of you continued until finally the dj announced that the maids of honour were ready to give their speeches. hannie and jihyo bc why not took your hands and each guided you to one end of the meal table and yeji to the other further away from you as they took turns relating stories about the two of you as the food was being served.
at some point you began to tune them out and turn to face yeji who was looking more annoyed by the lack of privacy you both so desperately wanted. eventually some clapping wakes up from your trance, you smile politely and thank the two girls for their speech when someone shouts for the couple to cut the cake together. eagerly wanting to be close to your bride you both speed walk to the cake and hold the knife together, you scoot closer and whisper to yeji.
“the moment we cut a slice i’ll pretend to get a plate but i’ll really be waiting for you by the side exit.”
“perfect.” smiling for the cameras the two of you cut the first slice as everyone cheers and starts forming get line for cake. as yeji hand the knife to a server you walk over to the side exit with yeji following close behind, behind a rather large photo booth prop the two of you glance around the room to make sure you weren’t followed before holding each other’s hands.
“finally a moment alone with my wife, ji i thought it’d never come.”
“honestly i was going to scream if i didn’t get to speak to you within the next few minutes.”chuckling at her words you cup her face and kiss the grimance away. scanning the dance floor you make eye contact with hannie who gives you a confused look, shaking your head grab yeji’s hand with a mischievous smile.
“wanna run away with me mrs.last name yeji~?”
“i thought you’d never ask!” running out the door toward the main street to catch a cab back to the hotel you could’ve sworn you heard a hysterical hannie screaming ‘runaway brides’ but you were too captivated by your wife’s musical laughter to notice.
go back and change your outfit 🎩

s1 episode 19 thoughts
my evening scully and mulder time has arrived!!! i read the synopsis of the episode- that they investigate a shapeshifting Indigenous creature- and (correctly) made the guess that things would be. well. appropriation-y.
the first thing i wrote was "roarrrrr a bear", this is because we see a taxidermy bear. hope that clears up any confusion.
the old man looks like mark twain. which is a normal thing to notice about a guy.
the son of mark twain guy- who shot a creature that turned out to be a man- pulls our duo aside and mentions how he knows their story doesn't make sense. i admired this self-aware move. most of the people who give mulder and scully their evidence are less willing to admit that it's kinda unlikely they really got abducted by aliens or saw bigfoot or whatever. so he won me over in this way.
scully's annoyed because she thinks it's just a homicide and says there's NOTHING unusual about this... and at that very moment mulder rolls up with a big piece of skin like "nope. nothing weird at all". count on him to find that. seems just like the thing he'd do. spooky mulder and all.
they go to a bar on the reservation to try and find the sheriff and learn more, but are met with a chilly reception due to the fact that they are working for the US government. but we see the dead guy's sister and she is very pretty as well as an old man that mulder talks to about shapeshifting.
"i want to believe" <- HE SAID THE LINE!!!!!
when they go to check the guy's body, mulder gets on the ground and opens the deceased's mouth to reveal: he has fangs!!!!!!!! which is probably the first time mulder looking in a dead guy's mouth has found anything useful! but certainly not the last.
at this point scully is weirded tf out because like. he knew to look for the skin AND jumped straight to the dead guy's teeth and she says mulder, you had best tell me what is going on right NOW. and we get a lore reveal!!! he knows all this because a similar case was the... drumroll please...
VERY! FIRST! X-FILE!!!!!
everyone cheered and clapped and pointed at the screen.
everyone EXCEPT scully, that is. because she is pissed that he would propose people can turn into animals. she got so mad that she got out of the car and left. this reaction is likely why mulder did not tell her about his hunch in the first place, but really can you blame her? she is a doctor. that profession is too busy to deal with werewolves.
they had giant umbrellas in almost every scene of this episode. oh, to be tromping around the pacific northwest adjacent era, hunting for clues in the rain... how atmospheric!
scully says she's very sorry to the murdered man's sister. not much to note here beyond that it was a kind thing to do.
there's a scene where someone turns into a wolf creature and pummels mark twain man and it looked remarkably similar to the attack my werewolf character in skyrim performs, which made me laugh. the "lunge and rip the person apart" technique must be universal to werewolf media across the land.
scully finds mark twain guy's son hurt in a field and takes him to the hospital! that was very kind of her but: i don't like it when our duo splits up. i enjoy their codependency.
but oh no!! things are not looking good for our murdered man's sister, who has since gone missing. did she do it....? (spoilers: nah she's innocent)
i felt very bad for the scraggly guy scully found in the middle of a field, who seem to thought that he somehow triggered his father's death. scully says she knows how it feels because she just lost her dad and holds his hand as he cries. scully :(((((((((
so then mulder and the sheriff visit an elder who explains the myth of the shapeshifter to them as one who is attacked and then attacks others, and cannot remember the trance they fall into. they refer to this as an Algonquin legend, and at first i was confused because the Algonquin live on the opposite side of north america, but the term can also refer to the entire language family that stretches across the continent. the more you know!
(regardless, the appropriation of Indigenous imagery as a form of horror entertainment by white folks is always gonna be Problematic and i do not excuse them of this crime)
but this is a sad kind of monster, in the x-files universe at least- one who doesn't know they are attacking others, which is a very compelling trope imo...
and we learn the kid had his father's blood in him, which can only happen if he ate his dad... which means...
OH NO! HE'S GONNA EAT SCULLY!
(actually i will copy my notes verbatim here, which i wrote while she drove him home, then continued writing as she tried to help him out while he was acting weird and locked himself in the bathroom)
"NOOO THE KID IS THE EVIL FELLOW AND SCULLY IS DRIVING HIM HOME this is what being a doctor gets you ohhh poor kid and poor scully she just wants to do her doctor duties and she'll pick the damn lock if she needs to that's doctorly dedication NOOOO HE'S GONNA EAT HER NOOOO NOT IN SEASON ONE WE HAVE SO MANY MORE TO GET TO"
wow, i think that says a lot. feel free to unpack that at a later time.
anyway, mulder realizes what is going on and he shows up with the sheriff guns blazing. like seriously, he SHOOTS the taxidermied bear i had earlier said "roaaaaar" to. the head is blown clean off. he was NOT going to let scully get eaten.
finally during his search of the ranch, he opens a door and she's hiding in there. they fall on top of each other and she says "it's okay, it's me, it's okay" and. man. the whispering. the need to be at each other's side in the face of imminent danger. the relief of those hushed words. it's okay. it's me. they're together again and they can face this Thing as a united front. ohhhhhhh hold me tight.
the sheriff shoots the mysterious creature and surprise! it turns into the guy who had been previously found naked in a field and accused of eating his father.
scully is deeply perplexed by all of this. she does not know what to think, for a mere 24-ish hours ago she was talking about how a human cannot become an animal! another instance of her central beliefs being shaken to the core.
before they leave, the old man yells to mulder "see you in about 8 years" referring to the cyclical nature of the attacks. and he says "i hope not"... how very ominous... i will certainly keep this in mind for future seasons
i thought the suspense in this episode was really good and i knew deep down she wasn't really going to be eaten, but i was still scared, so it certainly did its job in that regard. overall, not my fave episode though for cultural appropriation reasons- hint to those reading: Don't profit off of bastardizing Indigenous belief systems.
they did serve with those goth black umbrellas, though, i'll give them that.
