Inspected an apartment rental today that was $500 pw, looked like it should be $200 pw if this was 5 years ago, and was furnished with a framed psalm verse from the bible. We are in strange times.

'Depends on the Wagon' liveblog!
I saw someone do timestamps in their liveblog and it was absolutely lovely, so I think I'll try that too
1:55 why does Curtain sound like an mlm ceo LMAO
2:07 WOW ASSHOLE 😂😂 waving off your own teacher when he was complimenting you is not the vibe
2:17 so Dr. Curtian is only available through chain emails. Got it.
2:27 he seems like the kind of asshole to say that people on welfare are lazy and exploitave but then like, not pay his taxes
2:42 I DON'T LIKE HOW HE SAID THAT, THAT WAS CREEPY
2:47 oooooh Constance, always asking the right questions
3:05 Kate, why are you yelling, it's literally past curfew 😂
3:35 oh hai Jackson.. gtfo
4:22 oh yeah, the best way out is through the hallway that Jackson just entered. Good plane, babe.
4:25 soooo Kate Depending On Friends arc :)
4:59 AYYY HI RHONDA!!
5:13 why do I kinda fucking love then all deciphering the Morse code together
5:20 so the kids use the gemini riddle? Not the adults???
5:36 his face when he figures it out 😭😭😭
5:46 Nathaniel? Guess that's Dr. Curtain's name now. Less ridiculous than Ledroptha, but you dont get the badass Let Drop the Curtain reference
6:53 okay so no one knew he had a brother? But he did???
7:21 his faaaace 🥺
7:29 AWWW HE COULDNT BRING HIMSELF TO SHARE 😭😭😭 okay I'm kinda on board with the change if they can make it work in the long-haul
7:42 hi Milligan, good timing 😂
7:56 "not the time.........I'll take a dozen" Number Two my LOVE
8:23 interesting. I dont think Mr. Benedict was adopted in the books? He certainly didn't let Violet's family, the Hopefields, because he knew their financial troubles would be even worse. So who?
8:54 ohhhh dear, stages of grief at work. Maybe don't do that
9:05 I talked about this in the MBS discord server, but I think the show is really nailing Mr. Benedict's feelings. He's always been an emotional person, but he has to be so careful. Bottling up your feelings only leads to bigger feelings later. It makes so much sense for Mr. Benedict to be a whirlpool of strong, repressed emotions.
9:11 MILLIGAN'S FACE JAHAHS
9:34 RHONDA'S FACE HAGSKDGDJ
9:40 Mr. Benedict, sweetheart 🥺❤
10:01 "brothers stick together" why does it sound like he's talking about Reynie here 😭😭😭😭
10:12 that is a good ass point, Mr. Benedict already lied to them once
10:21 it makes sense for Sticky to be the one questioning the most because of his anxiety, but damn
10:46 AWWWWWW
10:56 KATE MAKING A BED FORT KATE MAKING A BED FORT KATE MAKING A BED FORT
11:00 I dont like how aggressive Kate is but it makes sense considering she's been in the circus for years, taking care of herself for far longer than she hasn't. She's not good at depending on people, and she's not good with difficult people.
11:10 Yeahh, Constance gets it!
11:40 Yeahhh, Constance gets it
12:55 that teacher seemed pretty nice last episode, nice to see that they're not what they seem just the same as Dr. Curtain lol
13:28 CONSTANCE I LOVE YOU 😂😂
14:00 "check again" okay so Krista from the tests and Martina give off the same vibe.. perfect 😂
14:16 "yeah......hang in there :D"
15:05 all of the apologies to the general class.. he's such an anxious sweetheart. He's really reading as autistic to me.
My sister just called me 😑 it's like 8 am, I answered her like "did you ever consider that you might be waking me up?" She did not consider that 😂
15:22 Martina's face just growing more and more annoyed and disgruntled HAHA
15:29 that was CORRECT?? WHAAAA
15:51 throwback to when I compared Dr. Curtain to an mlm ceo.. definitely like a cult
16:44 ohhhh Martina
17:30 CONSTANCE HEARING VOICES HELLOOOOO
18:22 ayyyyyy helper man
18:40 he seems too cheery to be a helper .-. The helpers all being super sad made [redacted]'s story make a whole lot more sense
19:35 aaaand now we get to it. You know, it really does seem a lot more cultish on screen than in the book
19:53 WAIT CONSTANCE GOOD JOB PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER 😂😂😂😂
19:53 that cut to Milligan making that exact face was INCREDIBLE
20:05 was he tryna leave? Yeah, good fuckin luck bucko
20:10 "critical papers at home" my ass, they packed everything up
20:24 the stages of grief back at it. 🥺
20:38 their relationship >>>>
21:00 "located in the..?" *description of envelope* "located in the....?" *more description* "located in the????" 😂😂😂😂
21:34 ohhhhh Thursday must be the student ranking day
21:56 Martina seems like the kind to throw out "pick a god and pray" as a crit quote 😂
22:07 I don't see any of the Society'a names on the list. Maybe they havent been there long enough
22:17 OH SHIT JK THERE THEY ARE
22:25 ohh Kate and Constance
22:55 the combination of the ferry horn and the bell makes it weirdly grim
23:55 them bringing Kate up and reminding her that she's needed 😌✨
24:29 hi Milligan bb ilyyyy
24:35 real good lookout guys, y'all are so well hidden
24:52 AYY HE'S DOING IT KATE STYLE
26:31 "visionary" is a word for it
26:31 I really kinda love that Number Two and Rhonda are going to such depths to try and help Mr. Benedict figure this out for sure
26:56 Mr. Benedict fully walking away while they talk about his brothers accomplishments 😂 I'm laughing, but poor guy
27:08 his FACE 🥺
27:28 HERE'S THAT TANTRUM FROM THE TRAILER
27:28 take your guesses how many times will he fall asleep
27:50 "he just has to work through some things" you dont fuckin say
27:55 you mean to tell me he had a full blown meltdown and they didn't show him falling asleep once??
28:35 like father like daughter 😌✨
29:10 ayyyy secret desk compartment
29:19 honestly I'm surprised there were actually papers he needed and it wasnt an excuse to go confront Dr. Curtain
29:32 oh shit, how'd they manage to get that far inside? No one was there to guard it, but the maze itself is a security measure
29:42 KATE STYLE STRIKES AGAIN
29:47 ooooh I like Dr. Curtain's office
30:01 WAS THAT SQ AND DID HE JUST CALL DR. CURTAIN HIS DAD
30:41 birds have careers. Got it 😂
30:50 JOURNAAAL
31:02 the fox?? Reynard the fox???
31:27 ohhh here we go, Dr. Curtain sees himself in Reynie only to resent it later
31:37 Mr. Benedict called Reynie a leader once too.. the parallels have ✨begun✨
32:12 is this the "keep your enemies close" conversation??
32:15 I'm honestly surprised he called him Sticky and not George
32:42 IT IS SQ IT IS SQ IT IS SQ
32:59 sooo that starts by not letting his caution down with you
33:11 Dr. Curtain congratulating himself mid-conversation on saying something deep is so in character
33:20 "I was betrayed by someone very close to me" so that was Mr. Benedict. Who the fuck else would it be
33:23 WHAT DID I SAAAAY
33:31 oh noooo Reynie starts doubting Mr. Benedict here? Is that the move?
33:43 that transition was so pretty stoppp
33:53 again how hasn't he fallen asleep
34:55 ayyyy journal snooping
35:05 Constance, my love, you are cut throat
35:11 Milligan is in the DRYWALL? ohh buddy be careful
35:21 omfg are they talking about water polo 😂 I love that that's the sport of choice
35:51 ayyyy they put the Milligan dots together too. Shame the guy's not with them rn
36:36 so Mr. Benedict brings up cheating first? I really like how we get to see the adults riddling out what to send back, we didn't get that at all in the books
37:46 I LOVE THAT THEY KEPT "don't get caught"
38:51 Kate riddling out the island schematics engineer style is so like her
39:07 they're just walking out the door?? Huh???
39:29 babe... turn off your flashlight
39:33 AND THAT'S WHY
39:58 is that the precursor to chuckroot?
40:38 the papers were from his orphanage 🥺🥺🥺
41:14 why does that break my heart
41:19 Dr. Curtain and SQ doing shit together it just.. so heartwarming
42:00 HAHA
42:16 okay, so show!Curtain is a kissass 😂
42:35 wait wait wait so Dr. Curtain is actively trying to contain his brother? That would explain why the Recruiters were looking for him and weirdly not the kids
43:25 "power wants to be free" sounds more like a personal mantra than a conversation between engineers
43:41 YES A LETTER TO MISS PERUMAL
44:02 more voices. Poor Connie girl 🥺
44:36 he loves her so much 😭😭😭
44:45 SHE TRIED TO SEND HIM A CARE PACKAGE
45:13 WORRIED MOM TIMEEE

Heyyy, I'm recently obsessing over tallships and was wondering what kind of jobs most people actually do on board? Does everyone do a bit of everything or are some people dedicated to maintenance and others to helping sailing and etc? How much time do you spend working a day and does everyone work all at once or is there a night shift? Sorry for the volume of the question but I'm really interested in this rn
Hi! This got pretty long, so it’s under a cut!
Generally everyone does pre- and post-season maintenance: sanding, painting, varnishing, oiling, cleaning, and all the other work that goes into keeping the ship looking nice, plus any other projects that need working on. Once the sailing season proper begins, the crew has more specific roles, which can vary by ship. In short yes - there are some positions that mostly deal with actually sailing and some (which not every boat has) that mostly maintain certain things (rigging, engine), with overlap depending on how the boat is run, what it does, and the size of the crew and ship. In general, the breakdown of positions/tasks is:
messmate: cook’s assistant and assistant deckhand (so only available on ships out for days at a time, which need ship’s cooks). typically this means meal prep, dishwashing, cleaning the galley, making snacks/coffee/salads/other small dishes, and setting tables, plus on-deck work like helping to tack sails and other odd jobs. entry-level position, since anyone can wash dishes and in the meantime you can shadow the deckhands and learn more sailing-specific things.
deckhand: the manual labor of sailing the boat. washing the deck, hauling, setting, and tending the sails, coiling lines, helping passengers board and disembark, rowing passengers to and from the ship in small boats, raising and dropping the anchor, standing watch, training new deckhands, time at the helm when on deliveries. can be an entry-level position, especially on ships that mostly do day-sails rather than overnights, but deckhands can also be highly skilled.
first mate (and second/third mate maybe??? I have only worked on ships with a first mate lol): in charge immediately following the captain. all the work of a deckhand plus additional responsibilities, among them training new deckhands, radio operation, driving the yaul boat, time at the helm, etc.
ship’s cook: fairly self explanatory. cooking three meals a day for the passengers and crew. because this is a lot of work, it’s almost always supplemented by a messmate. the cook (at least the ones I worked with) washed pots and pans themselves, in addition to cooking, and lit the woodstove early in the morning/tended it throughout the day.
engineer: also self-explanatory. dealing with the boat’s diesel engine and marine systems. not every boat employs an engineer; on the ones I’ve worked on, the captain and mate are usually the ones taking care of the engine.
bosun: care of everything above deck - maintaining and repairing the traditional rigging and sails. like above, not every boat employs one; often the captain, mate, and deckhands do this work.
captain: I mean. you know what a captain does. makes the decisions, charts the course, gives the orders, makes every important call.
How much time do you work a day? This also varies by boat; I’ll break down a typical day on some boats I’ve worked on below. I should say, though that, on windjammers particularly (the ships that go out for days at a time) the days seem extremely long mostly because you live entirely on board - there’s no strict work/home divide, it’s all the same, so although you’re responsible for passenger’s welfare the entire day you’re not doing hard physical labor for all 17 hours you’re awake - there’s time for meals, and usually a bit of downtime.
Unless you’re on deliveries (taking a boat from point A to point B without passengers), there’s no overnight shift, just a rotating overnight anchor watch. The majority of the work, like raising the sails, is time-sensitive rather than ongoing, so the crew generally keeps the same schedule.
on the windjammer I started on, as a messmate - turn to at 6:30 to make coffee, breakfast prep, cleaning breakfast dishes, lunch prep, cleaning lunch dishes, two hours or so of free time, making an afternoon snack, dinner prep, dinner dishes, clean the galley, and then I was off-duty by ~8:30 depending on how long that took. usually about 1 day off a week (trips were anywhere from 3-6 days long, and the day off was usually between trips. passengers would disembark around 10am, the whole ship would be cleaned inside and out until about 2pm, and then you had until 11pm the next night)
on the same windjammer as a deckhand - turn to at 6:30 to wash the deck and polish brass, raise anchor, set sails, hang out on deck tending sails while we were under way, striking sails and dropping anchor mid-afternoon, some days rowing passengers to shore and back), usually done with deckhand work by dinnertime. night watch shifts. the deckhands rotated who had ‘duty’, which was all the smaller chores - raising and lowering flags, lighting and stowing lanterns, cleaning the head, standing first watch, tending the little wood stove at night in the fall. if you were on duty then you were up at 6am, and off watch at 11am, every three days. also about 1 day off a week (if you were on duty, you had to be on board at 5pm the next night, to help the next round of passengers board, show them around the boat, tell them about safety features, etc).
deckhand on a day sailor (ship taking multiple small trips a day) - turn to at 9:30 to get the boat ready for the day - washing the deck, raising flags, cleaning the heads, etc. 4 2-hour sails with 30 min between each - usually about 10 minutes of getting ready for the next sail and 20 min to eat a snack, get more water, etc. Last sail ends at 8 and by 8:30 - 9 the boat is put to bed (sails furled, another deck wash, all that. With a crew that knows what they’re doing I’ve had nights where we were done by 8:15). On average 4 days of work, 3 days off, usually in a block.
deckhand on a different day sailor- turn to at 11am, maintenance until 2, getting the boat ready for a sail for another hour or two, then either and afternoon and sunset sail or just a sunset sail, then putting the boat to bed, done by 9ish? (I can’t remember exactly lol but around there, I think). Days off rotated, so I was off every third day.
deckhand during a delivery (taking the boat point A to point B, with no passengers). Time doesn’t matter. You have a watch group (usually 1/3 of the crew) and a watch schedule - I have experienced 4 hours on, 8 hours off, and 2 hours on, 4 hours off. When you’re on watch you’re at the helm, keeping the ship on course, changing the sails to best use the wind, logging position and other info. When you’re not on watch you have free time (although sometimes each watch group cooks a meal a day, and if there’s an urgent situation you’re expected to be on deck and helping immediately).
As ever, this is subjective, based on my own experiences, but I hope this helps!

Can I make a request for a quick hc since I know your schedule is packed. Something like what would being steves so and tonys bff include. What sort of hijinks would they get up to?
Tumblr media
I’m sorry this took so long. I’m not sure I’m that good at these but here goes. lol
So you worked your way through the ranks of SHIELD quickly and did well enough to be added to the team of agents who supported the Avengers. Within a short period of time, you earned a place on some of the Avengers’ missions. Thanks to the matchmaking efforts of Natasha Romanoff and Sam Wilson, you began a relationship with Steve Rogers. Because of your technical background and natural sarcasm, you also made fast friends with Tony Stark.
Life was good, but it wasn’t always easy.
Steve is an amazing boyfriend who brings you flowers, pulls out chairs for you, and always treats you like a lady. Yeah, it’s old-fashioned and is in opposition to some of your “modern woman” ideals. But you really don’t mind.
Steve is an amazing boyfriend until it comes to two issues: missions he deems too dangerous (for you but the rest of the team could go) and Tony.
Steve is often at odds with himself. If a mission seems too dangerous, it put you in danger which worried him.
But if you stayed behind, Tony is retired, and your good friend. You got more time to spend with him. Steve isn’t proud of it, but he’s a little jealous.
Tony realizes Steve is jealous and has no problem doing things just to get a rise out of Steve.
The last mission Steve made you sit out, you ended up watching movies with Tony in his lab while he “worked” on his nanotech. (Meaning he was happy to watch movies and eat snacks with you. Pepper even brought you more snacks at one point because she gets that you’re just friends.)
Steve knew he’d find you in the lab. What he didn’t expect to find was the two of snuggled under a blanket with you halfway in Tony’s lap sleeping and Tony barely containing his glee at “riling the old man up.”
You kind of woke up when Steve complained to Tony about some of the tech on the mission. When Tony shot off smart-ass replies, the skirmish only grew.
You were certainly awake when Steve hauled you up over his shoulder. It pissed you off to be so rudely awakened and handled.
Until you got back to the suite you shared with Steve and you saw how pissed off he was. Missions always left him with leftover adrenaline and you ended up on the receiving end of that.
Steve stripped you and pushed you up against the living room wall, kissing you until you couldn’t breathe. When he kneeled before you, you thought he meant to tease you with his mouth. Right.
What he actually did was put your legs over his shoulder and pushed you up the wall, ensuring you weren’t going anywhere. Then he proceeded to eat you out until you came over and over, knowing most of the floor – including Tony – could probably hear you sing.
You weren’t steady on your feet when he placed you back on the floor. You didn’t need to be. Steve pushed you over the back of the couch and rode you hard, until you were screaming as your body clenched his cock when you came so hard you almost blacked out.
Once Steve came a couple of times, he relaxed. He carried you into your bedroom, cuddled up with you the way you liked after good sex. (More like Olympic event sex).
When FRIDAY’s voice broke in requesting a welfare check on you, you couldn’t help but laugh. Steve didn’t think it was funny.
Once in a while, Steve could get the best of Tony though.
The next mission you were allowed on. The one after that? You were staying home.
Instead of turning in early as he usually did the night before, Steve kept you. It was lovemaking and it was wonderful. Tender, loving. But it went on all night.
You were pretty sure Steve didn’t really sleep up until he got up at 5 the next morning for the mission.
He’s a super soldier. He can do that and go run a mission as he always does, barely showing fatigue.
Tony was expecting you to help in the lab that day to help with some adjustments to War Machine’s suit. When you weren’t there by 4 that evening, he got FRIDAY to do a welfare check. FRIDAY reported that you’d been in bed all day. Sleeping.
Tony’s a genius. It didn’t take him long to figure it out.
Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

After doing way too many summons on this gala without getting Gala Elly I’m just gonna quit while I’m ahead and start hoarding for the New Years banner, lol. And in the mean-time I’ll probably be skipping the Christmas banner so that kinda sucks but oh well.
Either way, I still got a whole bunch of new stuff in my gala summons, and also I have a lot of thoughts about the new This Month in DL post, so I’ll just put the rest of my thoughts under the cut.
I swear to god this gala was the most summons I’ve done on a banner without getting a focus unit, lmao. This must be punishment for me getting like three copies of Gala Euden last time. I think I did like 250 summons total, which included over 10 5-stars, but no Gala Elly. I may or may not end up caving to my temptations and grinding adventurer stories and hard mode campaign levels to try and summon more, but I should just quit while I’m ahead.
Either way, my haul of 5-stars, new and dupes, is:
-Gala Ranzal
-Wedding Elly
-Xanfried
-Lea
-Jeanne
-Chthonius
-Dupes of B-Zardin, Victor,  Sylas, Cassandra, Gala Sarisse, Shinobi, Vayu, and Long Long [x2]. I also got another dupe Shinobi from the 5-star dragon voucher thing they just gave us.
Let’s just say that I don’t know how to feel about wanting Gala Elly and then getting Gala Ranzal + Wedding Elly, lmao. At least they’re both new units for me. Though it feels doubly bad that I got Gala Ranzal, 45MC’d him, and then almost immediately afterward I got Wedding Elly. Welp. I’m a Noelle main in eHMC anyway so it’s not a huge deal. But it’s nice to get my wind roster fleshed out more.
I’m honestly really happy about getting Xanfried, and it more or less makes up for not getting Gala Elly. He was one of those 5-stars who I was vaguely tempted to dream summon because it was bugging me that I still didn’t have him. Now I think the only launch 5-star I don’t have is Hildegarde.
I’m also happy about getting Lea, even if she isn’t a great unit and I have like six other flame swords. I really like her whole design aesthetic.
I don’t really care much about the new 5-star dragons I got, but they’re nice to have. The Long Long dupes are nice, though, since now I have a nearly MUB one for my Lin You.
Oh and I got regular Aeleen as well, and she was the last non-limited 4-star I needed to get, so that’s cool.
We’ve known about the next banner for a while because of datamines, but either way, I feel a little bit salty that the new 5-star is literally just Thaniel But Better [tm], lol. If it weren’t for the fact that Chocolatiers is a limited print, I’d say that she wouldn’t even be worth it when Thaniel’s a more accessible option who works just fine in HBH because the whole fight is literally tuned around his kit since until now he’s been the only real healer for it. I hope this doesn’t lead to people acting like Thaniel’s not good enough for eHBH anymore once Jiang Ziya comes out. I’ve invested way too much into him to switch. I did recently craft the HDT water spear, and I can use my H-Maritimus on Elly if I want to use her in eHBH, but I still want to stick to Thaniel.
And on that note my H-Maritimus is at 2UB, and between the sunlight stone we’ll get soon from the Megaman event, and the dragons I have at nearly max bond level, he’ll probably be MUB soon, which should push my Thaniel above 7k might, which will be great. He’s currently at about 6,850 might, between him having +200 augments, Chocolatiers at +190 augments, a MUB HDT1 water staff, etc etc. And we’re gonna be getting the Christmas event facility again soon so that’ll boost him up even further.
Also I’m really not interested in the new dragon since he’s just water Hastur and I don’t care about that at all, lol. Durant seems cool but I already have a 50MC Natalie, and he’s a 4-star so he’d be easy enough to get off-banner anyway.
I’m gonna probably skip the Christmas banner since I went all in on this gala and I want to save for the New Years banner. And since it looks like the Christmas banner will be in just a week or so, I won’t exactly have many resources saved up by that point anyway. I’m not really interested in any of the existing Christmas alts, though, so it’d probably be an easy skip anyway, unless the new ones really interest me.
I hope that them doing the Christmas rerun stuff earlier in the month than I expected means we might get a Christmas-themed raid event afterward, but I won’t get my hopes up. I think we’re due for a new raid event anyway, but that’ll probably be what the New Years event is anyway, I guess.
I’m curious to see how they handle the New Years stuff, since it’d feel weird to rerun the Ieyasu event/banner, with how that was themed around the current zodiac year. I think we’ll just get a new event with new units, and probably a new welfare unit along with the event itself. With how good Ieyasu was [and how salty I still am about not having him], I think it’ll be worth saving for that.
Though considering that the next story chapter is gonna apparently be Luca-focused, I’m guessing the January gala unit will be Gala Luca, who I’d be extremely interested in, so that’s another thing to worry about saving for, lol.
And on that note we’re getting Chapter 11 in about two weeks, and even though we got more or less the same teaser description for it as last time, we at least have a better look at the two new android characters. Even though they’re gonna be antagonists I still kinda hope we can get them as playable units some day.
We also got more info on the new endgame boss mode, and even though I still want more specific details about it, my current guess is that it’s basically going to be High IO. It’ll probably be themed around there being new android military squads to fight against, with the new bosses being their leaders or whatever. It’d be fun to get some genuinely difficult wave-based content, but it’d also be great if it means we can get facility upgrade materials a lot faster.
The reveal of the new mode being called The Agito Uprising also more or less confirms that rumour that’s been going around for a while, which also talked about how the Christmas banner would include a new Christmas Phoenix alt, that the new endgame bosses would drop 6-star weapons, that we’ll get a Monster Hunter collab in February, and that Mikoto, Ezelith, Naveed, and Xanfried will be at least some of the first units to get their sixth mana circle upgrades.
I’m honestly kinda happy to hear about Christmas Phoenix since that makes it more likely that the Christmas banner will be an easy skip for me, lmao. But anyway, I really wouldn’t be surprised to see the Agito Uprising bosses dropping weapons that are roughly between 5t3s and HDT weapons in power. we really need something like that to ease the transition into the eHDT cycle. I’ve basically given up on getting into eHJP/eHZD until something along those lines happens to make them more accessible, lol.
I still have a lot of questions about how the whole sixth mana circle upgrade thing will work, and sadly this didn’t really tell us anything new, but they at least said that they’re aware of how limited the pool of units used in endgame content is, and that they’ll try and make changes to make more units viable for that, so that’ll probably be the main point of the sixth mana circles. I have a feeling that only 5-star units will end up getting them, which would kinda suck. There’s a lot of 5-stars who need an upgrade, but there’s also a lot of other units who need an upgrade too.
They did mention that they’ll be doing something with 3-star units in general, though, so I’m really curious about that. I really really want them to rebalance 3-star units so that they all have 100% on-element status resistances. I could take or leave anything else, but they really need that sort of buff. There’s no real point to holding back a unit by giving them incomplete or off-element status resistances. Which also applies to welfare 4-stars. For example, my Xania would be way more viable in eHMS if she can get to 100% stun res without needing a print, and it’d just be great in general if Vixel could get an actually relevant status resistance for his element. I have a feeling they won’t change anything else about their kits, but even just that’d be nice.
My realistic prediction for what the sixth mana circle upgrades will actually include is that it’ll more or less just be more of what we already have with the current ones. It’ll probably just be a few flat stat upgrades, maybe some more coability node upgrades, and one or two upgrades to the skills/abilities of each unit. At the very least I think that units will get a third upgrade to their S2, since those only go up to two upgrade tiers whereas every unit gets three tiers to their S1. And there’s a lot they could do to improve units by buffing and adding stuff to their S2s. For example, Thaniel would really benefit from getting a regen heal added to his S2, but Jiang Ziya existing makes me think they’re just forgetting about Thaniel for good. I can’t really think of what they could do with any of the 5-stars, though. It’s possible but less likely that some units might also get upgrades to one of their abilities, but that’s a bit more uncertain than them getting skill upgrades, if only because there’s a lot of ability types that you just can’t upgrade at all, like 100% status resistance or skill prep abilities.
It’d be really nice if they changed the second ability of 3-stars to 100% status resistance and gave them something entirely new for their third ability, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just buff the 25% status resistance abilities of those units to 50% status resistance.
Also, we got more details about how we’re getting higher-level void battles added, and higher difficulties added to the void dragons, which I think is a necessary addition in order to help bridge the gap toward endgame content. As it is now, void battles aren’t really worth doing outside of endeavors. But it’s also nice that they’ve added augments to the void dragons and stuff.
In general they’d been making a lot of steps toward easing the progression toward endgame content, especially with the other changes they made to Avenue to Fortune, and them also adding augments to HDT drops. It’s nice that they’re aware of the issue of how steep the progression curve is right now, but it also really makes it clear that it’s a genuine problem that they’re currently being stuck trying to fix. I don’t really blame them for it, though. These things happen with games like this. I’m just glad that they’re actually addressing it instead of leaving it unchanged.
It’ll sadly take a while for them to add all of the new void bosses on the same tier as the Volcanic Chimera, but it’ll be nice to eventually have more accessible options to get into other eHDTs and stuff.
Anyway a whole bunch has been going on lately and I think it’s on a good track. Honestly my biggest issue right now is that since they changed the UI I keep clicking the wrong buttons when I’m trying to go between menus, lmao.
Oh and yeah the Megaman event is a thing that’s happening. There’s really not a lot to say about it because it’s so barebones and gameplay-focused, but it’s fun, and I like how much they’re leaning into the aesthetic of it. Megaman himself is a really goddamn weird unit, though. I like how much he’s apparently designed to play like he’s in an actual Megaman game, but it’s a weird playstyle to get used to for this game. And I still prefer Xania as a flame wand, lol.

9x02: Devil May Care
Then:
Tumblr media
Ezekiel is totes on the up and up helping out the Brothers Winchester.
Now:
Dean fills Sam in on where Cas is (far away and human and without wings or money or ANYTHING and they’re not going to pick him up. GOD, do I love Supernatural post-season 11 SO MUCH.)
Tumblr media
I mean, I guess the brothers have to worry about all the fallen angels out there (heaven forbid you include a FORMER ANGEL in on the mix!) They also have Crowley captured and as Dean so eloquently puts it, “He’s the junk in my truck.” (Lol, not until season 10, buddy!)
In an old, abandoned house, a demon performs a spell over a bathtub and out pops Abaddon!
Tumblr media
Dean comes back to the bunker to a seriously freaked out Kevin. He’s been alone for too long. The bunker was acting weird when the brothers were gone. Dean fills him in on what’s happening. Dean is just a jerk here, wtf? I know he’s under some stress but let’s be nicer to the poor kid prophet, at least.
The brothers haul Crowley to the dungeon. They want demon names. He’s not going to cooperate. Torture isn’t going to work.
Tumblr media
Kevin demands to know why Crowley is there. He killed his mom. Dean promises that if Crowley gives them what they want, they’ll let Kevin knife him in the end.
Abaddon starts to build her faction of demons. She finds Crowley’s level of leadership to be lacking. “The king is dead. Long live the queen.” And with that Abaddon is going to lead Hell.
Tumblr media
Dean tells another hunter about the fallen angels and tells him to pass it on.
Meanwhile, Abaddon is fulfilling one of her first goals, getting better vessels for demons. Her first recruits possess some army dudes on a bus.
On the side of the road, a woman looks over the engine of her broken car. A man in a van pulls up and offers her a ride into town. She gladly accepts (BECAUSE THAT’S A SMART MOVE). Bonus on the gross predator man? He’s also a vampire. But the young woman is a hunter and dispatches him with ease.
Tumblr media
She’s captured by the army demons though. Wherps.
Dean and Sam arrive at the bus. They get a little pushback about investigating —it’s a military case, not a federal one. They have their supervisor, Kevin Solo, give the go ahead. Kevin does his own little investigation and the boys get their clearance.
Once inside the bus, they find the wounds on the dead bodies to be old. Demons. They also find surveillance video of Abaddon.
Abaddon has the other hunter in custody, and she wants answers about Sam and Dean. She gets Dean’s number and Kevin answers. She tells him that she has hunters in her clutches. She’s going to kill them if they don’t come for them.
Tumblr media
Sam and Dean task Kevin on learning everything about Knights of Hell and they head to rescue the other hunters.
Crowley continues to sit in the dungeon, reflecting on his brush with being cured and human again. Kevin walks into the storage room by the dungeon. Crowley starts taunting him and Kevin opens the doors.
Sam and Dean find a ghost town. Quick! Somebody find Dean a long coat and a cowboy hat!
Tumblr media
They find the hunters trussed up in one of the abandoned shops. Tracy seems nice and would make a great Wayward Sister JUST SAYIN’.
Crowley does what he does best and starts to twist Kevin around his finger. He implies heavily that Kevin’s mother isn’t actually dead.
The Winchesters and their hunter buddies set up for Abaddon’s assault as the army-demons approach. The demons get tricked by the old phone-playing-a-recording trick, buying the hunters a little time to sneak out the back. We learn that Tracy is NOT looking to be BFFs with the Winchesters. Her parents were killed by demons throwing a party commemorating Sam’s release of Lucifer. Uh. Whoops?
Tumblr media
Crowley lays out his bargain: if Kevin frees him, he gets his mother back (she’s imprisoned, not dead). Kevin can’t help but listen to it all, including Crowley’s assertion that the Winchesters don’t care about Kevin beyond his usefulness. And honestly at this part of season 9 I gotta say that Crowley has a point.
The hunting parties split up. Dean defends his brother to Tracy. “You gotta know who the real monsters are in this world, kid.” Sam and Irv approach the demons. Irv confesses that he revealed the identities of a bunch of hunters to Abaddon one sad, drunk night. He’s looking to go out in a blaze of glory. His confession earns a shot through the heart from a demon sniper.
Sam gets knocked down by demons and on the other side of the stakeout, Dean gets chucked to the ground by Abaddon.
Tumblr media
Tracy fires at the knight of Hell but Abaddon’s suited up with a bullet-proof vest to defend against devil’s trap bullets. Dean sends Tracy to his car for a resupply, then gets ready for a heart to heart with Abaddon, angel blade in hand.
Sam continues to have a no good very bad day, up against the rest of the demons. (Don’t worry, he’s Sam Fucking Winchester, so we’re good.) Abaddon gets a good hold on Dean by the hair (BRB off to write some Abaddon/Dean fanfic!) and compliments him on being obedient AND “suicidally stupid.”
“Are we gonna fight or make out?” Dean asks, “‘Cause I'm getting some real mixed signals here.”
Tumblr media
Abaddon wants Crowley on a plate and she’ll kill Dean quick. OR she’ll peel off Dean’s tattoo and possess his ass. She taunts him with all the horrors she’ll inflict on others while possessing him - and making sure he’s aware of every last bit.
Sam’s doing poorly. Apparently he forgot his middle name at home that morning (the trials are still affecting him, poor lamb). But not to fear! Ezekiel pushes his way forward and Sam’s eyes flash blue. It’s time to smite some demons. (LOL remember when angels were super powerful creatures that everyone feared and nobody could kill? Those were good times.)
Tumblr media
Abaddon witnesses the angelic explosion, chucks Dean through a shop window, and disappears.
Back at the diner, Ezekiel surveys his demon-killing work and defends his smiting to Dean. He was only protecting Sam. Dean looks like a spooked cat talking to him.
Tumblr media
Ezekiel insists that Sam is fine and won’t remember anything. Dean feels regrets about...everything. (It is his number one personality trait.) Maybe they should have closed Hell - all the demons running around the world are his fault because he wanted to save his brother instead. Ezekiel (Dean: “I’m gonna call you Zeke.”) insists that Dean did it out of love. Dean stops looking like a scared cat and starts blustering instead. “I'm not really with the whole, uh, love, and... love.” DEAN BEAN. (Praise to season 14!)
A little bit later, Dean packs up weapons in the diner while Sam wakes up. He tells Sam that he killed all the demons and Sam’s shocked. “You killed three demons? Alone?” LOL season nine! Tracy pulls up with Baby and DAMN GIRL you got to drive her. She checks on Sam’s welfare in a reasonably friendly manner. Dean, you won her over with the power of FRIENDSHIP! (Shut up, I have not seen too much My Little Pony.)
Tumblr media
The Winchesters arrive at the bunker with some booze and a bucket of chicken. They call for Kevin immediately and when he doesn’t answer they race down to the dungeon. They find a very pissed off and somewhat bloody Crowley. Crowley immediately offers up names of demons and gives them a deal - they scratch his back, he scratches theirs. But the first demon names are because playing with Kevin was so much fun for him. “Wind him up, watch him go.” Dean races upstairs to find Kevin walking out of the bunker. To convince Kevin to stay, Dean delivers such compelling arguments as:
Crowley lies
If Kevin’s mom is alive, then she might as well be dead
It’s dangerous outside the bunker
They need him
Oooof Dean. Not a winning argument, there. Kevin jumps on the last point.
Tumblr media
Dean insists that they need Kevin because he’s family and they’d die for him. He successfully talks Kevin into staying and meets up with Sam. Sam’s reflecting on Tracy’s dislike of him. Dean tells Sam that he’s done more good than bad. “Here’s to now,” Dean says. The bold future!
“The fallen angels?” Sam asks. “Abaddon? Cas losing his halo, Crowley in our basement?”
“Crap. We're living in a freaking sitcom,” Dean says. UH I would watch the HELL out of that show.
Sam decides that he’s feeling good and life is good. I’m so glad to see Sam in such a healthy place! Thank goodness both Winchesters are in a good mental state. LOL, kidding, Dean drinks his feelings as the episode fades to black.

alright, today was actually a pretty good day! Woke up to my alarm at 8:30, and the first thing I did was take the stick of butter out of the fridge and stick it on the counter so it would be soft when I had to butter my bagel like half an hour later from there I started getting ready, suit and make up and all that. The make up presented a small issue because I’m fairly sure I left my make up bag which had the products I had been using on a regular basis in it in New York but thankfully I happen to own a shit more products (I used to be a lot more into make up than I am now, but to be fair half of it is stage make up stuff) so I hauled out my giant make up box and picked my best replacements, and I was actually pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Once I got all that done and ready to go I buttered my bagel and ate it before getting an uber downtown. Uber driver was nice, we chatted about the weather and jobs and all that fun stuff. I got dropped off at the building at 10, so exactly an hour before the interview, which was perfect. there was a Starbucks in the actual building which was super convenient, so I went in there and chilled out for a bit. Usually like 20 minutes before the interview time I go to the bathroom to make sure everything’s in place with my make up and suit and generally look presentable, but this Starbucks didn’t have a bathroom and there was no public one to use in the building. well crap. I go next door to the 7-11 and ask if they had one I could use if I bought something, but they said they didn’t have one for public use, but said I could try the rather nice looking restaurant across the street. so I run over there slightly panicked at this point because I wanted to make sure I was good to go and not be late for the interview, so I walk in, of course it’s a Thursday morning so there’s only a couple people there, and the host comes over and I was just like “I have a job interview across the street, is there any chance I could use your bathroom to make sure I’m good to go?” and he was like “yes of course!” and gave me directions to get there, and then I was also helped by staff at the (nice) hotel it was attached to (to the point where they were like “boys, show this young lady where the bathroom is please” to the two young guys working there) and I was just like damn this is all so nice, usually it’s difficult to get a restroom to use downtown, but as grateful as I was for their kindness (and I’m of course not bashing them in any way or saying they did anything wrong) but I had the feeling in the back of my mind that if I hadn’t been a young white woman dressed in a fancy business suit, I probably would not have gotten the same reaction. The reason a lot of places won’t have public bathrooms is because they don’t want the homeless to come in and use them (which is of course a whole issue unto itself on how we treat the less fortunate and dehumanize them in our society) so it was just kind of a moment for me to reflect and make sure I realize that my experience with these sorts of things isn’t universal, and just because I didn’t personally experience something doesn’t mean it’s not the reality for others. So it was a good reminder for me to be aware of my privilege and not dismiss the concerns of others just because I didn’t share them. But anyway, I used the bathroom and made sure I was good to go, said thank you again on the way out and headed over to the building and up to the 18th floor where the interview was. When I came up to the door that had their suite number and name plaque outside it was just a wooden door, not the glass reception doors a lot of places have in the front, so I kinda hesitantly opened the door and it definitely looked like the back entrance, so I was like “did I come in the wrong door??” but the paralegal was just like “you’re Rachel? come on in” and led me to a conference room so that was easily resolved. The guy was finishing a call and joined me a few minutes later. He basically opened by being like “so I read through all your stuff and it seemed pretty clear to me that you entered law school with a pretty narrow focus of wanting to work with kids and put in a lot of work towards that, but then the job market tends to force you to look elsewhere for work” and explained the same thing happened to him where he wanted to go into health law but there were no jobs and he ended up going into a different field entirely. and honestly like, him just acknowledging that off the bat rather than asking me why I wanted to work in this field and me having to come up with some flimsy answer immediately put me at ease and made me feel a lot more comfortable. He went on to say that there are of course transferable skills, and the main one here would be helping people in vulnerable situations, which is what I’ve wanted to do by getting into law in the first place (it just can vary who exactly we’re helping) and we proceeded to talk about my experiences at the DV clinic and in child welfare when it came to dealing with clients around sensitive subjects and we honestly just had like a really good conversation about it and I feel like we really connected. After we’d gone through most of that he started telling me about the main business they handle, I had done some internet research on the firm so I had a basic idea, but basically they handle suits brought by production companies against private citizens who may have downloaded movies or other media off the internet illegally (so moral of the story here kids is don’t download shit off the internet illegally because it can get you sued to the tune of $2,000-$5,000) and a lot of time it’s like, someone’s teenager or sometimes it’s just completely inaccurate and they didn’t do anything at all, so we’re basically defending against those suits, and of course that’s often people in vulnerable situations who don’t have a couple thousand bucks to spare to deal with a lawsuit they never saw coming, and that’s definitely something I can get behind. It did say that sometimes it’s porn companies that are suing 😂 which I’m sure my parents would be thrilled to hear about, but hey, at least we’re not representing the porn company, just the user 😂😂😂. He was actually telling me about a situation where the company was putting their own content on the internet to be downloaded and then suing people for downloading it, at which point I was like OH THIS WAS THE PLOT FOR AN EPISODE OF THE GOOD WIFE like exactly so apparently that was based on a real company who ended up getting indicted for doing so because that’s a, hella illegal. When he asked if I had any questions my first one was about expectations on hours, because the last few firms I’ve interviewed with have made it very clear that they expect way more than 40 hours a week, meaning staying late every day and often working weekends and like....I can’t do that lol, even if my body could put up with that (which I seriously doubt it could) my mental health would take such a nosedive without being able to have like any social interaction with my friends. so while this whole interview is going well I had in the back of my mind that if the hours expectation is bad that could screw this all over, but thankfully he was like yeah, our office hours are 9 to 5:30 and we pretty much stick to that, if you have something to finish sure you might stay late a few nights but that’s not the normal and definitely not working weekends, at which point I just let out the biggest sigh of relief lol I was like you have no idea how good it is to hear that 😂 and of course I made clear I’m totally ok with staying late sometimes during the week if there's stuff to get done, but having my weekends to rest and recharge is important, and he was like “yeah I totally agree, I’m the same way” so that was a huge relief. I asked a little about the other less popular side of his practice which was based on drones and aviation law, he was an alum of my law school which happens to be one of the best schools in the country for aviation law (not that I did jackshit related to it when I was there, but I can still use that to my advantage) so he explained it was mostly commercial stuff, definitely nothing government wise which was relieving lol. and yeah that was about it, overall I felt like it went really well and it could be a really good fit, so I was happy! Once I got outside I considered doing public transit home but it was cold and getting to any public transit would involve a bit of a walk, so I decided to just do an uber pool which ended up taking like 10 minutes to get to me, but still better than public transit. once I got home I chilled out for a bit listening to podcasts while trying to assemble my new podcast mic, which thankfully worked very well, before deciding to start on my taxes, which my plan to handle up to that point had been go to TurboTax and go from there, and thankfully that ended up being enough of a plan, it was pretty easy because I only made a fairly limited amount of money last year (being that I was only actually employed for two months of it) so there wasn’t a whole lot of complicated stuff to do. I didn’t really know what to expect as far as refunds or owing money would go because I’ve never done this before, but apparently the federal government owed be $621 which was nice, and I owed the Illinois government $10 😂 which I was like okay I can live with that 😂. It had estimated that I owe them $3 in taxes based on stuff I bought off the internet and hadn’t paid state sales tax on, and I was just like uhhh I think I bought a lot more stuff off the internet than that, but let’s go with that 😂. So that was easy enough. The only snafu I encountered at the end was that while I could file my federal taxes online, which was the bulk of it, I ended up needing to do my state ones by mail because I hadn’t filed in Illinois for the past few years and I don’t have an IL drivers license (though I’m planning on getting one very soon!) so apparently they couldn’t confirm my identity online and needed me to send them a piece of paper with my signature on it to prove it, so I printed that out and stuck it in a big envelope along with a check made out to them for $10 and I’ll take that by the UPS store tomorrow to get sent out. so yeah, that was easy. After that I didn’t do very much more work, mostly just chilled out. I finished watching The Umbrella Academy which was very good, and then switched to The Americans which I’m almost at the end of season 4 in. They go really quickly because they only have 13 episode seasons, I feel like I shouldn't already be in season 4 at this point and there’s only 6 seasons, so I’m actually fairly close to the end. It’s been getting really good though, so I guess we’ll have to see where it goes from there. And yeah, finished an episode of that and started getting ready for bed, wasted time procrastinating of course, and now I’m here. I gotta get up at 9 tomorrow (slight improvement over 8:30 today) and head back downtown for our first official meeting on the sexual harassment case, so I’m looking forward to that. I emailed my co-counsel today asking if we can meet 15 minutes before the scheduled meeting time just to chat quickly about the case and make sure we’re on the same page and he said we could do that, so I think that will be helpful just to make sure we’re thinking the same things. And yeah, that’s pretty much it, suddenly I am very sleepy and it is just past 1 am so I am in fact going to go to sleep now. Goodnight dears. Happy Friday.

djkhkjghadsjsh im gonna set myself on fire lol pls read this email a relative of mine just sent me
“This is a good one, well said. One may want to show it to some liberal friends who are on good terms with you.
A guy looked at my Corvette the other day and said, I wonder how many people could have been fed for the money that sports car cost. I replied I am not sure, it fed a lot of families in Bowling Green, Kentucky who built it, it fed the people who make the tires, it fed the people who made the components that went into it, it fed the people in the copper mine who mined the copper for the wires, it fed people in Decatur IL, at Caterpillar who make the trucks that haul the copper ore. It fed the trucking people who hauled it from the plant to the dealer and fed the people working at the dealership and their families.
BUT,... I have to admit, I guess I really don't know how many people it fed. That is the difference between capitalism and welfare mentality. When you buy something, you put money in people's pockets, and give them dignity for their skills. When you give someone something for nothing, you rob them of their dignity and self worth.
Capitalism is freely giving your money in exchange for something of value. Socialism is taking your money against your will and shoving something down your throat for which you never asked. I've decided I can't be politically correct anymore.”
those last two paragraphs truly are.........something else, and what i mean by that is fucked up.

Well, today was pretty chill. It's been a pretty relaxing few days off thankfully and tomorrow I go back to work for the "summer" internship lol. I'm not terribly confident they're gonna put me back on the same calendar which I'm kind of sad about because I liked them a lot but I mean whatever happens hopefully I'll be getting to handle cases and it'll be good, so yeah. But today. Woke up to my alarm at 9, got ready and hopped on the bus, bus to the train, then finally up the street to where our new church meeting place will be for the month of May. I knew it was down the same street so it can't have been very far, and I found it pretty quickly. The place where they're doing the kids ministry is actually in a totally separate building that's kind of like, diagonally across the block from the school we'll be in, but there's like a parking lot you can cut through so it's not bad. Of course there's plenty of volunteers making sure everyone gets everywhere cuz they're good like that. I have a few minutes so I head to the make shift volunteer lounge, which is the cafeteria haha which makes sense for food serving purposes and had a donut while chatting with people for a few before heading into the service. The service was REALLY good, and I can actually remember most of it this week haha so that is definitely progress. Basically we started in worship with this one really simple song that I've known for eternities but recently have been kind of fixated on just because it's so simply beautiful and perfect and sums up all I'm feeling in such wonderful words. So I was already in a good place with that. Then we started the message, kicking off a new series called "neighboring" which is focused on, you guessed it, loving thy neighbor, which, if you actually pay attention to any of my religion-related rants, you know is pretty much the thing I focus on more than anything and it's something I think the church has to get a lot better at if they want to stop losing people. So we went through the story in Luke with the young douchey guy being like "but who is my neighbor?" and that's what Jesus tells the story of the Good Samaritan, and in the end asks "who acted like the neighbor to the injured man?" with the answer of course being the Samaritan, when Samaritans were reviled and mocked by their people- but a priest and a Levite (which, for a short explanation, is kind of like a knock off priest) passed him without even stopping and immediately my mind flips to the homeless people I see on the streets every single day that are passed by by so many people without a second thought. How many priests, how many pastors have been among them? How many have been going to teach a lesson on religion while fundamentally forsaking the greatest tenet of that religion, the foundation upon which it is actually based on? On that note, our pastor said something I liked about the two commands- love God and love your neighbor- that they're inextricably linked, that you cannot fully love God without loving your neighbor and vice versa. And that makes a lot of sense to me. This stuff....obviously, as you can probably tell by the unintentional rant I just went on, this is something I have a lot of feelings on and it's an area I think the church is failing in now more than ever and their hypocrisy in it is at its most obvious when you have callous statements being made about people's lives directly being compared to what the bible says. People aren't stupid. They're not gonna want to go anywhere near a religion where all the public figures they see representing it are giant hypocrites. How much influence could we actually have if we lived up to those biblical promises? Just.....just give me one republican politician that gives a damn about the child welfare system and I'll vote for them, promise. But honestly, with that and many similar issues missing from their platforms, their campaigns come off as nothing but hot air. I'm getting off track though. Anyway. As the service ended I went right over to the kids building to help with the transition between services. We ended up having 3 helpers and 5 babies, which wasn't bad at all. Most of them were fine, but there was one little boy that cried. The. Entire. Time. And we texted his parents and they didn't fucking respond or come. Seriously, over an hour of crying. Finally during the last like twenty minutes someone had the bright idea to give him his bottle and that shut him right up for the rest of the time, lol. I didn't end up holding him though, I was mostly with a 7th month old and an 8th month old, both I've had before and just kind of bouncing back and forth between them and entertaining them. Neither of them could quite sit up on their own yet, and at one point they were both fussing so I was trying to get them both balanced on my lap, and as I was trying to get the little girl balanced the little boy kind of fell over onto the mat right next to us haha he was totally fine, just cried for a moment, of course I felt bad about it but he really only fell a few inches so he was fine. I ended up just with the girl for a little bit and walked around with her and looked out the windows which she seemed to like, so we did that. It was funny, because every like 20 minutes or so the lady over babies would pop her head in and be like "how're we doing Rachel?" and it always either like, complete silence, every baby playing content and calm, or like, 4 children are screaming, something's on fire, two helpers have fled for their lives and one baby is just sitting in the corner laughing maniacally (okay that might be a little bit of an exaggeration, but mostly only with the fire, and there is a very cute little girl who has the most maniacal giggle and it's hilarious). But yeah, overall not bad. I kind of de facto got recruited into packing up the room and moving everything back downstairs to the u-haul because we needed to be out of the building like immediately because it's actually a children's theatre that had a production of Pinocchio going up at 2 (and church generally runs till 1:45.....) so that was, interesting to say the least, but we did it. Walked to the train, got off and there was a wait for the bus with still a bit of a chill in the air (ugh) so I went inside the donut shop to get some tea and my second donut of the day, lol. It didn't take too long for the bus to show up thankfully. So I got home and wanted to set to work making cookies because we're having a kids ministry coaches movie night tomorrow to get to meet our new family ministry director and I wanted to bring something. I was fairly sure I had all the ingredients for at least one of my two go to cookie recipes (that being my vanilla pudding cookies and my smores cookies) but I must've used the box of vanilla pudding I try to keep on hand at some point and never replaced it, and I didn't have any graham crackers or chocolate chips (although I was prepared to replace those with Christmas m&ms). So either way I needed to make a store trip quickly, so I decided on the vanilla pudding cookies just because it feels like it's been a while since I've made them and that I've been making the smores cookies somewhat frequently lately. So I throw my coat back on (brr) and run to the grocery store down the block from me. For some inexplicable reason they do not have normal vanilla instant pudding mix, so I end up with one of the fancy organic and shit ones that's vanilla bean that I figured would taste good since I was planning on adding vanilla bean paste anyway. I also grabbed a bag of shredded mozzarella, because I was gonna make my creamy Parmesan chicken pasta for dinner and that goes well with it. So I went to the check out line with those two items, and the lady in line behind me is like "I love your boots they're so cute!!!" and I completely blanked on the name of the designer haha I even checked the bottom of the boots but it wasn't there (I later remembered it was Steve Madden). So I get back and home and make some cookies which of course turn out very nice, and then go pretty much into making dinner, and then I ate some dinner and settled into watch the rest of the first season of APB (it was only 12 episodes, so it wasn't gonna take long). I really liked the show and idk if it was just because I was so bitter over Chicago Justice being a crapshoot that it was just like a breath of fresh air or what haha but I did really like it (spoilers ahead, duh). They definitely had multiple endings written for the end of the last scene with the mayor depending on the status of the second season at that point. If it was gonna get renewed, they would've saved the mayor. If it was gonna get canceled, they probably would've had the mayor get shot but then add some sort of finality, and then there's the "they haven't renewed it or canceled it yet" option which is what we got, so the mayor gets shot and everything is going crazy and then they just cut to black because that way they can either do a second season or not and get away with it. I hope it gets renewed though. It's definitely different than your average police show. It's funny that some people on the show were like "they're infringing upon on rights!" with the technology when I really didn't think they were at all, meanwhile in crim pro I was always like "this is bullshit!!! This cops shouldn't be allowed to do this!!!!" Lol, the difference probably is that I actually can enumerate those rights for you whereas for the average viewer they can get away with saying they're infringing on our rights when they're really not at all. We did have a huge essay question involving drone surveillance on our crim pro I final, and it was actually an extremely well thought out question that brought into play a ton of different cases and doctrines and was actually really cool to answer (yes I am a major dork sometimes, I know). But anyway. I did that along with my back exercises interspersed in there (side planks are beginning to grow on me, I may start doing more of those for abdominal strength and yeah, then I made my lunch for tomorrow (so excited to be back to only having to cram one meal into my lunchbox!) and got ready for bed. Whenever I wasn't watching tv or doing something else throughout the day I was listening to the up and vanished podcast, and I made it through to just after the arrest was made and I have to say, I am SO curious about how they arrested this guy after openly admitting he wasn't on their radar at all until a few days before and then they got a tip and within days they had made an arrest in a 11 year old cold case. Like that's crazy. I also think it's funny that the podcast (and the GBI for that matter) were going in depth on all these theories (and some fan theories involving fairly big conspiracies) and they were literally all completely irrelevant to what actually happened, haha. I'm kind of endeared to the podcast though, I'm really enjoying it. In the first episode where the host was like "I'm gonna hold a contest for people who subscribe, and whoever wins I'll send some of my grandma's cowboy cookies!" I like couldn't stop laughing because that was the most adorable thing I've ever heard haha but he definitely upped the professionalism and actually got an idea what he's doing and I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of it. I'm assuming his plans for the rest of this season (and possibly season 2?) are toast now, being that we may have an active trial to cover here, so it'll be interesting to see where they go from there. Okay, that's all I got. I'm gonna have to adjust my sleeping schedule if I'm gonna be waking up at 7 am 5 days a week and not falling asleep at my desk (hopefully, anyway). So basically I have to be up in 6 hours and I should get to sleep now. Goodnight lovelies. Hope your Monday is as great as a Monday can be.
