So, I've been thinking of the "Sun and Freddy don't exactly Get Along" thing and:
Imagine that one day you get pulled off your "Daycare Duties" (or whatever you usually do that keeps you around the DCA for most of your shift, be it as a guard or assistant or anything similar), to help out the band for most of the day. Freddy walks you back at the end of your shift, thanking you for assisting them all with your hard work.
You, of course, are super flattered that The Frederick Fazbear is complimenting you and are going through the normal, "Wow! A minor celebrity is talking to me!" buzz that most of the workers tend to go through when first getting to know Freddy, and you're giggling and smiling and waving bye when he turns to leave when you notice Freddy stop and just get this Look on his face as his eyes slowly drift up behind you.
You slowly turn, as this huge shadow drapes over you from behind the Daycare's glass window pane, to see Sunny just Silently Looming.
Arms hanging by his sides, body hunched, head slightly lowered and tilted at an odd angle, and eye-lights burning with what you can swear is downright murderous intent.
It's. Terrifying.
#added to my list of: things i will draw one day#sunnydrop#glamrock freddy#angst#scenario#sfw#violence ment#the virus and his inherent jealous streak/abandonment issues strike again!#would make for some Top Notch angst thank you for coming to my FRED Talk#freddy pats you on the head/shoulder#and for a moment sun considers the idea of ripping freddy's arms off and beating him into the ground with them#which he mentions 'jokingly' to you (much to your Horror)#i need more heavy angst between these two#people always pit sunny against monty for some reason#no no i need sunny vs freddy#for my health

Sun and Moon fnaf fics are great! I have a ton that are ship or Gen. I'm basically down for anything that makes them the main character. 🤣 I hope you don't mind me sending you a bunch of links! I had to dig through my bookmarks to find some cool Sun and Moon fics. this is an example of the stuff I like! This is also to make up for making you wait!
So this is actually a multi-fic series! I recommend starting with part 3, "A Pirates Bucketlist" It's a wonderful gen fic about foxy the pirate going through his bucketlist before he's scrapped. He also happens to adopt the two newest animatronics before he goes. It's so wonderful. The next part to that fic is "12 Steps" (part 6 in the series) It's an awesome glittergolf fic. The story itself is so interesting and I love all the nuance/characterizations of the animatronics in this series.
I also enjoy this multi-fic series! The first one if a fnaf canon divergent of FNAF SB but if Sun and Moon were more involved. I actually read this multific series for the 2nd glittergolf part (it's soooo cute) the whump and angst in this series is so real. I love it.
This is also another awesome canon divergent SB fnaf fic! Sun and Moon are joined by Puppet in this family dynamic! I love it. Sunny is my fav in this one (doesn't help it's got FemSun!). The characterizations here are so neat and it's a quick read. I loved the twists and turns to this fic! It's also a multi-fic series and if I remember right it's got amazing art too!
This one also has some fun angst and just offers a different dynamic for Sun and Moon. I like the budding friendship in this fic! It's pretty awesome! I don't want to add too many spoilers but this also has some great BonniexSun moments! This fic is rated M for Murder ;) be mindful of the tags if you don't like violence/discussions of it. For crossovers, I recommend this!
This is a Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss x TSAMS au. So it will include characters not canon to FNAF like Lunar and Earth but it's over all a REALLY fun little read. It's a complete AU re-imagining and putting the different animatronics in their own unique roles. This mostly just uses the set design of hazbin/helluva so you need no prior knowledge to them.
I have more crossovers to offer, but some a M rated and IDK if you want those links 😂
I usually don't read reader insert fics, but I do like them! It just depends. I think the one that comes to mind immediately for a reader insert fic was this:
Not only is this fic immaculate so far, but the creator also made two animatics on it!!! TWO!!! Check out their youtube, it's "Gallexy Cat". This is so far the only reader insert I've read. I prefer if it's a reader insert for the DCA models I tend to like it more when it's a gen horror story vs. a romance. This is also a huge mystery and the plot unfolds and it's so awesome. The writing is also just really fun and unique.
As for Recs, I'm ok with any kind of ships depending on how it's written. I will read M rated stuff but do tend to like plot more. I have a handful of fics that were recommended to me that are more TSAMS leaning that I'm working on at the moment, but any FNAF gen stories I would absolutely read. Any reqs I'll take!! I heard about the one Ghost in the Machine and I might check that one out next.
Dear Tumblr
Will someone please recommend some good Sun and Moon crossover fics (with no reader inserts please)?
Or just a good sun and moon fic in general? It could even be tsams (but I might have read it already)
I crave.... Please....
#brainrot#the sun and moon show#tsams#fnaf sb#fnaf sun#fnaf moon#ao3 fic recs#tsams fic rec#fnaf sb fic rec#DCA fics#dca fic recs#i read way too many dca fics#I just love those funky robo clowns#I would gladly read any reqs!#sorry for so many links#I read all these fics recently and they're really great#there's been more fics but I don't want to make this overwhelmingly long#I hope you like my fic recs!#These live rent free in my brain!#the authors are incredible and you can tell each one has a lot of love

Tallest Purple x Steven (Not If Connie Can Help It)
---------------------------------------
Credit for Invader Zim goes to Jhonen Vasquez
Credit for Star Vs The Forces Of Evil goes to Daron Nefcy
Credit for Animaniacs goes to Tom Ruegger
Credit for Five Nights At Freddy’s goes to Steel Wool Studios & Original Creator: Scott Cawthon
Credit for Deltarune & Undertale goes to Toby Fox
Credit for Steven Universe series goes to Rebecca Sugar
-----------------------------
this might be the weirdest thing to pop into my head,
the whole Purple willingly kissing Steven, or as the other him had pointed out,
a Steven from another timeline.
sure they are a both wearing the same clothes, having the same color shirt on.
but only one of them ends up moving and settling down in the same town as Dib, Gaz and Professor Membrane.
like The Membranes could end up becoming Steven’s (the one who is being kissed by Purple) Foster Family.
and Membrane technically adopts Steven, like picture him meeting Greg and doing that one famous meme where he tells Greg to not come near him or his son again, but then Greg pointing out that Steven is his son.
but in a plot twist, Membrane shows the adoption papers,
and saying “he’s MY son”
like one of the awesome ideas, is Membrane adopted Zim, and making Zim the adoptive sibling to Dib and Gaz.
so picture if Membrane adopted both Zim and Steven.
Steven could still keep his original surnames,
but could go by Steven Quartz Universe-Membrane.
Sunny acting as adorable cinnamon roll who thinks Purple is trying to eat Steven, and can’t see that Purple is kissing him, just seem like a good idea to put down for this drawing.
also adding the whole question if the Original-Steven and Spamton are one in the same, like Original-Steven was reincarnated as Spamton.
the whole Purple x Steven, is not likely to become very famous as most crossover ships, but it is what pop into my mind and I had to draw it...
just don’t tell Tallest Red, Lol.
the version of Steven that becomes a Sans, says he ships it, meaning he is fine with it.
Connie isn’t fine with it, because she worries Purple might try to kiss her Steven, who is also her boyfriend.
it be fine if Purple called the Steven who ends up becoming adopted by the Membrane Family, as Stevie and even Sugar-Lips.
which the last part could embarrass Steven enough to have him go into “Pink Mode” but he would calm himself down to getting out of Pink Mode.
reason why Purple calls him Sugar-Lips, could be because to Purple, when he had first kissed Steven, he tasted sugar.
and we all know how Irkens are with sweets and junk food.
the version of Steven who ends up being adopted by the Membranes,
sadly never became his Connie’s boyfriend, but they just stayed friends
but that didn’t mean that the two didn’t still have feelings for each other.
but Steven still needed time, after being rejected when he asked her to marry him.....and he is the version that didn’t kiss Connie on the lips when he was about to leave beach city.
if I decide to, I’m gonna draw another Purple x Steven drawing.
PS:
you might have to click on the drawing to make it bigger so you all can read the words that some of the characters are saying in the drawing itself.

Imagine Steve/Avengers walking in to Tony entertaining two soldiers in the common room and being really confused because Tony??? Despises the military??? But then find out that those two soldiers are actually from the “fun-vee” way back in IM 1 and Tony’s fitting them with prosthetics.
ahhh this has been stuck in my head for DAYS anon! I don’t necessarily agree with the assessment that Tony hates the military, per se (doing business with the military and the military industrial complex, however, and all that that toxic shit entails, definitely yes), BUT it’s such a heartbreaking/warming concept I had to run with it! I think I got it right with Air Force vs Army, but the movie was kinda vague—I’m going off of the fact that the driver said “I’m an airman,” which you would not say if you were in the Army.
and since the airmen (and woman) Tony was traveling with in the Fun-Vee are canonically deceased, I thought I’d have Tony do something…well, Extremely Tony™ to compensate…
(::whispers:: also we’re just gonna pretend that the Bucky-killed-Tony’s-parents-revelations of Cap 2/3 aren’t a thing in this vaguely alternate MCU universe. la-di-da, la-di-da…)
***
It’s not surprising to walk into the Avengers common area and see Tony Stark working on something no one can quite comprehend. That’s par for the course, really, as commonplace as days that end in Y. Machines, phones, tablets, watches, the toaster after Hulk pressed the cancel button a little too hard—they’ve seen Tony futzing with just about everything that exists in the Tower (and some things that don’t—couldn’t—exist anywhere else except where Tony is).
What the team isn’t expecting when the elevator doors open onto the communal floor that sunny Tuesday afternoon is a living room scattered with men and women in various states of modest undress, all of whom immediately pivot in place to take stock of the new arrivals. Three men, one woman, and in the middle of their protective circle is Tony, eyes blazing with the same thrill of invention he often gets in the lab, a pair of needle-nose pliers clenched in his teeth.
Steve in particular notices the way Tony looks, because he’s developed a bad habit of doing that over the past year and change, and he’s kind of helpless at this point. Tony’s backlit by the afternoon sun, preoccupied with whatever he’s doing with the strange woman’s arm to distraction, and Steve can’t be judged too harshly—anyone with eyes would drag theirs over the exposed muscles of Tony’s arms, the shift and flex of his shoulders, the firm taper of his waist, the pronounced curve of his a—
“Are we, uh, interrupting something?” Clint has to shout to be heard above the music blasting from all corners of the room.
Tony looks up from his work and waves his free hand, the one that isn’t wrist-deep in what looks remarkably like a prosthetic arm. He makes a ‘cut it off’ motion to his neck before taking the pliers out of his mouth while FRIDAY lowers the rock music to a dull background hum.
“Hey! Sorry, I tried to keep it to the lab, but these guys wanted to see where the Avengers hang out, and I couldn’t say no.”
Steve tears his eyes away from Tony (who should really work the sweaty-and-disheveled-mechanic look more often) to take in the others in the room with him. It’s a panorama of people, and the first thing Steve notices, besides their more obvious differences, is how comfortable they all are with each other, to the point that walking in on this moment feels invasive, almost rude.
The four are all of remarkably different builds and backgrounds, not a similarity between them: an African American man, no taller than Steve was before the serum, sits on the couch; a white man, thin as a rake and twice as tall, is reaching for a glass of water on the coffee table; an Asian American man, whose shoulders are somehow even broader than Steve’s, stands rigidly next to Tony, arms folded across his chest; and the lone woman, whose glossy black hair is wound tightly in a bun at the back of her head. Steve notes the beautifully elaborate Native American tattoo covering the expanse of her shoulders and upper back.
Then Steve notices the high-and-tights, the form-fitting, drab beige shirts they’re all wearing, the combat boots lined up behind the loveseat, and he realizes, much like he did with Sam that morning in DC, oh—these are my people.
“Ah, well, welcome to the octagon!” Clint says with an easy smile, stepping forward to shake hands and say hello like a normal human being. Natasha gives Steve one of her looks before she and Sam follow him into the living room—I don’t know any more than you do.
Bruce, Wanda, and Vision stay behind with Steve to let the first wave through. Steve watches his teammates greet the airmen without fanfare, welcoming strangers into their private midst like it’s routine.
“Didn’t know y’all would be around, else we would’ve stayed outta sight.”
Sam laughs, clapping the sitting man on the shoulder. “Dude, if Tony told us you were here, I would have come downstairs and bugged you, myself.”
“Sure, PJ—you just wanted to see what real Air Force muscle looks like,” the man grins, flexing his barrel chest hard enough to strain his shirt. Sam guffaws and gives him a friendly punch to the shoulder, which the man returns in kind with a fist to the kidney.
Clint is already deep in conversation with the redheaded beanpole, who talks so fast it’s dizzying; Natasha is standing next to the third man, keeping her eyes forward, and together they watch Tony disappear back into his work, muttering things back and forth to each other, so quiet even Steve can’t hear.
“I think all is clear,” Vision says smoothly, drifting forward with Wanda, who is visibly fascinated by the woman’s tattoo until she steps into the throng and sees something that makes her face fall.
Steve moves forward, curious and worried in equal measure. Bruce is hot on his heels.
“—I mean it’s crazy right? It’s crazy, Tony Stark, Tony Stark calls us up out of the blue one day and says ‘You’ll be waiting six months to a year for a decent repair job, let alone a complete replacement, and I owe you guys, come on by Avengers Tower—”
Redhead is gabbing excitedly, gesticulating like Tony does when he’s in the mad depths of an invention binge. Steve sees the glint of metal and hears the whir of mechanisms working smoothly together in tandem and realizes both of the man’s hands are prosthetic.
“Oh man! Oh, man! Captain, sir, wow, it’s—fuck, shit, my mama would kill me for swearing in front of you, fucking—shit, sorry, fuck—ah, damn it!”
Steve smiles and introduces himself—Corporal Bill Levee, apparently, is just as talkative up close. For all that his hand is made of metal, his grip feels remarkably, tangibly real.
While Bill goes back to talking compound bows with Hawkeye, Steve looks at the man on the couch. Sam and Vision are now sitting on either side of him: both of his legs end at mid-thigh, and in their place are what look like brand-new metal limbs, designed to match his proportions exactly. The metal is dark, shiny, beautiful. He looks thrilled. He looks even more excited when Steve approaches, leaps to his feet and doesn’t even balk at the fact that Steve is a head and change taller than him and a superhero—he just steps right up to Steve and jabs him once in the shoulder with a grin.
“Captain Rogers,” he says, and sticks out his hand. Steve shakes it. The man points a thumb at himself: “Captain Freddy Harrison. A little after your time, sir, but an honor to meet you regardless.”
Bill is still talking a mile a minute behind him; Freddy sits back down on the couch and lets Steve continue his “Captain America Meet-and-Greet” but makes him promise to come back and swap stories, which Steve does, happily, even as his mind whirls. How does Tony know these people? Why are they here? Where did these prosthetics come from?
Bruce has joined Natasha, standing apart from the rest to talk to her and her new friend. Steve stops to say hello, as is only right, waiting until he’s entered the man’s line of sight to do so. Only then does he realize that the man has no line of sight, because both of his eyes are prosthetic.
“I’m not completely blind, Captain,” he says, voice low but good-humored. Next to him, Natasha smothers a smile behind her hand.
“Steve, this is Sergeant Daniel Kwon,” Bruce offers. The sergeant smirks and extends a hand—the eyes in his sockets look incredibly lifelike, but don’t move even a fraction of a millimeter. They gleam, still, with an uncanny sense of knowing. Steve has a sneaking suspicion they see more than enough and match his original eyes perfectly.
“I’ll still make an exception in your case, Sergeant Kwon,” Steve replies, shaking his hand, “for not saluting a ranking officer.”
Dan chuckles under his breath.
“Let’s see your battlefield commission and then we’ll talk rank, sir,” he says.
“Ugh, men.”
Steve turns around, and there’s Tony, flipping shut a panel high on the woman’s left arm with a smile. He pockets the pliers and drags the back of his forearm across his glistening forehead. Somewhere in the back of Steve’s mind, a saxophone is blaring.
Honestly, the intrusive thoughts he could deal with, but the fact that Tony looks this good after hours of hard labor really isn’t fair.
“Seriously, barely two minutes in and you military guys are at it like frat bros at a kegger.” Tony looks sidelong at the woman, who rolls her shoulders with a pop and a groan. “How do you manage?”
“Easy,” she says, “I let them drink until they pass out and then I run back to the women’s barracks with all their clothes so they have to walk across the TOC butt-naked.”
“I think we need to compare our respective strategies,” Natasha says, taking Wanda’s arm on her way to greet the other woman. “This is Wanda; I’m Natasha.”
The woman turns to face them. Her features are striking in a way that makes Steve think of old friends from the war, men he met on those rare occasions he had leave. He’d listen to Native American Code Talkers tell stories of land and legacy and home, stories older than anything Steve had ever known. He’d never been so humbled.
“Delores,” she replies, shaking their hands. “But please, call me Del, or I’ll never hear the end of it.”
Steve looks at Tony, who giggles—giggles—and mouths ‘Umbridge.’ Del must have ears like a bat, because she smacks him smartly with her prosthetic arm and Tony yelps before devolving into outright laughter. Steve could watch and listen to Tony laugh—that big, gut-wrenching cackle Tony thinks is unattractive but Steve thinks makes Tony look like happiness personified—all day.
The conversation devolves quickly from there, and within a couple of excitable minutes, the airmen are eager to get a look at the Avengers’ game room. They pile into the elevator, talking animatedly over each others’ heads, placing bets and picking teams as the doors close.
In their wake, Steve’s ears are buzzing, and he realizes with a jolt that he’s now alone. With Tony.
It happens often enough that the fact itself isn’t jarring, but something about being alone with disheveled-frazzled-happy-sweaty Tony sets Steve’s nerves on high alert. Tony is loose-limbed and relaxed, moving in and out of Steve’s space as he picks his way around the living room barefoot, looking for discarded tools.
“There you are,” he coos at a tiny device that looks remarkably like a laser pointer. Knowing Tony, it’s probably a real laser. He pockets it, assumably to put away later (or fish out of the laundry at the last minute).
“Who are those people, Tony?”
“Friends of friends,” Tony replies. Steve also knows Tony well enough to recognize his I am being deliberately vague voice when he hears it.
“Uh-huh.” Steve sits on the arm of the sofa, legs stretched out in front of him. “And who are they really?”
“Who wants to know?”
“Me,” Steve says gently, scratching his palms with dulled fingernails. “They’re strangers, and they’re in our home. I think if you were in my shoes you’d want to know.”
Tony stoops to pick up and pocket what looks like a dissected nine-volt battery. Steve kind of wants to ask, but he’s too distracted by Tony’s ass in those black Levis to ask any cogent questions. Seriously, he wonders, are those painted on?
Only when Tony sighs, and quite heavily, that Steve realizes this was more than just a friendly house call (of sorts) on Tony’s part. He watches Tony stand up, facing the floor-to-ceiling windows bright with the glow of sunset, and admires the way Tony suits the view so perfectly. He looks good all the time, but like this—skin burnished gold, brown eyes honeyed by the light—he’s something else. Someone Steve wants, desperately, but like most things in his life, knows he’s not allowed to have. Tony Stark is beyond him in so many ways. Reaching for him seems futile, so Steve stays on the ground, and looks.
Tony fidgets nervously with a mini Phillips Head screwdriver, twiddling it in his long, clever fingers as he stares out the windows at the city sprawled out beneath them.
“They’re from the same company as the guys in the convoy I was with when I—when they—” his voice sputters out before he can say the words. Steve doesn’t push. He doesn’t say anything. He just waits for Tony to gather himself. It’s one of the hardest lessons he’s had to learn about Tony Stark—sometimes it’s better to let him get a handle on himself, rather than jump in and try to handle Tony for him. It doesn’t change the fact that Steve wants nothing more than to hold his hand, now that it’s hanging at his side like its string was just cut. “A while back I dug into Air Force records, talked to Rhodey, got some names. Five people died in the hit that was meant for me. I figured, the least I could do was find five of their closest buddies who needed help.”
Tony glances back at Steve—the little smile on his lips could break Steve’s heart if he let it.
“And I’ve heard you talk about how convoluted the VA is when it comes to services and benefits and whatnot. I figured, my tech probably took their limbs, I should cut out the middle man and give them new ones, myself.”
Something in Steve’s heart shifts irrevocably before kicking into a whole new gear. By the end of the sentence, Steve knows he’s going to do something incredibly rash, the only question is when.
Funny—ten minutes ago he was coming back from a team exercise, prepared to give Tony a friendly but firm talking-to about missing it, and instead here he is, breathless, heart racing, sitting and listening to Tony talk humbly about fixing people because he knows it’s the right thing to do. Because it’s the least he can do. And isn’t that the wildest understatement Steve’s ever heard?
As if anything about Tony Stark could ever possibly be least.
“You built them all those prosthetics?”
“Top of the line!” Tony smirks, saluting Steve with his Phillips Head. “Nothing more high tech in any of them than a heart rate monitor and some other odds and ends—no rocket launcher eyes, don’t worry. I kept my baser urges in check with these.”
“It’s good,” Steve blurts out, too loud and too fast. Tony inhales sharply, fingers clenching around the screwdriver hard enough his knuckles go white. Steve feels his face go hot and groans. “I mean, what you did—what you’re doing—is good, Tony. It’s really generous of you to do that for those guys.”
Steve crosses his arms across his chest to make himself feel safer, more contained. If he doesn’t, who knows where these ridiculous feelings might go. He feels silly enough as it is, blushing and stammering while dressed in his uniform, sans helmet. Even Tony’s probably wondering why he’s wasting his time talking to a red-white-and-blue fossil when he could be downstairs destroying Clint and the others at pool or showing the airmen around the tower, giving them the bells-and-whistles tour.
Tony looks at the floor, away from Steve. Steve feels it like a physical thing, Tony pulling away, retreating, wanting to hide. Amazing, how a man who almost literally wears his heart on his sleeve still thinks he doesn’t have one.
“Yeah, well,” Tony mutters, “it’s good practice, anyways.”
Steve’s thoughts grind to a halt.
“Practice for what?”
Tony starts moving around, shuffling back and forth across the living room floor, looking for something that probably isn’t there. Steve knows when Tony is avoiding eye contact with him—it happens often enough.
“Just a pet project, nothing major. Hey, have you seen my cable knife anywhere?”
“Did you leave it on the floor? Tony…”
“I know, I know, the only thing worse is Legos, but I was busy! You can’t blame me for—OW FUCK!”
Like a shot, Steve is up and holding on to Tony so he doesn’t hop backwards into the glass coffee table. One arm wrapped around his back and the other hand on his bicep, Steve steadies Tony as Tony searches underfoot for whatever hurt him.
He comes up with a magnet the size of a dime.
“Ha,” Tony wheezes. “Speaking of Legos.” He drops it into his pocket along with the laser pointer and whatever else is in there and hangs his head. Rubbing his brow, Tony says: “God. I could sleep for a week after today.”
Steve keeps holding Tony. He should let go, but opportunities like this so rarely present themselves. Plus, Tony feels so good under his hands, strong and warm and just small enough to envelope in a hug if Steve let himself, if Tony wanted him to, and Tony does look dead on his (adorable, bare) feet…
“What else have you been working on today? This pet project?”
“Hah?” Tony breathes, still wincing slightly from stepping on the magnet. “Oh yeah. For Bucky, when you find him. Ow, motherfucker, that hurt…”
The thing about being in Tony Stark’s presence is, it’s so easy to lose the plot. Tony’s mind moves faster than Steve could ever hope to match, mentally or physically; he’s always one pace behind, catching up. It’s fine, though; he actually kind of likes it, being challenged the way Tony challenges him, delighting in the push-pull of their banter and debates, the way Tony teaches him about science and tech and the 21st century without being condescending. Steve gets to a point where he thinks he knows Tony, how he operates, how his brain works—then moments like this happen, and it’s like he’s sprinted smack into a brick wall.
“What?”
“What?”
“Bucky, you said—are you designing a new arm? For Bucky?”
Tony seems to notice their position at that exact moment. Steve feels him blaze with heat where his hands are touching Tony’s bare skin.
“Uh. Maybe?” At Steve’s look, Tony bites his lip and sighs. “Fine. Yeah, I am. Can you blame me? The thought of Sputnik wandering around the tower with that Cold War-era paperweight hanging off him when I’ve got brand-spanking-new, finely-tuned StarkTech all but ready to go? Perish, Steve, perish the thought.”
Tony is smiling up at him from his place in Steve’s arms, relaxed now, almost leaning into him, and all Steve can think is, he belongs here.
“What’s that face?” Tony asks, curious but still smiling. He pokes Steve in the middle of the forehead with a cheeky grin. “Keep frowning like that, your face’ll stick.”
When, apparently, is right now.
When Steve reaches up and takes Tony’s hand, he gets to watch Tony’s thoughts run into the wall, for once.
When he weaves their fingers together, he gets to watch Tony’s mouth click shut and his eyes go wide. Super-hearing means he can count the beats of Tony’s racing heart without having to feel them. Steve’s telegraphing every movement, every feeling, as much as he possibly can now that words seem to have escaped him.
He must manage okay, because the look that passes over Tony’s face is the same one Steve’s seen in the mirror a thousand times since the day he realized he was halfway in love with Tony Stark: wonder, one part lost, one part found.
When he leans down, slowly, Steve gets to watch Tony’s beautiful eyes flicker and shut. He counts the dark lashes where they rest on Tony’s high cheekbones, breathes in his smell and listens to the shudder in his exhale before drawing him in for a kiss that draws everything else to a quiet, blissful blank.
When Tony pushes his fingers up into Steve’s hair, scratching lightly at the nape of his neck, Steve drops his arms around Tony’s waist and pulls him in close with a soft groan. He’s warm and messy and still holding that damn screwdriver, but he kisses Steve soft and eager like it’s the only thing he wants to do for the rest of his life, folds himself into Steve’s embrace like he wants to build a home right there in his arms.
One day Steve will tell him he already did, a long time ago, and it wasn’t the least of anything.

What’s one AU that you’ve never seen for Reylo that you want to? What’s one trope that you wish was more common in fic?
I had a really good one a while back that I can’t think of now. Maybe I’ll remember later lol.
I wish there were more modern royalty AUs with ridiculous romcom tropes, you know Prince Ben and CinderReya (yes, I am proud of that pun). I know of only one. I will also take more royalty stuff at all, period. There is not enough Prince Ben in any form and this is an egregious crime because he is an actual canon prince and I feel like there’s so much potential there for amusing double-fish-out-of-water scenarios with Rey’s socialisation exclusively in seedy underbelly culture vs his Raised by Books and Droids. People tend to make him way more rough and tumble than he actually is and Rey way less so and it’s a waste lmao. They are both impulsive under pressure, but he is a social thinker, he’s curious about people, she’s the one who problem-solves by pretending there are no problems and hitting anyone who looks at her funny.
People do a lot of jokes about her teaching him manners post-redemption like he’s this half-tame bear she brought home, but it’d be the exact opposite. He’s stiltedly formal in canon, he’s solicitous. Meanwhile Rey has zero manners and is blunt to a fault, she is ready to throw down over her sense of justice at any time with no apologies. I feel like she’d be super overprotective of Ben/their relationship and I’d love to see more fics with that kind of Rey the secretive hoarder vs the outside world clash. It feels like such a natural extension of her canon conflicts.
Also set ups which acknowledge how Not Fine, sealed off, isolated and judgey she is. Like she’s a ranger who works with animals, loves animals with such soft compassion, but barely speaks to people, and he’s either a scientist or a developer, someone she can easily think is up to no good and a threat to nature. She thinks he’s an unfeeling brute, but obviously it’s complicated and he has some kind of tree-hugging past he had to abandon etc. etc.
(Back on manners and how they have a complex double-defrosting dynamic everyone tends to simplify into her being his opposite and her defrosting him, sunny well-adjusted social butterfly Rey to a broody Byronic man- which is NOT correct at all. He is emotionally available and immediately compassionate for her, he defrosts her inner self; she seems available to the ‘good guys’ but isn’t. Anyway, subversive swerve: My Fair Lady/Anastasia fusion AU where Ben is Eliza/Anastasia a secret foreign prince lost since he was 10, Rey is Higgins teaching him elocution while he teaches her how to people, F/nn is Pickering an aristocrat who picked Rey up as a foundling in India to be his companion shortly before he was orphaned himself, Han shows up as Mr Doolittle the con artist- he’s actually been in hiding with Ben because of a military coup in their country, Rose is Mrs Higgins, Leia’s the Queen of Transylvania- she doesn’t know where Han and Ben are, Luke is the Hungarian, R2 and 3P0 are both Mrs Pearce, and Poe is Freddy- he’s obsessed with the mystery of Rey’s origins and has always annoyed her deeply because of this but he’s 100% fooled by her Ben project and never questions his origins, annoying her even more.)
Arranged marriage is always great and I will always take more.
My BIGGEST WISH and constant frustration is still the one I’ve mentioned a few times, which is that there’s hardly any fics that actually play their forbidden secret relationship and have them get caught red-handed somehow. The entire set up is BEGGING for this kind of drama and no one does it. Basically, I just want Rey getting caught being in love with Ben by the Resistance and needing to deal with their reactions. I can’t believe how rare this is and I extra can’t believe that even when people do it they almost to a fault completely gloss over the fallout. Aka: the point of doing it.
I’m so big on that huge psychological shockwave of everyone !!finding out!! a person/situation isn’t at all what they thought. I’m super, super big on the melodramatic romance potential of her needing to defend how much she loves him in public. I have a thing about emotional vindication and given one of Rey’s biggest problems is her repression and refusal to face things, where one of Ben’s biggest problems is that he doesn’t believe he can be loved for himself or that anyone will fight for him…………………..
Guys,
the drama
the romance. The humour potential. The perfect character through-lines! WHY.
#tropes#reylo#the fact that no one has ever written the canonverse post-tlj fic I want to read means I should be writing it#but I'm the worst and still haven't finished my last fic#and I am forbidden from starting new chaptered stories until i do#also I should really take my rage about tros and use it to write an original novel with an epic redemption love story#I brushed off the fantasy adventure I wrote two chapters of and abandoned and I'm going to make the love interest a patricidal sad boy#rewrite the whole thing to have a monster romance redemption arc#the heroine is going to save him and they are going to have a disgustingly happy ending with weddings and babies and a field of wildflowers#some people do the FO finding out stuff but I don't really care about that#evil people finding out about your secret relationship just means they have a thing to use against you and it's pretty pat#Ben doesn't have real relationships with those people and they all just want to use him#what interests me is the people who think they know you needing to deal with a revelation and needing to reassess something they thought#was simple#this is probably exactly why I like monster romance as well#I like BIG gaps being crossed RADICAL reassessments#I love unlikely relationships being made public to disbelieving bystanders idk#so much reylo fic has them just as partitioned off and isolated as tros does- where the plots are in separate post codes & it doesn't matter#as much as I prefer the focus be pretty tight on the romance they need to exist in the world and desperately need to be reintegrated and#join society#both of them#but I want more fallout- like just in general always#let things have an actual impact which ripples through the whole narrative and AFFECTS the characters#I read so much fanfic specifically because mainstream fiction has become allergic to fallout and emotional consequences

Rosemary The Fox
Meet Rosemary (NOT MINE ;))) )
Lmao….I like how you preemptively tagged this ‘Mod Bright’.
EDIT: Sheesh, I’m getting to this way late. I started reviewing this when I was sent in, but I have no clue why I abandoned it. Anyhow, I’ll finish it now.
Name: Rosemary the (pirate)fox
Oh no……my poor name rule…….*puts head in hands*….Okay but in all honestly I think they’re just having their fun here, I’m going to critique it to my standards but I’m a firm believer in things being alright as long as they make sense in context.
Age: 21 Gender: Female Species: Fennec Fox
With this reference image I’m a little unclear of whether this is a kind of AU or not, but it seems like she’s meant to be taken as an animatronic despite her being drawn in human forms. Which is cool! I think it’s cool. As such, I’m assuming the age listed is like…her mental age as an animatronic, and/or the age she died at (skimmed ahead a bit and this seems to be a case of ‘possessed animatronic’).
Also specifying fennec fox as a species/design inspiration adds a little bit of flavor here, despite her name simplifying it to just ‘fox’! I think it’s a good compromise between wanting a more exotic species for your OC and wanting a species simple enough for any child to understand.
Sibling: Emily Bunny/Sunny
Is Sunny another name of Emily Bunny’s or is it another person? It. Might be best to clarify this. Children: Stitched the Lion Ragdoll and Patches the Rabbit Ragdoll Height: 5 ft. and 8 in.
As a human or as an animatronic? Either way this probably works out! My first thought is ‘wow that’s a small animatronic’ but honestly it does make sense for her to be built smaller, and it’s been done irl plenty of times. Bio: When Rosemary was alive her name was Orchid Flower. She adopted Leona (Stitched) and Promise (Patches). She wanted children but she didn’t find anyone that she loves that much and back. (I’m assuming this means she wanted children but she couldn’t find a partner who she was willing to have children with. I do like this plot point, though I think it should be expanded upon! I’m not an expert, but 21 sounds kind of young for adoption, and she would’ve had to prove that she’s able to provide a stable life for these children and whatnot. I do also think there are some barriers that single aspiring parents struggle with when trying to adopt vs couples, so that would be something to write about too.) She was helping to design the animatronics for *Sugar Kitty’s Ice Cream and Pizza* and when the animatronics where built, she was showing Shimmer, Taylor and her sister Sunny. They were killed. (Who are Shimmer and Taylor? Who killed them? And how did Leona and Promise die? If they didn’t die with Orchid, what happened to them after her death? Did they go to another foster parent? Otherwise, I think this is a good set-up, and a good reason for Orchid to be at an animatronic restaurant - after all, she was designing the robots, and I don’t think it’s far-fetched for her to want to show people close to her her hard work in real life.) Orchid possessed Rosemary. Rosemary wasn’t intended to be a pirate it’s just that they didn’t have enough money for the hand so they made her a pirate. (I was going to question this but like. Yeah fair. It’s an easier explanation for her hand being missing than anything else, but there were some ways the missing hand could’ve been taken other than the pirate route (for lack of a better example, see Funtime Freddy. Was,, did he exist when this submission was sent in??? When was this submission sent in-)) After two years of opening Sugar Kitty’s was law sued by Fazbears entertainment because of Rosemary being a *Pirate Fox* like Foxy the Pirate fox. To avoid being shut down they kept Rosemary in her “cove”(their were being law sued for that too). (Yeah this makes sense.) She doesn’t comes out her cove except to say hi to the night watch. There was one time where she was repaired and had her left eye and hand. but it didn’t last. (Why didn’t it last? Was it before or after the lawsuit? Did they try to remake her into something other than a ‘pirate fox’?)
Overall the backstory is lacking in detail but makes sense in general and has a lot of potential. As for my last point, I can definitely see her being fixed and the public just. Not having a good reaction to her character suddenly changing, so that might be why her being fixed ‘didn’t last’.
Personality: Sensitive/doubtful/ She’s sensitive, gentle but she could get a bit ruff. She’s the type of person that speaks in a sad toned voice. She holds grudges that she will never forget but person she has a grudge against wouldn’t even remember it but she’ll give them multiple changes. She walks around like she’s sad and has a storm cloud above her. She could be bubbly at times but that’s when she's trying her best to contain herself. She sometimes think that she doesn’t have emotions. When ever someone angers her she says all the bad things in her head. to best summarize it she bottles up her emotion
This section is kind of awkwardly written, but I get the gist. She’s sensitive and gentle but can get rough in certain situations. She’s generally a very sad person and it shows, and she’s quick to hold grudges for things that sometimes aren’t even important. It’s the trauma ™. I think this is a good personality description to start with, but as an animatronic OC I think it would do her some good to write out how she acts around children/how Rosemary (the animatronic) has been programmed to act around children. Has the programming been completely taken over by Orchid’s spirit? Does Orchid work together with the programming? These are some questions that should be considered, I think. Likes: She likes to isolate herself in her “cove”, she likes to draw even though she’s a *lefty* she would tie a pencil to her hook and draw, she likes to sing too, green, blue, flowers, music, plush toys, unicorns(fairytales), she likes to be around the people she’s used to
This is cute. <:) Dislikes: Moving she’s lazy but she might run around, people making fun of her, people whining, hard core gore
Yeah fair, but children are whiny. How does she act around them if she’s in a children-targeted restaurant? Powers/abilities: She has vines that comes out of her back. They only come out when she angry or she actually needs it. But when they come out it hurts her and. When she little angry they’ll only come out a little. But when she extremely angry they’ll come out all the way. But the problem is that most of the time her anger turn into tears. With the vines that has thorns she could extend them. When ever she gets sad thorns would grow on her face starting from under eye patch. They would grow as her sadness would grow. At any time she could summon a veinus fly trap and it doesn’t hurt. When she’s out of control the trap will convert her. When she’s happy or over came sadness roses, orchids or even any pink or red flowers.
How does this work? It could make some good sense with more worldbuilding but we didn’t get the worldbuilding necessary to justify these magical plant powers. Why does Rosemary have these powers? Did Orchid have these powers when she was alive? Is this somehow a part of the robot? Yyeah this should be given more thought.
Think of this what you will
(hey again Mod Bright)
Heheh. Hi.
Anyway, since there wasn’t an appearance section I’ll do some design critique down here-
The neon is kind of really bright! I’m not going to say it’s unpleasant to look at because I’m one of the few that actually quite likes these color schemes, but it feels like as a restaurant design it would be…unappealing to a wider audience. I do like the various alt designs, and I think Rosemary in general just looks super cute. The eyepatch is especially a nice touch! I like the heart. I didn’t get a fullbody of the actual animatronic form, so I can’t pass any judgement on that front, but aside from the neon green/teal I think the colors and outfits/accessories are really nice on the human designs! The pirate design in the middle is especially nice, as all the darker browns balance out the bright hair really well.
Honestly, what keeps me from passing definite judgement is the fact that there seems to be a lot of information and character building missing here that may or may not be present in other places- aka, not the source of this art. For all I know, the things I asked for more elaboration on have already been elaborated on in other posts from this artist!
But with that, I’ll bring my review to a close. Overall? Good character! I like her for various reasons, and I’m intrigued to learn more about her (and the world she’s in, as it seems it doesn’t conform strictly to the rules of the FNAF universe).
-Mod Bright
ps: i. would like to credit this image if possible, since i don’t think the person who submitted this owns this character (if the ‘not mine ;)))’ is anything to go by. i don’t usually have a lot of luck with reverse image searches, though, so if anyone wants to take a crack at it please do!! i’ll edit this post with the artist when i find them.
Thank you, and have a wonderful 2020!

Real Salt Lake vs. Chicago Fire | 2018 MLS Match Preview
August 2, 201810:38AM EDT
Real Salt Lake vs. Chicago Fire 2018 MLS Regular Season — Week 23 Rio Tinto Stadium — Sandy August 4 – 10 pm ET WATCH: ESPN+, MLS LIVE on DAZN (Canada)
Clinging to the sixth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, Real Salt Lake are hoping their home form remains stellar when they face a faltering Chicago Fire team who could find themselves in 10th place in the Eastern Conference after the weekend.
RSL are coming off a 0-0 draw against San Jose, securing just the fifth point away from Rio Tinto this year, while the Fire have dropped five straight games, including consecutive losses to Toronto FC.
Chicago won 2-0 this past March in their most recent game against Real Salt Lake, which was their first win against them since Sept. 2011. The Fire went 3L-2D in the five games in between, per Opta.
Real Salt Lake
Points on the road have been at a premium for Real Salt Lake (9-9-4), so a 0-0 draw at Avaya Stadium — their second consecutive draw — wasn’t the worst result. But considering the Earthquakes have a league-worst 13 points, RSL certainly left San Jose disappointed.
Their best chance to take all three points came in the 54th minute when Justen Glad directed a header toward the far post, but Andrew Tarbell did well to range to his right and push aside the opportunity.
“They’re desperate and they’re dangerous and we responded,” RSL assistant coach Freddy Juarez said. “I thought for long portions of the game we had the ball and other portions we had to make it ugly, so it was just a mixture of phases where we were attacking and defending. But I think what the guys showed today was fight from the beginning to the end, which was great to watch.”

Notes: Albert Rusnák (six assists) and Damir Kreilach (six) are the first Real Salt Lake teammates with 6+ assists in a season since 2014 . . . Real Salt Lake are averaging 2.4 points per MLS home game this season (8W-01L-2D), the second most of any MLS club. It would be their most in a season since 2010.
Chicago Fire
After a 2-1 home loss to Toronto FC the previous week, Chicago (6-12-5) dropped a 3-0 decision to the same opponents Saturday at BMO Field, the club’s fifth consecutive defeat.
Following a scoreless first half, Jozy Altidore struck first for Toronto in the 52nd minute with Jonathan Osorio doubling the Reds lead in the 72nd minute and Sebastian Giovinco putting the game away one minute before full time.
“I think it’s very important to support our players,” Fire head coach Veljko Paunovic said. “We have to acknowledge that we didn’t have a good performance so far in some of the games, but we always gave our best. And when you see that, I think you have to acknowledge that and you have to recognize the effort the guys are putting in and you have to support everyone and give everything they need to recover for the next game. Most importantly to recover emotionally, to recover the mood.”

Patch: Revolutionising Our Approach to Plants
Keeping a plant alive can be tricky, and for many of us, having even a basic knowledge of plants is a pipe dream. However, with the rise in popularity of botanical interiors and house plants, good advice is always welcome, no matter how much knowledge you possess. This is why we met with Freddie Blackett, the founder of Patch – the online plant company who are revolutionising the gardening industry and helping us all make an educated and well-informed investment in our plants.
We want everyone to be given the chance to feel the benefits of having plants in their lives, however inexperienced or time-poor you might be.
The Story of Patch
Patch co-founders Freddie Blackett and Ed Barrow
IDEALIST: How did Patch come about?
The story of Patch started when I moved in with my girlfriend back in 2014. Clemmie had this unloved, empty balcony that I was determined to transform into an urban oasis but I realised quite quickly that, firstly, I knew absolutely nothing about plants nor gardening and, secondly, I was going to have to drive to the suburbs to find a half-decent garden centre. Even when I got there I didn’t know which plants I liked or which ones would work for my space. Through conversations with friends, I realised I wasn’t the only one struggling with a first foray into the world of plants and that’s when I came up with the idea for Patch.
IDEALIST: How did you realise there was a need for Patch?
Over the last year we’ve consistently grown by a third every month, with a lot of our customers coming back many times and more and more positive chatter on Instagram. I suppose it’s a combination of all this that has encouraged me that there’s a whole bunch of people out there who want a new, accessible and reliable way to bring some life into their homes and offices.
An Evolving Process
IDEALIST: From your initial thoughts to actually setting up Patch as a business – how long was this process?
The idea came to me back in 2014 but I knew I couldn’t commit to starting this business unless I developed a passion for plants myself. So I spent a year or so growing (and killing!) some more plants and gradually I found that I was getting the hang of it and falling in love with it. It was then in April 2016 that I left my job and went full time.
Uniqueness
IDEALIST: What makes Patch unique as a brand?
We make it easy for anyone to enjoy all the benefits that plants bring, especially to urban homes.
We do this in lots of different ways; from swapping out the Latin names of our plants for easy human names like Chaz and Howard, to providing detailed care instructions for every plant we sell. We want everyone to be given the chance to feel the benefits of having plants in their lives, however inexperienced or time-poor you might be.
IDEALIST: How did you market your brand in the initial stages?
We hand-delivered 10,000 flyers to new builds with balconies in East London over the Summer of 2016, then we started running ads on Google to people in London searching for plants. Now we focus on offering really inspirational and educational content on our Instagram, website and email newsletter – hoping to earn the attention of potential plant buyers by being genuinely helpful.
Challenges
IDEALIST: What have been your biggest challenges so far?
We’ve been expanding quickly so of course there have been growing pains. The gardening market is a very old-fashioned one – getting to grips with that has been both our biggest challenge and probably our most important achievement.
Top Suggestions
IDEALIST: Regarding plants in the home, what are your current top 3 suggestions for those living in London who have little time?
Do some research before you get started. For example, choosing the right home for a plant in your space i.e. a sunny vs. shady spot is half the battle of setting up the right environment for it to survive. We have great care instructions for each of the plants we sell on their product page and a beginner’s plant guide which can be downloaded for free here.
Buy in quality plants. There’s a big difference between buying plants from a supermarket and buying from a good plant retailer. It costs a bit more but they’ll be far harder to kill.
Finally, a big one that lots of people don’t know is that over-watering is often worse for plants than under-watering. We find novice plant-owners will reach for the watering can too soon when a plant’s looking a bit worse for wear. The best way to find out if a plant needs water is to stick your finger in the soil two inches down and feel how dry it is.
