NO BUT YOU'RE RIGHT ABOUT THE SBI/DTEAM VILLAIN/HEO THING. literally if ANYTHING c!dteam would be the misunderstood villain team, or like, probably more accurately just kind of morally complex. like. they dont even have to be secretly good or whatever you just have to take one look at c!dream who is like the poster boy of "has good intentions probably, makes lots of fucked up decisions" and i wish that fic took the angle they normally take with c!sbi (introduced as villains but then shown a softer/sympathetic side) with c!dteam. please. it'd be so interesting i'm BEGGING for it to be written

like. you know people can write whatever they want, but it's specifically amusing to me because "group of people get painted as the villains to justify + validate the actions of some other entity that involves a level of corruption" ...happens in canon. like literally explicitly happens in canon. like that was the platform Pog2020 was more or less running on? Pog2020 which had planned on you know, the whole one-party election thing?? that happened???

like there's a very real, in-universe "heroes and villains" narrative that quite honestly permeated just about everything post-lmanburg's conception...and people writing fic based on the dsmp. completely flipped it? genuinely fascinating to me every time
