The time for your exams was approaching, and your fears and panic attacks were starting to take hold. And as if that was not enough, Chris was about to fly to LA and start working on a new film. A time of challenges and sacrifices awaited you, but you were aware of it by agreeing to be the actor's girlfriend.
Chris started to notice that something bad was happening to you and the worst that he felt helpless and guilty. Everything was starting to be on your head. So he had an idea that could help you both relax a bit and get away from reality. So while you were in class, he made a few calls to prepare a surprise. Then he packed both of you, making it so that you wouldn't get suspicious.
The next day you were off work and school, so you wanted to sleep a little longer than usual. Your wonderful fiancé had other plans, however, and so at 4 am you were sitting in the car, mad at him for waking you up at such a non-human hour and not saying where he was taking you. Dodger slept soundly in the backseat without worrying about anything, while you, wrapped in a blanket and with your arms crossed over your chest, wanted to force Chris to say the slightest word of explanation.
"Come on, Princess. You can't be mad at me all trip "
“I can and will. It's 4 AM Christopher ?! I slept for two hours thanks to you because I would like to remind you that someone wanted to have sex in the shower, which later turned into several rounds in the bathroom and bedroom. And now you drag me, who knows where and for what. So I'll be mad at you as long as you don't tell me what's going on. ” you practically snarled at him like Dodger when he was unhappy with his dad's teasing and turned your head to the window.
Somehow you managed to fall asleep and when you woke up it was already light and the landscape behind the car window began to change suddenly. The terrain was more mountainous, the trees grew closer together, suggesting you had entered the forest, and everything was covered with a white down snow duvet. You straightened up in the seat, emitting a soft wow and opening your eyes wider as a beautiful view of the mountains emerged from behind the trees.
"Do you like it?"
"Very" you couldn't take your eyes off the sight of "Are you taking me to a cabin in the mountains?" you narrowed your eyes at him suspiciously.
"Yup" answered, they accentuate the last letter in his distinctive way.
You never thought you would feel like the fanfiction you secretly read when Chris was working, and you had a moment to spare and didn't want to disturb him. You had the phrase that you were dreaming and someone would wake you up, or it would turn out to be a joke. But it all turned out to be true when you suddenly parked next to a wooden house by a lake situated in a small valley. You were surrounded by mountains, and the frozen surface of the lake reflected the sun, giving you a breathtaking view.
"Do you like it?" you felt a man's strong arms wrap around your waist and pull you against your hard chest.
“Very much what I did that you took me here. Or what did you do, Mr. Evans, ”you turned to be face to face with him.
"And does the fact that I love you very much and wanted to spend some time with my future wife before everything goes crazy around us count for a sufficient reason?"
You couldn't hold back the tears that started to flow down your cheeks. "What I did to deserve you."
Chris smiled and wiped the saltwater drops from your face.
"The question is what have I done to deserve you?" He leaned in and kissed you on the lips with all the love he had for you.
After you packed your bags home (which also surprised you that Chris had both of you packed and he knew exactly what you would take for such a trip) you went to a nearby town for breakfast and then for a walk. When it got dark, Chris lit the fireplace and you prepared cheese and wine. You both sat on the blankets in front of the fireplace and sat in complete silence, enjoying your presence. You didn't need much to be happy. It was enough that you had each other, in a warm cottage and the peace surrounding you.
You felt Chris starting to place gentle kisses against your neck. You had no intention of protesting, you smiled eagerly as you tilted your head to ease his access. The sweet kisses and the gentle tickle of his chin started to light a fire in you.
He wrapped his arms around you in a moment and you let my head rest upon his chest. All your thoughts stopped as if your heart took over from your head when you were close. Next, he would squeeze as if he needed to check you were really there with him, really there and really real... and you was, body and soul. You doubt anyone else ever felt the way you do about being in his arms.
You closed your eyes allowing you to surrender to the feeling. The warmth of his hands under your sweater and the chimney puff made you feel your body on fire.
"You don't have a bra. Naughty girl," Chris whispered to your ear in a voice that sent shivers down your body.
Soon after, you were both lying naked in front of the fireplace, his cock deep inside you, your bodies close not allowing the slightest break, hands clasped above your head, and your bodies illuminated only by the light from the fire.
"I love you, princess," Chris whispered, never taking his eyes off your green eyes, with which tears were shedding as a result of how well you felt and how happy you were.
His slow movements did not allow you to be quiet. Moans came out of your mouth, which for Chris was the most beautiful sound in the world. He started kissing you with an open kiss, joining your tongues in an erotic and passionate dance. You did so much at once, you knew you wouldn't last long. Chris smiled and broke off the kiss.
"I can feel you squeezing me. You're close. Don't hold back. Come on for me. Come on baby, I've got you."
You wrapped your legs around his torso, pulling him as low as possible and to keep him as deep in you as possible. After a while, your whole body trembled and you were overcome by an orgasm, you moaned his name, and tears streaming down your cheeks. Not even for a second, you didn't take your eyes off his blue pupils, which were now dark with lust. You've never had an orgasm like this before, and you've had a lot of them thanks to Chris's skill in bed. Shortly after that, he growled and you felt him cum inside you painting your walls and filling you. You both lay motionless trying to get off your peak. You braided your fingers through his hair as Chris had his face tucked in the crease of your neck.
"I love you, I love you as I have never loved anyone," you said kissing his shoulder.
"I love you too. You are the one for me, Princess"
The next morning
You woke up naked in soft white sheets, alone. You stretched and you weren't even surprised when you smelled coffee and fried eggs. You got up and put on one of Chris's sweaters, pulling the fabric up to your nose for a moment and inhaling his scent.
"Good morning"
"Good morning handsome" you kissed him and sat down in the chair.
"I'm sorry you didn't wake up with me, but I wanted to make us breakfast in bed."
"I'm not angry. I don't think any woman would be angry about it if she found what I did after entering the kitchen." you smiled looking at the pancakes and scrambled eggs on the table, plus sliced fruit and hot coffee.
Suddenly you heard a bark. You both turned to see Dodger sticking his head out between the sockets of the stair railing. You started laughing when the pooch had a sad face saying you left me alone in the evening and you didn't take care of me. Chris of course took a picture and posted it on his Instagram then called him for breakfast.
You felt like in a fairy tale or a dream. And you wouldn't give it up for anything in the world, because you knew that nowhere you will find the happiness Chris gave you and the way you felt being with him. Not only were you the one for him, but he was also the one for you. Age difference? Fuck it. You loved each other and you made each other happy, so nothing to anyone. It wasn't just your life anymore, it was yours and you knew that with a man like Chris, you would walk through life with the most supportive and wonderful person in the world by your side. You were happy and, above all, for the first time in your life, you felt that anything was possible.

i looked over his newest Instagram post and sighed. god was i that desperate? simping over my best friend? of course i was, but we'd known each other long enough that i knew nothing would ever come of it. when my phone dinged it almost startled me, prompting me to look up at the new text notification. it was my mother. i sighed, opening it and reading it.
"dads sick, doctor says its viral so we wont be able to do Christmas this year. i hope you and your siblings can get together to do something else but if not that's okay. we both hope you have a blessed Christmas anyway and will be mailing gifts out in the next week. love you."
i hummed to myself before answering her.
"hope dad gets better soon and send him my best. i don't see any of them making plans to get together but i guess we'll see. ill mail gifts too if you're okay with that and hopefully ill see you in the new year. love you both."
i closed my phone and set it upside down on my chest, rubbing my hands over my face.
"so much for getting out of the house."
i said to myself. then my phone dinged again, making me roll my eyes in annoyance. to my surprise though it was a text from Chris.
"mom cancelled Christmas this year cause they won a cruise lol. you doing anything?"
i sat up abruptly and typed back.
"my dads sick so mine was cancelled too. when and where do you want me? lol"
i waited patiently for a second before seeing a new message.
"hope he gets better soon. but how about Christmas eve, dinner at my place?"
i nodded quickly to myself.
"ill be there."
---
when the day finally came i wasn't quite sure what to do with myself. we'd hung out millions of times but this was the first time we'd be together for Christmas alone. usually we all had a party with the band and other friends but that was pushed to new years. lets just say i was beyond nervous. plus he told me to dress nice, whatever that meant. no matter what it meant to him, here i was stood in front of my full body mirror, looking over the sparkling blue velvet dress i had on.
"this is too fancy."
i said, moving to my closet. as i started flipping through things i heard my phone buzz. it was Chris.
"you on your way?"
i looked to the time. shit, it was almost six.
"getting my shoes on now. ill be there in fifteen."
i replied. so much for changing. i grabbed a Christmas jumper and pajama pants just in case and shoved them in a bag, pulling my heels on and running out the door. the car ride was fairly quiet, apart from the light Christmas music playing through the radio and my complains about the snow. i wish i would've known it was supposed to snow but it was a little late for that i guess.
as i pulled into his apartment complex parking lot i could see his Christmas tree through the open window. it looked nice, covered in colorful lights and shiny ornaments. i got out of my car and walked quickly across the lot and up the stairs to the second floor, knocking on his door and shivering as the snow flew around me. when he opened the door he offered a wide smile.
"hey! how's it going?"
he asked as he pulled me in for a hug. i breathed in deeply, trying to warm up.
"I'm good, and you?"
i asked as he let me into his apartment. i still felt over dressed, even seeing him in his button down and tie, the two peaking out from under his sweater.
"oh ya know, same old same old. i hope you're hungry, cause dinners about ready."
he said excited and i laughed.
"you know me, never not hungry."
i said and he sent me a knowing look.
"how about you go sit, and ill bring it out."
he said, motioning to the made up table. i nodded.
"you sure you dont want help with anything?"
i asked and he shook his head.
"of course not, you get to be the guest this time, now go relax."
he instructed.
"okay, okay, im going."
i said as he pointed, a demanding look on his face.
---
after dinner we both worked on dishes and things before moving to the couch, the lights all out except the tree as he looked for a movie to watch.
"im glad we could get together for this."
he said, clicking the remote and i smiled.
"you and me both. i think this is the first year i would've been alone since moving out of my parents place."
he laughed a little bit.
"you and me both. even when im not home i still usually have the band to be with."
i nodded solemnly.
"speaking of which, how are they all doing? i feel like i haven't talked to any of them in a while."
i said and he shrugged.
"theyre as good as they always are, keeping busy thats for sure. but youll get to see them for new year."
he mentioned and i nodded.
"yeah i guess so."
it was quiet for a moment, and i looked over him, his focus still on the tv.
"got any suggestions?"
he asked and i hummed.
"uh, no, not really."
i said bashfully, catching his eye when he turned his head with a frown. i guess i wasnt exactly making it subtle that i was staring at him huh? oh well.
"how about die hard?"
he asked and i laughed.
"oh yeah, a christmas classic."
i said sarcastically as he clicked on it.
"you know it."
he said, setting the remote on the coffee table, settling back into the couch. i thought for a second before slipping my arm into his and resting my head on his shoulder.
"you cold?"
he asked and i nodded, looking up as he pulled the blanket off the back of the couch and down over me.
"thanks."
i said, getting comfortable against him again. we sat like that for most of the movie, until i heard him yawn, then he moved to rest his head against mine. i smiled to myself, sliding my hand slowly into his as it rested against my knee. when the movie finally ended neither of us moved.
"ya know, it looks pretty bad out there, maybe you should stay."
he said, never once looking away from the tv. i could feel a small smile making its way to my lips as we sat there cuddled together on the couch.
"you sure? i wouldnt want to be an inconvenience."
i said, feeling his head lift off mine and prompting me to look at him. he squeezed my hand.
"you're never an inconvenience. and besides i wouldnt want you to get stuck in the snow or anything."
i smiled at him.
"i guess i cant argue with that logic, huh."
i confirmed and he nodded his head once.
"great, we can watch another movie then and then go to bed together."
he said, freezing for a second.
"i mean, uh, not together together. but, like, uh-"
he said, flustered, tripping over his words. i pressed a finger to his lips gently.
"its okay chris. i get what you mean."
i said and he sighed.
"fuck it, i did mean together."
he said, slipping his hand out of mine and bring it up to cup my face. he pushed forward and kissed me fervently. a thousand things rushed through my brain at once as i melted into his touch but at the moment none of them mattered. all that mattered was that he felt the same. when he pulled away i didnt open my eyes just yet, sitting there trying to engrave into my memory exactly what he felt and tasted like. when i opened my eyes he was staring down at me, his lips sucked in like he messed something up.
"wow."
i said softly, laughing a little bit.
"im sorry, i shouldn't have done that."
he said, looking down. i shook my head.
"like hell."
i said, making him look to me in shock. i grabbed his face and kissed him again, his hand moving to the back of my head as our mouths moved together. when we both pulled away for air we panted lightly, smiling at each other like idiots.
"it took ya long enough."
i said, making him laugh.
"merry christmas y/n."
he said, stroking my cheek lightly with his thumb and i could feel a blush rising to my face.
"merry christmas chris."

AIN'T NO TIME LIKE 1969 by: be-the-creatue-fan. (Its a long one)
Chapter 1
Its was a quiet day at the Tortuga, ever since self quarantine started things were very quiet in the creature world. The Wild Kratts team were trying to keep busy, Chris and Martin were trading creature power discs again, Koki was making sure there was no Villain activity, Jimmy was playing his video games and Aviva was working on her inventions.
"It's Done!" Aviva said with excitement.
"What is?" asked everyone else.
"The Time Trampoline! Its finally been restored to its former glory."
Chris's face lit up with a tear in his eye, finally after over a year of waiting, the time trampoline was finished.
"So, Chris are you ready to test it out?" Martin asked.
"You don't have to ask me twice! So, Aviva how far back can this time machine go?"
"Well lucky for you Bros, this baby can go all the way back to the Jurracic Time Period!"
"For real!?" The Brothers said.
"Do you know what this means Chris?!" "We can finally see your fossil collection come to life!!!"
Chris was so excited he couldn't speak.
"Well what are you guys waiting for? You guys can visit them right now!"
So the Kratt brothers got ready to go back in time to see the dinosaurs, but little did they know that trouble was lurking close by.
"Uug Finally she finished her time trampoline thingy" Zach said as he walked towards his invisibility cloak. "It's finally time to defeat those Wild Rats once and for all!
Chapter 2
"Are you guys all set" Koki asked
"Ha! I was born ready!" Chris said as he climbed on the trampoline.
Once both Brothers were on the trampoline the countdown started, not just for the Wild Kratts team but for Zach as well.
"5.....4.....3.....2.....1....ze-" just before the team could say zero, Zach came out of nowhere and pushed Martin off the trampoline and destroyed one part of it as Chris made it into the time connection. Martin could only watch in horror as the time connection started to close right behind Chris. As Chris saw the time connection close up, he knew that he had to travel to a time period more recent then what he originally planned or he would be toast. So without thinking Chris threw the other smaller time trampoline just right infront of him and narrowly avoided his ultimate doom.
June 20th 1969 (9:52pm) Warren NJ
Chris found himself in a tree with the trampoline just under him. As Chris jumped on to the trampoline he couldn't help but feel that where ever he was at felt familiar in a way but he still didn't know where or when he was at, so he just packed up the trampoline and started to wander the streets. After walking for about an hour Chris began to feel tried and hungry and the feeling of being lost and alone didn't help. Just then, as he was walking near an alley way he felt a large tug on his arm and with one swift move he found himself on the ground being beaten up by a small gang of thieves. He could feel them snatch the time trampoline away as they ran away. Chris continued to lie on the cement motionless until he found the courage to get up and keep walking. He was still in shock and didn't know how badly he was hurt, and couldn't tell if he was sweating or losing blood but as he kept walking, everything kept becoming more and more familiar. Chris finally found himself infront of his childhood home and because of the pain and exhaustion he had felt, he clasped in the front yard only hidden by a bush.
Chapter 3
"CHRIS!" Martin screamed as he gased up at the time connection which had just closed. "Zach! Look what you have done now!" Martin looked at Zach with a murderous intent in his eyes. In a split second Martin leaped towards Zach and proceeded to put him in a choke hold. The rest of the Wild Kratts gang had to pry Martin off of Zach. But before Zach could escape, Aviva used the robotic arms to keep a hold on Zach.
"So Zach, What in the Creature World was that all about?!?!" Martin angrily asked.
"I don't have to say if I don't want too." Zach responded with a smirk on his face.
"Listen here you little sh-"
"MARTIN, LANGUAGE!!!" Koki said to quickly interrupt Martin.
"Dang, Martin. Sombody please remind me never to mess with Chris." Jimmy said in a kind of joking manner.
"Jimmy?"
"Yes Martin?"
"Shut up."
After a moment of awkward silence.....
"Oh Martin I was able to pick up a signal coming from the other trampoline." said Koki.
"Really? Where at do you know if Chris made it?"
"Well there was activity after the trampoline made it so he was able to escape the closing of the time connection, however I cant pinpoint where he is at but I know when."
"Well when was it?"
(Back with Chris in 1969.....)
It was 8:00 on the 21st day of June and it was a beautiful first day of summer. Linda Kratt who was 8 months pregnant with her 4th kid decided to sit on the porch outside and relax in the summer breeze. That when she noticed something on her front yard. As she walked closer to it thinking that it was probably a possum or a raccoon, to her suprize it was a man who's face was very swollen. At first she thought about calling the authorities, but saw that he had probably had gone through enough and probably needed a proper place to heal back up. So using a little bit of ingenuity she used her eldest son's wagon to put the man in and she pulled the wagon inside and she put him on the couch to rest up.
Chapter 4
Chris finally started to come around and the first thing he noticed was the kid who was staring back at him.
"Martin?" Chris said in a quiet raspy voice.
"Martin! what did I tell you don't disturb the nice young man!" Linda sternly told Martin as she shooed him away. "I'm so sorry about that I hope he didn't wake you."
"Oh, no he didn't wake me Mom" Chris said still a little dazed.
"Mom?" Linda said confused.
"Oh! I meant Mamm sorry."
"Oh that's alright dear, say you look familiar, do I know you from somewhere?"
"Um no I don't think so" Chris stuttered as he tried to get up. "I would like to thank you for your hospitality but I need to be on my way" as Chris stood up he became very light headed and he stumbled as he tried to walk, almost falling again for the 2nd time.
"Oh no I insist you must stay here and rest" she brought Chris back to the couch and it didn't take long for him to fall back asleep.
Linda then tried calling her husband Bill Kratt at his work but there was no answer. A few hour later Chris woke up again and started walking towards the kitchen to get something to drink but he would struggle with trying to stay awake. His head was pounding and he would black out at times but eventually he made it into the kitchen and got himself a glass of water. As he was walking back to the couch, Bill came back from work.
"What the hell are you doing in my house!!!" Bill shouted as he ran towards Chris and tackled him.
Chris was to weak to respond and passed out in fear.
"Bill! Get off of him he's hurt!" Linda screamed.
"Linda you and the kids stay back!" I'll teach him a lesson not to enter the house of Bill Kratt!"
It wasn't easy but eventually Linda calmed Bill down and explained him the whole situation. Chris once again woke up on the couch but this time it late at night.
He could hear Bill and Linda taking in the room next to his.
"I don't trust him Linda, he seems like someone who goes out looking for trouble"
"Well, what makes you say that Bill?"
"You saw how badly beaten up he is, he was probably looking for it. I'm just glad that no son of mine will ever end up like him."
"Bill, what's the real reason why you don't like him?"
"I guess I'm just worried about you,the kids and the baby. when I saw him in our house I thought something terrible happened."
"Oh I'm so sorry Honey, I tried calling your work phone but there was no answer.
"Its ok Love, I'm just glad you're ok."
Chapter 5
(Back in Present day.....)
Martin couldn't sleep that night. All he could think about was how would Chris ever return home. Aviva and Koki spent the whole day trying to figure out a way to fix the time trampoline as quickly and efficiently as possible, Jimmy was keeping a guard on Zach, and Martin was mostly trying to figure out where Chris could be. It was very odd though, Martin started recalling a moment shortly before Chris was born when a man came and visited his house for some reason that he couldn't remember, he didn't know why he was recalling this memory or why it came to mind just then but he tried to not pay attention to it and continued on with his day.
"How's the Time Trampoline Aviva?"
"Well, its coming along, luckily Zach wasn't strong enough to break the main part of the trampoline but its gonna take a while to fix it well enough to get Chris back."
"How long would that be?"
"About 2 weeks"
"2 weeks?! How would we know if he's even still alive in 2 weeks?"
"Ha! Wow most of my plan worked better than expected" Zach yelled out loud.
Martin didn't take that very well and the team had to restrain him as well before there was any bloodshed.
For the next few days The whole Wild Kratts team did their part to fix the time trampoline.
(Back in 1969.....)
Chris continued to slowly get better and even helped Linda out with some of the chores when she was to tired to do them.
"So when is the baby due?" Chris asked even though he knew the answer
"In about another month or so. But sometimes, I wish it would come sooner then later. It's not easy having to be pregnant and also have 3 other little ones, but I love my children and wouldn't want it any other way."
Just then Martin ran up to his Mom.
"Mommy can I go outside?"
"Sure Honey" just make sure when you go outside where stay in the front yard where I can see you."
"Yes Mommy I will. Come on Heidi!" Then a Saint Bernard puppy ran out of Martin's room and went outside with him.
Chris really missed Heidi and was very happy to see her, but he had to contain his excitement in order to not act suspicious.
"Heh, Heidi that's a cute name for a dog"
(Back in present day)
"Martin are you alright?" asked Jimmy
"No"
"What's wrong?"
Martin glances at Jimmy with tears in his eyes.
"I let Chris down Jimmy, I'm a terrible brother, I was supposed to protect him, and I failed."
"Martin this is not your fault. We're going find him and get him back."
"Well, if he's not dead by then!" Zach blurted out.
(Dead silence)
Chapter 6
(Back in 1969.....)
Its been one week since Chris went back in time. Chris was still recovering from his injuries but has since gain the trust of Bill.
"So um Chris that your name, right?"
"Um yes sir."
"Where are you from Chris?"
"Oh um I travel a lot but I grew up here and I was supposed to um meet my brother at a um a bus station I waited for a while and so I thought he might of been talking about the other one that's not to far away from here but as I was walking over there I got mugged and the next thing I know it, I wake up on the couch."
Chris knew he couldn't tell the truth, he knew that every action he does could affect the outcome of the future, even his own. All of a sudden Chris had a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach.
"Bill.....Bill!...BILL!"
"Linda what is it?!"
"Bill! We have to go to the hospital, it's the baby, something's wrong!"
Chris sinking feeling turned into a pain and then into agony. He felt like throwing up, he wanted to scream, the pain was starting to become unbearable, he didn't know what to do.
"Chris are you ok?"
"YEAH BILL I'LL BE FINE JUST HELP THE BABY!"
"Ok, Chris I'm going to take you both to the hospital."
"NO JUST TAKE YOUR WIFE! I'll be fine just take your wife and I'll be fine, ok?"
"Alright, let's go Linda"
A few hours pass the pain was still there.
"Where's Mommy and Daddy?"
Chris looked up to see Martin stareing back at him.
Chris didn't know what to say, he was in so much pain. He didn't know if he would survive. He looked back at Martin.
"Mom and Dad are at the hospital, But don't worry, they're going to be ok."
After saying those words, the pain started to go away.
"Martin, I need you to remember something."
"What is it?"
"When your older, you are going to feel like you have to protect your siblings from danger, and that's good, but sometimes when you can't, don't feel like it's your fault, ok?"
(Back in Present day....)
"Oh my gosh I know where Chis is!"
"Martin it's 4:00 in the morning, where do you possibly think he's at?"
"He's at my house, in 1969, I remember him, but I don't know how, but he possibly can be the same man."
"Unless he's currently changing the past and adding new memories, that would explain why you keep having these new memories from your past!"
After a lot of thought Aviva just released something.
"This isn't good"
"What is it Aviva?"
"If Chris keeps talking or interacts with your family, this could jeopardize our past and present day selves. The Wild Kratts team might not even exist."
"Well there isn't any time to waste!" Koki piped up.
"Koki is right let's get to work."
Chapter 7
(Back in 1969.....)
After a while Linda and Bill came back from the hospital
"How's the baby?" Chris asked
"The baby is fine, thankfully"
"That's good"
"Chris, I would like to thank you for watching the kids for us, I hope there wasn't any trouble."
"Oh no there was no trouble at all"
"Are you sure we don't know you from somewhere?"
"Ummmm not that I'm aware of? But you guys have been so kind to like if I was your own son *cough*"
"I just hope your brother isn't worried about you"
"Oh I'm sure he's not that worried about me."
(Present day)
"ARE YOU GUYS DONE YET?!?!?"
"Martin, CALM DOWN! We need about a few more days until we're done fixing it."
"A FEW DAYS? A FEW DAYS?! WE DON'T HAVE A FEW DAYS WE HAVE TO GET HIM BACK ASAP!"
"Look were trying to do the best we can, but time travel is complicated stuff"
"I know, I know, but I'm just worried about him. I just want to protect him, I want to know if he's safe."
"I think I've got it!"
"What is it Koki?"
"I fix the time trampoline just enough to get Chris back!"
"How?"
"I took a few short cuts and was able to allow the time trampoline to go back to the year 1969, which we know is the same time where Chris ended up in history. We just need to make sure we have a connection to the other trampoline for the time connection to open which might take about 6 or 7 hours to complete and 2 to 3 hours to locate the signal from the other trampoline."
(A few hours later)
"Alright I was able to track down the other time trampoline and it tells me that it was last used on June 20th 1969. However the time trampoline can only go back as far as July 4th 1969, Chris would most likely still be stuck in the past but it would still be a risky thing to do, considering that every action he make could affect our Present."
"If it's the best we can do so be it!" Martin said
"Ok let's go then"
So Martin went on the time trampoline as the rest of the team stayed behind to make sure absolutely nothing goes wrong. So Martin went through the time connection and went back to Warren NJ July 4th 1969 (9:00)
To Martin's surprise he landed in a junkyard.
"Hey Martin can you hear us?"
"Yea loud and clear, it's a good thing that my Creature Pod still works."
"Listen, you only have 1 hour to find Chris and get back here or else the time connection will close again and it might take a longer time to get you guys back to Present Day."
"Wait today is the 4th of July, right?"
"Yeah why?"
"Oh man I was afraid of that"
"Why?"
"For as long as I remember, my family would drive a half an hour to go watch the fireworks near the beach. If they had already left there's no way I can make it back in an hour."
Chapter 8
"Well, what if they didn't leave yet? Shouldn't it still be still light out?"
The sun was still out but was quickly setting.
"The sun is starting to set, I don't know where I am or how far away I am from where Chris is!"
"Martin, there's no time to lose! You only have one hour to find Chris before the time connection closes"
"I know, I know..... (sigh)"
So after a while of finding a way out of the junkyard he finally made his way onto the street. Martin looked at his watch. (9:05)
As Martin continued to roam the streets his surroundings became more and more familiar. A lot of memories began to flood his mind, some good and some bad. Martin eventually found himself infront of his old school that he, his sisters and Chris would walk to and from. Martin looked at his watch again (9:15). It was a 20 minute walk from his childhood home, if he was going to make it, he would have to make a run for it.
(With Chris 9:00)
Chris found himself looking out the window, something he did often as a kid. It has been just over 2 weeks since he got trapped in 1969, a lot have happened during those weeks. Chris figured that Martin would be here by now, the situation was probably worse than he thought. What if he never returns home.
"Chris?"
"Oh um... yes Linda?"
"Is everything alright?"
"(sigh) yea...I just. I've been waiting for my brother for over 2 weeks but I've heard nothing. What if he thinks I'm, um kidnapped or um dead? I'm just worried about him not being able to find me.
"Oh Chris you have been such a wonderful guest, and you can stay for as long as you need to until we can find your brother. What's his name, anyways?"
"Mar....vin, Marvin"
"Well I'm sure we'll find your brother Marvin soon"
"Thanks Mo....Mamm I really appreciate it"
"Linda are you and the kids about ready to go?"
"Almost Bill, I'll be ready in a bit. Chris are you sure you don't want to come with us to the fireworks show?"
"Actually yes I'll go with you guys ot might take a little bit of time to get ready"
"Great, just make sure you're ready by 9:30"
"Ok" Chris said as he looked at a nearby clock. (9:05) "that should be more than enough time to get ready"
(Back with Martin 9:20)
Martin's lungs started to burn after a minute and a half of running but he didn't stop him but after 5 minutes of running it was more than he could take, he was at the half way mark between the school and his house but his lungs felt like they were on fire. Martin slowed to a stop to catch his breath, but the words "Martin there is no time to lose" echoed in his head, he had to keep going. So after a quick break he trudge on.
Chapter 9
(9:27)
(With Chris)
"Ok I'm ready to go"
"Oh good, is everybody ready to go?"
"Um Mommy?" Little Martin said
"Yes Sweetie....Oh Good Heavens!"
While nobody was looking Martin decided to try to pour himself a glass of grape juice and accidentally spilled it all over the floor.
Linda rushed over to where the mess was grabbed a mop and started to clean the mess up as quickly as she could.
"Linda you are in no shape to clean this up" Bill said as he went to where Linda was. "Here, let me clean it up Dear."
"No Bill I got this! I can do this"
"But Linda you know what the doctor said, you need to take it easy during this last month."
After pausing for a while Linda gave the mop to Bill.
After Bill cleaned up the mess and was able to get situated once again, a faint knock was heard at the door.
"I'll get it!" Linda said as she speed walked towards the door.
(With Martin 1 minute before)
Martin could see the house in his sights, but was still very far away maybe even to far away.
"Come on Martin you have to get over there, but how?" Martin said to himself as he started to scan the area.
Alas, Martin finds what seems to be a scooter. "I hope who ever this belongs to won't mind me using it" he rode the scooter until he makes it infront of the house. As he walked up the steps to the door Martin felt a rush of relief as he made it just in time.
Linda opened the door and once Martin and her made eye contact she was utterly speechless.
Martin, also being very weirded out, barely able to collect his thoughts said "Good evening um Mamm, I've been looking for my brother have you se-
"MARTIN!" Chris yelled out as he ran and embraced him.
"Chris I'm so glad you're ok!"
Bill comes to see whose at the door and when he also saw Martin he too had become speechless. Little Martin confused by all of the silence from his parents goes up and introduces himself
"Hi my name is Martin, what's your name?"
"My name is Mar-"
"MARVIN!" Chris blurted out
"Yea Marvin..."
Martin looks at his clock, it was 9:33.
"Oh look at the time! Me and Chris have to go we were supposed to meet with a couple of friends two weeks ago but ever since Chris got lost we spent our time searching for him but we best be on our way."
"I would love to thank you for your hospitality Mr and Mrs. Kratt and I hope we can visit you in the future " Chris said as they headed out the door.
"Bye Chris! I hope you can visit us soon"
"Sooner than you think" Chris thought to himself.
As soon as they were out of sight Martin and Chris had the opportunity to tell there sides of what happened with them.
"Why didn't you tell them my name was something cooler?" Martin asked
"What name would be cooler?"
"Anything but Marvin"
They both laugh and after a while they were able to make it past the halfway point. Martin looked at his watch again and it was 9:45
"Come on Chris we need to pick up the pace if were going to make it to the time trampoline on time" when Martin looked up Chris was nowhere in sight "Chris?"
"Martin.....help me"
The same pain that Chris felt a week ago was back however it felt 10× worse he tried to breathe but it was like he was getting stabbed in the lungs. He became numb and weak, Chris looked up at Martin with terror in his eyes he knew what was going on.
"Martin I'm dying"
Chapter 10
"Chris......Chris........come one stay with me buddy..........Chris!"
Martin knew time was limited, so he lifted Chris and carried him on his back. He could feel Chris struggling to breathe, he didn't know how his brother who seemed healthy just a few minutes ago, to just trying to hang on to life.
"Come on Chris we're almost there just hang on"
They finally made it to the time trampoline. It was 9:55, Chris wasn't looking so well. Martin started to jump on the trampoline with Chris on he back, which made it a lot longer to get through the time connection.
"Martin, Chris, thank goodness your back" Aviva said with excitement.
"Aviva you have to help Chris! I don't know what wrong he was fine when earlier, but when we were on our way here he all of a sudden....."
Martin broke into tears
"Don't worry Martin, we will find out what's going on"
Chris was laying almost motionless barely able to comprehend what was going on around him. He couldn't feel anything as both Aviva and Koki hooked him up with tubes.
"His heart rate is very irregular, I don't know if he's going to make it"
A new memory popped into Martin's head.
"Wait, I think I know what's going on"
"What is it MK?"
"Both past and Present Chris are connected..." (to be continued...) tumblr won't let me finish.

Ricky Horror Fan Fiction - Under The Light Of A Full Moon
Tumblr media
Prompt: Full Moon
Word-count: 2200 words
Warnings: none
Description: Unlike seemingly every other Werecreature on the planet, Ricky hates the full moon and everything about it...until he doesn't, thanks to Motionless In White's new merch girl.
In the past, were-creatures had worshipped the moon as a deity.
With the full moon, their abilities were at the strongest: shifts were easier, all their senses were more sensitive, the whole world felt like it was alight with energy. Magic felt like it was dancing through the air, and to a were-creatures and shifters, there was nothing that made them feel more alive than the night of the full moon.
 Except for Ricky.
 Ricky hated the full moon.
He despised it, loathed it, detested it, reviled it, abhorred it, felt revolted by it, was unable to stomach it…
Words never seemed enough to describe how much Ricky hated the full moon, despite how often Chris rolled his eyes and complained that, for someone who felt that way, Ricky certainly used enough of them, but that was the truth. Where other shifters felt at their most alive with all the magic in the air, Ricky just felt itchy. The full moon made him uncomfortable, no matter what skin he wore…and worse than that, he never felt more alone than he did on the night of the full moon.
The other shifters in the band didn’t get it; they weren’t like Ricky. Chris was a puma, he loped off to be on his own when he shifted, usually to go and sleep high up in the tree branches, abandoning the rest of them on the ground. Ryan, Justin, and Vinny were wolves, and they ran off together to do wolf shit together, their longer legs eating up the ground and leaving Ricky behind. They didn’t mean to, and always circled back to him when they realised - or Chris would drop out of nowhere, scaring the shit out of Ricky before play fighting or just forcing Ricky to curl up and go to sleep with him on a comfortable patch of leaves.
Both the pack animals and the loner made time for him, even though he never asked them, but Ricky knew that neither Chris or Ryan, Justin, and Vinny could fully enjoy being shifted when he was around, so he’d stopped shifting with them, waiting for them to all go off before changing forms and skulking around on his own.
 It was awful.
Ricky was a fox, and although foxes weren’t quite pack animals like wolves were, they weren’t loners like pumas, either. He was meant to be around other foxes, but foxes were rare in the shifter community: so much so that Ricky had only ever met one other fox in his entire life. The woman who had adopted him when they found him bawling in an alleyway had been amazing - but she was gone now, and Ricky was alone.
Now it was the night before the full moon, and everyone had run off to be in their animal forms, and Ricky had volunteered to wait in to meet the replacement for their merch girl. Hyacinth was a nice witch, but she’d recently gotten pregnant, and a tour bus with a dozen different supernatural creatures on was not the best place for her and her unborn child. She’d held out until the record label could send a replacement, but now she was gone, and her replacement was due any minute.
And as if by magic, there is the knock on the door.
Getting to his feet, Ricky took a second to wait until his skin felt like it had resettled - fucking full moon - and went to go and greet the new merch girl.
 He opened the door…and froze.
The knowledge hit him like a wave - he didn’t know if it was her aura, or her scent, or something else entirely, but he looked at the merch and knew instinctively that she was like him. Another fox shifter.
    “You’re a fox!”
Both of them exclaimed at exactly the time, probably wearing matching expressions of shock and excitement, if the sight of the woman’s face and the feel of his own was any indication, and then both of them started blushing.
Ricky couldn’t help but note how cute the woman looked with her dark skin flushing with the faintest shade of red - but she went from cute to beautiful when she played off the comment with a smile, her grin absolutely brilliant contrasting with the mahogany of her skin.
“Well, I’ve certainly had worse compliments,” she teased, flicking her braids back in was playfully flirty.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean - I just - uhm - ” Ricky stuttered, before regaining control of his mouth: “I didn’t mean to, like, come onto you or anything. It’s just been a long time since I met another fox shifter.”
“It’s okay, I know the feeling, other than my family, I don’t think I’ve met another one of us since…like…middle school.” came the reassuring response: “I’m Desirae, but you can call me Des.”
Ricky stuck his hand out and smiled in a way he hoped didn’t make him look like an idiot: “Ricky.”
Des took his hand with a grin of her own: “I should probably tell you in advance that I know all you guys by name; I’m a bit of a fan. Not a crazy one, but you might catch me singing one of your guys’ songs in the shower. Thought it might be better to tell you in advance.”
“Thanks for the heads up,” Ricky laughed, before helping her left her bags onto the bus: “Here, let me give you the tour while the bus is empty and there’s no-one to get underfoot.”
Ricky gave Des the tour, explained the trick to getting the hot water to work in the shower, and pointed out the shelf that hers in the kitchen cabinet: warning her to mark her name on things, or the wolves would get into it. Des seemed experienced in tour bus living, and adjusted quickly to the space, greeting all the others with a friendly smile when they made their way onto the bus bit by bit.
He didn’t comment, but Ricky could tell Chris was pleased - probably because he was one of the few people Ricky had confided in that he missed being around other foxes on the full moon.
Ricky’s suspicion were proved right when Chris ‘casually’ asked Des about her plans for the full moon tomorrow - which was a perfectly normal question for shifters to ask fellow shifters, but Ricky saw right through, just like he saw through Chris’s neutral façade when Des gave him a non-committal answer.
It was a disappointment Ricky shared.
Saying that he hadn’t wanted to spend the full moon with Des would be a lie, but that didn’t mean he didn’t understand. They were still strangers, and it was a pretty common attitude among shifters that time spent in your other skin was meant to be spent with friends and family and loved ones. Ricky hadn’t known Des for more than a few hours - would’ve only known her for a day by the time the moon rose tomorrow, so he got why she wouldn’t want to shift with him, even if it meant another full moon spent with his skin itching all over, the ground not quite feeling right under his paws, and feeling the all too familiar crippling loneliness as he looked up at the sky.
Was it a fun prospect? No. But it was something that he was used to, and Ricky was a grown-ass man: he’d suck it up and deal with it. Maybe next month he could approach Des, but until then he’d just grin and bear it.
He really wasn’t expecting Des to approach him…but that was exactly what she did, knocking on the outside of his bunk just seconds after Chris had leapt out of a skylight - the fucking show-off - and left the bus empty aside from her and Ricky.
She looked awkward when Ricky opened the curtain, but that didn’t stop her from being clear when she asked: “I wondered if you wanted to come and run with me?”
Ricky’s brain heard the words…but didn’t quite manage to understand them: “You want to shift together?”
“Only if you want to!” Des exclaimed quickly: “I won’t be offended if you’d rather catch up with one of the guys, or spend the night on your own, I just…well, I’m guessing you haven’t had the chance to run with another fox for a while, and I haven’t either and I know I missed it, so I just thought I’d offer.”
Finally, Ricky’s brain kicked into gear and scolded him for being an idiot: “Yes!”
“Yes?” Des asked, her expression relaxing and turning into something playful that made Ricky blush.
“Uh, yes.” he repeated, managing to sound a bit less like a teenage boy asked if he’d like to lose his virginity this time: “Yes, I’d really appreciate that. You’re right; I haven’t had the chance to shift with another fox for a long time.”
Des grinned, and led Ricky off of the bus.
They stood in the parking lot, and for once Ricky could feel the light of the full moon on his skin without wanting to scratch it off.
Des waited no time in shifting: disappearing in a haze of pale golden light, and reappearing as a lean, pale sandy coloured fox with short legs and big ears - a dessert fox. She yipped at him, and Ricky shifted himself, the world turning blue-grey for a second, before he opened his eyes again and found Des in a play bow: still shorter than him, but a lot less so now that he was on four legs too.
He barked once, and Des took off, letting Ricky chase her.
She was fast, for a fox with shorter legs than his own, and made up for his longer strides by being able to make sharp turns at the last minute, which sent him tumbling into things more than once. It was fucking fantastic, and Ricky was almost disappointed when he managed to nip her tail, tagging her as it, and marking it as his time to run and her turn to chase - but Des came out of nowhere not even minutes later, nipping his back leg, and making him it again.
They went back and forth for hours, past the wolves tiredly meandering back onto the bus, and past Chris wondering over to watch them disinterestedly from the top of the bus for a few minutes, until the moon started to sink from the sky - but they still didn’t shift back. Instead they yowled at the door of the bus, until they heard Ryan swearing and grumbling on his way to open it, at which point they rushed past his ankles and slunk into the back room to curl up together on one of the many large cushions that were spread across the floor.
It felt so good to give into the animal side for a few hours; foxes were affectionate by nature, and as nice as it was to cuddle with Chris every now and then (not that Ricky would ever stroke the feline’s already huge ego by admitting it) it was even better with a fellow fox. More relaxing, more grounding…more settling. It was all too easy to fall asleep in fox form, Des’s head tucked under his chin, and her shoulder pressed firmly against his.
Best night sleep I’ve had in years.
Ricky admitted as much when they woke up and shifted back, and Des agreed with another brilliant smile.
“We’ll do it again next month?”
“Why wait that long?” Des grinned.
Ricky beamed right back: “Good point.”
They were about to go and scrounge up breakfast from the cupboards, since the bus had long since started moving on to the next venue, and then look up the next area they were going to be in to see if there was anywhere good to run in nearby, when the door to the back room was slammed open and they were greeted with a glaring Chris.
He looked every inch the pissy cat he was…but that didn’t mean Ricky didn’t take a step back when Chris lifted a hand to point at them ominously, and saw that Des did the exact same thing, at the exact same time. Ricky understood why.
You didn’t piss off cats, no matter who you or what you were.
They got mean, and they got mean fast.
“If you two start anymore of that horrifying scream-y yowling shit again,” Chris threatened them, knowing full well what Des and Ricky were thinking: “I will stalk you. I will find you. And I will yowl right back until your ears bleed.”
Ricky looked at Des: “He probably would. He’s done it before to the wolves when their howling got on his nerves.”
Des just looked mischievous: “All I’m hearing is all of us should yowl at the wolves just because we can.”
“Smart, Des,” Chris smirked: “Appealing to the one thing I like more than stopping things that irritate me.”
 “Irritating other people?” Des asked.
 “Exactly.”
And just like that, it was a plan.
 Ricky couldn't wait.

Designated Cuddler
Reader x Chris Motionless Surprise!! I’m your Secret Santa @fanpagesforbands570
I hope you like it :) ////////////////////////////////////
December 24th
Tours were always hard but tours during the holidays were the hardest. These were times when most people spent time with their families and loved ones, but instead we were on tour until two days after Christmas. Of course the guys are needy since they have been away from their wives, girlfriends or…”other”. But this is taking the cake.
“Dude I don’t care how much I look like your chick from the back, stop trying to cuddle me!!” Vinny yelled in annoyance (and slight terror) at Ryan as he broke free from his arms.
“Dude when you joined you knew what you were getting into.” Ricky reminded him as he edited the new batch of clips for the update video.
“Then you cuddle him!!”
“Hell no I a one cuddler kinda guy.”
“Yeah Vin how would he explain it to Ghost.” Ryan laughs as Ricky chucks his shoe at him.
“Where Y/A? Ask her to cuddle you.” Vinny says as he wraps an giant bulls blanket around him, got to love fan gifts.
“Hugged up with Chris. He hasn’t let her go for the last 3 days and it’s not fair!!” Ryan yells back to bunks.
You giggle quietly at Ryan’s frustration and squeal when you feel Chris tighten his grip on your waist in his sleep. You see you were the merch girl but had recently earned an additional job title as the “Designated Cuddler” which the guys have been taking full advantage of…if they could get you away from Chris long enough that is. At first they tried scheduling times but that lead to fighting, so now it’s first come first served, whoever is awake at 5am when you’re up gets you first. Chris has been the early bird 3 days in a row and right after you both wake up he drags you back to his bunk. He is not an early bird. Anyway, it was Christmas Eve and you all decided to rent out a place for two days and do Christmas right. It was a quaint little place made or brick and had large picture windows, and a wrap around porch. It was two stories and had beautiful views of the lake and city lights right across. To be honest you couldn’t wait to get there.
“Chris, Chris…Christopher! Wake up!!” In a rather quick movement Chris had you turned toward him, his legs wrapped around yours and your face in his chest. You look up gazing at his neck tattoo as as he sits his chin on your head. His deep morning chuckle making your blush as he kisses the top of your head and lets you go. You swing your legs to the edge of the bunk and slide out.
“We should arrive soon so get up and get ready.”
“Alright, alright. But only if I can get a kiss.” He says winking at you. You blush and get as far away from the bunk as possible to your embarrassment but to the happiness of Vinny, Ryan was starting to get handsy. /////////////////
The pictures you saw online didn’t do this place justice. It was gorgeous. There had been a fresh snow fall just before you arrived so it definitely gave it a Christmas feel. The outside was decorated with lights and they even had a tee inside waiting to be decorated. These people were definitely getting a good review!!
Everyone piles out of the bus and indoors with their bags, happy to be out of the rolling bullet (why do you still let Chris drive?!) but also happy to be spending the holidays in a house with showers and a washing machine.
“Dude this is awesome!!”
“Finally a real shower!”
“Thank God because you all stink. And wash your bunk sheets while we’re here!!”
“Ok so who’s bunking with who?” Ricky ask looking at everyone as they explore the living room and kitchen.
“Who cares so long as I don’t have to share a bed with any of you. Waking up being spooned and groped by you guys if an experience I don’t want to experience ever again in life.” Vinny says as he glares at Ricky while we all laugh.
“Well I call the room with Y/N. You fucks can figure out your own rooms.”
Chris picks you up without warning and hoist you over his shoulders as you squeal and laugh up to one of the rooms.
Chris dumps on one of the beds with a bounce as he drops the bags in a corner. There are two full sized beds in the room but if history keeps repeating itself you and Chris would only be using one. Either he would drag you to his bed or half l way through the night climb into yours. Not that you mind since this was how your “job title” started. Chris sits on the edge of his bed plugging his phone up to charge.
“I’m going to go soak in the tub then take a long comforting nap, think you guys can figure out the menu?”
You stretch hearing your joints pop into place before go to your bags and pulling out the things you need, especially the lavender and honey bath bomb Chris got for you on you last day off some stops back. He pulls you between his long legs and looks up at you. His thumbs rubbing soothing circles on your lower back.
“Yeah, we might just or something to be delivered. After everyone calms down we’re all probably going to pass out. It’s a good thing we got food before we got here.”
You slide your hands up his chest to his shoulders and down his back he leans his forehead against your chest the both of you enjoying the soothing silence of falling snow and the possibility of the over grown children probably passed out somewhere on the house.
/////////////
December 25th
Cuddled into Chris’s chest is probably one of the best perks you could get. He was warm, comfortable and gave the best hugs. Half way though the night after a afternoon nap, and wrangling the “children” for tree decorating ( one of these days I’m going to kill Ricky and his camera), baking cookies ( thank god they were the precut holiday ones, Vinny and Ryan are not allowed to be in the kitchen with flour EVER again) and taking a family photo that looks like parents trying to control their kids and just accepting defeat; we were able to get gifts under the tree and everyone to bed. You and Chris were sleeping heavy with you across his chest and his arm wrapped tightly around your wait as you both snore away.
“Are they awake?”
“Not yet, should we wake them?”
“Not til I get the camera ready, aaaaannnnnddddd…..NOW!!
“MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!”
“THE FUCK!!??”
A loud scream from you and a loud thud as Chris face plants the carpet. There’s a loud cacophony of laughs and hollers as Ricky gets a good recording of you looking like a deer in headlights trying to decide to fight or flight and Chris in nothing but his sweatpants just laying on the floor contemplating killing and burying his band mates in the nearby pine forest.
“Ok ok, let’s go open presents now.” Ghost says trying to get everyone to calm down and out the room before Chris can act on his thoughts. After the guys leave and the door closes you crawl across the bed and look down as Chris starts to slowly sit up. You place a gentle kiss on the bump forming on his forehead.
“You ok?”
“Yeah I’m ok”
He stands up fully and takes your hand. You grab one of his sweat shirts and he take another and the both of you make your way down the stairs to the battle ground of wrapping paper and gift boxes.
///////////////////
As the day of gift giving and hyper activeness started to winding down, the guys decided to go pick up dinner for tonight from a restaurant on town that was lucky still open and some more treats for after dinner. You and Chris’s decided that your parental duties have finally come to a pause enough for you both to relax next to the fire place and look at the tree with snow falling past the window outside.
“Hey Y/N”
“Hmm?”
You rub the tiredness for your eyes as you cuddle back into his chest.
“I still have a special gift to give you before the others get back. He say in his low soothing voice.
“What is it?” You say looking up barely keeping your eyes open.
He smiles and gives you a gentle kiss on the lips. Your eyes slowly open fully as he pulls away from the kiss.
“I was wondering if you would be my designated cuddler?”
“I’m already a designated cuddler..”
He chuckles and kisses your forehead.
“No, I mean like my girlfriend. You don’t have to answer right away, but I hope you will.”
You lay your head on his chest and smile, “I will.”
“You will?”
“Yeah”
He smiles and kisses the top of your head. You both lay there in blissful silence…
“MOM, DAD!!! WE’RE HOME!!”

More Than You Know
Chapter 1.
Warm tears streamed down her face as she stared out of her bedroom window. She looked towards the trees but wasn’t really seeing them. Every year there was the same dumb arguments, and every year, things wouldn’t get fixed. Persephone was so tired of having to repeat herself over and over. She tried everything to make it clear what she needed from her husband but nothing seemed to work. This time, she was worn down. She brushed her deep violet hair behind her ear and wiped at her eyes with her sleeve, careful not to smear her makeup more than it probably already was. An angelic voice was singing in the background and she sighed. At least the music was always there for her. Motionless In White had gotten her through just about everything life had thrown at her, and this time was no different. Chris’ voice soothed her anger and sadness and as she started to calm down, she pulled her laptop out from under her bed. It was time to do something nice for herself and she knew just what to do. She pulled up google and with a small smile, made the purchase that would change her life forever.
Persephone gently closed her computer and text her friend excitedly what she had just done. She was finally going to see the band that had helped her overcome so much. Not just that, but she was going to meet them too! Persephone was buzzing with excitement. So much so, she could almost forget about what had happened earlier. Her husband was always a good person, he just slowly had stopped doing a lot of things over time that used to make Persephone feel loved and safe. It might be little to some, but to her it meant a lot. She had also been very vocal about things that she would like him to do that would help her feel loved. It was never anything extravagant or expensive. Just to take her picture every once in a while, or post something cute like he used to. But this time, every issue that she had tried to bring up for years had risen from the depths of which she had tried to bury them. She bit her lip as she tried to focus on something else. In two weeks, she would be face to face with her idol. The man who gave her a deep understanding of herself and told her it was okay to be herself. The man that had pulled her out of the dark so many times without even knowing it.
Her friend had quickly text back, equally excited. This was definitely going to be a wonderful time.
However, over the next two weeks, things in Persephone’s relationship seemed to deteriorate further and further. When Persephone came home from the store one day, she found a stack of papers on the kitchen table. She set the groceries down and carefully picked up the paper on top. Her heart sank as she realized it was divorce papers. It was something she had never wanted since witnessing her own parents love crumble, and now it was happening to her. Never again, she promised herself. Never again will I let this happen. She looked around the house for her husband, checking every room but he was gone. Persephone was oddly calm, thought she knew it wouldn’t last. She made her way up the stairs she would most likely never walk up again. Grabbing her suitcase, she began to pack as much as she could for her trip the next day and for where ever she was headed after. She knew there was no way she could stay at the house. There was too many memories, and she couldn’t work so she had no way to pay the bills. After packing two suitcases and her duffel bag, she text her friend Josh to see if she could stay with him for a while. About twenty minutes later, there was a knock on the door. Josh had come to the rescue and helped Persephone load her things into his car. When they made sure she had everything that was hers, they left for his house. Josh had two bedrooms so Persephone was able to have her own room. “Stay as long as you need. I’m you’re brother, I got your back,” he said as he embraced her. She hugged him tightly and thanked him. Josh decided to give her some space and let her retreat to her new bedroom.
Persephone sat on the bed and put her head in her hands. Things seemed to finally hit her as she realized she was going to be going through a divorce and going to a concert tomorrow. Though she debated about not going, she decided that this was going to be no different than the other times that music had helped her. This time she’d actually get to meet them all though. She began to unpack her belongings when her phone rang. Chris’ voice filled the room. “Hello?” she answered. “Hey! Are you ok?  I just got your text holy shit,” her best friend Rose said. “Yeah it just kind of hit me I guess,” Persephone said as she bit her lip to hold back a sob. “Forget him sis! You don’t need that stress in your life. You’re going to have a bomb time tomorrow and meet the babes!” Persephone let out a small laugh. “I know this is going to be hard but for now focus on the good! You can’t let him ruin this for you, you’ve waited forever to do this!” Rose was right, focus on the good for now and deal with this later. After a while they hung up and Persephone had to pack for tomorrow. She was going to drive to Milwaukee for the show and had set up a hotel there for her and Rose. They would get ready together and then watch the band play, then after they would get to meet them. It was going to be perfect and Persephone wasn’t going to let anyone ruin it for her.
PERSEPHONE’S POV
The next morning, I woke up at six am to Rose shaking me. “How the hell did you know where to find me?” I murmured sleepily. Rose smirked, “I have my ways now let’s go!” I hurried out of bed and looked in my closet that i had organized last night. What am I going to wear? Shit, I hadn’t even planned that far. Oh lord, this is off to a bad start already. Rose walked over and scanned my closet. “Hmm..” She grabbed a black, off the shoulder lacey crop top. She made her way over to the dresser and began riffling around the drawers. She pulled out a pair of black ripped shorts and fishnets thigh highs. “Go put this on,” she said pushing the clothes into my arms. I did as I was told and smiled in the mirror. Rose knew what would look good. I dug through my dresser to find my heart shaped garter and secured my thigh highs. I grabbed my favorite collar and put it around my neck before I started my makeup. I decided I would do my regular and gave myself a deep purple smokey eye with sharp wings that could cut through the coldest of hearts. I lined my lips with black, and filled them in with a dark purple, blending it out. As I filled in my eyebrows I checked the time. Twenty minutes until we had to be on the road driving. That left just enough time to flat iron my hair. I looked over and Rose was putting her makeup on and had changed into a cute outfit as well.
I studied myself in the mirror when I was finished and grinned. I looked hot! Rose was standing in the bathroom doorway by that time and was smirking. “Okay, we get it you’re a model lets go!” I laughed and grabbed my bag. Yelling a goodbye to Josh, I ran outside and jumped into Rose’s car.
A few hours, and a lot of horrible car singing later, we had finally arrived at our hotel. We hurried to check in and drop our bags off in our room. As we were walking out, I had stumbled over the lace in my boots and almost fell. Someone caught me just before I hit the ground. I let out a sigh and looked up. My breath caught in my throat and I froze. “Are you okay?” I swallowed hard and tried to remember how to speak. “Um… y-yes,” I said as I stayed in his arms. My face burned as I realized I hadn’t moved. I hurried to stand as he helped me. He smiled slightly and said, “You might want to tie your boots before you walk much further.” I knew my face was red as a rose at this point and brushed my hair behind my ear. “Thank you for uh, c-catching me,” I said in a shaky voice. Chris smiled and gave a small wave before walking away. My heart finally came back to life and was beating so hard I swear it could’ve exploded. Rose calmly walked over as I slowly bent down to tie my boots, still staring after him. “Did that really just freaking happen?!” she whispered excitedly. “Chris freaking Motionless just caught your ass! You best believe he’s going to recognize you later when we meet them! Maybe even in the crowd! Oh my God..” she trailed. I stood up and looked down the hall he had disappeared down. “He had bags with him! He’s staying at our hotel!” Rose exclaimed. My face was still burning from embarrassing myself in front of him. And the fact that my god he smelt fucking good and was so damn handsome in person. I turned towards her and she rolled her eyes, “Leave it to you to literally fall right into the arms of the man you love! Wish that I could’ve fell into Ryan!”
We hurried to the venue to get there early to be able to be as close to upfront as we could be. The line was huge by the time they finally let everyone in.
We were able to get right up to the barrier and smiled at each other as the music started for disguise. The guys walked onstage and Chris began to sing. I could feel the music in my chest as I jumped up and down, moshing with everyone else. I sang each song with him, making a point to memorize this moment. Chris looked out at the crowd as he sang and his eyes landed on me in the middle of ‘Eternally Yours’. He smiled as he sang and held my gaze for a moment. “HE IS STARING INTO YOUR SOUL!”  Rose yelled into my ear. My heart beat faster as he watched me sing with him.
As he thanked the crowd for coming out, he looked back at me before walking off stage. Rose and I hurried to where we were supposed to be to meet them. We waited about ten minutes before we were able to see them and Chris smiled at me almost immediately. “Hey, I thought I recognized you. I’m prepared to catch you again if need be,” he chuckled. Ryan smirked and walked up to Rose who looked like she was about to shit herself with excitement. Everything ceased to exist for the ten minutes we had with them. I got the chance to explain to them what their music had done for me and how much I appreciate them doing what they do. Chris grabbed my hand and smiled, “I’m glad that we could help. It’s hard to remember sometimes we aren’t alone.” I froze as I felt the warmth from his hand. His hands were soft and he caressed the back of my hand with his thumb for a second. He looked down and let out a slight laugh as he let go of my hand, “Uh, sorry if that was weird,” he said, running a hand through his hair. I just smiled at him and before I could say anything else security said we had to leave. I could feel my heart drop, but I turned to walk out after saying thank you again. I could feel eyes on us as we walked out. The whole drive home Rose talked about how Ryan had said she had a nice outfit and that he was so hot. She looked over as she stopped at a red light. “Girl are you even hearing me right now? Earth to Persephone!” I snapped back to reality and said, “Yeah no, he’s hot and liked your dress.” She rolled her eyes, “Yeah but he didn’t grab my hand and stare at me for ten minutes straight like  SOMEONE did to you,” she grinned. I couldn’t help but smile, “Yeah I bet he does that for everyone so it feels more personal. I’m nobody special.” “Oh bullshit. You know what? You best untie your boots so that if we see him you can just fall into him again. Since you know, he’s staying at our hotel,” she smirked. “Maybe I should do the same so Ryan will catch me,” she mused.

The Flower Shop Around The Corner (III)
Part 3 : The Question And The Answer
Here comes a third part for my series for Chris Evans! I hope you all like it!
Nothing to be warning you about, it's a cute story :)
Gif not mine
Word Count : 2666
Tumblr media
How could anyone be that annoying?
HOW?!
It was beyond comprehension.
And the worst part was that everyone else seemed to love you. When him? He was starting to seriously hate you.
Hate may have been a strong word but you were just… so… argh!
There were no words that came to his mind. What was beyond absolutely annoyed?
Not that you were a total jerk, and that was the worst part, what annoyed Chris the most. Because he couldn’t just blame the fact that you were evil, as you weren't evil at all. There was just something about you that went on his nerves. Perhaps it was that lack of humour in your demeanour. Perhaps it was the way you rolled your eyes at him everytime he tried to make a joke, and how serious you always seemed to be, couldn't you just loosen up for a change, and… he could make a whole essay about how your sternness annoyed him. And the way you bit your nails when you were focusing on learning your lines, or that little pout you made when you were thinking and…
He pushed the thought of you aside. Around him, the sun was beginning to set already. Orange hues mingling with the pale blue of a late summer, honking cars down the boulevard surrounding Central Park, the tall trees calling for his tired frame to rest under their shade…
A few deep breaths, and his thoughts had travelled away from you and settled on this girl whose letter was waiting for him. He didn't realize it, but he quickened his pace at the mere thought. He needed to read her letter. He had longed for it all day long. It was strange for him, actually, to feel this way. He had never minded working hard and go home late at night only to get up early again the next morning. And yet, these days, all he could think of was that moment when he would leave his work and go to this flower shop and get the letter this stranger had written for him in the morning…
What was happening to him?
Oh, he knew exactly what was happening, deep down, in his heart, he knew exactly. He had a severe crush. This stranger he had never met had become, over the course of the past few weeks, such an important part of his life. He was like addicted. He wanted to know everything about her. He wanted to listen to her for hours, and to tell her everything about him too… But they had an agreement. Nothing too detailed, nothing that could make them guess who the other person was beyond the doors of this little shop. He didn't know what she did for a living, and she didn't know he was an actor. He had told her he was from Boston and had a dog. These were all the characteristics she knew about him that could lead her to identify him… so good to say that is was far from enough.
On the other hand, she knew how close he was of his family. She knew his struggles and his thoughts and his beliefs and his dreams and somehow… somehow he had said more about himself to this perfect stranger than he had to his closest friends. How strange… sometimes it really felt easier to speak to someone he had never even met.
Finally he pushed the door of the shop open. It was empty, no customers left at such an hour. Actually, the shop should have been closed by now, but Carlotta had once more kept her flower shop opened for Chris. She welcomed him from behind the counter with a grin.
"I'm sorry, I'm very late tonight, work was crazy," he apologized, and giving the woman a hug.
She chuckled.
"Oh, there's no need to apologize, I don't mind waiting for you. Here's your letter… And we need to talk about all this."
"Why?"
"Read your letter first, darling. Then, we'll talk."
Chris smiled, leaning on the counter and tearing open the envelop. A smile formed on his lips as he recognized your handwriting. And as soon as he was lost in your words, the whole world around him faded away.
 Dear Wallet Guy,
Thank you for your kind words, and I'm sure that you are right about my colleague. I shouldn't use so many thoughts on him, but it just seems like I can't help it. It does sound a little like your situation with your own colleague though. I hope you don't take her words too much at heart. I'm sure she was wrong. I know you're talented. Perhaps she was just angry.
And sometimes, people say things they don't really mean. Like, me and my co-worker, for example. Whenever I'm around him, I don't know why, I become colder than usual. I make remarks that are unusually cold and sometimes even a little mean and then… I spend the rest of the day feeling guilty for saying these things. It's not who I am, and I don't even know why I say those things. All I know is that, as soon as the words pass my lips, I start wishing for being able to take them back.
I am very proud of you for pissing off these people on twitter. Keep up the good work! I wish I could see this account of yours, it looks crazy!
I had such a nice walk to the shop this morning. The sun was coming up, and I passed through the park to see how it reflected on the lake. There was this old woman on the bench with her grand-daughter, they were giving food to the birds. It seemed so peaceful somehow, this all so-familiar scene, such a simple thing as a granny and her grand-daughter giving grains to birds while the sun rose up above the skyscrapers. It was such a simple sight and yet… yet is warmed my heart so much. If only we could always appreciate such tiny things, wouldn't we be much happier?
I'll see you tonight, Wallet Guy… or well, I will read your thoughts tonight, I guess it's a more adequate turn of phrase. The though brings a smile to my lips no matter the way I put it though.
 Peony Girl
Chris folded back the letter in its envelope, and he finally noticed that Carlotta had given him what he would need to write his answer too. But before he could reach for the pen and paper, she cleared her throat, her arms crossed before his chest.
"So… how was the letter today?"
"Huh… great…"
"Great? Hmm… interesting…"
"What's wrong?"
"Oh, nothing, nothing, Chris… Nothing, except the fact that you didn't do what was planned yesterday."
She stared intensely at him, and Chris tried to keep a straight face, but he just couldn't. He eventually heaved a sigh and ran his fingers through his hair, dishevelling it a little.
"I… Look, I don't think we're ready for that," he argued, but Carlotta was not buying any of it.
"You've been writing to each other for weeks. She is so happy to read your letters, and you are so happy to read hers… you should meet!"
"I'm not sure it's a good idea."
"Why not?"
"What if…"
He stopped, looking away from Carlotta and to his hands instead. His next words came out like a breathy whisper.
"What if she doesn't like me? What if she's disappointed…"
But Carlotta shook her head and took one of Chris's hand in hers, making him meet her eyes again.
"Trust me, she will not be disappointed. You should meet. She will say yes. She will like you. And all will be fine. And when you two get married, I expect an invitation."
Chris laughed, but a touched glimmer lingered in his blue eyes, and when he smiled at her again, it was a fond gesture.
"We're far from there, don't get ahead of yourself."
"Ask her to meet you. Do it. Do it!"
"I don't even know if she's single."
"She is. I asked her."
"Carlotta!"
"ASK HER!"
"Alright, alright…"
He heaved a sigh, finally picking up this pen and paper that he needed to ask such an important question. Why was it even so important? In the worst scenario, he would have gained an amazing friend. In the best case… well… maybe a little more than that.
He had been thinking about this for a while now, actually. And the truth was, he wanted to meet you. He wanted to see what you looked like. He wanted to be able to call you in the middle of the night, and he wanted to spend an afternoon with you in the park just talking and he… he wanted to meet you. He really did.
But his feelings for you were already bending in the direction of a romance. And he didn't know how he would react if all you could see in him was a friend.
But his motto was to do things that scared him the most. That's how he had come so far. It would take him a little further. He just needed to gather the strength to trace the letters on this piece of paper.
He answered your letter first. Talked a little about his day. But soon he was motionless. The pen a few inches above the paper.
There was no coming back from this. It was a leap of faith to take.
Slowly, he put the tip of the pen against the paper, and he traced the letters, almost reluctantly despite his longing to do so. And once he was done, once he had added this little dot under the question mark, he felt so relieved. He grinned up at Carlotta.
"I asked her."
"YES!"
She jumped in happiness a couple of times while Steve signed the letter, making him laugh.
He sealed the envelope and put it down on the counter, letting his fingers linger on the blue paper for a few more seconds.
He heaved a sigh.
His fate was in your hands now.
 --------------------------------------------------------------
The words struck you so much, you had to read them again. It was still early in the morning, and at first, you thought that maybe you had failed at reading his letter properly. Perhaps your brain was just too foggy still, like the weather outside. But you read and read and read the sentence, and the words didn't change.
I've been thinking about this for a while now. Don't you think it would be nice to have this kind of conversation face to face, instead of going through paper and ink? Would you like us to meet? For real?
You didn't notice that your eyes had grown round and your jaw had fallen open. You were too busy reading one more time these words… these words that echoed through your mind now.
Would you like us to meet? For real?
Would you like us to meet?
Would you like us to meet?
"Is everything alright?"
Carlotta's voice finally snapped you out of your torpor and you shook yourself, bringing your mind back to reality.
"I… I'm fine," you stuttered. "He… hum… He wants to meet me."
Carlotta carefully studied your reactions.
"And… do you?"
Slowly, a smile formed on your lips, as you eventually wrapped your mind around the thought. You had been thinking about this for a while too, actually. But what if he was disappointed when he met you? What if… what if he already had someone?
But you pushed these negative thoughts away. You wanted to know who he was, you were too curious to refuse.
"Yeah, I do want to meet him," you nodded, and Carlotta let out a happy squeal.
"Tell him! Tell him!" she cried, excitedly handing some paper and pens, making you laugh. "Propose a date and a place. Go ahead!"
"I don't know…"
"The bar at the corner of the street."
"Yeah… sounds good. On Friday?"
"Great! Perfect! Aww… finally!"
"Stop it!"
You laughed at her while you wrote your own note. A few minutes and it was all done. All the while, you couldn't manage to slow down your heart though. It kept on beating so fast, and that smile on your lips, it was impossible to brush it off.
You just hoped he would be able to come.
 ------------------------------------------------
Chris was quiet. It was strange to have him so quiet. You almost preferred him bubbly and talkative and laughing his annoying laugh. He seemed very nervous. Not that it was a problem to shoot your scenes, but as soon as the camera was off, he seemed to be back in that nervous state. He kept on checking the time as well.
"Are you alright?" you asked him around a coffee.
"Of course. Why?"
"You seem… preoccupied."
"It's nothing."
He checked his watch once more.
"Are you late for something?"
"No… I'm just…"
He heaved a sigh. He was about to do something he would regret, but damn with it all…
"I've asked someone out and I'll know tonight if she says yes or no, and I'm a bit… nervous about it."
"I had noticed that," you chuckled, but your expression was warm and soothing. "Why do you have to wait until tonight?"
"Long story. But I won't get her answer before I can go home."
"I see… Well, you shouldn't be so nervous about it."
"Because I shouldn't be so worried about a woman?"
"Because she will probably say yes."
He raised a surprised eyebrow and you rolled your eyes in response.
"You're not a psychopath, you have a job, and in bonus you're rather hot."
He frowned.
"So… not being a serial killer is already most of what is needed to get a date?"
"You have no idea how low we have to set the bar," you replied in a half-amused tone.
"I can see that."
"More seriously, why would she say no? At least for a date? Perhaps she'll say no for more, but it's probably just a drink or something of the kind, right?"
"You would say no for a date."
"Yes, but… that's different. You would say no for a date with me too."
"Yeah… you're quite right."
You exchanged a smile, and were soon called back by your director to shoot yet another scene. And somehow, Chris was a little less nervous about tonight, after all…
 ----------------------------------------------
He took a deep breath before entering inside the shop. He could feel strangers walking down the street behind him, but he needed a few seconds to enter. The fog of the morning had since long lifted, but a wet smell lingered in the air. A cab drove behind him, and for a second, Chris wanted to call for that cab and run away. But instead, he opened the door and walked inside the flower shop.
Carlotta was there, but her face didn't reveal anything about her response.
Chris hugged her as a hello, and he asked her with worry in his eyes.
"What did she say?"
But instead of answering, Carlotta merely handed him the letter you had written.
He tore the envelope apart in a hurry. If he had been hesitating before entering the shop, now, he just couldn't wait to know your answer.
Unlike all your letters before, this one was a mere note. Only the answer to his question, nothing else. A grin formed on his features as he read the words traced in dark ink on the red paper several times, as if he wanted to engrave them in his memory.
I'd love to meet you, Wallet Guy. How about Friday night, in the pub at the corner of the next street. Carlotta knows which one. I'll be wearing a red scarf and bring a book with me, so you can recognize me.
And for a moment, Chris couldn't be happier.

Monster KrattsAU
Injured Piece
The next day Chris woke up still feeling worried about his brother, " Morning, bro"he looked down at the lower bunk his brother slept in, Martin wasn't there, Chris looked over his bed checking to see if Martin was sleeping on the left side of the lower bunk,He wasn't there either.
Chris all of a sudden started to lose his grip and fell out of the top bunk falling head first on the floor,a huge thud could be heard from the Bros room.
Aviva woke up disturbed by the loud thud, she got out of bed,got dressed, and walked into the Bros room finding Chris on the floor, "Chris, are you alright?"she said sounding a bit worried, "don't worry, Aviva, I'm f-fine "he weakly got up.
"Have you seen Martin by any chance?"Chris sounded a bit worried, "No, why?"Aviva raised a brow,"When I woke up, Martin wasn't in the lower bunk, he was gone...", "Don't worry, Chris, he probably went creature adventuring really early "Aviva said softly, "if you say so"Chris sighed.
"You don't believe me?"Aviva sounded a bit serious, "I want to believe you, but then I don't.. "Chris chuckled nervously, "okay then, where's Martin's creature pod?"aviva smirked, Chris was speechless, "Now you believe me? "Aviva smirked.
"Yeah, I believe you, but I'm gonna look for him anyway " Chris zipped up his green sweater and put some adventure gear in his backpack, "okay Chris, just be careful out there "Aviva smiled softly and walked out of the Bros room.
Chris put on his backpack and ran out of the tortuga, walking into the middle of nowhere he saw a bird-shaped figure on the ground laying motionless, he walked over to the creature to get a better look, "oh my gosh"his eyes widened in shock, Chris picked up the badly injured raven who seemed to be unconscious.
"The mission to find Martin could wait for awhile, this injured bird is more important than that, I guess... "he sounded a bit unsure about what he just said, Chris ran back into the tortuga, he placed the poor creature on the medical table,"seems like it fell out of a tree, the left wing is badly damaged"Chris cutted a piece of bandage tape,a certain bandage tape that doesn't stick to the feathers, before putting the bandage tape on the raven, he checked to see if it had any cuts, the raven had no cuts on itself, Chris folded the birds injured wing to a position it should be in, he then gently wrapped the tape around the birds body, making sure that it was tight enough to keep the broken wing in place, he then wrapped the tape under the unbroken wing and in front of the feet(totally didn't look up "how to fix a broken wing" ).
Chris placed the raven in a bird nest he made, hoping that would make it feel comfortable, Chris sighed in relief and fell asleep next to small nest the raven was in.
Martin walked back into the tortuga finding Chris sleeping next to a bird nest,Chris opened one of his eyes seeing his brother, "I was worried about you, where'd you go?, why did you leave so early?"he frowned a little, "calm down, Bro, I wanted to check on some raccoons I found the other day. "he smiled softly.
"Yeah, alright."Chris rolled his eyes, "what happened last night?, seemed like you was having a nightmare or something. ", "I rather not talk about it, I just hope that nightmare doesn't happen to me in the real world"Martin chuckled nervously.
Chris noticed something red on his brothers fingers,"is that... Blood on your fingers?"he looked a bit concerned, "Chris, what are you talking about?, that's not blood, it's fruit juices.. "he lied, hoping that his brother would believe him.
"I'll believe you"Chris smiled softly, Martin was surprised that his brother would fall for it,it wasn't normal.
"Chris, I have a secret-"Martin sighed, "That secret is?"Chris raised a brow, "oh wait, I smell blood, your a killer!"his eyes widened in shock, "No, no, I'm not a killer!"he laughed a little, "let's just say that I was 'cursed', and I found a antidote. ", "this is starting to make sense..","so to break the 'curse', you had to kill someone?"Chris was sounded a little concerned, "I guess"Martin shrugged, "At least I won't be having those weird nightmares"he hugged his little brother, "Now there's blood on my sweater.. "Chris fussed a little.
"And who cursed you and what did they turn you into?"Chris asked, he hoped that his brother wouldn't make up a fake story, "A dog made by hell,Chris, a dog made by hell.."Martin said softly as he stroked his brothers hair.
"What is a dog made by hell?,I'm really confused, Martin-", "Shut up.. "Martin interrupted his brother.
Chris stayed silent, he thought he just might have to solve this 'mystery' all by himself.

Eater of Wasps
Some highlights of the last EDA I’ve read (Eater of Wasps).
I took these screens while reading, along with my reactions. As usual, this is full of spoilers.
Tumblr media
O-kay, so this cover is pretty gruesome, I wonder if this is a-
Tumblr media
OH SHIT OH NO
Well, that was unexpectedly great.
The problems keep piling up in this story and the action never really stops. It’s pretty straightforward and I wish some characters were given a bit more to do, but the regulars are still well written. Eight hasn’t been this alien since The Burning (which makes sense since it’s the same kind of story, with a basic plot but written like a thriller), Fitz is his usual loyal self, even when he’s scared shitless by the events, and Anji has some of the most interesting moments.
It’s also a real page-turner, with some gloriously horrible body horror left and right and more than a few laughs among all the stress. Unlike the previous book, this one doesn’t really try to make a point, it has a very traditional structure (if you forget the ton of gore thrown at us), and it’s just a gripping adventure with no other goal in mind. Definitely refreshing. 8/10
Okay this is a Baxendale book, so... how long have we got before the body horror and/or the killing starts
Tumblr media
THAT WAS LITERALLY THE FIRST LINE
Tumblr media
The TARDIS sounds like “a rather poorly cow”, according to this lady.
Tumblr media
I laughed out loudly
Get back in the police box, Fitz, you unshaven untrustworthy criminal
Tumblr media
Still laughing but I hope this old bigot dies in this story tbh
Tumblr media
This description of our current Eight is simultaneously delightful and sad.
Tumblr media
Miss “Old-bat-on-a-bike” Havers sounds exactly like a certain person who’s currently running for president in my country and who I hope to see crash and burn in the near future with all my heart
Tumblr media
How many racist bigots are there in Miss “I-speak-for-the-whole-village” Havers’ shoes exactly
Tumblr media
WELP TIME FOR FUN HEADCANONS ABOUT DANY PINK’S FAMILY TREE
Tumblr media
“MISS HAVERS APPEARED READY TO COLLAPSE UNDER THIS ONSLAUGHT OF FOREIGN-SOUNDING NAMES”
Tumblr media
Nope. Nope.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eight wants to drive a tractor.
Also wasn’t he travelling far away from England in the thirties? I recall he said something like that in The Turing Test.
Tumblr media
I’m smiling through the sadness this is confusing
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eight geeking about vintage cars, everyone
Tumblr media
I really like the Pink brothers so far, so I’m pretty sure at least one of them is going to suffer horribly in this story
Tumblr media
Well that’s also what Lawrence Miles claims and his books are roughly 50% politics so I don’t know about this
Tumblr media
Eh eh
Tumblr media
Eight playing Paranoid on a piano is my new aesthetic
Also I wondered how it would sound like on a piano and holy shit look at this video this person is so talented, like, damn
Tumblr media
I don’t know who Kala is but her haircut made me laugh
Tumblr media
So Rigby’s possessed by the wasps in some way?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anji saying “bloody” impresses Hilary Pink and I find this endearing, somehow
Tumblr media
We know, Eight, we know
Tumblr media
The descriptions of the TARDIS team are great in this book.
Tumblr media
I love this scene??
Tumblr media
“There was something wrong” = understatement of the month
Tumblr media
This creeps me out way more than the wasps themselves, to be honest, because I don’t particularly hate them. I have no idea how painful a wasp sting is because I’ve never been attacked by any of them ever. Granted, I don’t like them, but still.
Tumblr media
Wait a second, is the old bigot contaminated too now?
Tumblr media
“PITY ABOUT THE PLUMS”
COULD YOU PRETEND TO BE SAD ABOUT THE DEAD GUY FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE SECONDS YOU WALNUT
Tumblr media
Extremely relatable
Tumblr media
Run away. Run. Away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anji no
Tumblr media
Good description cut, like, 10/10 would cut again
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Can I breathe now? Cause I’d really enjoy that
Tumblr media
Apparently I can’t
Tumblr media
OH NOT MY HEART HE KEPT THE LETTER FOR 90 YEARS
Tumblr media
I’m laughing like an idiot, that never gets old
Tumblr media
Still laughing by the way
Tumblr media
Well you did ask
Tumblr media
Always the best course of action
Tumblr media
I love this scene so much oh my god
Tumblr media
Well that’s completely different, then
Tumblr media
Have I already told you I loved this new TARDIS team with all my heart
Tumblr media
[Unexpected sadness]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1) Eight was a sailor during the thirties, why isn’t there a book about that
2) Is that a reference to Pertwee’s tattoo?
3) If Eight really has a tattoo, wouldn’t that be a first (Three’s tattoo was there for real life reasons so it doesn’t really count)?
4) A tattoo of what
5) Where
6) If he hasn’t one and that’s all a lie… is… is he flirting with Fitz
Tumblr media
I have no words
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My hair is standing on end on my arms I’m not even joking at all holy f█cking shit that’s so f█cking creepy
Tumblr media
OH. THAT’S EASY THEN. JUST IGNORE THE HUMAN WASP HIVE STANDING ABSOLUTELY STILL IN COMPLETE DARKNESS WITH HIS MOUTH OPEN TWO METERS AWAY FROM YOU. JUST IGNORE HIM. BECAUSE THAT’S VERY EASY, RIGHT
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This shouldn’t be that funny but I’m half laughing half cringing
Tumblr media
This scene is terrifying and hilarious at the same time, which results in me cringing like there’s no tomorrow
Tumblr media
F█CK I KNEW IT
Tumblr media
Holy shit Doctor
Tumblr media
Good job, Kala, 10/10
Tumblr media
Don’t we all
Tumblr media
Oh god please try to explain the context to the police, Eight, I really want you to explain how you arrived in a police box and how Wasp Man is menacing that village because somebody dropped an alien thingie there
Tumblr media
Nevermind
Tumblr media
Funnier in hindsight
Tumblr media
Fitz Kreiner, prison cells connaisseur
Tumblr media
Of course he wouldn’t, but that’s still concerning.
Tumblr media
Wait Miss “Old-bat-on-a-bike” Havers isn’t dead yet? Is there no justice in the world? (don’t answer that)
Tumblr media
“I’m not sure what he is”
Tumblr media
Oh that's perfectly normal then
Tumblr media
Hey isn’t that the cover of the book?
Tumblr media
Eight this is an autopsy for crying out loud don’t act like it’s an unboxing video
Tumblr media
Oh. Oh wait. Oh f█ck. Is this book “SCP-439, but with wasps and the victims are mobile"? Oh shit that’s suddenly ten times worse
Tumblr media
KILL IT WITH FIRE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
FOR THE LULZ For the Vine no idea
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay book I like you very much but there’s only so many times I can say "nope" in this liveblog and I’m going to run out of nopes soon
Tumblr media
EXTREMELY RELATABLE??
Tumblr media
I know the feeling, Eight, but please try to focus
Tumblr media
That’s… that’s not exactly what she meant, Fitz. I do adore the fact that you had prepared an answer to that question, though
Tumblr media
Hehe of course he would offer mint humbugs instead of jelly babies just to troll everyone about the wasps thing – also I want one, I’ve never tasted one before
Tumblr media
Oh no cute
Tumblr media
[Takes references for future drawings]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honestly I love this description
Tumblr media
SCREAMING
THERE’S BEEN A LOT OF GREAT SCENES IN THIS BOOK ALREADY BUT THAT’S IN THE TOP THREE FOR SURE
Tumblr media
Eight you nerd
Tumblr media
...........of course you did
Tumblr media
implying things aren’t messy already
Tumblr media
"overtactile"
Also I still can’t get this out of my head, wasn’t she attacked earlier ?
Tumblr media
Ignore me I’m just dying a little bit over there
Tumblr media
10/10 would fraud again
Tumblr media
This book is almost non-stop action AND funny AND scary and honestly it would be a top-grade perfect Doctor Who book if the writing was slightly better and if the plot was a bit more original
Tumblr media
Eight this is a bad idea and you know it
Tumblr media
Anji is channelling my exact reaction
Tumblr media
Eight every time you end up fighting someone it doesn’t end well for you
Tumblr media
That quote is wonderful, I’m gonna memorise it for future D&D games
Tumblr media
“It always looks easier in the movies”
Tumblr media
This f█cking dialogue oh my god
Tumblr media
Or perhaps you could blast the fire extinguisher right in his face before he hurts anyone else, just an idea
Tumblr media
“Mad? I’m absolutely furious"
Nobody No-One’s on the phone & he wants his quote back
Tumblr media
That’s always been one of my favorite things with Eight, his tendency to take one look at trolley problems and be like "nah". People die accidentally all the time but most of the time he refuses to be the person who decides who lives and who dies. Of course it’s highly debatable, but that’s what makes it interesting in the first place.
Tumblr media
"Hope this is not Chris's blood"
Tumblr media
Friendly reminder that the Doctor can detect blood types
Tumblr media
I don’t know why but that particular sentence makes me laugh, the mental picture is irresistible
Tumblr media
Fitz is that guy who always gets killed in slasher movies
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Eight can finally drive a tractor eeeeeee
Tumblr media
That’s it that’s the book
Tumblr media
Still in love with the descriptions from Rigby’s point of view, by the way.
Tumblr media
GREAT EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED
Tumblr media
GREAT EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED 2: THE QUICKENING
Tumblr media
Also a defining trait of Eight in all his stories: his refusal to give up. Which is why the beginning of Dark Eyes was so great. And also Ship in a Bottle, because sometimes people need to remind him there’s always hope.
And that’s also what makes Night of the Doctor so heartwrenching ; it’s the Doctor who “never ever gives up” finally giving up, for good.
Tumblr media
1) Anji is still channelling my thoughts 2) Honestly I’m glad Rigby’s now an actual monster because the human hive thing standing motionless in complete darkness was infinitely more creepy to me
Tumblr media
Still loving these descriptions so I’m still screening them.
Tumblr media
The fact that there’s still a part of him which knows this is a f█cking nightmare is the cherry on top, actually.
Tumblr media
ASDFGHJHGHJK I FUCKING KNEW IT
“AND TO THINK I HUGGED YOU”
Tumblr media
That’s your only reaction?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ummm sorry I know the situation is extremely tense but look at this sweet little moment?? Thank you
Tumblr media
Wasp Man
Tumblr media
DOCTOR YOU LITTLE SHIT
Tumblr media
Damn that was brutal
Tumblr media
I shouldn’t be laughing so hard
Tumblr media
Great just what we needed
Tumblr media
Why is this still so funny
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Can I breathe now
Tumblr media
I don’t know why this is so cute to me but it really is
Tumblr media
Friendly reminder that I love Anji
Tumblr media
Everyone’s safe and nothing hurts, goodbye
Tumblr media
Honestly I don’t even know which part of this I prefer.
Maybe "what deadline?".

I watched Chris out of the corner of my eye as he drove me home. I kept picking at my pocket, thinking about if I really wanted to let him go through with the bracelet rules. Of course they were stupid, and putting them on you never really think about them actually breaking but here we were. It was an accident after all. I sighed heavily.
"Hey Chris?"
He tapped his hand on the steering wheel along with the song.
"Yeah?"
I looked out the window at the passing buildings.
"Could we go to the look out instead?"
When he stopped at the stop light i looked over at him.
"You wanna go to the look out?"
I cleared my throat and nodded.
"Not ready to go home yet."
I looked ahead as he kept driving.
"Okay, yeah we can go to the look out. If that's what you want."
I tapped my hand nervously on my thigh.
"Yeah."
i heard his blinker and watched as the trees came into view. the look out was way back in the woods, hidden away from the rest of the world. most of our classmates had notoriously made it the make out spot for a while but it was otherwise a nice get away. it was also supposedly haunted by teens that had been pushed off the cliff sometime in the late 80's but it was just rumors. often times chris and i had found our way to the look out to sit on the roof of his car and watch the sky or even just talk for hours on end. it had sort of become our spot after everyone else moved the make out spot to the park across town. guess they didnt like the idea of ghosts watching them get hot and heavy. his car drove wobbly as it went over the gravel entrance, making its way to the dirt trail. when the cliff came into view i let out the breath i didnt realize i was holding in. i was actually contemplating this. he parked and looked at me but i didnt look back, i just got out like i always did.
"so are we talking or chilling?"
he asked from his side of the car, watching as i climbed up onto the hood and sat in front of the window.
"not sure yet."
he laughed a little before coming to sit next to me. i inhaled deeply, the smell of the woods surrounding us filling my senses in the best way possible. the sun felt warm on my skin and i couldnt have asked for better weather. the breeze swung around us, pulling my hair off my shoulder as the trees rustled in the background.
"isnt it beautiful?"
i asked, noting the clouds rolling overhead.
"uh yeah i guess."
he said making me laugh a little bit and shake my head. i scooted over a bit and laid back against the windshield of his car, crossing my hands under my head.
"have you ever thought about kissing me?"
i asked, not moving my gaze from the clouds moving above me. one of them was in the shape of an elephant and made me smile.
"is this about the bracelet? i told you we didnt have to-"
"just answer the question chris."
i cut him off, turning my head to look at him. he was looking down at the space between us.
"yeah. yes. i have."
i nodded and looked back up at the blue sky.
"so have i."
he raised a brow.
"wait, really?"
i sat back up, scooting back up the hood a little bit.
"well yeah. ive always wondered what it would be like. like a lot of times i just shake it off cause i kind of think about what it would be like with a lot of people but for some reason youre the only person i consistently think about it."
"huh."
he said, looking ahead of us and thinking.
"like not in a weird way, of course, but like i guess youre just my best friend and i spend the most time with you so i guess you on my brain a lot."
"right."
he said nonchalantly. then he looked over at me.
"so does that mean you want the hickie?"
i shrugged.
"i dont know what i want anymore."
then he leaned towards me and kissed my cheek. my eyes were wide despite the conversation we had just had.
"i mean, id gladly oblige."
i looked over at him half smiling at me. damn i was really gonna do this huh? i pushed forward and kissed him quickly, barely a peck on the lips. he was quick to retaliate though, bringing his hand to hold my face and kissing me for real. it was soft and gentle as he moved his mouth against mine. i sighed out as he pulled away.
"is it shitty to say that was my first kiss?"
i said a bit bashfully. he smiled widely at me.
"no, not shitty. its cute."
he said endearingly. i remembered when he had told me he first kissed someone. he was so excited but it was just a peck, nothing more nothing less.
"how bout that hickie though?"
i asked, feeling the blush creep its way to my face, the cool breeze feeling better now on my heated features.
"we can work up to it."
he said with a wink, scooting his body closer to mine. i wasnt exactly sure what that meant but it made my stomach flip. i looked down as he laced our fingers together.
"lets start off slow."
he said quietly, like he would break some kind of untold rule if he spoke above a whisper. i nodded as he leaned forward and captured my lips in his again. it was slow and smooth, kissing him over and over again almost felt like the sensation of warm caramel melting as you ate it. it was much more different than i thought it would be but it was nice. we slowly made out, building up until he pushed me down against the windshield, resting his one arm above my head and continuing to kiss me. i wasnt sure if this would go further but i liked the idea that it might. i knew for a fact neither of us had been with anyone physically yet and that scared me. his movements got a little more needy as he began kissing me a little rougher, trailing his free hand across my throat. i moaned into him before he started kissing across my jaw. i tried to steady my nervous breathing as he made his was down my neck.
"chris."
i sighed out. he just hummed against my skin as he began sucking and biting it, holding me loosely in place. i could feel him getting closer to my body, not that it was necessarily possible, he was already practically laying on top of me. he moaned into me as i felt his hand start slowly moving further down. i grabbed his hand and he froze, looking up at me. i sat up immediately and swung my legs over the side of the car, breathing deeply and running my hands over my face. he placed his hand gently on my shoulder.
"im sorry y/n, i shouldve asked if you wanted more. you didnt exactly say to stop, i thought you were enjoying it. i just, im sorry."
i shook my head.
"no, its fine. i thought i did but maybe i was wrong."
i turned to look at him.
"well you at least got your hickie."
he laughed nervously, making me smile at him. i turned back around and kissed him reassuringly.
"thanks chris."
he looked down at my lips quickly before kissing me again.
"any time."
then something hit him in the back of the head, making his hat go flying. it scared the shit out of me, making me scream. he held me to him, looking around at what couldve done it but there was nothing there.
"i think the ghosts are mad."
he nodded quickly.
"i think youre right, lets go."
i nodded back before he let me go, both of us getting off the car. i picked up his hat and slid into the passenger side, buckling my seat belt as fast as i could as he turned the car on.
"okay no more making out at the look out."
i said a little shaken, reaching over and putting his hat back on him.
"yeah i think youre right. late night conversations yes, kissing absolutely not."
i laughed a little bit before leaning over and kissing his cheek.
"who knew a bunch of teens would be mad about other teens having a little fun."
he laughed at my comment, side eyeing me as he pulled back out onto the main street.
"maybe thats how they died."
he said, winking at me. my face went straight and i shivered at the thought.
"well, they do say go out with a bang."
he looked at me for a second before we both started laughing hysterically.
"whatever, if you wanna go out with a bang im sure we can arrange something."
i smiled in amusement at his comment.
"glad to know theres an offer there."
i watched him as he turned down the street to my house.
"we're officially adults now, i can offer whatever i want."
when he pulled into my driveway he just looked over at me, staring at me with a stupid grin plastered on his face.
"if youre waiting for a kiss goodbye youre not getting it."
he pouted a bit before leaning over the center consol and tickling me.
"what? no kissy wissy? not even a wittle one?"
he joked, as i squirmed, screaming and laughing as he attacked my sides with his finger tips.
"alright! alright! just one!"
i said, making him stop. we both laughed as he continued holding onto me. i leaned into him and kissed him deeply. when i pulled away i stroked his chin gently.
"goodbye nerd."
he smiled widely at me.
"goodbye loser."
he let me go and popped the door open for me. i pushed it and got out, looking back down into the car at him.
"ill catch ya on the flip side."
i pointed at him.
"and youd better be at graduation practice next week."
he crossed his heart with his finger before holding his hand up in the air.
"and miss out on making fun of the principle giving the end of year speech? unheard of."
i shook my head and moved to close the door.
"bye chris."

Part 1 part 2
Photoshoot weekend in a cabin in the woods.
might write a part two but it would just be like a date type setting but ill let yall know if i do lol (edit: i did)
Song: in bloom by neck deep
tag list: @thisplace-ishaunted @alilpunkrock @theoneandonlykymberlee @ryansitkowskiswifey @cynic-spirit @svintsandghosts

"It's great to see you again!"
Chris said as walked to me from his car. I'd been at the cabin most of the morning already setting up stuff for our shoot. He offered me a hug.
"It's great to see you too Chris."
I said, walking with him to the front door.
"Ready for a busy weekend?"
He joked, holding the door open for me. I readjusted my camera in my hand, snapping a picture of him as we walked into the living room.
"The real question is: are you?"
He just laughed and shook his head.
"Aren't I always?"
I showed him to his room.
"Of course you are. I think that's why we get along so great."
I winked at him as he set his bag down, trying to hide the smile on his face. He clapped and rubbed his hands together before looking back up at me.
"If you're so eager to get started, where do you want me?"
Right here? I cleared my throat and shook my head. Wow that was uncalled for. He raised a brow at me.
"Uh let's start outside while it's still light out. Thankfully it'll still be pretty warm this weekend."
He nodded.
"Sounds like a plan."
We both started walking back out to the living room. He motioned to me.
"I'm kinda surprised it's so warm up here. Like I get we aren't exactly up the mountain but I figured it would at least be jacket weather."
I laughed a little as we walked towards the woods behind the cabin.
"Yeah same here. I'm just hoping I won't regret packing for warm weather."
He nodded in agreement.
"I'm sure it'll be fine. And if not we can always come up with ways to keep warm."
He said, winking at me. I tried to hide the mad blush I could feel creeping to my face but just shook it off.
"Uh, here, stand over here."
I said pointing to an opening between some trees and be did as told. I began snapping pictures, thinking to myself 'Hopefully the flirting wouldn't end up like last time.' Yikes.
°°°°°°°°°
I rubbed my hands together before showing them to the fire again. The cabin was absolutely freezing and I clearly had not anticipated the temperature to change so quickly. I wrapped the blanket closer around my shoulders as Chris walked over with two mugs.
"Warm yet?"
He said, smiling and sitting across from me on the floor. I laughed a little bit.
"Yeah if only. My fingers are icicles."
I blew into my palms and rubbed them together again. He waved his hand towards himself.
"May I?"
I gave him a curious look before holding my hands out in between us. He rubbed his hands together before putting them on either side of mine like a sandwich. His hands were definitely warmer than mine and I appreciated the contact.
"Wow, you were right, your hands are freezing."
I nodded in agreement.
"Good thing your hands are super warm."
He smiled at me.
"Guess so."
We just kind of looked at each other for a second before he started rubbing his hands against mine lightly, making me laugh.
"Did you pack something warmer?"
He asked concerned. I offered a bashful smile.
"I would be lying if I said yes."
He frowned at me.
"Here, let me go get my hoodie."
He let go of me and stood up but I caught his hand.
"That's okay Chris, you don't have to do that."
He sent me a look.
"You are freezing, I half thought about giving you my sweat pants too."
I laughed a little bit.
"I dare say they would be a little long in the legs."
He laughed and shook his head, pulling at my hand.
"Come on, come change, even if they are too long. At least you'll be warmer."
I looked at the fire for a second before sighing and standing up.
"Fine. But won't you be cold later?"
he waved me off.
"Like you said, I'm warm. I'm sure I'll be fine. And if not we have the fire, and any other way we could think to keep warm."
There he goes again with the cuddling suggestion. Which I wasn't exactly opposed to but last time his flirting ended up with both of us in a swimming pool. I shook my head of the thoughts as He pulled me across the cabin to his room for the weekend. When we were in there I wrapped the blanket tighter around my shoulders and sat on the edge of the bed, watching him pull things out of his bag.
"Here ya go."
He said handing me the pants and hoodie.
"Thanks."
I stood up and dropped the blanket onto the bed, shivering at the new contact with the cold air. He laughed a little bit.
"I'll go add more wood to the fire and you can meet me in the living room when you're done."
He rubbed my back lightly before walking out of the room. I just sighed to myself and got dressed. My cloth shorts and thin t-shirt Definitely was a bad idea. I had looked at the weather before we came and the forecast called for all warm days, which was true. The days had been super warm, but as soon as the sun went down everything got a lot colder. After I was dressed I wrapped the blanket around me again and walked back out into the living room. Chris was sat on the floor in front of the fire drinking from one of the mugs.
"Better?"
He asked as I moved to sit next to him. I nodded.
"At the moment. I'm still cold but I appreciate it. Thank you."
He smiled at me and took another drink.
"Happy to help."
I stared into the fire as it crackled, picking up the other mug and taking a sip. When I looked over at Chris doing the same I got an idea.
"Oh! Don't move!"
I said before jumping up and running to my room. I grabbed my camera and ran back to Chris still sitting in his spot, now looking very confused. I sat back down and wiggled it in my hand.
"This light is perfect."
I said, making him laugh. I pointed the camera at him and took a few photos, telling him how to turn his body as I shot. I sat back, shrugging the blanket off my shoulders and clicking away, catching the fire reflecting in his eyes. When I pulled the camera away I looked through some of the pictures and smiled.
"Beautiful."
I awed at our handiwork. He smiled at me and took a quick drink.
"Yeah you are."
I heard him barely mumble under his breath as he stared back into the fire. I blushed madly at his words, looking down at my lap before looking at the fire again too.
"You really think so?"
I said in disbelief, barely Above a whisper. Then he looked at me like he'd been caught.
"Uh..."
I raised a brow at him before we both smiled widely at each other, laughing a little bit. He looked down at his lap and nodded.
"Yeah I think you're really pretty, actually."
I scooted a littler closer to him and nudge his arm with my elbow.
"You're not so bad yourself."
He smiled at me before leaning in and kissing my cheek. He was still super close to me, looking in my eyes. Next thing I knew I was pulling him in for a real kiss. It was gentle and soft and he tasted like coffee. When he pulled away he had the biggest smile on his face.
"Would you maybe wanna go on a date with me? Maybe some place not involving water?"
We both laughed and I nodded.
"Yeah Chris, I'd like that a lot."
