Call me a fool but I was Today Years Old when I learned that Night at the Museum was NOT actually filmed in the American Museum of Natural History.
#spent 28 dollars to have my childhood dreams crushed#my flabbers are gasted#my bams are boozled#my hoods are winked#no t-rex bones in the entrance hall#no teddy roosevelt statue#no dexter the monkey#no gay roman or cowboy minatures#nobody else I've spoken to knew this either so I feel less like a fool I'm just mad I had to spend money to learn this#i would've thought a movie ABOUT THIS MUSEUM would've been filmed in it or built a set that looked like it#I know the movies are from the earlier 2000s but the architecture isn't even the same
