Ok no seriously why does no one talk about the trauma Wei Wuxian dealt with at being forced to live in isolation for 3 whole months in the burial mounds? Not even talking about how its a place thats infested with resentful energy. Realistically speaking the effects of isolation is a very well documented issue and from the way Wei Wuxian acts when he comes back he displays very classic symptoms. Heightened irritability, poor impulse control, aggression, general struggles to reassimilate into society and a LOT more. Yeah Wei Wuxian has always been rather reckless and impulsive. As a teenager. But afterwards it's shown to be a lot worse. He drinks a lot more. He isolates himself and avoids his duties as Jiang Chengs second in command. He's much more hostile towards those he deems to have done wrong. He becomes more defensive. Easier to anger.

Some fans (especially Jiang Cheng stans) argue that Wei Wuxian should have said something but anyone who's ever dealt with trauma indirectly or not know how borderline impossible that is. Especially considering the type of relationship the brothers had before. Their rough and tumble was always done jokingly but afterwards Wei Weuxian would have seen his trauma as a point of shame. ESPECIALLY in the culture and childhood he was brought up in. Especially after being accused of triggering the Lotus Pier massacre (which was not his fault in the slightest. The fault of genocide will always lie solely on the perpetrators. No one else). He's been subconsciously told his whole that he owed the Jiangs everything. As close as he might have been to his siblings they still weren't related by blood. If his issue with Jiang Cheng was shame then his issue with Yan Li was that he wanted to protect her from his own pain. Him thinking Lan Zhan hated him and simply wanted him back in Gusu to be punished was a very understandable conclusion.

To say that Wei Wuxian was dealing with a trauma conga line would be an understatement and I hate how so many stans trying to defend their fav completely ignore that. I'm not frustrated with Jiang Cheng for being angry with his brother for the choices he made. I'm angry at him for not trying harder to understand his brother. I'm annoyed at how easily he decides to abandon him. I'm angry at how he insists that their childhood promise was worth more than the lives of the women, children and elderly living in destitute and surviving solely because Wei Ying stands as their defender. I'm frustrated that he doesn't try harder to give his brother the benefit of the doubt and is so easily swayed by the accusations against him. Even Mian Mian, someone who barely knows Wei Ying and is basically a nobody, had the strength and integrity to stand up for Wei Yings actions s and Jiang Cheng couldn't even do that? The fact that Lan Zhan is the only one who acknowledges and thanks Mian Mian for what she did says something.

Politics will NEVER be a good excuse to ignore the atrocities and wrong doings that are being done clear as day in front of you. Jiang Cheng saw with his very own eyes that the Wen Remnants were harmless and still insisted that Wei Ying abandon them. Wtf?

Even if you did want to go into the politics of it let's be real, Wei Ying was an incredibly powerful 'weapon' that was feared by all because of his reputation alone. If Jiang Cheng had stood by him no one would have dared to openly object to him. If you're talking about allies; Lan Xichen would have been reasonable enough to provide whatever aid and support he could and with the reputation the Lans had of their integrity it would have rooted the Jiang clans status even more.

The problem will always be that Jiang Cheng never even TRIED. Mxtx has always put emphasis on her details and there were none for this and that says something. I love Jiang Cheng as a character but I will forever hate him as a person.

As for culture don't even start. I'm Asian, living in an Asian countrh who grew up with Asian traditions. I vehemently disapprove of a the actions the rest of the characters made because culture might make it understandable but NEVER excusable.

If you're not one of the people who thinks these things then this post is very obviously not about you.

I’m creative with ideas but I have a hard time turning them to reality. I like to read books and occasionally write them and listen to music.

Alright– hear me out here. Yes Yushiro bby is a whole chaotic amgry boy, but that doesn’t mean his devotion and love won’t be thrown out the window! TBH it’s Tamayo who insists on letting you join them on their search for a safe haven to continue work and training for defense. He’s apprehensive, as he usually is, and isn’t surprised that you’re not apprehensive but rather…blank. It sets him off initially when he meets you, immediately interrogating you, but refrains from doing anything rash for the sake of staying on Tamayo’s good side.

Though as he get’s to know you he’s slowly becoming attached. As much as he doesn’t want to admit it, he really  likes how warm and supportive you are. Your talkative nature bringing a more humane and warm touch to his life as he actively now seeks you out to engage in conversation. 

He sees your creativity and the struggle of making the ideas you have a reality. He enlists the help of Tamayo for advice, and to your surprise he tries to help you in the littlest ways to keep strong and to focus on one idea at a time. 

He will not let you put himself before your own safety / mental health. If it was him before he met you, yeah he probably would, but he’s attached now and wants nothing more than to protect you and make sure you’re at your very best in all situations. He enjoys seeing your smile and the sparkle in your eyes when you go through your geeky talks. 

Has his own unique ways of showing you affection, like making sure you’re properly eating. Or getting you that book you’ve been eyeing etc.

Overall, he may be a bit prickly, but his loyalty and dedication knows no bounds

Precious baby– okay so Kita is a honest boy who’ll say shit as it is with good intentions. He disregards what everyone says about you since he doesn’t really believe the whole first meeting impression. An individual can change and fully blossom into a true form of themselves before the right people. Which is exactly what Kita’s thought process is. He’s worried when he first meets you ngl. He’s confused by your emotional detachment at first but as he gets to know you and you warm up to him he feels a lot better and talks with you once you’re comfortable enough to get a better understanding of your emotions.

Absolutely adores your passions and your little quirks. Your voice is soothing for him, especially after hearing all the BS he has to deal with between Atsumu and Osamu (god help them all). So your voice brings a new found peace and strength to get through the day~. 

Being the observant boy that he is, he’ll know when you’re putting others before yourself or if there’s something on your mind or there’s something you want to get done immediately. He won’t dance around it that’s for sure, he’ll definitely say it out loud and get confirmation from you. He’s the type to take action rather than let you wallow in your thoughts.

Will definitely be the one to take care of you or call you out if you’re not taking proper care of yourself. 

Other then that, he’s rather chill on affection. He’s fine with hand holding and quick pecks to the cheek, but don’t really expect anything more than that~.

god this man, he’s honestly a mix of both from above. An observant man who knows when to have fun and when to be serious. He’s somewhat understanding of your emotional detached state upon first meeting you, and honestly relaxes a lot more knowing that once you’ve warmed up to an individual you’re more interactive and lively. With the life he’s lived he’s very hesitant on letting others in.

Yet he’s made an exception for you and honestly there’s not a day that he can go by without hearing your voice. If all else, he would definitely be the one to actively find you to at least say good morning or make sure you’ve been greeted for the day. 

Will most definitely be the one to steal anything you have your eye on. Not only that he’ll most likely give you extra bits of food if he notices you caring for others more often than yourself. 

Is the most comfortable with PDA out of the others. Loves to hold you close and indulge in your scent and soak up your warmth. He’s very gentle and loving with his touches as he treats you like a rare jewel. Definitely will have multiple cuddle sessions too! During dates outside, he’s the one who’ll love to have your head on his chest while you guys cloud-gaze or star-gaze (your preference of course)
