Special Containment Procedures: Mobile Task Force Hades-3 “Mist Busters” is responsible for maintaining and guarding SCP-ABB at Site-AD. SCP-ABB-1 is contained within the entirety of level 20 of the Site which ranges [data expunged] allowing a basic ecosystem of SCP-ABB-2 instances to exist. The entrance to level 20 is an elevator guarded by a small, fortified building within the level. Unfortunately, along with the SCP-ABB-2 instances, SCP-ABB-1 floods a large and thick mist into our world which seems to be the common atmosphere of their original dimension. From what we can tell the SCP-ABB-2 instances came from a world of constant fighting and survival and as a result are violent to all forms of life here on earth. Their violent way of life has made them naturally grow a number of anomalous abilities such as spinning acidic webbing, possessing venom that naturally gives spontaneous cancer growths, and the ability to be completely silent despite having large bodies. It is unknown how many SCP-ABB-2 species exist though it’s suspected to be almost equal to the amount of species here on earth.

SCP-ABB was discovered in 2007 and was originally considered an XK Class End-of-the-World Scenario anomaly due to its area of effect's spontaneous growth. Foundation agents within the US government reported a containment breach at the [data expunged] facility on the top of the mountain [data expunged] of [data expunged], Louisiana. SCP-ABB was created by a rogue faction of PENTAGRAM when they foolishly established project Arrowhead. For those that don’t know PENTAGRAM is a highly classified military branch of the US that focuses on combating anomalous and occult threats. However, this rouge faction wanted more power, and it was their stupidity and greed that allowed SCP-ABB to not only manifest but get out of control. Everyone on the mountain died and unfortunately so did the Foundation agents though so did the rogue faction of PENTAGRAM. However, the growth of SCP-ABB's area of influence was so spontaneous that containment was almost declared impossible. The area of influence grew to about 200 km before the Foundation was able to surround and suppress the growth.

The surrounding towns and cities of the incident were unfortunately in full view of the event. Mobile Task Force Gamma-5 “Red Herrings” worked around the clock to suppress all memory and mention of the event while the Foundation moved in. Due to the massive area of effect progress was slow and thus when the Global Occult Coalition moved in to assist, the Foundation accepted their help. It took four days to suppress SCP-ABB's area of effect, in that time over a hundred survivors were found and given Class G Amnestics.

The cover story was that the mist was a toxic gas cloud created from a chemical spill from a U.S. military experiment gone wrong, technically not a lie. Normally the Foundation doesn't pin the blame on lesser organizations like the U.S. government. However, superiors of both the Foundation and the GOC agreed it was proper punishment for allowing a rouge faction of PENTAGRAM to exist in the first place.

Agent [data expunged] was on a covert mission to assist in evacuation of civilians. However, her area was hit by SCP-ABB's area of effect before evacuation orders could be given. Altaurium

A material utterly core to our current existence, it is hard to imagine what a world without it may have looked like. While there are several varieties of altaurium, this documentation intends to cover the most common types, as well as similarities than exist between all variations. COMMONALITIES

All altaurium shares its most notable trait: the ability to impart force on its surroundings, although it is manifested to varying degrees. This force, known as altaurium shift, also necessarily applies a counterforce in the opposite direction, although with careful shaping and manipulation of the material these can both be directed to some extent. Shift is constantly exerted at a low level, with the energy spent resulting in gradual breakdown of the material, and varying degrees of radioactivity between all types. This natural "eating" can be slowed by placing the altaurium adjacent to other dense materials, but all altaurium will eventually be spent.

An alternative source of energy (and the one most commonly used) is electricity, owing to the much finer control it allows over shift. By varying the frequency and strength of electrical impulses as well as their direction, far greater shift can be exerted than natural levels, and directed more precisely. While natural shift has historically seen much use, this was reduced sharply by the newer method, with non-electrical shift being retained in certain niche applications.

TYPE-2 ALTAURIUM

Type-2, or unstable altaurium is not found naturally in large amounts owing to its high rate of decay. Large amounts of Type-1 altaurium must be refined to produce it, making it highly prized and often jealously guarded. Its shift is considerably more potent than natural, and so it sees use in almost all applications - from home appliances to Vaikh-traveling warships. Radioactivity is sufficient to be harmful with prolonged exposure, so proper shielding and care must be given when working with it. This category also includes "double-enriched" unstable altaurium, although this variety is too inconsistent in its shift and has too short a half life to be required outside of very particular circumstances.

TYPE-3 ALTAURIUM

Although small amounts occur naturally, Type-3 largely exists as a by-product of Type-2 refinement. With a dark grey, almost black colouration, Type-3 altaurium is entirely lacking in shift and far denser than previous types. It sees broad industrial usage due to its equally high tensile strength and low cost, along with frequent employment as a component of various composites. As the majority output of any Type-2 refining will be Type-3 Altaurium, it is far less frequently a component of international trade; any group that could afford the transportation fees can likely afford their own basic refining infrastructure.

TYPE-4 ALTAURIUM

The properties of this material are not well understood, let alone its production, and I myself would not believe its existence were it not for a series of unfortunately classified recordings. WHEN the time came for a decision to be made in the hellish bowels of arasaka, fervid protest had brashly contended against the notion of an engramic transfer: a dire gamble which heavily relied on the equivocal stability of the megacorporation's rumored cloning program and the mercenary's cerebral condition after excision. a verbal undertaking had already been pledged at the hotel pistis sophia, a solemn promise to voluntarily surrender the body to its rightful owner which was intended to be fulfilled. v was meant to take priority if their continued existence couldn't be mutually assured, each and every time; thus, a string of imprecations and astringent objections existed as their own variety of obstacles when v's route deviated to the lower levels' research and development department and forewent her arrival at mikoshi entirely. despite all qualms, however, the transfer proved to be a serendipitous success.

at first, there had been nothing and then there had been everything all at once. the first breath necessitated a laborious effort, new lungs heaving under the direction of a new consciousness — a breath of life, for the first time in half a century. the cloned body felt so much heavier than his digital form but to take up physical space was a luxury no longer taken for granted; every limb and corporeal piece of him had weight to it and further to its benefit, the dysmorphia that he initially been present in his host's female form was noticeably absent. it felt right in the ways that mattered — as right as it could be in the circumstances.

shutting the door to the outside in her apartment felt almost deafening - crashing the reality of what they had managed to achieve finally falling down around her. and the exhaustion that seemed to be a permanent part of her being that clung to her bones made it hard for her to discern how she felt about it. relief - possibly. there was a sense of relief there, from the satisfaction of something finally going in her favor - of finally finding a victory in the sea of ruins that her life had become after the relic. relief, yes, that the ticking timer above her head wasn't quite as short. it was still there, but she bought herself years instead of possible just precious weeks. and - alone in her mind again, in her body, she didn't allow herself to think of the implications of walking that road alone now that her other occupant was no longer unwillingly chained to her side. he had his freedom - that was what they had both wanted, right? after johnny no longer looked like the monster under her bed with fangs and claws - after their connection slowly humanized him and she saw a man underneath. not a legend. not a monster -- johnny. she wanted him to have his second chance, and because of that she couldn't be upset if the relic became her issue alone. right? he had no duty to her, and she knew that. she would think about that later - she didn't have the energy to do so in the present moment. as the sounds of the shower pelting against the stall walls filled the small apartment, val busied herself with getting comfortable. stripping off her jacket and laying it over a chair near the door - removing her boots and tucking them to the side. she wanted to sit, and relax -- her body needed it. but her mind was restless. her mind was empty again, and it felt hollow. strange. like a part of her had been ripped out and she hadn't been prepared for the empty feeling that it would leave behind. like prying out out a tooth, or a bone. her and johnny were no longer impossibly entwined by code - once he was showered and whole, she found him sitting on the couch - and she couldn't help letting her eyes linger on him. she wasn't ogling - that wasn't it. sure, johnny was a conveniently attractive man - anyone with eyes knew that. hell, he probably knew that. no, that wasn't it. it was the startling appearance of the blank slate of his skin - lacking the scars and ink that she was so accustomed to decorating his skin in her head. he looked different, in more ways than one. he looked real, like his body actually took up space. like he wasn't about to flicker and glitch out of existence; like his lines held structure. the couch under him bowed under his solid weight, and she couldn't keep her eyes off him for the moment - her eyes lingering on his facial features; even his hair was different. his scruff, short and barely existent and lacking the patches of scar tissue along his jaw. but his eyes -- his eyes were the same. her expression was unreadable as she eventually crossed the room, sitting on the edge of the coffee table near him. because her own mind, picking apart whatever she had going on there, wasn't important at the moment. she could only imagine what was going on in his - what he was feeling. she takes a breath and speaks, looking up at him again to try and meet his eyes. "how do you feel? do you need anything?" her pantry lacked anything of luxury, but she at least could keep him from going hungry.

AU(s) where all the mod videos Tommy does, along with some other videos, are all alternate universes, and their residents end up in the SMP. Chaos ensues.

Voice Mod AU:

Universe where nobody talks aloud. They telepathically communicate, and the closer you are, the clearer and louder you are, unless you have the control the lower your mental voice.

Why?

Post-apocalyptic world(because Tommy said welcome to the new world at the start, and I too that and ran with it). They’re the new versions of humans, created after life returned on the planett, and the telepathy is a survival method, because outward noise draws predators, inner noise does not.

This also means they possibly have some other features similar to that. Like maybe Quackity’s duck wings being from some newly evolved duck species in the new world, Wilbur being a bit abnormally tall, or similar. I’m not sure.

Oh hey, no, Wilbur can be like a tree hybrid or something, cause Treebur.

Basically, evolution and telepathy.

Wilbur has a horse named Bert, he is speedy, and spends just as much time dragging his owner out of trouble than he does riding him into it.

The gang is basically just traveling the lands, exploring what’s about.

There are fish-horses, ender-horses, spider-horses, silverfish ponies, and horses that are somewhat like a breed between llamas and sheep in the world.

There are a lot of new horse breeds.

The Quackity of this universe wears clothes a lot like Manhunt Dream’s, hoodie-wise, but it’s all bright blue, and his mask has the :] face on it.

Size Mod AU:

Universe where people can shift and change sizes, though only to certain ones.

For example, Wilbur’s stuck small. He can shift to the size of a small dog, height wise, or that of a flower, but he can’t get big. Quackity can go smaller than Wilbur, or literally bigger than the Enderdragon. Both Tommy can be normal sized, or big, and Phil’s can be about the size of a tree, or become the size of a small mountain.

They all live in a nice house in the plains and spend their time terrorizing the locals.

Wilbur has a little house within the house, and he uses his size to cause havoc more often than not. Quackity is equally guilty of this.

Sometimes when the kids are being particularly bad, Phil puts the smaller ones in a compost bin and holds Tommy off the ground until he starts behaving.

Quackity’s a follower of the Blood God. Not to Techno’s length, but he goes and kills rabbits for him, and dedicates the chaos his giant form causes to the guy. In return, the four always have a flourishing harvest, and Quackity’s absolutely mean in battle.

Wilbur sleeps in one of Tommy’s old shoes that he stole and made into a bed.

Honestly, Wilbur’s kind of like the house mouse. He steals stuff and vibes in his little home in the walls. The cats that occasionally slip in try to eat him a lot too.

Wilbur and Quackity are bird hybrids, Tommy’s a zombie hybrid(cause he’s fighting a zombie and saying ‘I burn’ at that little bit), and Phil’s an iron golem hybrid.

Quackity and WIlbur have little bird-houses set up around the area for them to dart into and hide if anything comes after them.

They all met when tiny Q and Wilbur tried to rob Tommy and Phil. They succeeded with Tommy, but Phil was less than impressed at the attempt. Somehow it resulted in them all sharing a house.

Dragon Mod AU:

Universe set in more medieval-themed world. Phil, Quackity, and Tommy are dragon hunters. Wilbur’s a mischievous dragon sorcerer who enjoys shapeshifting into a dragon to mess with people. The hunters were originally sent after him, but spent more time frantically running for their lives while he laughed at them.

Wilbur’s actually good friends with the actual Enderdragon, who he calls Keithette. It was with her blessing that he decided to pick on the hunters.

He just spends all of his time messing with them. That’s all he does. He messes with them. It’s originally more malicious, which means they had a ridiculous amount of deaths, but they eventually all grew fond of each other, so now it’s more playful.

He helps them find treasure and scares off rivals.

Tommy’s a trained medic.

Quackity and Wilbur are...something? It’s a Skephalo situation. They could just be very affectionate friends, or they could be dating, or they could be messing with everyone. Nobody knows, and everytime they think they’ve figured it out, the two seem to magically know and do something to throw them off.

They’ve confused many, many people with their antics.

(They’re probably messing with people though, because they definitely know what they’re doing)

When the actual Enderdragon and her egg mysteriously went missing, Wilbur rounded up his friends and asked for their help in finding her-so now the group is on a quest to find her and return her to the End.

Natural Disaster Mod AU:

Universe where world ending natural disasters just keep happening. It killed off a lot of people, but honestly, at this point, it’s been going on for years, and those that remain are pretty used to it.

Tubbo and Wilbur are followers of the Mule God, and were brought together by him. Jack and Tommy are two good friends who came together to survive. And Phil’s a top-tier survivalist who keeps an eye on the four, mostly because he’d feel bad if they died too often while they live in the area.

Though they’re all three different groups, they stick together and help each other out.

Tommy and Tubbo were childhood friends before the disasters separated them. A young Jack found Tommy and took him in, and Tubbo was saved and blessed by the Mule God. They’re still friends, but have somewhat grown apart with their differing lifestyles.

Tommy’s a penguin hybrid.

Tubbo and Wilbur have been known to try and scam people passing by, and they have tried this with everyone in the area too-the difference is the ones who stick around know better than to buy it.

Whenever Tommy wants to hang out, he declares he’s rescuing Tubbo, and steals him from whatever he’s doing. Wilbur has long since accepted that occasionally Tubbo is going to be stolen, and doesn’t even blink anymore.

Tommy wears green, and Tubbo wears red.

Storm riding is a favored sport of Tubbo’s, where you grab a hang glider and get swept up into the storm. Jack hates it, but often gets dragged along anyway.

Morph Mod AU:

Universe where shapeshifters are more common, and Tommy, Charlie, Phil, Schlatt, and Wilbur are all a clan of them.

They co-exist with humans, and actually protect the local villages they live close too.

They also spend a lot of time messing with people outside said villages, but that’s unimportant.

Charlie and Wilbur prefer to be aquatic creatures. while Phil transforms into whatever works better for the environment he’s in. Schlatt just does whatever, and Tommy usually sticks to human form, only shifting when he’s bored or he needs too.

Wilbur tried to transform into a horse once, while in fish form. He’s not sure what exactly happened, but long story short, he’s the reason for the myth of the hippocampus.

They have a house in the village, one out, and then general little areas meant for them in animal form.

Because shapeshifters are strongly group-oriented, they prefer to shift in pairs or groups. Charlie and Wilbur typically pair up, as do Schlatt and Tommy. Philza doesn’t really have that instinct as strongly, so he just stays close to them instead.

Laser Eye Mod AU:

Universe set in a futuristic setting, where, due to an ancient void deity becoming malicious, Tommy, Phil, Charlie, and Wilbur are selected to become plasma wielding cyber warriors(futuristic magical girls, basically) to fight back against such threats.

These four’s cybernetics were embued with magic to produce specific plasma that would be effective against threats.

Phil wields divine plasma, and it’s fired out from his cybernetic wings, which were implanted as a military experiment. He can even detach a feather to act as a plasma covered sword.

Tommy wields phoenix plasma, and it’s fired out of his cybernetic eyes, which were transplanted into him when he was in an accident young, rendering him blind. They allow him to see by scanning out the outlines of objects and areas, and feeding the image into his brain.

Wilbur wields soulfire plasma, which is fired from his prosthetic legs, which have a kind of mermaid-motif, with fins and all, and make him a fast swimmer.

And Charlie wields greekfire plasma, fired from his cybernetic arm-it can also fire slime-like globs that rapidly grow and incase the area they’re attached too.

Wilbur was actually the first selected for the program, but he went missing shortly after, stolen and controlled by the void deity, who turned him into quite the obstacle for the others.

They eventually rescued him from it’s control, and after he recovered, he joined the fight.

Endermen and endermen hybrids are common minions of the void deity-it seems to have End-based origins, being able to control them.

Lava Ravine Mod AU:

Universe where Phil, Charlie, Wilbur, and Tommy are all strangers, who get a mysterious invite to an unknown world. It seems like a lovely vacation at first, strangers aside, but things turn deadly when a seemingly normal ravine in the ground begins to grow, the lava inside it begins to rise, and our heroes find themselves unable to leave the world.

They soon realized they may have been selected for their ability to survive, but to do that, they’re going to have to all work together.

Tommyinnit originates from the world of RLcraft, Phil grew up in Hardcore Mode, Charlie is a fallen god from a world of chaos, and Wilbur has lived through a world like this before.

They build a giant glass and stone dome, and live within there, using their various skills to survive.

Wilbur pretty much knows how this world works to a T, and is able to predict when the lava will raise and how quickly. He knows how to survive and work around the heat.

Tommy and Phil have a variety of skills from their lives before, not limited to first aid and cooking.

And Charlie’s got a bit of godly power he can put to good use here, as well as many out-of-the-box ideas for what to do.

Charlie brought a card-game from his old world, and teaches Wilbur how to play. It becomes a favorite past time of theirs.

Jump Mod AU:

Universe where enhanced individuals have recently begun to exist. Tommy, Wilbur, and Quackity are some of many who choose to use their new abilities for their own gain, becoming thieves. They were taken under the wing of master thief Philza, who was in the game long before he gained his new powers.

Or, well, they were thieves. A job gone wrong resulted in them being caught by authorities, and forced into a deal. Once thieves for their own gain, now they’re agents for the government, stealing back what was stolen from their country.

All of them are generally more physically enhanced, with agility, endurance, and all that jazz. But they also have other abilities.

Tommy’s faster than anyone. Wilbur can refract light, essentially becoming invisible. Phil can communicate with birds. And Quackity can change the density of anything he touches, himself excluded.

Philza was actually caught because he stayed behind for his new partners. He had realized someone was looking into them, and didn’t want the younger ones going into that alone.

TNT Mod AU:

Universe where everyone is a mob hybrid, and they live divided in tribes. Tommy, Phil, Charlie, and Wilbur are a tribe/keg of creeper hybrids, who protect their territory, and cause havoc for any trespassers who happens upon them.

No one dares settle there, because these four are just as likely to swear a village’s protection as they are to laugh as they set it ablaze. It’s purely up to how they feel at the moment, finicky keg that they are.

However, there is a reason some do venture here.

Every tribe/(name for grouping of specific mob) guards a certain treasure. For the creeper boys, it’s an orchard of apple trees that grow, not only red apples, but gold ones too-and rarely, a god apple.

If you do happen to stumble upon their territory unintentionally, your best bet is to appeal to Wilbur, as he does have a soft spot for people-of course, you’ll need to make sure none of the others think you’re taking advantage of that soft spot, lest they slowly and painfully kill you for even considering it.

Creepers are very friendly to them, and see them as one of their own. Other mobs, not so much.

The orchard is surrounded by a dense forest, that’s abruptly lets up to a clearing that rings around it. This is where the keg lives, in high tree houses all connected to one another.

Their forest is their pride and joy, and it’s filled with many exotic trees and plants from around the world. Bringing them an addition for it is a sure way to assure your survival, and even gain an alliance, if it’s a really good addition.

Likewise, messing it up even slightly will immediately get you murdered.

Black Hole Mod AU:

Universe where the sun exploded and became a black hole that’s slowly consuming the world. Though many perished, some survived, with the advanced technology in the future.

Wilbur, Charlie, Phil, and Tommy are some of those survivors.

Charlie is a scientist, studying the black hole to see if there’s anyway to perhaps stop it, or survive within it once it consumes them.

Phil’s a former mercenary who came to the lab with Tommy, after finding the young student stumbling about the remains of a city.

Wilbur’s the former on-board scientist from the crew that first encountered the black hole. He was originally presumed dead, but suddenly reappeared one day, and was found nearby by Phil, who dragged him to the lab. He’s...different. He’s seen things.

Charlie and Wilbur graduated from the same university, and were actually working in the same lab before Wilbur joined his crew in space for an up-close study.

Philza has a bad habit of adopting any creature he finds, and it’s become something of a joke by the four. He adopted Tommy, he’s adopted Wilbur and Charlie, and he has quite a few birds and other creatures that followed him back.

Body Shuffle Mod AU:

Universe where glitches a common sight, and humanity has evolved alongside them.

The world basically...well, I wouldn’t say revolves around? But glitches are a large part of life at this point, and players have specifically evolved to be able to work with them.

A common glitch includes the Body Glitch, where random body parts will seemingly vanish off a person without causing them harm or effecting them.

Tommy and Charlie are Takers, people who have a special, glitch-specific gene that allows them to take a glitch effecting a being or item, and pull that effect from said being/item, and upon themselves.

They’re equally loved and hated, considering the rarity of the gene, and what uses it could be employed for.

The two have a business that they use this ability to take and relocate glitches for various purposes.

Philza and Wilbur are the two’s bodyguards turned friends, who protect them from less savory people, and suss out the ones with bad intentions.

Gas Mod AU:

Universe set in a modern fantasy world where a mysterious gas suddenly overtook the planet. Many died. A few survived-but for some of them, that was the crueler fate, as the mysterious gas began to make them monsterous creatures that sought flesh and blood.

Tommy, Charlie, Phil and Wilbur are the scattered survivors in a city overtaken by the gas, banding together to fight back the monsters born from the green fog, and stay alive.

Wilbur was formerly a cartographer on a ship. He’s also half siren, and his most priceless possession is a diamond dagger given to him by his former captain.

Charlie is a doctor, as well as a wizard. His magic pet is a slime-like dragon. Yeah, he’s not sure where the little guy came from either.

Phil got a whole cocktail of heritage, but most are sky-related, so he’s got a strong grasp on air magic, which he uses to create safe bubbles for the gang to breathe freely.

And Tommy’s a low tier human-turned demon after death- an imp, basically. He causes havoc.

They all have to wear gas mask, which are heavily enchanted to keep the gas from affecting them.

The group basically just has a weirdly domestic life in the abandoned city, after they cleared out an abandoned apartment building to chill in.

Surgery Mod:

Universe where the gang are the experiments of a mad scientist having escaped.

Tommy is a poison-based experiment, Wilbur is a Nether-based one, Philza is an End-based experiment, and Charlie is an Over-world based one.

They were all grouped together in a cell because the older three are part of the Dimension Project, and Tommy accidentally imprinted on Wilbur when he was created, meaning he would have died if he was separated from him.

The four eventually decide that they hate this life, and stage a break out with the rest of the guys experiments.

Once they escaped, they decided to travel the world as a family, exploring everything they’d never had the chance to see, and finding where they belonged in this place.

Lava Floor Mod AU:

Universe where all the oceans in the world have been replaced by lava. For Ninja, Tommy, Wilbur, and George, their get-along vacation goes south when they’re stranded alone on a chain of distant islands, far from any sign of civilization.

If they ever hope to survive, they’ll have to put their issues to the side and work together to get to the one place unaffected-the Nether.

Tommy ‘Smokes’ Notfound, and Wilbur ‘Soot’ Fortnite are the two children of the struggling couple George ‘Specs’ Notfound and Ninja ‘Bow’ Fortnite, who haven’t seen each other in years, despite still being married.

The two, knowing how close their kids were, agree to meet up so the two can hang out, which is why they ended up on this vacation on the first place.

Wilbur and Smokes would really appreciate if their parents could get along too-it’d make vacation a lot nicer without all the tension. And yes, they could worry about all the oceans turning to lava, but they won’t. Instead, they’re going to be gremlins who try to get their parents to make up, whether that means divorce, or becoming a happy couple again.

Rising Void Mod AU:

Universe where the planets are being eaten by the void. Tommy, Philza, and Quackity are all aliens who managed to escape the demise of their home planets, and crashed landed on Earth, with the intention of warning them of what was coming.

Unfortunately, the only guy around for miles is Ranboo, a conspiracy theorist who prefers his isolated mountain cabin to the city...and also is in complete denial about the existence of aliens, even if they’re standing right in front of him.

Quackity is from a planet where ores and gems have a large part of fashion culture.

Tommy’s planet was the first to fall. However, Quackity was the one who was closest to be touching, and it leaves side effects-like him occasionally hearing it’s eldritch whispering calling for him to surrender himself to it and stop fighting-

But, y’know. It’s fine. It’s all good.

(Although he does happen to be the most aware of their inevitable fate, and uses humor to cope with the knowledge that no matter how hard they try, he and these people he’s grown to care for are going to die, and there’s absolutely no way to stop that)

Sky Grid Mod AU

Universe where Ranboo is a young, lonely god born to a grid-formed world. Though he has made many interesting creations, he decides he wants someone like him. Who can listen, and answer, and love, and hate.

And the universe loves him, so it answers.

It finds two souls who’ve died too young, and puts them into his hands to mold as he wishes. One, he creates in colors of green, like grass, and emeralds, and poison alike. The other, he creates in colors of red, like lava and poppies, and warm beds.

Their names are Tubbo and Tommy, and they’re different than what he thought they’d be. They cannot be controlled or remade, but they can bleed, and they can laugh, and most importantly, they can make choices.

And they choose to love him, taking him in their embrace as a friend, treating him kindly, and as one of their own, regardless of his power or abilities.

The three make a home in the gridded world, finding themselves and never fearing the fall, because the world loves both it’s godling, and the people made within it.

Terraforming The Moon AU:

Universe where the remains of humanity have fled to the moon upon the destruction of earth. They unintentionally awake age-old space deities, who, luckily for them, feel like lending a hand-mostly.

Wilbur is the only actual deity of the moon, but the rest of the SBI spend more time there than they don’t, because humans are interesting.

Tommy’s the youngest god, a deity of the stars within their young galaxy-it’s a position that was passed onto him by the former star deity, Clara.

Technoblade is the deity of both Mars and Venus. He’s actually been to Earth a few times before it’s destruction, and finds their cultures fascinating-particularly the Greek and Romans.

Philza is the god of the End. The oldest, he’s not just a deity, he’s a primordial of the end of all things. Truthfully, it was the very end of Earth that awoke him from his slumber, and it’s former inhabitants interesting lives that keep him awake.

They all pick a human to favor, and help out. Changes on the day.

Honestly, they aren’t necessarily malicious? They don’t really consider the fact that humans don’t have the same limitations and powers as them, so occasionally they fuck something up that somebody worked hard on, and don’t understand why they don’t just fix it already, not realizing that the humans actually have to take awhile to do that.

One Hundred Player Laboratory AU:

Universe set in modern time.

Wilbur and Technoblade are two university students trying to do a study for their finals-unfortunately, the rats they were supposed to use are both oddly sentient, and incredibly chaotic.

Techno and Wilbur are doing a study of behavior, and other scientific things. To do this, Techno has built a large, complex maze/building thing.

And Wilbur purchased a bunch of rats-except, he probably should have been a bit more careful who he bought from, becomes these rats definitely understand human speech, are all not normally colored, and desire to be as annoying and detrimental to their grades as possible.

To put it lightly, it’s not going well.

George’s If You Laugh You Lose Rematch AU:

Universe set in a chaotic, light-hearted world.

Sapnap, Karl, George, and Dream are some of the world’s residents.

Karl and Dream are chaotic shapeshifters who enjoy messing with George.

Sapnap’s a mischievous nether spirit who likes to team up and help them do it.

Karl can shift into objects, and Dream can turn into animals.

The whole world is comedic, and all it’s residents have a permanent case of the giggles-to the point of making a game of how long one can hold off laughing.

Sapnap usually takes the form of an enderman or enderman hybrid

The Mysterious Stranger

The Anime, the Manga, and the Mark Twain Novella

"God will provide for this kitten." "What makes you think so?" Ursula's eyes snapped with anger. "Because I know it!" she said. "Not a sparrow falls to the ground without His seeing it." "But it falls, just the same. What good is seeing it fall?"

There is a short novel by Mark Twain, written near the end of his life and published posthumously, entitled The Mysterious Stranger. The tale is set in a small village in 16th century Austria, where three boys one day meet a young man different from themselves: "he had new and good clothes on, and was handsome and had a winning face and a pleasant voice, and was easy and graceful and unembarrassed, not slouchy and awkward and diffident, like other boys."

The mysterious stranger starts to do small but amazing tricks for them—causing water to turn to ice; conjuring grapes and bread out of air; even making birds that can fly out of clay. At last one boy, the story's narrator, works up the courage to ask the stranger who he is:

"'An angel,' he said, quite simply, and set another bird free and clapped his hands and made it flyaway."

The angel then proceeds to really impress them by making an entire toy castle, complete with five hundred miniature soldiers and workmen that move around by themselves. Naturally the boys get involved with this ultimate playset, making their own knights and cannon and cavalry, and although they get rather nervous again when the angel reveals his name is Satan, he assures them he is not that Satan, but only named after the fallen one.

"We others are still ignorant of sin; we are not able to commit it; we are without blemish, and we shall abide in that estate always." Distracted by two of the miniature workmen, "Satan reached out his hand and crushed the life out of them with his fingers... and went on talking where he had left off: 'We cannot do wrong; neither have we any disposition to do it, for we do not know what it is." Horrified as the other boys are, "he made us drunk with the joy of being with him and of looking into the heaven of his eyes, and of feeling the ecstasy that thrilled along our veins from the touch of his hand.'"

Yes, Kaworu Nagisa made quite an impression on the fans of Neon Genesis Evange/ion, despite the fact that, in the original broadcast version of the TV show (before it got all director's-cutted, box-setted, special-editioned, and platinum-lined) he shows up for only slightly less than thirteen minutes of total screen time, the climax of which being an entire minute where nothing happens at all.

That's what being a beautiful angel will do for you, especially when you make the most of your thirteen minutes on Earth by having a Whirlwind romance with the main character that ends in a lover's quarrel with Prog Knives and finally a voluntary martyrdom at the hand of your boy here. Relationships don't come any more tragic than that of Kaworu Nagisa and Shinji Ikari, and when fans (including this one) first saw it on TV, the affair was so brief and shocking the story logic of it didn't click in until much later.

In the anime, Kaworu is acknowledged as the Final Messenger, and, of all the Angels Shinji has to fight, this is the most ruthless battle, won at the highest possible cost to himself. It took even longer for me to realize that the showdown in episode 24 had also taken us full circle from Shinji's first fight in episodes 1 and 2, which emphasized his personal helplessness against the looming Angel Sachiel. Against Kaworu, it is the Angel who becomes the small, helpless figure, while Shinji is represented only by the gargantuan, frightful helm and arm of his Eva Unit-O1. We never see Shinji's human face once throughout the whole final minute of decision.

So as Col. Trautman would have said instead of Major Katsuragi, "It's over, Shinji! IT'S OVER!" Kaworu v. Shinji (or Kaworu x Shinji, in the doujinshi) was the big final showdown between humanity and the Angels. And with the outcome leaving Shinji at his most wretched ever, wouldn't it be nice if everyone just died—your wish being Eva's command, as it turns out that fortunately humanity hardly ever needed the Angels to slaughter itself.

"I am perishing already—I am failing—I am passing away. In a little while you will be alone in shoreless space, to wander its limitless solitudes without friend or comrade forever...But I, your poor servant, have revealed you to yourself and set you free. Dream other dreams, and better!"

Satan's words near the end of Mark Twain's story also uncannily prefigure the end of the world and the Instrumentality project, both of which follow his death in the TV show in such quick order you picture Anno as a hairnetted fry cook dinging the counter bell. By now you see Sadamoto's handling of Kaworu, and perhaps nothing illustrates the different experiences of the manga and the anime better than his handling of this critical character.

No longer the last Angel to be fought, Kaworu actually becomes an active Eva pilot and fights an Angel—the dude even has the nerve to observe the fight is fixed, based on his knowledge of SEELE's prophecies. Sadamoto of course introduces him at an earlier point in the narrative—at the equivalent of episode 19's end—and then sends him to NERV near the equivalent of episode 22's beginning—before certain important events, to put it mildly, can occur. When one notes this kind of thing, of course, it's important to restate that the Evangelion manga has always been a separate but equal "official" version of Eva, with no particular obligation to align itself with the anime, and indeed it was with Book Five, the first released after The End of Evangelion, that Sadamoto began to truly seem free to go in his own direction.

Nevertheless, as the "other" official version of the Eva story, it is reasonable for fans to view it as an "alternate history" relative to the anime, and the way Kaworu has been introduced makes us realize the manga may end very differently indeed. Despite the fact we know here that Kaworu is an Angel from the very beginning, he appears destined to at least hang around long enough to pick up a few paychecks. It's not clear when your health benefits kick in at NERV, although if Ritsuko is your primary caregiver it might be best to forego them.

Sadamoto's remarks upon visiting the U.S. in 2003 indicated that the Eva manga might (might) be planned as a twelve-volume series in all. There is still plenty of room for speculation, as the slow working pace to which the artist himself often refers has of late become almost relativistic—as of this writing, it has been eight months since Sadamoto has drawn a new installment of Eva in Japan, and hence a Volume Ten is nowhere in sight. It may be small comfort, but those of you reading this are pretty much in the same drifting boat as the Japanese fans.

"An angel's love is sublime, adorable, divine, beyond the imagination of man—infinitely beyond it! But it is limited to his own august order. If it fell upon one of your race for only an instant, it would consume its object to ashes. No, we cannot love men but we can be harmlessly indifferent to them; we can also like them, sometimes."

And with Book Nine we see the most staggering difference thus far between the manga and the anime; Sadamoto's Shinji doesn't even like Kaworu, much less love him. Of course, you could say the less-ethereal Kaworu of the manga is harder to love. I can't believe Sadamoto had him tell Rei he thought she'd be "heftier." And yet he did.

I don't think any A.T. Fields actually got penetrated in the anime; while I do think Shinji felt sexually attracted to Kaworu, and that you the audience are supposed to feel that he felt it, what Kaworu himself thought was a very different matter. Like Rei, I believe Kaworu to be innocent—coyly, he appears not to be so, because while Rei needed to be reached out to, Kaworu has come to reach out; whereas Rei has spent her existence being observed; Kaworu has come to observe.

Indeed, in the manga, Shinji's irritation about Kaworu's invasion of his personal space seems almost a parody of his attitude in the anime. In the TV show, when Kaworu put his hand on Shinji's, he flinched but did not pull away; whereas in the manga it's easy to imagine Shinji slugging him. Instead he goes to run after Rei, hoping to get closer to her again.

I hardly think the change reflects any phobia on Sadamoto's part (after all, we even get to see Shinji's "Unit One" in the manga), but the fact the manga Shinji is less emotionally bleak and empty, and hence less vulnerable. Shinji's just as negative in the manga, of course, but it's an active variety, rather than the passive negative creep (in the best Nirvana song sense) we know from the anime. We don't have to imagine him slugging Gendo; from the look of surprise on Dad's face in Book Seven he would have smacked the beard off his face if Kaji hadn't stopped him.

Neither is Shinji in a positive emotional situation where we leave him here, either; indeed at this point in the manga there's arguably no one he can turn to—the more brutal fate that befell Toji has cut him off from his school friends, Rei has become hesitant, Kaji is dead, and his perennial self-esteem booster Asuka is going to need to rebuild her internal supply before she can even get back to calling him a loser and idiot.

So, like Misato trying to put her own hand on Shinji's, all I can do for now while we wait for Sadamoto-sensei is to recommend for your winter vacation reading list The Mysterious Stranger, which I can almost guarantee will give you new angles to think about Kaworu, and may even earn you class credit besides. A quick look at the novel's comments on Amazon list a teacher who says fundamentalist students walked out of his class when he taught it; another compares it to The Matrix; those who dislike it call it "sick," "bitter," and "twisted." Sounds like good old Evangelion to me!

Conversion Corner: PF2 Ancestry Rewind part 4

Leshy Heritages

Today, rather than focusing on an entirely new ancestry, let’s take a look at how Pathfinder 2nd edition expanded upon one that already existed, the leshy, formerly the vine leshy!

When vine leshies were introduced in first edition, late into it’s lifespan, they were introduced as an advanced form of the various other forms of leshies, created to serve nature as all others do, but possessing full independence compared to other leshies, able to learn a profession and become adventurers.

While dependant leshies do still exist in 2E, mostly as familiars for druids, they also decided that it would be much cooler if all types of leshy could be independent, so the leshy ancestry allows for a much wider variety, which we will be reverse-engineering to first edition today!

Leshy Alternate Heritages: These alternate heritages replace the normal vine leshy ability adjustments, the unassuming foliage and climber racial abilities, and modify the change shape ability so that the leshy takes the form of an appropriate plant for their heritage.

Cactus Leshy: Surly and taciturn, cactus leshies are slow to befriend others, but they can be steadfast and loyal, even sacrificing their own vitality to keep others alive.

Alternate Ability Adjustments: +2 Con, +2 Wis, -2 Cha

Alternate Abilities:

Thorns: Cactus Leshies are covered with thorns, which grant them two slam attacks which deal 1d3 bludgeoning and piercing damage. Additionally, foes that strike the cactus leshy with natural attacks or grapple them also take this damage.

Cactus Fruit: A cactus leshy can take 1d4 Constitution damage to cast goodberry as a spell-like ability, using their level as their caster level.

Change Shape: The cactus leshies alternate form resembles a cactus, and retains the leshy’s thorns ability.

Fruit Leshy: Resembling miniature trees or other fruiting plants, fruit leshies embody the very picture of generosity.

Alternate Ability Adjustments: +2 Con, +2 Cha, -2 Int

Alternate Abilities:

Fruit: Once per day, a fruit leshy can infuse a single fruit with healing magic, which acts as a potion of a single-target spell with the word cure in its name with a spell level equal one half the leshy’s class level. This fruit spoils after 24 hours, making it nearly impossible to sell to those knowledgeable of it’s nature unless they have immediate need of it.

Change Shape: A fruit leshy’s alternate form resembles a Small fruit-bearing bush or fruit tree sapling.

Fungus Leshy: Proud and dedicated workers, fungus leshies have little care for how alien their gardens and works appear to surface-dwellers, and most are content to make and create in peace, offering the fruits of their labors to those who visit them.

Alternate Abiity Adjustments: +2 Con, +2 Wis, -2 Cha

Alternate Abilities:

Darkvision 60 ft.

Spore Cloud: Once every 1d4 rounds, a fungus leshy can release a cloud of spores as an immediate action after being hit with a melee attack. The attacker must make a Fortitude save (DC 10+Con modifier) or be sickened for 1d4 rounds.

Change Shape: A fungus leshy’s alternate form is that of a Small mushroom.

Gourd Leshy: Famous for their love of superstition and ritual, gourd leshies adore good luck charms and all sorts of folk remedies and stories.

Alternate Ability Adjustments: +2 Dex, +2 Wis, -2 Int

Alternate Abilities:

Keepsake: Gourd leshies have space inside their carved heads for a single fine object, which is warded by nondetection and kept pristine by constant mending. A gourd leshy can draw the object inside their head as a free action.

Superstition: Gourd leshies gain a +2 bonus to saves against magic.

Change Shape: gourd leshies take the form of a small gourd-bearing plant or singular gourd

Leaf Leshy: Dedicated protectors of the forest, leaf leshies take training to fight smarter and harder very seriously, and prefer hit and run tactics so that they may live to continue protecting the wilds.

Glide: When a leaf leshy falls, they can choose to glide, granting them a fly speed of 30 ft, but they cannot use this fly speed to ascend, and must end their turn at least 5 feet lower than when they started.

Light Body: Leaf Leshies are immune to falling damage.

Change Shape: a leaf leshy’s alternate form is that of a small tree.

Lotus Leshy: Enigmatic and introspective, lotus leshies spend much of their time meditating, but they do love honest debate and new perspectives, but also believe that direct answers do little to stimulate the mind.

Alternate Abilities:

Dream Pollen: Once per day, a lotus leshy can unleash a 15 ft emanation cone of pollen. Targets within must make a Will save (DC 11+Con modifier) or fall asleep.

Spell-like Ability: Constant: lily pad stride

Change Shape: Lotus leshies take the form of a water lily or lotus plant

Root Leshy: Root Leshies are derived from plants with strong taproots or root vegetables, and tend to be quite stubborn and immovable.

Alternate Ability Adjustments: +2 Con, +2 Wis, -2 Cha

Alternate Abilities:

Root Nourishment: Root Leshies can go an extended period without sunlight as long as they have soil, allowing them to go twice as long without sunlight before being affected by starvation.

Stability: Root leshies receive a +4 racial bonus to their Combat Maneuver Defense when resisting a bull rush or trip attempt while standing on the ground.

Change Shape: Root leshies have an alternate form resembling a small plant with a strong root system.

Seaweed Leshy: Cosmopolitan and highly social, seaweed leshies are eager to learn about other cultures, but consider their freshwater equivalents to be backwards compared to themselves.

Alternate Ability Adjustments: +2 Dex, +2 Cha, -2 Wis

Alternate Abilities:

Air Cyst: Seaweed leshies grow air bladders from their bodies that can be detached and gifted to other creatures, acting as a potion of water breathing that lasts 10 minutes. Seaweed leshies grow four such cysts each day, but they spoil after 24 hours after being detached, making them nearly impossible to sell.

Waterbourne: Seaweed leshies are able to breath both air and water, and gain a swim speed of 20 ft.
