Halloween was fun i do love to be in a pack of roving teenagers demanding candy from the elderly but we took a wrong turn on the loop back to our car and ended up walking six fucking miles in our costumes
#like three different people asked if we were from the community college#and then another said oh its so great you guys are still trick or treating#PLEASE WE'RE 17 WE'RE STILL TECHNICALLY CHILDREN#the cape was really fun until mile 3#ik 6 miles isn't THAT crazy but we stopped at this playground when we finished getting candy right#and we start figuring out our route#oh okay it's like a half hour walk to the car#we start walking#its half an hour#no car. we're passing the same house but we can't really tell cos it's the suburbs#we keep walking. at this point we are all yelling at the friend who is supposed to be navigating#one of my friends has her phone halfway in her mouth to muffle some smooth jazz and it's hilarious but also my sanity is slipping#and then we reach the SAME FUCKING PLAYGROUND after an HOUR OF WALKING#at this point we've been walking longer than we took to fucking trick or treat#and i just start screaming#...then we realized where we took the wrong turn and trek another half hour back to the car all fucking furious#we were gonna go hang out after but everyone is so sweaty and tired we all just go home and collapse#i ditched like half my costume and by the end i was essentially in a sports bra snd slacks drenched in sweat#did i mention it was 90 DEGREES for about 2/3rds of this#god. we got the good candy but was it worth it
