Honestly, I like reading your asks cuz I agree with a lot of your takes on things, but it gets borderline annoying seeing taekookers and their insecure asses, either about taennie stuff or jikook.

Like, jungkook is just living his best life right now. His song gained success, and he felt the fandoms' love. That happiness shows in his vlives more often, he's grateful and wants to establish a small side of carelessness when it comes to his actions with fans so he's more confortable showing his //naked// body, bantering with his friend, flirting with army....just having fun overall. I honestly like to see it, but I know he's supportive behind the scenes of his boyfie. Like tae must be working days and nights as we speak, what jungkook can do is show support privately, which im sure he does, and that in no way means not having fun by himself.

If anything, Jikook only prove actually, day after day, that they are out of loop with each other's life. Hanging out sometimes sure, but not keeping up constantly with each other's day to day schedule, which is something you do with instinctively with your partner.

And the pic ? From what I've seen, it could just be a pic of how "bad" jimin looked at that moment, which is why he didn't want to go live with jk.

Yeah, I know. I was surprised by the amount of asks in my inbox this morning. And when I actually saw the live... I was really like: This? This is what's worrying you all? But, there's always going to be fans unsure about the whole. Most come here for reassurance, and some come here to.. make a point apparently. I don't mind explaining how I understand things, but I can see how to convinced Tkkrs... it gets tiresome. It's basically creating drama over nothing. The most weird to me is people actually announcing that they're now into Jkk... like okay... bye.. enjoy... see you back in a few when something Tkk happens probably.

As an ARMY myself, it irritates the living shit out of me to see how ARMYs are so very obsessed with streams and whatever. With the size of the fandom, they will naturally do well on the charts and with streaming numbers, so I do not understand the insistent need to ALWAYS be dominating everything and to beat most artist's geniunely-earned records (like YouTube premiere records) and even their own records.

Proving what? That BTS is the best and that they're untouchable? All it says to me is that their fandom is huge as shit, because as we all know, and like you said, good music does not equate high numbers (and I look directly at those 3 English singles, and the other shit English "artists" that have high numbers).

I don't know how that started and if it's a K-Pop mindset (which it seems to be, judging from the things I've seen from BlackPink's fans), but it's becoming very annoying now. No other artist stands a chance, no matter how genuinely good they may be. I'm not saying BTS don't deserve it, but ARMY's obsession is thoroughly annoying and borderline ridiculous. The numbers that they would naturally get, would beat out basically every artist anyways; I really don't get all the streaming goals and whatever.

ARMYs are quick to say that they don't consist of 15 year olds (which is true), but this all sounds like a bunch of kids that have nothing better to do with their time and energy.

I really do, however, we have to understand BTS broke into a western industry that’s notorious for being xenophobic and placing white straight men on pedestals. BTS Hot 100 #1s have mostly come from fans mass buying the music. Which isn’t a bad thing. Fans of musicians are buying their music. So what? The only problem is that their streams where ridiculously low:

See that’s the problem. They’re radio spins are already practically non-existent because radio stations in the USA aren’t too keen on playing music made by a South Korean boyband, but at the same time you’d think their millions of fans who brag about them breaking records and being the biggest boy band in the world would I don’t know, actually listen to their music? The Hot 100 #1 wins aren’t thanks to the millions of ARMYs all of the world. No, you can than the small grassroots groups on Twitter that set up funding accounts and organize mass buying rounds. BTS don’t have ARMYs right behind them, if they didn’t they wouldn’t have to resort to mass-buying to chart, however what they do have are dedicated fans who care about their success, which is as good as it’s going to get. I’m not going to call their #1s inorganic, because western artists have done a lot more for less (music bundles, Spotify ads counting as streams, the constant playlisting on music streaming services, not to mention the radio stations nationwide who play their music non-stop). However, I will say HYBE has seriously fucking deluded themselves and sent this entire fandom to hell if they really think their last three singles are worth a Grammy. It’s a good thing Coldplay stepped in with My Universe or who knows what other single-word noun song they’d be promoting now. My Universe has a decent shot at Best Collaboration (which Coldplay didn’t submit this year and might next year). HYBE submitted Butter to as many categories as they could but they only get one nom for best collab. ARMYs will be upset if they don’t get the win, but only time will tell. Mark your calendars for April 3rd everyone.

Lastly, this is what happens when a company prioritizes fake relationships over music. You get an influx of fans who start stanning for the wrong reasons. An influx of fans that care more about the next taekook, sope, namjin, ot7, or whatever moment than they do the music. I attended the last two PTD in LA concerts and the number of people who couldn’t sing along to their non-butter songs was appalling. BTS gained such a huge influx of fans thanks to that long period of quarantine and I genuinely can’t take any Dynamite/Butter/PTD era ARMY seriously because of it. Then again, if those were the first few songs of theirs I’d heard then there’s no way in hell music would be my reason for stanning them.
