I'm aware margaret's arc gets a lot of flak for various reasons but I've always been fond of it - I think people misinterpret her into more of a revolutionary figure than she is (which is not a bad thing to be. I just think someone like sona is closer to being that than her); at her core she always struck me as a romanticist, with all the good and bad that entails for a person. arthurian even. like some old order of the garter shit. margaret's the stuff closest to maria's tales, the knight fighting the ocean. reason says she's doomed to failure and yet there's something beautiful and inspiring about how she shines anyway.

it's always been about "I will burn so bright to show that there's hope, that there's good in this world worth fighting for, being fought for because I am here." to give those suffering hope, and to encourage others to pick up their weapons against injustice. others like viviana, who might've abandoned any faith and hope they had for the world. it's nice to see margaret's arc continue this way, in viviana emulating her spark and fighting stance. candle inspired by the sun.
