Travis being a cat person is so cute; it shows a calmer and more innocent side of himself. Most people believe that having a black cat causes bad luck. Jeane is a Scottish Fold and has dark patterns in her fur. I have a lot of opinions on that matter:

Travis's late half-sister was named Jeane. She is the reason Travis became an orphan. She herself had a terrible past, having been abused by her father. Jeane's dark patterns represent all the trauma Jeane had to endure.

Travis's luck: As an assassin, Travis risks his life when facing other assassins, but he always comes out victorious. Even when he doesn't kill his enemies directly, he still wins (e.g., Letz Shake, Ryugi). It's as if his cat brings him luck in all his battles, though this isn't the case for others. Jeane indirectly causes Thunder Ryu's death.

Jeane’s presence is a form of good luck, or a guiding force that ensures Travis’s success despite the odds.
