I attended NJPW Southern ShowDown 2019 Melbourne show 29 June 2019 at Festival Hall (I thought that building closed down last year?). SUPER AMAZING NJPW PPV live show overall! - Will Ospreay vs Robbie Eagles IV = even Wrestling Match of the Year 2019 locked easily!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It went on for about 35 minutes. Variety of crazy moments & kickout at 2 counts! Promo video revealed epic history storytelling between both talented pro wrestlers! Definitely one of the greatest live matches ever I have seen!! - Being there in person was TRULY SPECIAL experience as Aussie wrestling fan! After Main Event match finished; Kazuchika Okada The Rainmaker took a microphone, said thank you fans, & he will coming back soon!! NJPW 2020 AUS Tour may be happening then. 👀 - #njpw #njpwsouthernshowdown #njAUS #njpwaus #njpwworld https://www.instagram.com/p/BzVrRg9jzTz/?igshid=1sizj5ezjfyaq

So today, former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes shared my photo on his Twitter today while on Tour with New Japan Pro Wrestling Fallout Tour.
When I saw this, I was so fucking happy that this even happened, words cannot describe it. I wasnt expecting a reply, but I got 3 likes on 3 seperate photos and shared the photo. I’m so freaking happy!

While BOSJ rolls on, NJPW is still trying to sell tickets for future events. To that end, Jushin Thunder Liger has been added to the G1 Climax 29 opener in Dallas. Which, fair enough. Liger is a big attraction this year, what with this being his retirement tour. It’s doubtful he will be part of G1 Climax, but he’ll be here to pop the crowd. The ticket sales have improved, and there is even now a $35 option, whereas before the lowest ticket was at $50. Maybe that’s helped, who knows. Either way, one of Liger’s final US appearances will be in Dallas in July.
Three more names have been added to the Southern Showdown tour in Australia as well. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Toru Yano and Taiji Ishimori provide a mixed bag of announcement there. I haven’t checked up on ticket sales for this tour, but NJPW in Australia is more of a rarity than in the USA, and they did add this second show, so I’m sure they will be sellouts.
Wednesday, BOSJ resumes, with the first of three nights at Tokyo Korakuen Hall, which also begins four nights of cards with nothing but tournament matches. So if you’ve been pining for shows of all singles matches, have I got news for you...
- 5/22/2019, Tokyo Korakuen Hall
