Bloodsport XII
November 24th 2024
Nixon Newell vs. Tenille Dashwood
Prior to the opening bell, both Dashwood and Newell were asked to shake hands. Neither woman even stepped forward, let alone offered a hand. This isn’t an environment between two people who respect each other and are competing just to prove who is better. These two can’t stand each other. At Bloodsport XI, the duo got into a shoving match backstage and both women were asked to leave the venue before the conclusion of the show. Obviously, they both blamed each other.
With a handshake out of the question, the duo instead come toe to toe as the official tries once again to convince them to play within the rules. Setting the tone for the match, Newell responds with a headbutt to start the match. Showing no desire to trade holds, Newell instead targets the head of Dashwood, trying to knock the Australian out quickly. At one stage, Newell gets Dashwood down and is able to mount her. Newell rains down the hammer blows, but Dashwood manages to cover up and avoid most of the impact. Before long, she manages to slip free and quickly get back to her feet.
Newell looks to continue the beating, but in her eagerness to do so gives Dashwood the opening to stomp on the surgically repaired knee. Suddenly, the tide turns as Newell struggles to stay on her feet. Dashwood tries a take down but her inexperience in the style is obvious and Newell is able to pull free. But not for long. Switching tactic, Dashwood connects with essentially her Spotlight Kick, but aimed directly at the knee of her opponent instead of the head. Newell’s knee bends awkwardly as she finally falls to the mat.
Instantly, Dashwood attacks and attempts a knee bar but once again her inexperience in the style shows as Newell uses her free leg to kick her way free. Only a few minutes in, and both women have made their tactics crystal clear. Dashwood wants the submission. Newell wants the knockout. A stray kick from Newell is enough to allow her to break free of the attempted knee bar and send Dashwood into retreat. Having gotten kicked in the face, the Australian retreats to the floor to regroup. In the ring, Newell takes the chance to tighten and adjust her knee brace, knowing it will be targeted again soon.
With Dashwood pacing on the floor, Newell moves in and yells at the Australian to return and fight her. Seeing an opening, Dashwood quickly grabs the ankles of Newell and trips her, but doesn’t return to the ring. Instead, Dashwood drags Newell to the ring post and quickly drives the knee into the ring post multiple times. Understandably, Newell cries out in agony but Dashwood doesn’t let up. Instead, she pulls Newell into the post again and this time applies a hanging figure four, putting as much pressure as she can on the knees. The hold is obviously illegal and Dashwood gets a warning before she eventually releases it.
Irate at herself for falling for it, Newell punches the mat as she drags herself away from the post. Suddenly, Dashwood is happy to return to the ring and is now full of confidence. This time Dashwood continues the assault with kicks to the knee while telling Newell to give it up. Newell tries to connect with a right hand but comes up short, no longer having a base to push off of. Despite having her opponent in a very vulnerable position, Dashwood doesn’t go for the kill and instead continues to verbally lay into Newell, letting out some of the pent up hatred she has for her. Dashwood paintbrushes Newell across the head before delivering another kick to the side of the knee.
Newell glares up at her opponent before spitting in Dashwood’s direction. The Australian manages to avoid the unwelcome gesture and tries to pie face Newell. But in doing so, she allows Newell the chance to grab her wrist and bring the Australian to the mat. Not taking any chances, Dashwood rolls through but Newell wasn’t attempting a submission. Instead, as soon as Dashwood turns, Newell connects with a right hand to the face to stun her opponent and send her falling to a knee while checking to make sure she isn’t missing any teeth. Obviously, Dashwood complains to the official, and Newell gets a warning for the use of a closed fist but after how Dashwood used the ring post, she doesn’t care. Getting to one knee herself, Newell once again tightens and adjusts her knee brace to try and continue the match.
Once Dashwood is happy that she still has all her teeth, she turns back towards Newell to attack again, only to be met with the Shiniest Wizard. A stunned Dashwood slowly sits back up, but Newell isn’t done yet. Newell now uses her bad leg, and the knee brace, to hit a second Shiniest Wizard. This time Newell cries out in pain herself and punches the mat again, having risked her own wellbeing in order to land a decisive blow. Much to her delight however, Dashwood crumples in a heap next to her and doesn’t respond to the official’s commands. Even in a seated position, Newell grins and raises her arm in victory before the match is officially called as a knock out victory for the Welsh native.

Henriette Wyeth
Henriette Wyeth, born in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, was the oldest child of the famous illustrator and artist, Newel Convers Wyeth. Her father recognized her exceptional ability to draw by the time she was five. Henriette developed her technique at her father’s side and continued her formal studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. By the age of twenty, she was a successful portrait painter, earning numerous commissions.
Though Henriette vowed never to marry a painter, she fell in love with Peter Hurd, a handsome young artist from New Mexico who came to Chadds Ford to study with her father. They were married in 1929 and eventually moved to the Sentinel Ranch in San Patricio, New Mexico, to raise a family and pursue their painting careers.
Henriette is nationally recognized not only for her sensitive and mysterious still-life paintings but also her stunning realist portraits. She captured the personality and mood of her subject and rendered them in her incomparable style. During her career, Henriette received portrait commissions from such notables as Mrs. John D. Rockefeller III, Mrs. Pat Nixon, and Mrs. Helen Hayes.
Her paintings are represented in the permanent collections of the Brandywine River Museum, Pennsylvania; the Los Angeles Athletic Club, California; the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution in Washington; the Roswell Museum and Art Center, New Mexico; the Museum of Fine Arts, Santa Fe, New Mexico; and the Fine Art Museum, Texas Tech University.

That's AEW for ya, they are completely all over the place especially when it comes to storylines. I don't watch WWE but I hope Tegan finds her place, I've always had such a soft spot for her ever since her Nixon Newell days.

Newell vs De Lander vs Pandemonium (c)
Pandemonium had been nothing short of a fighting champion, and she was more then happy to bring the Stardust title to Effy’s Big Gay Brunch and defend it. Standing in the ring with Nixon and Steph, she gave them both a nod of respect. But Matt Cardona’s new friend was not going to let Pandemonium charm her way out of this. Quickly shoving Nixon out of the way, she and Pandemonium squared up. Pandemonium quick to react sent a sharp round house kick to Steph who quickly thought better and backed out to leave Pandemonium with Nixon. Who was all too eager to jump into the ring with the Stardust Champion, offering a handshake of respect to the to the champion they quickly locked up.
Nixon showing Pandemonium she wanted to hang when it came to chain wrestling and quickly flipped the champ off her feet with headlock take over. Pandemonium’s long legs wrapping up and coming around her neck and changing positions. Pandemonium now looking at Nixon allowing her try again by taking the champion’s neck and bringing her up to her feet. But Pandemonium takes the wrist and twists herself out of danger and takes control of Newell’s rest. Pandemonium and Newell getting into a bit of a chain and catch wrestling, it’s at that moment De Lander makes her presence known by kicking Pandemonium in the back who was in the middle of putting on a chain wrestling clinic. Pandemonium letting up and rolling onto her back trying to protect her neck.
Nixon on her feet quickly corned De Lander who had broken up a rather good contest between the two of them. Pandemonium soon followed and the two of them teamed up to work together. Steph into the ropes was able to turn using her size and strength and she brought both down to the ground with a double clothesline. Steph focusing on Newell in this moment brings her into the corner that was occupied by Pandemonium forcing Nixon’s weight into the champion before running to the two of them splashing her body onto the two of them.
Steph scooping up Nixon and bringing her down on the mat with a suplex, Pandemonium still recovering but she was no safe being picked up and dropped onto the mat as well. Pandemonium slipping out of the ring but De Lander knew enough about Pandemonium to not let her go unnoticed. Sending her back first into the apron of the ring. Before Steph could do anymore damage to her, Pandemonium digs her fingers into De Lander’s eyes and gets her back off. Angered Pandemonium gets struck down again she was going for one way trip to the ring post but Pandemonium is able to reverse. But you can’t stop De Lander and she brings her again into the apron. Pandemonium rearing her arm back she takes out not only Steph but Nixon who was coming to her aid. Newell hit in the face and rolling back.
Pandemonium into the ring tries for a quick cover —
1….
but Nixon kicks out and hits Pandemonium who was already unsteady.
Missile drop it, and Pan is covered.
1…2….
But the champion kicks out quickly. Again Pandemonium is getting woman handled now Nixon picks her up and drops her with a side suplex trying again for another pin
1….2…
Pandemonium kicks out again.
Nixon is on the offensive, but it’s quickly taken from her with a big boot from De Lander, but Pandemonium is now on the top rope Pandemonium twisting up and over De Lander hooking her neck and dropping down with the Law of Return. Pandemonium going to hook the leg to end it, but Nixon breaks it up. Pandemonium being taken by the hair to the corner but Pandemonium stops allowing this quickly. Reversing and firing shots, but Nixon turns the tables back on her but is cut off when Steph comes from behind and belly to back suplex’s Nixon leaving Pandemonium and Steph again.
Pan seems to be holding her own and Steph seems to be in trouble but out of nowhere it’s Matt Cardona who comes running around ringside grabbing the Stardust Title holding it up like he was going to take it. Pandemonium having dealt with Cardona before is quick to LAUNCH herself over the top rope. Hitting Cardona flush with a top rope suicida.
The belt goes flying but Pandemonium doesn’t notice, De Lander who grabbed the belt and is going back into the ring. Cleaning Newell’s clock with it going for the pin…this is how Pandemonium’s reign is going to end.
1..2…..THR—-
Pandemonium from the ropes comes flying in and landing on both Nixon and Steph to break the count. Rolling to her feet she comes to meet De Lander who is recovering, and Pandemonium quickly locks in the Neck Tie, Steph De Lander taps!
“HERE IS YOUR WINNER BY SUBMISSION, AND STILL STARDUST CHAMPION — PANDEMONIUM!!!”
