in 2024 it will have been 10 years since i really "got into" fantrolls for the first time and made this bunch of guys with @cakenasty-trolls, who is now one of my oldest friends. so in recognition of that i thought it was about time i took these guys out of cold storage and gave them the fresh coat of paint they've been begging for

Today is May 4th, 2024 and today's card is Blast of Genius, as requested by @niseag-arts!

On his back he wears a cylindrical device with a lightbulb looking vessel in the middle and three rods on the top. Each of the rods is emitting crackling blue electricity. Below the tech on his back there's some sort of boxy accordion-looking technology that is also emitting technology behind him curving upward. A long cord coming from the boxy technology runs up to a gauntlet on this guy's arm. The gauntlet has powerful aura of electricity around it possibly coming from a circular indent in the middle of the gauntlet filled to the brim with the same blue electricity.

The man has mid-length greying black hair with white stripes, and a black beard. His gauntlet arm is raised at a 90 degree angle, he's wearing blue robes with red accents, and he's in the foreground of the image. The building behind him has their lights on which you can see through their windows and above the building a dragon raises its head ominously.

This card is a blue and red Sorcery that costs 4 uncolored mana, 1 Blue mana, and 1 Red mana. Its rarity is Uncommon.

Its rules texts reads "Choose target creature or player. Draw three cards, then discard a card. Blast of Genius deals damage equal to the discarded card's converted mana cost to that creature or player."

Its flavor text reads "Ral Zarek's brainstorms bring actual thunder and lightning."

🌊lots of things pointing to nayru as well. niseag is my main water deity, both associated with blue/bluegreen so they work well together. I also randomly decided to dye my hair blue and I think that may have been influenced by her lol

👽turned on the radio to random alien Lazer beam music on the classic channel (it's called water wine brandy brine btw). Also found an Ocean Dreams CD that claimed to cure liver disease and was too dangerous to listen to while driving because it was SO relaxing. He lovess new age ocean vibes!

🎸 been listening to a lot of classic and progressive rock lately, he is the Bard so music is kinda our main form of communication

🍀been getting 4s a lot lately, which they are the 4th colour so that tracks

🎧my usual sleep podcasts newest episode is 'journey to atlantis' theme

🐍Lots of loch Ness monster stuff coming up in ads and on my timeline which is his patron cryptid. also a definite influx in mermaid and dragon imagery, which are his most commen manifestations

🤯wack nightmares sbout dragons or straight up being Niseag and swimming around so that too

🧠the lesson they gave me this month was about being on the brink of recovery but getting threatened to fall back into bad habits and yeah let's just say hu tzoye' (the lord) is testing me and the anger side of my BPD since I proved my rejection sensitvity dysphoria is under control

🃏 Channeling him through the cards has given me a peek into his struggles with something I struggle with as well: being a vessel of so many different people 🤪 although I'm not a system, I do share this body with other spirits so hes brrn good st reminding me that I can only do the best I can with the resources im given!!!

🤔Lots of thoughts on death, reincarnation, and all the relationships and ties those create. can you be mad at someone after they've died and changed into something else? We shall see!

📖 urge to write more, which he is the Bard so he has the inspo to give!

First up we’ve got

Sefusneezed’s amazing oc Kat :3 she’s very silly and I love her a lot teehee! Little girl fail out here living her best life. IMO if you put my Biologis theta (shrimp—) and her in the same room for even two seconds some deadly unkillable virus would probably be the result—

Then comes Wyn0rrific’s Emperor’s children marine Vitus!!! Another very good interesting goober!! Ima sucker for a wet meow meow looking silly-billy >w<

Niseag-Arts’ AdMech oc Artemis is next in this bout of obsession and they peak my interest in the lore department :0! Can never have too many little Admechs obsessed with the strength kf the Omnissiah and I love their concepts of control of tech

The Choosing of the Spread reading

I did this method for the 🎈 cycle and really liked the results so I'm trying this again. I struggle a lot with finding spreads that fit my needs, and I'm also not the best at asking the best questions so I ask the deck what it wants to talk about. Kind of reverse tarot where I'm interpreting the question not the answer. It's good practice to really know your deck inside and out! I'm showing you the behind the scenes notes on how I came up with the spread for the next kvi starting Jan 11th! Image heavy warning!

To put it shortly, I asked for a sign from the gods to tell me who to work with for this month because there are 8 aspects to this entity. I had a dream that night that I was the green aspect who I call Nis/ Niseag (aesthetic tag linked). Then later at work a fish jumped out of the tank and I happened to be around to pick it up and put it back in the tank before it died so yeah fish guy aspect confirmed! I pulled from Niseag's deck The Wizard Tarot and from the deck of the whole entity,( aka The Askbox Wizard, aka big mama, aka Chat?) Alleyman's Tarot. The Wizard Tarot doesn't have a guidebook so I'm using Galaxy Tarot's RWS interpretations and Alleyman tarot to supplement.

Reverse Hanged Man Symbolism of the deity: Green, green skin, snakes, being trapped, being trapped by a snake, being trapped by choice Interpretation: Being stuck in your own perspective, narrow-minded views, feeling trapped in a situation, being impatient Justice Symbolism of the deity: half dead/half alive, black dog, equity and fairness Interpretations: Painful justice, revenge, taking back what's yours, banding together to take on bigger enemy, community action, direct action The Spread: THE ATTACHMENT and WHERE TO CUT For the questions I chose to go with 'The Attatchment' and 'Where to Cut'. Especially with some of the recent shadow work readings there seems to be a lot of hestiation and unwillingness to change, or know where to start. The Attachment is meant to show where the biggest hold back is, the Noose, the thing that's slowly squeezing the life out of you. Where to cut is the quickest actions you can take to make things better, but it will also be painful and have consequences. Things like, break up, quit your job, stop being an asshole, cut out your shitty family, big life changes. If you are looking for a nice uplifting reading this probably is not the one. the Justice here talks about revolution so that's the vibe. I will make a formal post Jan 11th with more details on how to get the slot!
