Guess who had their first snowfall last night? 🤷‍♀️😁 I wasn’t awake to see it, but I heard about it today. So I’m guessing this autumn is going to be of the short kind 🙈😭 When do you guys usually get your first snowfall? October is a pretty common time here - I always get snow for my birthday (almost), which is on October 30th (yes I managed to lure my birthday into my caption again)! It doesn’t stick until November/December, though, so there’s that. . Good morning! It’s currently 6am right now, and I’m feeling a bit cross eyed 🤪 Are you guys coffee drinkers in the morning? Do you ever indulge in a proper self care day now and then? I’m talking scented candles, face- and hair masks, body scrub, tea, nailpolishes, clean sheets on the bed and basically shaving everything that needs shaving (yes I went there 😂). . Sundays are usually my self pampering day, but I’ve been so lax with house chores these past couple of months. Like REALLY lazy. And I can’t for the life of me properly relax and do self pampering when the bathroom needs cleaning, the kitchen needs tidying up, and my shelves need a proper re-organizing. . I’ve pulled myself together, and this week is the «clean the frikkin house you lazy woman» week. I’ve already done the upper floor (after work yesterday), and I have the bathroom and bedroom left (after work today). So, this sunday will for sure be spent home spaing... if that’s a word. . I’m getting a lot of DM’s lately asking how I edit my photos and which apps and what filters I use, so I thought I’d make a small post telling you guys about my editing process. I don’t mind the DM’s though, and I always try to reply 🙌 . First off, I do some editing in Photoshop on my Mac. If you’re not familiar with Photoshop as a tool, this step is not really necessary, but I see the difference in my own photos, and would therefore never forego this step. I basically edit exposure, temperature, and then I add suface blur, sharpen the edges and resize my images. Then I add them to Dropbox and wait for them to transfer into the Dropbox app on my phone. . On my phone, I always open my photos in Afterlight first. Here I add clarity, and tweak the selected saturation bars, usually toning down the red and blue. . Then I open my images in VSCO, and all I do in this app is to add filter A4. A4 is one of VSCO’s most beautiful filters, and I feel like it’s hard to go wrong with it. I always tone it down just a little, to about +10 (it’s set on +12 as a standard). . Then, finally, I open Snapseed. And here’s where the magic happens, haha. I use the Grainy Film filters, but almost always tone down the grain to either 0 or max 10. As for the filter I use, it’s currently A01. I used to use X04 (I practially swore to it, I used to love it so, so much), BUT A01 gives the same color effect as X04, without damaging the quality of the photo (sharpness and clarity stays put). I find that X04 kind of adds a faded effect to photos, which I’m not a fan of... it makes the images flat and dull, and I want mine to be bright and pop out of the screen. . Then I add a final touch of structure and sharpness, and voila! You get the result pictured above. . Does anyone edit the same way as me? Is there an app or filter you absolutely love to use?
