mild nileruka headcanon stuff since i have them on the brain atm:

even tho niles is canonically bi, i still hold true to the idea that beruka is demi--esp since opening up and embracing moments of emotion, be them quiet or overwhelming, and having that bond is a strong part of her supports. tho i'm weighing this only on a hc (and the relationship is still queer even if beruka was confirmed to just be het; biphocs go stub your toe or something), the fact the relationship is queer is still why it holds my adoration to this day.

nileruka thoughts of beruka clapping hands on niles's face and jerking his head in her direction to sternly say something to him, but both get embarrassed to silence when they realize the close proximity of their faces to one another's (+noses brushing).

thinking about that nileruka comm wip i received a few days ago, and it's like the one pick-me-up i have lol. it captures the peace i want these two to have after the war and CRIES even after all these years they're still part of my top 3 otps--
