First of all, the conditions in which the crime could be completed. While the act of poisoning itself isn’t all that difficult, it’s necessary to be familiar with the layout of the resort as well as Sakuma-san’s movements beforehand. That’s why everyone was initially suspicious of the chef and the butler.

Tomoya: O-oh, so that’s how it is. The majority of us reported at the same time that day, so we wouldn’t have the time. But this doesn’t rule out the possibility of others having come here before, or arriving early and pretending they arrived the same time as everyone else.

Tomoya: (Ah, that’s right! This is the SSVRS, it doesn’t work the exact same way that real life does. I guess it’s somewhat similar to a high speed driving game, or those side-scrol kind of games, where you can reach your destination as long as you clear the level…?)

Ritsu: What a pity, it seems like you came here for nothing. I gather that the chef, who’s one of our suspects, is probably in no mood to make anything for you.

Niki: Nah, that’s not the case~ Whatever this guest feels like having, I’ll go and make it immediately! Over here, I have all the ingredients I could ever want; not to mention, I don’t need to spend any additional money! It’s a chef’s paradise ♪

Hiyori: Thank you, then. I hope that your craftsmanship won’t disappoint, given that I had to travel such a long distance just to get here. 

Mm~ What should we do while waiting for tea and snacks, hm? Oh, right, what were you guys talking about earlier on — the thing about… suspects?

Mao: It’s like this—

Hiyori: Don’t whisper over there while I’m talking! It’s very rude!
