👩🏾‍🌾Garden update! The trellis is filling in nicely! The bodi (long beans) made it to the top quickly, followed by caraillie (bitter melon), cucmber and loofa. Chad and Myles put it together in about an hour. We've been saving fruit and veggie scraps in the freezer for a month and shredding papper and cardboard. Feels good to be decreasing our carbon footprint and the kids are learning the science behind composting and how beneficial it is! 👩🏾‍🌾 The kids and I collected 4 gallons of worm tea from our Worm Factory 🪱🪱 *Worm tea is an organic fertilizer that's excellent for plants!* The compost worms are doing really well despite the 100+F days we've been having. We've been keeping them watered and I feed them frozen food scraps to keep the bin cool.
