Hey Marshall what was it like in the early days of paw patrol when it was just you and Chase?

When it was just me and Chase, Ryder was still toying around with the idea of leading a rescue team. He always asked our opinions on it too, so we worked together on a lot of ideas to make it happen. Our training only began after Skye and Rocky joined us, so we weren't working at all before that, only having ideas, helping him with the projects, building things, etc.

Other than that, Chase and I spent most of our time playing together, or going for walks in the town to meet people and have fun at the playground. I couldn't go too far in the beginning because I'd get tired quickly, but Chase was very patient with me and would make sure we had plenty pauses to rest, until I could stand walking and running longer distances on my own!

Rocky why do you tend to wear your hat outside of missions?

Why do people put sunglasses on their caps? Or wear their caps backwards when out in the harsh sun?

What he means is that he likes to wear it, no matter if there's a mission or not.

And I wear my cap backwards on the beach because it makes me look cool.

Another interesting one do your any pupacks ever put a strain on your backs? If so how do you handle it?

It depends on the situation. They're built to be comfortable and as lightweight as possible, but also strong and resistant... They can stand a lot of pressure, while we can't, so it depends mostly on our own limits.

And whenever one of us goes over these limits, it's up to me to give them a back massage... And scold them to be more careful next time.

Not gonna lie, it's funny to see Zuma trying to scold Chase. It's like he doesn't want to hurt his feelings so he's not really scolding, and then Chase does that kicked puppy face and it's game over for Zuma.

Have you ever counted how many spots you have Marshall?

Third or fourth time someone asks about your spots...?

And you still have forty seven. Shouldn't there be more by now?

Go figure. But I'll grow more at some point for sure.

Are you pups ticklish?

Marshall is!

You too, Rocky. I'm pretty sure Zuma's ticklish too.

Not my fault my leg will kick if you scratch the right spot. But yours kicks way easier!

Marshall since your a Dalmatian do you have some health problems

You know, there are plenty perfectly healthy Dalmatians out there...

Anyway, yeah, I do have some health issues, it's no secret to anyone just how clumsy I am. When Ryder adopted me, I could barely stand on my own for too long, always stumbling and tripping over my own paws. My hind legs had no strength whatsoever. It took me a lot of physiotherapy and him a lot of patience until I could run longer distances without tripping so often.

But I don't have this issue just because I'm a Dalmatian, it's because of the place where I was born. I was too young when the police raided the place and took us all to the shelter from where Ryder got me, so I don't remember much, I can't really tell you how it was there. All I got is that the one time I asked Ryder about it, he said it was an illegal breeding facility, and that I probably got genetic issues due to inbreeding.

What did it feel like to be a werepuppy Rocky?

It was pawsome! I was bigger, stronger, faster... It felt like I could do almost anything!

Why do you pups like treats so much

Same reason why people like snacks, I guess?

Yeah, they're tasty, there's nothing to dislike there!

Do you pups get cold easily

From the three of us? Only Marshall. I'm double coated.

Yeah, same here, and my fur is a bit thicker than his too.

And that's still relatively, anyway. I can play in the snow just fine for hours, it just depends on keeping active, so my body temperature won't go down.

Does Marshall have a tendency to sleep walk? If so how do you deal with him in that state?

Yeaaah, he still does that. Sometimes it's easy to wake him up, sometimes he wakes up on his own, sometimes he just won't wake up no matter what we do.

When we get him to wake up, we just make sure he goes back to bed safe and sound. But when he doesn't wake up, we try to guide him around safely, removing obstacles and turning him around so he won't trot into the walls, until he wakes up.

I tried to splash him with water once, but that didn't work. I guess he's so used to work with water, it doesn't affect him.

Our best plan so far was to hold a beef stick in front of him. He didn't wake up, but he followed the smell and I guided him back into his pup-house.

Rocky how did you get so good at repairing things?

I'm not sure how or when it started, but it comes from way before I was adopted by Ryder. I have always been curious to find out how things worked and how to build or fix stuff. Since I was on the streets, I'd work with whatever material I could get my paws on, in other words... I've been reusing stuff since before I can even remember!

How are you so light enough to be lifted off the ground so often Zuma

I'm just not a big pup yet, I guess... And unlike Skye, who's careful about everything she does... I tend to forget about this one small detail...

Zuma Whats it like being one of the youngest on the team?

I used to get more attention from the others in the beginning. They'd always check if I ate my whole bowl, if I remembered to clean myself, if I needed anything at all... After Rubble's arrival, this attention turned to him and nowadays they mostly let me be.

With Ryder, I never had that problem of never having new things, getting only hand-me-downs from the older ones. When Ryder gets something new for one of us, he gets new stuff for everyone else too.

Zuma what made you like being around water so much

My breed, probably? Haha! Jokes aside, I was lucky to be born by the beach. The best thing in a Labrador's life is to live right next to their element! And how many pups can say they got to live in a surfing school? Double lucky! And after being adopted by Ryder, got to continue living next to the sea, so, triple lucky!
