San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, located in Central America and still under the auspices of the USA, is located on the oceanfront in the northern part of the country facing the Atlantic Ocean. It is northeast of the Caribbean Gulf. This largest city in Puerto Rico is the most important and beautiful port city of the Caribbean Islands. Thousands of tourists visit San Juan each year, both by cruise ships and by other means. Its magnificent colonial architecture, cobblestone streets and colorful houses in the Old San Juan District, its oceanfront location and natural parks are very influential in this regard. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXP2CgiaLtQ[/embed] Founded by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1521, the city of San Juan was exposed to pirate attacks by Europeans for many years. To protect them, two large castles, which can still be seen today, were built in the city and walls were built. After the region was under the domination of the Spanish for a long time, in the war between the USA and Spain in 1898, the country came under the domination of the USA. It is still under the domination of the USA. Being a port city, its economic situation is good. Cruise ships dock at the port throughout the year. In addition, tobacco, sugar, and fruit are exported. The climate in San Juan is tropical. The annual average temperature is 27 degrees. However, it is sometimes seen that this temperature exceeds 32 degrees, especially in summer. In winter, temperatures drop to 16 degrees Celsius. Spring is the best time to go to San Juan, as summers are mostly rainy in the city. Where Is San Juan? San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico in Central America, is located on the oceanfront in the northern part of the country facing the Atlantic Ocean. It is northeast of the Caribbean Gulf. There are plenty of places to stay in San Juan. The best ones are SOKZO Miramar, Comfy 2BR in Condado. Short Walk to the Beach., ESJ Tower 1672. You can try Verde By The Beach Guest House, Walking Distance to Food Truck Park, Restaurant Viby Nightlife - Studio, San Juan Home, Home San Juan. Also, Booking.com's San Juan searches occasionally find good discount deals on hotels. When to go to San Juan The climate in San Juan is tropical. The annual average temperature is 27 degrees. Spring is the best time to travel to San Juan, as summers are mostly rainy in the city. Where to Stay in San Juan, Puerto Rico In the city of San Juan, tourists mostly stay in the Condada or Isla Verde Areas. Those who want to be intertwined with history should prefer the Old San Juan District. While the majority of the hotels have modern designs, some of them serve in buildings with colonial architecture. Places to Visit in San Juan San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico, has many places to visit in terms of both architectural and cultural assets and natural assets. Best places to visit in San Juan: Plaza Armas, Fortaleza, San Juan National Historic Site, San Juan Bautista Cathedral, Puerto Rico Art Museum, Cortado Beach, Isla Verde, San Jose Church, Casa Blanca, Fortin de San Geronimo, Isla de Cabras, Jose Miguel Agrilot Coliseum Old San Juan The Old San Juan is the second-oldest city in the Caribbean, after the capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo. There are around 400 colonial buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries in the region, which has a history of approximately 500 years. Today, all of these have been restored and integrated into San Juan's daily life. All the buildings are in different colors, and most of them are two-storied. The wooden and iron works in the buildings immediately draw attention. Some of them have balconies decorated with flowers. Although the streets are narrow, they do not spoil the aesthetics of the buildings because they are all in the style of cobblestone.
In terms of traffic, each street works in one direction. Due to the parking problem, vehicles occupied one sidewalk of the streets. However, on some special days the streets are closed to traffic. Historic San Juan consists of seven square blocks. You do not need to rent a car to tour the area. It's easy to get around on foot, there's also a free tram running in the area. But the best way to travel is to walk. A part of this area, where you will enjoy every street of it when you walk, is surrounded by a thick and high wall that starts from the walking area on the beach called Paseo dela Princesa, close to the port. For this reason, it was called the "Walled City" for a while. On the sea-facing part of the wall, a large stone-clad door was created. This gate, which was started to be built in the 1700s, is called the "City Gate". Paseo dela Princesa, on the beach; a promenade full of trees, benches, statues, streetlamps. It is a sparkling promenade where families and their children have fun under the lights, especially in the evenings. El Yunque National Forest To see one of the most magnificent rainforests in the world, you have to go outside of San Juan and go to the Rio Grande region in an hour's drive by car. Pay attention to the speed limit on the roads when going to the El Yunque National Forest, there are high fines. El Yunque National Forest is a very beautiful sightseeing spot with its lush nature. Do not forget to go to Yokahu Tower in the forest and visit the waterfalls. You can also observe the animals of this magnificent nature on site. The endemic fauna of this place includes parrots, blackbirds and mongooses. It is known that about 240 species of trees and plants live in these forests. The peculiarity of this forest, called El Yunque (El Yunki), is that it is also very humid; That's why the trees are wet when you touch them. At the same time, these forests are a paradise for colorful parrots and tiny Coque frogs. Coque frogs are already considered sacred on the island. The trinkets of the little heroes believed to bring good luck can be found on the counters of almost every souvenir shop. Another feature of El Yunque is that it is the only rainforest in the Caribbean Region. A kind of natural beauty that you cannot see in the rest of the Caribbean awaits you in San Juan. Plaza Colón When you go down from San Cristobal Castle in the Old City, Plaza Colón will appear in the wide area between San Francisco and Fortaleza Street. A large bronze statue of Christopher Columbus surrounded by fountains is placed in the middle of the square. The statue was erected to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Columbus' discovery of the city. Tapia Theater is located on the south side of Plaza Colón and on Fortaleza Street. The horseshoe-shaped theater was built in 1824. The hall inside can seat 700 people. It hosts ballet, concerts, theater and other activities. It is named after Puerto Rican playwright and pioneer of modern art, Alejandro Tapid y Rivera. On the corner where Fortaleza Street turns into Capilla Alley Street, there is Casa del Libro, the Casa del Callejon Building, which has been converted into the 19th century Puerto Ricon Familia y Farmacia Museum. Historic San Juan has many squares. La Barrandilla Square, one of the squares frequently encountered in various parts of this historic district, is on San Francisco Street. Around the square, Carlos Albizu University, next to it Salvador Brau Square, and the Brau and Toribio Monuments rise in the square. Heading west from San Francisco Street and at the intersection with Cruz Street, you will encounter Armas Square. Armas Square is the main square of historic San Juan. City Hall is also here. The building was built in 1602, similar to the one in Madrid. The imposing building between San Jose and Cristo Street, the back street of the square, is the San Juan Cathedral. The cathedral is the second oldest cathedral in this region after the one in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic).
The cathedral was first built in 1521, and after it was destroyed, it was rebuilt in 1549... In the following years, it suffered many hurricanes, fires and arson, and took its present form in 1917. The most magnificent weddings of the city were held here. Inside is the marble tomb of Ponce de Leon. Castillo San Cristobal and Castillo San Felipe del Morro Castillo San Cristobal and Castillo San Felipe del Morro, located in the old San Juan area, are huge structures that must be seen. We can say that it is big enough to take at least half a day. Castillo San Felipe del Morro, one of these castles, which is accepted as a world historical heritage and protected by UNESCO, was built in 1539 after San Jua was founded by the Spanish in 1521. The construction of Castillo San Cristobal was completed in 1783. Although both castles were attacked by many ships in their history, they were built strong enough to stand for centuries. The view is breathtaking from the watchtowers of Castillo San Cristobal. Breathe deeply into the infinity of the ocean, its idyllic beaches, Old San Juan, and the new San Juan with its modern buildings in the towers. The streets of San Juan are made up of colorfully painted old-style houses and Spanish-inspired buildings. It is noteworthy that there are colorful flowers on the balconies of the houses that are connected to each other. Especially in the Old San Juan area, since the number of cars is very few, the surroundings are very calm and the life of pedestrians is very easy. In short, while you've been to see the two forts, be sure to wander the colonial streets of Old San Juan. Hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops, shops etc. are all in this vicinity. In this touristic center where the old buildings of the old city are preserved in San Juan; there are really nice restaurants and bars; just be aware that this area is a bit crowded on saturday evenings. Transportation Within San Juan Buses are the most used public transport in San Juan. Maps where you can find bus routes can be obtained from hotels or tourist offices. But keep in mind that you will encounter a lot of heavy traffic in the city. It will be useful to calculate the time you will allocate to the places you will go accordingly. Buses run from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays. On weekends, the start time is 5.30. There are three bus numbers which are useful for tourists. 5: From Old San Juan to Santurce, Ocean Park and Isla Verde. 21: Reaches Ashford Avenue from downtown Condado, downtown San Juan, Hato Rey and Plaza Las Americas Mall. Number 52 goes from the Convention Center area to the ocean shore. The Old San Juan District is very convenient for walking. However, when you are tired, you have the chance to take the trams that provide free service. There are also minibuses called “publicos” in the city, but they are very crowded. Taxis do not have a fixed price system. While taximeters are used in some regions, passengers are taken at fixed prices in some regions. San Juan Cuisine Puerto Rican cuisine is a combination of the culinary habits of the indigenous Taino people, the Spaniards who ruled the country for a long time, and the African region. The most important feature of the cuisine, which was also influenced by the American cuisine, which took over the administration of the country, is the use of cereals and legumes, herbs and spices, vegetables, all kinds of meat and fruits. Among the main courses, the most popular are “mofongo”, “arroz con gandules”, “pasteles” and roast pork. The most popular fish dish is mojo isleno. The most famous desserts are rice pudding, “piraguas”, “brazo gitanos”, “tembleque”, “polvorones” and “dulce de leche”. Tropical plant roots, such as "taro" and especially "Yuca", which come from the food culture of the indigenous Taino people, have an important place in the cuisine. The bread called Casabe is made from Yuca. Many ingredients, such as pineapple, peanuts, pumpkin, extremely hot ajicito or cachucha peppers, are Taino influences.
Popular restaurants: Al Dente, Café Puerto Rico, Luigi's Restaurant, Ostra Cosa, Pamela's Caribbean Cuisine, Ramiro's, Tierra del Fuego. Tip: Tips are often included in Puerto Rican restaurants. If not, it would be appropriate to leave a tip between 18-22 percent of the account. Shopping in San Juan San Juan, a port city, has many shopping districts and shops. There are rows of shops in and around Friday Harbor, which is frequented by cruise ships. And as you can imagine, they sell local products that will attract tourists. These include clothing, jewelry, masks or specially patterned boxes. The place where the heart of the city beats in terms of shopping is the area stretching from Spring Street to Argryle Street. Apart from these regions, there are shopping centers and shops around Condado and Isla Verde, which are frequently preferred by tourists visiting the city. In the Old San Juan District, it is possible to find shops selling touristic and special objects on many streets here, as more tourists visit and shop. Celebrate body positivity with a trip to Puerto Rico!
Tumblr media
The Social Media Algorithm tries to tell us the ideal gay man is chiseled, veiny, white-skinned, smooth-bodied, and spends twenty hours a week in the gym.
For anyone who doesn’t fit in this tiny Adonis-shaped box, be they chubby bears or fuzzy twinks, it’s hard to love and celebrate the body we’re born into. Zach Panzeca built his body-positive photography business, THE MALE COLLECTION, to help everyone see they are beautiful, sexy, and all-around awesome regardless of their body shape.
Now, Panzeca is launching The Unapologetic Body Society, the first-of-its-kind body-positive retreat for men, which takes place May 21–28, 2022 — and all of us are invited, no matter what we look like! Join Panzeca in Puerto Rico for an amazing, uplifting, and seriously fun experience!
Tumblr media
“My job as a photographer is to help you feel empowered and strong,” says Panzeca. “Most body-positive media is focused on women, but men struggle just as much and it’s harder to talk about. It’s time to change that.”
With this event, Panzeca is creating a space where men can put aside their insecurities and celebrate life in their own skin. “A day at the beach can be nerve wracking for bigger guys, but by going as a group, we build confidence and enjoy ourselves without worrying what anyone else might say. I dare anyone to try to mock a group of sassy gay bears,” says Panzeca.
Tumblr media
And in that life-affirming context, the event has a bunch of inclusions that make it a huge bang for the buck. Plus, interest-free payment plans are available to help with your budget. Included in the event:
Seven-night stay at a swanky beachfront hotel
Private photoshoot with Zach, plus beautiful candids from the whole trip
Kayaking in a glowing, bioluminescent bay, one of only five in the world
A boat and beach day at the beautiful Flamenco Beach
Swimming in waterfall-fed pools of the El Yunque National Rainforest
New friends made through meaningful and open-hearted conversations
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Puerto Rico is the perfect place for the Unapologetic Body Society’s first retreat. The weather is always 70°–80°, the nightlife is vibrant and exciting, the food is divine, and it’s exceptionally welcoming as the LGBTQ+ Capital of the Caribbean—there’s even a bear bar in San Juan!
No passport is required when traveling from the mainland United States. And with the high vaccination rate in Puerto Rico, this could be the perfect getaway to break out of the winter and pandemic doldrums!

Several Puerto Rico Golf Courses and Resorts Reopen Others to Follow Imminently as Island Golf Destination Stakeholders Implement Safeguards - Many of Puerto Rico’s 18 golf courses have reopened, as recently announced by Gov. Wanda Vázquez.
“It’s the right time . . . We have flattened the curve,” said Gov. Vázquez.
Caution, patience, and discipline have been staples of the Island’s proactive edicts designed to protect Puerto Rico residents and visitors. That will continue when many businesses gradually reopen across the Island. A 7 pm to 5 am curfew will remain in place until June 15, and all people will be required to wear a mask when outside or inside a business.
Puerto Rico, an American territory, will join the rest of the United States as pertains to the game; golf courses have reopened in all 50 states.
“This is encouraging news, and people wishing to visit the Island can soon embrace all that is waiting for them when the time is right to travel,” said Leah Chandler, CMO, Discover Puerto Rico, the Island’s Destination Marketing Organization.
Some Island courses are open to everyone, including Royal Isabela, Club Deportivo del Oeste, and more. Other Island courses are open to members only currently – TPC Dorado Beach, Palmas Athletic Club, and Wyndham Grand Rio Mar, for example – with the public expected to be welcomed back imminently. For instance, Rio Mar will allow public play beginning on June 2. For details pertaining to each golf venue, call them at the phone numbers listed at bottom.
Royal Isabela’s re-opening protocol is indicative of how Island golf courses are operating. The boutique resort perched atop 200-foot cliffs on Puerto Rico’s northwest coast, reopened its Links Golf Course for public play. It has installed an array of safeguards to enhance safe recreation, including staff using personal protective gear, sanitizing and cleaning golf carts and the Pro Shop common areas throughout the day, and more. Other Royal Isabela mandates include requiring that tee times be booked at least 48 hours in advance with all due information; no use of the driving range, practice greens, or club rentals; one player allowed per golf cart; no post round gathering or socializing; and more.
Puerto Rico’s 18 golf courses are located throughout the Island – from the northwestern tip to the East Coast – with several in northeastern Puerto Rico near capital San Juan. Accentuating tropical splendor and remarkable ocean views, Island golf resorts are renowned for their first-class service and inspirational settings.
Puerto Rico is an enchanting destination where history, culture, gastronomy, nightlife, beaches, hotels and resorts abound. It requires no passport for American citizens, is bilingual, uses the U.S. dollar for currency, and is the air hub of the Caribbean. There are more than 4,000 restaurants, and the lodging venues range from top hospitality brands to being named a top 10 Airbnb world destination.
The Island’s golf venues include:
TPC Dorado Beach (36 holes) – 787-626-1020 Costa Caribe (27) – 787-812-2650 Fort Buchanan (9) – 787-707-3980 Wyndham Grand Rio Mar (36) – 787-888-6000 Rio Bayamon (18) – 787-740-1419 Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve/Coco Beach (36) – 787-657-2000 The St. Regis Bahia Beach (18) – 787-809-8000 Caguas Real (18) – 787-653-1573 Royal Isabela (18) – 787-609-5888 Deportivo del Oeste (18) – 787-851-8880 Palmas Athletic Club (36) – 787-656-3000 Punta Borinquen (18) – 787-890-2987 El Legado (18) – 787-866-8894

The Most Affordable Times to travel to the World's Best Cities
Marveling at the Eiffel Tower in the dark . Cruising a car up Rio's otherworldly Sugarloaf Mountain. Tucking into the freshest and tastiest sashimi altogether of Tokyo. Believe it or not, such once-in-a-lifetime experiences needn't accompany once-in-a-lifetime price tags. After all, it's one among the elemental rules of savvy tourism: Whether you're dashing off to California or Thailand—South Africa or the Caribbean—when it involves traveling on a budget, timing is everything.
So if you're dying to go to a number of the world's best, priciest, and most unforgettable cities—but have always balked at the prices—read on, because here we've laid out the foremost budget-friendly times of the year to travel .
1-Paris, France
Tumblr media
When to Go: November through February
Ah, Paris, the town of riches, what with its abundance of Michelin-starred bistros and stylish pieds-à-terre. But if you are looking to engorge yourself on Bordeaux and frites and tour the town within the warmer months, prepare to spend tons extra money. It's simply a fact: summer in Paris, when tourism is at its peak, is that the costliest time to go to.
If you'll postpone your vacation until winter, you'll save big, consistent with U.S. News & World Report. November through February are the foremost affordable months to go to. Roundtrip airfare from NY to Paris in February can even drop below $300. And, once you're there, entrance fees at many of the foremost popular museums and attractions are known to travel down. However, one caveat: make certain to avoid traveling during the last week of Paris Fashion Week (February 24 to March 3), when hotel rooms are going to be virtually impossible to seek out.
2-Cape Town, South Africa
Tumblr media
When to Go: June through August
African safaris could seem unrealistic for budget travelers, but you'll experience jaw-dropping wildlife without forking out plenty of money on a luxury bush camp. Just outside the gorgeous coastal city of Cape Town, you will find several "self-drive" parks, including the De Hoop Nature Reserve, that is easy, accessible, and affordable.
U.S. News & World Report notes that Cape Town's winter (June to August) is when tourism is slowest and thus the foremost cost-friendly time to go to, especially if you are a foodie and you would like to experience the city's amazing restaurants when they're offering affordable specials. Pro tip: confirm to avoid the last fortnight of July, when the must-visit landmark Table Mountain closes to visitors.
3-San Juan, Puerto Rico
Tumblr media
When to Go: July and August
Looking for a Caribbean getaway? Look no further than Puerto Rico!
If you are not scared of higher temperatures and therefore the occasional afternoon shower, know that the most cost-effective time to fly to San Juan is during July and August. Yes, it's when Puerto Rico is at its hottest and most humid, but it is also the foremost cost-effective time to travel. Expect sunny skies and cheap hotel suites for under $100 an evening in San Juan. If you are looking for an oceanfront room, you'll spend about $150.
4-London, England
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
When to Go: May through October
With crystalline lagoons, lush rainforests, and mountainous rock formations jutting out of the Andaman Sea, Phuket has everything you would like in an exotic Asian escape. Plus, Thailand is one among the foremost wallet-friendly countries to visit—we're talking private beachfront villas that cost $50 a night!

However, consistent with budget travel site Skyscanner, airfares can dip about 23 percent in January. January may be a great month to go to because the weather is cool and cozy and there are generally fewer tourists around, so you'll freely explore the town.
7-Santorini, Greece
Tumblr media
When to Go: January
Like many of the opposite Cyclades Islands, Santorini may be a seasonal destination, which makes it difficult to go to during its off-season. However, tourism in December, January, and February have increased within a previous couple of years and more hotels and restaurants are staying open year-round to accommodate the influx of travelers. consistent with The Points Guy, hotels in Santorini are 51 percent cheaper in January than they're in August. If you are looking to ascertain Santorini for a steal, book a visit outside of their peak season, which runs from June to September.

October (the middle of the city's spring season) is that the quietest month for tourism. There also isn't an excessive amount of rain during that point of the year, and though it'll be cooler, you'll still enjoy outdoor activities like climbing up Sugarloaf Mountain. confine mind that Rio's winter (June through August) is not an off-season, because many American and European tourists tend to require vacations during their summer season.
9-Tokyo, Japan
Tumblr media
When to Go: Mid-January through late March
According to USA Today, here are some peak holidays in Japan that you simply should avoid if you're trying to save lots of money: New Year's Day (late December to early January), Golden Week (late April to early May), and therefore the Obon festival (mid-August). the most cost-effective time to travel there's within the winter—after the autumn foliage crowds have left—between mid-January and late March.
10-Sydney, Australia
Tumblr media
When to Go: June through August
Australia's capital is at its lowest during winter, which occurs between June and August. If you do not want to travel during the winter, you'll also go for "shoulder season," which is mid-February to late May, and September to November, when the weather is more temperate but hotel and flight rates are still reasonable. confine mind that, even during the low season, prices hike up a touch during the varsity holidays in mid-July.When to Go: June through AugustAustralia's capital is at its lowest during winter, which occurs between June and August.
