people are always like 'assassin's quest is the worst book in the first trilogy, it's meandering and too long and has no plot etc etc' and i'm flabbergasted because isn't following fitz around as he learns more about his ability incredibly interesting and exciting?? ALSO. why don't you read the second half of it again and let fitz and the fool and nighteyes fill your heart with so much love and affection you feel you might die. and then maybe you'll calm down

#literally fitz and the fool sharing a sleeping bed. and nighteyes sleeping next to them to try and keep them warm...#nighteyes thinks 'my ears itch' and the fool goes to scratch them... i will die #AND THE ENTIRE CABIN PART where fitz sees the fool for the first time in so so long and he's hurt and the fool takes care of him...#GODDD i miss them #rote
