Its going to be the protagonist of a story involving one of my oldest oc’s Chrys with an overarching theme that you don’t have to make a big impact on the world to touch a lot of lives.  Jax, when the story starts, is just coming out of a six week coma with new found abilities (though these abilities are not entirely unheard of in this world). It will follow his story of recovery and working through his past traumas, whilst struggling to handle his new place in the world with his abilities. He will meet others like him (mainly Chrys, but a few others I haven’t decided on at the time) as well as the spirits responsible for the abilities themselves.

The Invisible Toaster - Super Short Part 1.

The small town of Niftberg came to international fame last year when its very own Professor Clingy perfected a formula capable of turning anything it contacted invisible. That fame quickly turned to infamy when Professor Clingy was unable to present the formula because, unfortunately, the flask containing it became invisible and was lost. The ordeal produced copious backlash from the entire world, and was too much for Clingy to bear. He disappeared a few weeks later, never to be seen or heard from again.

The Nifters decided it was best to forget it ever happened. It was decided unanimously by the town’s leaders that all talk of Professor Clingy or his invisibility potion be indefinitely banned, but not every Nifter agreed with the decision. There was one who still greatly admired the professor, and sought to redeem him: little Nancy P. Beets of Niftberg Junior High School. Nancy first heard of Professor Clingy when she was five while accompanying her mother to one of his lectures at the university. She was told her name was Jake then before she decided it was Nancy just eight months later.   

Being a single mother was never easy for Julia E. Beets, but that week was particularly difficult. Between coming up short on the water bill, an attempted break-in, her cat Tesla using her homework as kitty litter, and the babysitter cancelling at the last minute it was as if Edward Murphy himself sought to destroy her. Still, she persisted. A call to Professor Clingy secured her child a backstage pass into his lecture. It was over the phone that Nancy first heard his name, and though they’d be without water for a few days it hardly mattered in comparison to the impact of meeting the professor that first time. A bath at Grandpa’s was a small price to pay.
