Sweet Surrender heals Nero because Kyrie supports, reassures him, and hells him stay healthy and stable. Tomboy upgrades his weapons because Nico uses her expertise to make him more effective in combat).

I'm imagining Nico trying to play wingwoman and breach the sexual tension between Nero and Kyrie, who are together but haven't had sex for reasons related to the religion they were raised with and their own feelings of inadequacy, but all she succeeds in doing is making them both really horny for her.

Now these really repressed people who are in a committed relationship are fantasizing about fucking their pet mechanic's brains out, so they still aren't fucking, but they also feel really guilty and ashamed.
