So this, this snuck up on me a lot faster than I had anticipated. 500 of you? Following me? Crazy. It seems I have blinked and it happened so I'm going to be doing something a little different for the celebration this time - because I swear I just posted the last of my 300 follower appreciation.

Inspired by @senditcolton 's Hozier prompt list (she did such an amazing job with it and her blurbs so go check them out), I have made a prompt list of my favorite songs from a variety of artists. There are 10 songs, which means only 10 blurbs (which will probably be more along the lines of tiny fics compared to the blurbs I did for the 300-follower celebration). blood and oil by wilderhockey: exquisite concept (cyborgs! dystopia!) and also just as exquisite dynamic and banter between jack and nico. one of my favorite nico characterizations

lionheart by aliquis: prince nico/bodyguard jonas is actually the most apt depiction of them ever. I am, in fact, fully obsessed with this. 100000/10

never bet the devil your head by philtatoi: as a noted lover of all of philtatoi's work, i do really love their devils fics most of all. this one has pining AND supernatural elements-truly has it all

kiss me on the mouth (and set me free) by coastalhighway: the vibes of this jack/nico fic are absolutely incredible, and it has some of my favorite world building. spectacular!!!

take the wheel by greenteam: if u see me reccing a second greenteam fic pls mind ur business!! this jacknico street racer au is, in fact, perfection! if i could lovingly kiss this fic on the forehead i would!

Dead reckoning- my favorite characterization of nolan patrick like wow it's crazy. the dialogue is weird because they're in their twenties and they play hockey and it's very much "the homophobic sphere of the NHL and is he really your bro?" one of my favorite lines from fic ever came from this. the gay chicken tag? very relevant and also horrifically understated. they take it to the 1000%. archive locked. tknp. explicit.

unchained melody- lesbians. 1950's au. do i need to say more? this fic is so good it drives me crazy. not spoiling it but it fucking hurts like slow-fucking-burn baby. archive locked. tknp. explicit.

i'll try to come back home- it's soulmates in hockey rpf so you know it's gonna go fucking crazy. soulmates popping in and out of each other's worlds + they're from different countries + they meet up when they get scouted as top prospects for the same draft. it's awesome and epic and very sweet. 1319. teen.

Door to Door- picture this: your upstairs neighbor is being loud as shit with his dogs again and you decide to confront him. he's the hottest guy you've ever seen. you guys become friends. you both have no idea you're super fucking into each other. bonus points for bar scenes and getting told that you're being an idiot about the dude you want to date. archive locked. bennguin. explicit.

anything written by honeydripping. everything by this author is gold but especially On The Banks of Kettle Creek. it's genuinely stunning and it makes me really emotional when i think about it, honestly.

These Eyebrows Ain’t for Show by katwalkingNico’s not trying to make it weird, but Nolan smells delicious and everyone keeps throwing them together. Being a hockey playing werewolf can be a struggle at times.

this was a random one i found a long time ago that i’ve reread so many times it’s carter hutton/jacob markstrom and i know literally nothing about them but they hook up one night and neither of them know they’re pro hockey players and it’s just a comedy of errors. so good

this a mcstrome one (connor mcdavid/dylan strome) and i don’t ship them that much but i love college roommate au’s and this one is a banger (this is the sequel too)

this one is sidgeno royalty/fantasy au and the author said it’s a game of thrones au but i’ve never watched it so i don’t actually know how accurate to game of thrones it is. but it’s so good if you like royalty stuff

this one is marnthews which is my favorite ship. they’re both teachers here. there’s also mcstrome in this one!! they do play beer league hockey though so there’s some, but it’s still an au

another good one is nico hischier/nolan patrick they’re a way less antagonistic jack and connor and i love them. this one is a bit of an au where the fae exist and are part of nico’s culture it’s just v neat!!

last is connor mcdavid/jack eichel and a lot of this pairing is enemies to lovers. this one less so compared to others but it’s connor focused and it’s like a series of different times he comes out
