Mina Braun’s solo Show “Time to Wonder” was  first exhibition programmed after my taking on the role of Gallery Manager at The Red Door Gallery.  This exhibition was curated by Rachel Caunt before she left in 2011.  It was a wonderful exhibition.

The List Magazine cover photoshoot from April 2011, back when they were a well loved printed publication.  This special feature issue was devoted to works made in Scotland.  I gave contributions to this display from The Red Door Gallery and Elsie Dodds.  Loved the final design!

In response to the “Halfway Home” exhibition I curated for The Red Door Gallery back in 2010, the tallented Finch and Foreacre team decided to launch their own customised tenement design.  This tartan treasure was limited edition, but you can see their full range here.

Louise Smurthwaite's work is all about walking and she walks to make work.  Her works feature bright colours, strong lines and bold shapes. The exhibition included some of her photography, drawings, silk screen prints and etchings in her first solo exhibition since graduating from Edinburgh College of art 2 years ago.

Jeff Josaphine's Sophie Elm enjoyed taking part in the Customised Tenement Exhibition so much that she has transfered her design for the Finch and Fouracre DIY Tenement Kit into a charming £22 poster... how could you not fall in love with this wee hoose?   All we need now is an architect to build a life sized version... or maybe just a willing tenement to have a face lift.... any volunteers?  In the mean time, this poster can be a reminder of how jolly our streets might look one day, if artists were let loose on them...
The Customised Tenement Exhibition was the first exhibition I curated for The Red Door Gallery, when I was working as a part time Gallery Assistant in 2010.

2010 christmas exhibition of animal based works.  It was a riot through the animal kingdom!  Artists and designers at varying stages of their career from the established and successful painter's hand of Ruth Addinall to the future bright lights of Edinburgh College of art, student textile designer William Watson-West. Exhibiting with us for the first time is recent graduate Lindsey Brown whose distinctive endangered animal repeat pattern is the flier image of Merry Menagerie. Along with the established talents of Eleni Kalorkoti, Libby Walker, Nekocherry and Kevin Sim.
