um......is it even gallavich if it's unrequited love. um. anyway shoutout to that one fic i read years ago that put a new spin on hanahaki aus. tagging @galladrabbles for @shippergirl121fic's prompt, promise

Ian puts his hand on top of Mickey's. He rolls his eyes.

"C'mon, man. You're making this a bigger deal than it is. Once I get the surgery, this... thing between us will go back to normal."

That's the problem. This surgery will remove the vines invading Mickey's heart, at the cost of his memories involving Ian being removed as well.

Of them being fuckbuddies. Nothing more, nothing less, until Mickey catched feelings and Ian has felt guilt for not feeling the same ever since.

The nurse calls Mickey into the room.

Mickey smiles. "Promise you'll wait for me?"

"Yeah."
