DIVISIONAL ROUND - Game 2 - Commanders @ Lions
well well well This has got to be the biggest upset of the playoffs so far. The Lions were favored by as much as 10-points and even Commanders' fans were doubtful their team could win. The Lions just had no answer for Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels who led a high-powered offense in the win, going 22/31 for 299 yards and 2 TDs. The Commanders will face the winner of tomorrow's Eagles/Rams matchup for the NFC Conference title.

Behind The OC Name
Thank you @kaitaiga @alypink @welldonekhushi @revnah1406 for the tag! Let's do this!
OKAY. I'm gonna turn into a bachelor of yappology here so bear with me ☝️🤓
🌹 Charlotte 'Jade' Le Jardin 🌹
Initially, I wanted to name her 'Roxanne'. Some of you might know this, but Jade used to be my original story's main character called Louisa. BUT, Louisa's initial name was Roxanne. I didn't know why, but elementary school me liked Roxanne so much (I didn't even know that it's also a song title by The Police back then HAHAH). I wanted a very recognizable name, but I think it was a bit much, so I switched to Charlotte because of Charlotte Bronte, the writer. Also, it turns out that 'Charlotte' means 'free man', it's pretty cool since Jade's story is mainly about breaking free from MI6's influence and shackles along with her parents. Meanwhile, Le Jardin was the result of Jade's family's occupation as a florist. I mean, it's a fake last name anyway as they were making an entirely new identity after escaping from MI6.
Jade was literally just because she had a green eyes, but I felt it's too cliche so I made an entirely new black division of MI6 where each agent is named of a type of ore/jewel. Plus, Jade is just easy to pronounce and recognizable, perfect for communication purpose!
🐞 Eleanor 'Ladybug' Graham 🐞
Eleanor's name came up just out of the blue from my mind. I drew Lady's design first, and then decided to make a name for her, and it's either Eleanor or Claudia, and I thought Claudia doesn't suit her at all, so I stayed with Eleanor. Eleanor means 'Light-hearted' or 'shining light', kind of goes along with her 'take-it-easy' attitude and how she's a medic and becomes the light of hope for the wounded. The surname Graham is literally just my obsession with Will Graham from Hannibal. My 14-16 year old ahh was obsessed with NBC Hannibal, and Will held a special place in my heart LOL.
When I created Ladybug, I knew I wanted a special and a cheeky callsign for her to pair with Gaz. I never really liked bugs, but I thought back then that a ladybug's shape and pattern is so damn cute and endearingly silly. So I just went with Ladybug. AND THEN, The NFC Championship 2023 game happened between 49ers vs Lions. Brandon Aiyuk caught a pass from Brock Purdy after the ball straight up bounced from Kindle Vildor's helmet, which resulted in a touchdown in the next play. At the interview post game, Aiyuk said "a ladybug landed on my shoe." JUST THEN I KNEW THAT LADYBUG MEANS 'GOOD LUCK'. And then the gears on my brain turned, and I can connect with how Gaz is always unfortunately hanging/falling from an aircraft, be it an airplane or a helicopter. The fact that he's always came out ALIVE after those events just tell me, there's gotta be a ladybug that's always with him 24/7!
🔥 Barandos 'Bara' Tarigan 🔥
For Bara, I just KNOW that his name's gotta be Bara because there's a celebrity chef from Indonesia called Bara Patirajawane, and it's such a sick name that I just had to make it into a name of my OC HAHAH. Bara also means 'fire embers' and it's pretty cool ngl. Tarigan is a Batak tribe surname (I'm half Batak from my name), so I just wanna have that element on my OC.
⏳ Silja Freyrsdottir ⏳
For Silja, I actually had quite a hardtime to name my OC. I didn't know what her appeareance yet, her story yet, and like what her role was in the God of War Ragnarok storyline. So I started to think of what goddess she was, and I wanted it to be close to Heimdall, so the Goddess of Memory and Remembrance it was. I then searched for that kind of god in the Norse mythology, and I didn't really find anyone that came close to what I imagined, so I just started from sratch. I sketched her character, and as I draw her I make up a story in my mind. Oh, she's an adventurer, a rogue princess, hmmm from what realm, Alfheim? Let's do that cuz I love Freyr. I wanted her name to be either 'Silja' which ironically means 'blind', or Ragnhild, which means 'battlecounsel'. QUICKLY I feel that Ragnhild sounded to professional for her adventurous character. Silja sounded so right, and her name could be like a contradiction to what her ability is, which is seeing people's pasts, but blind to the present (a flaw much like Heimdall's).
Tagging YOU 🫵 Reblog this with your OC's name lore!

Bears-Vikings; Falcons-Raiders on 'Monday Night Football': What We Learned from Minnesota's 30-12 Win
The Minnesota Vikings capped off an impressive performance on Monday Night Football with a commanding 30-12 victory over the Chicago Bears. In a game that highlighted the Vikings’ playoff aspirations and the Bears’ ongoing struggles, key takeaways emerged from both teams’ performances.
Vikings’ Offense Clicks Behind Efficient Play
Minnesota’s offense looked sharp from the opening drive. Quarterback Kirk Cousins delivered a precise and controlled performance, throwing for over 280 yards and two touchdowns. His chemistry with Justin Jefferson, who hauled in eight catches for 112 yards and a touchdown, was evident throughout the game. The return of Jefferson after missing time due to injury gave the Vikings a much-needed spark.
The ground game also complemented the aerial attack. Running back Alexander Mattison rushed for 85 yards and a score, helping the Vikings control the tempo. Minnesota’s offensive line provided solid protection, giving Cousins time to dissect the Bears’ defense.
Bears’ Offense Stumbles Again
Chicago’s offensive woes continued as quarterback Justin Fields struggled against a relentless Vikings defense. Fields completed 15 of 30 passes for 185 yards, with no touchdowns and an interception. While he showcased his trademark mobility, rushing for 62 yards, the lack of consistency in the passing game and poor offensive line play left the Bears unable to sustain drives.
Wide receiver DJ Moore was a rare bright spot for Chicago, finishing with 79 receiving yards, but the Bears’ inability to finish in the red zone was a glaring issue.
Vikings’ Defense Dominates
Minnesota’s defense was the unsung hero of the night, pressuring Fields relentlessly and forcing two turnovers. Danielle Hunter led the charge with 1.5 sacks, while the secondary locked down Chicago’s receivers. The Vikings’ aggressive blitz packages disrupted the Bears’ rhythm and limited their scoring opportunities to four field goals.
Falcons-Raiders: A Competitive Undercard
Before the Vikings’ dominant showing, the Falcons and Raiders faced off in an entertaining matchup that saw Atlanta edge Las Vegas 24-21. Rookie sensation Bijan Robinson dazzled with 120 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Desmond Ridder managed the game effectively.
For the Raiders, interim quarterback Aidan O’Connell continued to show promise, throwing for 230 yards and two touchdowns. However, a costly fourth-quarter interception sealed their fate. Atlanta’s defense stepped up when it mattered most, helping the Falcons stay in the hunt for the NFC South title.
What’s Next?
With the win, the Vikings improve to 8-6 and solidify their position in the NFC playoff race. They’ll face a tough challenge next week against the Detroit Lions. Meanwhile, the Bears fall to 4-10, with their focus likely shifting to evaluating talent for next season.
The Falcons’ victory keeps them alive in the NFC South race at 7-7, while the Raiders drop to 6-8, further dampening their playoff hopes.
Monday Night Football delivered excitement and clarity in the playoff picture, with the Vikings proving they’re ready to make noise in the postseason.

Josh Allen and Bills beat the 49ers in Snowy conditions, clinching fifth straight AFC East title.
Tumblr media

By BenJarmin Munguia
Date: December 2nd 2024.
It was a winter wonderland for the Buffalo Bills and Bills fans everywhere.
Buffalo Bills once again dominated a football game, this time in lake-effect snowy conditions. The snow was too much for the San Francisco 49ers, who lost 35-10 and stayed in last place in the NFC West.
The 49ers struck first on their opening drive with a 33-yard field goal from Jake Moody, but that was it, as the Bills answered back with running back Ray Davis scored on a 5-yard touchdown, giving the Bills their first lead of the night 7-3.
In the second quarter, the Bills took advantage of Moody's missed field attempt and answered on the next play. James Cook scored on a 65-yard touchdown run, giving the Bills a 14-3 lead. Josh Allen found Mack Hollins in the endzone just before the half, giving Buffalo a 21-3 lead at halftime.
Josh Allen was on the record books for tonight. In the third quarter, he completed a pass to Amari Cooper, who then lateraled back to Allen to score on a 7-yard touchdown reception. He would then run one in the fourth quarter, becoming the third player in 2005 to run, throw, and catch a touchdown pass all in one game.
Tumblr media
Allen also passed Hall of Fame and legendary quarterback Jim Kelly for most touchdowns in franchise history with 245,
Allen completed 13 of 17 passes for 148 yards and two passes touchdowns, carrying the ball 3 times for 18 yards and a touchdown, and finally, catching his pass (from Amari Cooper) for a touchdown.
Jame Cook ran 14 times for 107 yards and a critical 65-yard touchdown.
The 49ers were absolutely brutal tonight. They fumbled their way through the night.  Kyle Juszczyk fumbled at the Bills' one-yard line, which the Bills recovered. Deebo Samuels coughed up the ball while returning a kickoff, and Brock Purdy fumbled early in the fourth quarter.
Tumblr media
Brock Purdy completed 11 of 18 passes for 94 yards, but he was sacked twice for 8 yards. The total passing yards were 86, the lowest since the 2023 NFC Championship game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles when the team finished with 84 passing yards.
Jordan Mason filled the void for McCaffery, rushing for 78 yards on 13 carries,
Christian McCaffrey suffered a knee injury in the second quarter. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, 49ers head coach  Kyle Shanahan said it was a PCL injury that could end his season.
The Bills clinched their fifth straight AFC East title with five weeks left in the season, a feat not accomplished since the 2009 Indianapolis Colts.
The Bills move to 10-2 and look for more wins as they fly across the country to play the Los Angeles Rams, where there will be no snow. Meanwhile, the banged-up 49ers, who dropped to 5-7, look to snap their three-game losing skid as they play the Chicago Bears, who are also on a long losing skid.

2024 NFL Storylines
Now that rosters have trimmed down to 53, for the most part, it's time to finally look ahead to the NFL season which begins Thursday September 5th. We all know that sports brings about drama that keeps us glued to the tv each and every weekend of the season, this NFL season won't be any different. With that in mind, I will give you my storylines to watch this season.
1. Super Bowl or Bust - These are teams that I feel realistically have pressure to get it done this season:
Baltimore Ravens - They have the reigning MVP, a top 5 defense that returns mostly everyone and added Derrick Henry over the offseason. They made the AFC title game last year but came up small, especially offensively, it's safe to ask can they get it done? Lamar has 2 MVPs and 2 playoff wins, enough said.
Kansas City Chiefs - They are going for a three-peat and with that rarified air, as they would be the first to complete the feat. It doesn't hurt that they have the best QB in the league, they also added Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown to a WR core that hasn't even been all that dynamic the past couple of seasons.
San Francisco 49ers - The offseason saga with Trent Williams and Brandon Aiyuk's contract highlights the fact that they have some serious decisions coming up very soon. They have Deebo Samuel and Brock Purdy, who will be looking for new deals next offseason, they also lost in the Super Bowl last season. Could this be a last stand for this group?
Philadelphia Eagles - This team was just in the Super Bowl 2 years ago but took a step back last season. They have locked up their WRs and have taken steps to fix their secondary which was a major problem last season. They replaced both coordinators last season who were held accountable for the slide in performance. Nick Sirianni would technically be the next to go if this season doesn't pan out.
2. Young QBs thrust into the spotlight - Looking around the league, we are seeing that a good number of teams are pinning the direction of their season on the success or failure of unproven QBs.
Caleb Williams (Bears), Jayden Daniels (Commanders) and Bo Nix (Broncos) will be starting from week 1. JJ McCarthy seemingly was on pace to possibly be the starter with the Vikings, before he went down with a season ending knee injury. Drake Maye could very well take over the starting job at some point this season from Jacoby Brissett for the Patriots.
We also have guys in CJ Stroud (Texans), Bryce Young (Panthers), Jordan Love (Packers), Will Levis (Titans), Anthony Richardson (Colts) who are entering the season with varying experience from this past season but are still developing in their second season as starters.
We are looking at 1/3 of the league with young guys at the most important position on the field, how many of them could take their team to the playoffs this season?
3. Who makes the quick turnaround - In 19 of the last 21 years at least one team has gone from finishing last in the division the season before to division champs the following season. With that in mind, who is most likely to pull off the feat this year.
Cincinnati Bengals (AFC North) went 9-8 last year in a season where Burrow missed time and dealt with an injured wrist, if Burrow stays healthy this season they could absolutely pull it off.
Tennessee Titans (AFC South) went 6-11 last season but have done a great job in improving the roster this offseason, if Will Levis continues to improve then they could be the team that challenges the Texans this year for the AFC South crown.
Chicago Bears (NFC North) were a 7-10 team last season after a good finish to the season, they seemingly have their guy in Caleb Williams to run what they believe will be an improved offense. The defense has some pieces as well but not completely sold on coach Eberflus.
The other teams that finished last in their divisions were the New England Patriots (AFC East), LA Chargers (AFC West), Washington Commanders (NFC East), Arizona Cardinals (NFC West) and Carolina Panthers (NFC South).
With every season there are so many storylines that will play out so these are just 3 for you to monitor over the course of the 2024-2025 season. We are just days away from the season starting so strap in and get to the edge of your seat, the fun is about to start.
Make sure to give me a follow and check out my other content on my blog page. You can also follow me over @passionandprecision as well with my friend/co-host @jorissportsstories who you can also follow for her great content as well.

Hollywood heritage...
latimes.com/sports/nfl/la-sp-chiefs-andy-reid-20181113-story.html
Andy Reid draws from California roots, and now brings his masterpiece of a Chiefs offense to face the Rams in L.A.
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid grew up in Los Angeles and has frozen Tommy’s burgers flown to Kansas City. They’re “good for your joints — the grease. Keeps you lubed up, man,” he says.

Reporting from kansas city —
Every so often, the artist comes out in Andy Reid.
It has nothing to do with coaching, instead those times when he puts pen to paper and allows his mind to wander.
“One time when we were talking on the phone, and he was telling me how much he remembered about when we were growing up,” said his brother, Reg, nine years older than Andy. “While we were talking, he sketched a picture of me, then emailed it. It’s just a sketch of my head, but it’s pretty realistic.”
Fans of the Kansas City Chiefs have a deep appreciation for Reid’s creativity. He draws up the offense for one the NFL’s hottest teams; finds new ways to harness the spectacular talent of quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Even now, in his 20th season as an NFL head coach, Reid remains a pigskin Picasso.
That figures. His dad, Walter, did jaw-dropping work as a scenic artist in Hollywood, creating backgrounds and props for film, television and stage production.
“My dad worked on all the Broadway plays that would come to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion,” said Reid, 60, sitting behind his desk at Chiefs headquarters. “They had these huge backdrops they’d lower from the second floor, whether it was ‘Annie Get Your Gun,’ or ‘The Wiz’ back in the day. My dad went down and worked on ‘Hair.’ It was unbelievable. You’d stand up there and look over the edge, and if you took a wrong step, you’d go down like a mile.”
The Chiefs too have reached toe-tingling heights. They’re 9-1 heading into Monday night’s game against the 9-1 Rams at the Coliseum, moved there by the NFL on Tuesday when field conditions in Mexico City became unsatisfactory. On paper, at least, it would have been the most compelling international game the league has staged. Now it will be the Rams’ first Monday night home game at the Coliseum since Nov. 19, 1979, when 54,097 watched a 20-14 victory over Atlanta.
Reid has been in plenty of huge games throughout the course of his career, including coaching Green Bay’s offensive line when the Packers won the Super Bowl in the 1996 season. Reid coached Philadelphia from 1999-2012, led the Eagles to five NFC title games and a Super Bowl, then took over in Kansas City in 2013.
There’s still a lot of Los Angeles in Reid, who grew up on Holly Knoll Drive, just around the corner from John Marshall High, his alma mater, and Walt Disney’s first California home. Reid still eats Tommy’s burgers, and not just when he’s at his offseason home in Capistrano Beach. He has frozen ones delivered by mail.
“I love those things,” he said. “It’s good for your joints — the grease. Keeps you lubed up, man.”
Comically gruff and unrevealing with the media, Reid is beloved by his players, who refer to him as “Big Red,” his hair color at an earlier age.
“He’s actually more funny than you would think,” running back Spencer Ware said. “Most people think of him as just serious. I can kind of relate to him because I always kind of have a serious look on my face and people think that I might be mean mugging. Maybe I’m joking around. So I can kind of relate to Big Red in that area.”
Reid might show his lighter side to his players, but he also gets to the point. They appreciate that.
“The biggest thing is he treats us well, treats us with respect,” tackle Mitchell Schwartz said. “I know he’s got a hard training camp and practices are long and all that. But we don’t have 20-minute meetings every day with rah-rah speeches. It’s just, ‘These are the goals, these are the expectations. Now, it’s on you to go do them.’ So he doesn’t have to be up there every day trying to get us to work hard.”
Reid, a onetime offensive tackle at Glendale College and Brigham Young University, developed his work ethic at an early age. His mother, Elizabeth, was a radiologist, and his father got him occasional work in the entertainment industry. Once, young Andy got a job serving food in the green room of a popular TV talk show, and his rule-following ways clashed with one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
“I’m not sure whether it was the Merv Griffin or the Johnny Carson show,” he said. “But they put me in charge of dishing out the sweet-and-sour meatballs — they were unbelievable — and I was told I could only give three of them out to people.
“You name it, all of Hollywood would come through those shows. I knew all the athletes, so if it was Wilt Chamberlain or one of those guys, they’d get as many meatballs as they wanted.”
But when John Wayne asked for more than three, the kid had to break the bad news.
“I found out later he was a great athlete,” Reid lamented. “Maybe I should have given him a few more meatballs.”
Reid was enormous for his age. There’s a hilarious video clip of him in a Punt, Pass and Kick competition in the early 1970s. He’s a 12-year-old man-child in a Rams uniform, with a line of kids behind him no taller than his beltline.
“The kid behind me was 8,” Reid is quick to note. “I was like 12 or 13.”
Whatever. The YouTube video leaves his players doubled over.
“Damn, that boy was huge,” Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill said. “He’s the size of Justin Houston.”
Well, maybe Reid wasn’t the size of that 6-foot-3, 258-pound Kansas City outside linebacker, but he was big enough that when he was a waterboy at Marshall, some of the varsity players asked him why he didn’t join the team.
“Mike Haynes was between my brother and me,” recalled Reid, referring to the future Hall of Fame defensive back. “He and his buddies were riding me, ‘How come you’re so big and don’t play?’ I said, ‘Listen, I’m in sixth grade.’
“They go, ‘No way!’ It’s like, I’ve been doing this waterboy thing longer than you guys have been around. I’m like the professional waterboy.”
Haynes recalls that, and more.
“I remember that when our kicker would kick the ball through the uprights, our field was so small that the ball would leave the school property and go across the street,” he said. “Andy would go get the ball and bring it back. He’d wear his youth football outfit.”
Nowadays, Reid wears shorts to practice, even when the temperature drops below freezing. He’s spent most of his adult life in cold-weather cities and is hardy like that, an artist whose medium is now Xs and O’s, a Southern Californian in spirit only.

(ENG) Auf Deutsch unten #nfcdab2024 “Leise-Park” 6th Ed. Berlin Near-Field Communication Digital Art Biennale aka #nfcdab #nfcdab is a DIY or DIWO [DO IT WITH OTHER]? Digital art biennale that travels on wireless technologies, light waves and electromagnetic fields e.g.: Wi-Fi routers, QR codes or NFC tags to access content. the idea of the biennale is to take advantage of the potential of near-field (mis)communication[sic!] and other sharing technologies for making web-based digital art accessible in outdoors settings. it slack-keeps presence next to the frameworks of galleries and institutions. Project title: "Leise-Park".
Project description: We invite online artists to participate in our disturbing project entitled "Leise-Park". In this project, we want to explore the issue of silence as an opposition to the anxiety we may feel in the context of the development of various digital trends and Internet technologies. The pervasive availability of mobile devices for spreading content and ideas through all types of Internet-based media, creates a sense of loss of self-control resulting from the pervasive information chaos. Our beloved smartphones are beginning to turn us into a kind of zombie addicted to absorbing information content from the Internet. What consequences does this have for us as well as for further social evolution? Do the emotions that accompany us at this moment allow us to analyze this phenomenon. Can we face this new reality? Can artists help us understand what currently surrounds and shapes us. Can we find distance from the world around us and calm down, or will we become technological zombies? That's why in the “Leise-Park” project we want to ask this question to artists who are willing to take part in our project with their work. Like all our projects this one too is based on the idea of DIY and DIWO. We often think of the park as a place with sculptures, traditionally made of stone, here those sculptures are to be works displayed on the smartphones of the show's viewers. Access to the links via a poster with a QR code pasted on a cardboard presenter cut to resemble a plant plaque. Presenters with the artists' works will be placed at various locations in Leise-Park. The show will run from February 2 - 4, 2024 and is part of the Vorspiel project, which is an initiative of transmediale and CTM Festival to showcase the richness and diversity of Berlin. So we invite you, as part of our project, to a creative exploration of a former Berlin cemetery turned into a publicly accessible Leise-Park.
The events were organized in cooperation by #nfcdab - Dominik Podsiadly, noemata - Bjørn Magnhildøen, BrowserBased - Zsolt Mesterhazy
Place: Leise-Park Heinrich-Roller-Straße 24, 10405 Berlin (DE)

Projekttitel: "Leise-Park"
Bills win, 21-14 against the Dolphins!
Sweeping the Miami Dolphins in the division also earns Buffalo their 4th AFC East title and the overall number 2 seed in the AFC. They face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Gods, what a season. From starting week one 0-1 against the Jets to winning in weeks 2, 3, and 4 to losing so many key defensive players in week 5 to thinking our season was done after the loss to the Broncos and then finally winning against the Chiefs, the Cowboys, the Chargers, the Pats and the Dolphins to earn the spot in the playoffs and retake the division.
Plus, next year, the Chiefs come to Buffalo. Ooh give them a December game, please!
But I can't focus too much on the far future when the postseason's upon us!
Next weekend:
Texans/Browns Saturday afternoon on NBC
Chiefs/Dolphins Saturday Night only on Peacock
Bills/Steelers Sunday afternoon at 1pm EST on CBS
Cowboys/Packers Sunday afternoon at 4:30 EST on Fox
Lions/Rams Sunday night at 8pm on NBC
and finally
Tampa Bay/Eagles Monday night at 8:15 pm on ESPN
San Fransico and Baltimore take the week off as the number one seeds in the NFC and AFC respectively. They'll play the lowest-ranked seed remaining the following week.
The postseason might have only just begun but it's nice seeing this again :D
