7) when asked, are you embarrassed or enthusiastic to tell people that you write? oh it depends on who i’m telling it to. i’m very matter a fact if i’m talking to fandom people but i’m embarrassed sometimes when i tell real life people. there’s a lot of baggage associated with being a writer. i’m currently writing a novel and i am so reluctant to tell people because i’m baby faced and a woman and i am sure i will be dismissed immediately. but that’s ok, they can dismiss me. it’s the readers and the agents and editors that i want to connect with.

10) write in silence or with background noise? with people or alone? i usually work best when i’m drinking a latte and listening to sad music in a coffee shop or a library, so usually with people. but i like to be undisturbed and tucked away in a back corner for optimum writing conditions :)

I was tagged by @la-signora-omicidi (a while back but i was procrastinating im sorry!) to describe myself in pictures I already have on my phone. I actually have so many photos it was hard to describe. But here they are: flowers, city at night, museum, theatre dates, streets of unknown cities, our capital city and sunsets. moody weather, books and libraries, cheesecakes and recipes that give me pleasure while making them but sometimes i end up disliking the result. That’s me and that’s not all of it.

Auston for the character ask meme

OOOHHH so i actually haven’t written auston yet but if i had to guess:

dry but biting sense of humor (like in the christmas carnival video, his chirps on instagram)

he’s not arrogant but he knows exactly how good he is and he uses this as a touchstone whenever he feels insecure (which isn’t often)

he likes to look good. at first it was kind of part of the fact he felt like he had to make people take him seriously (he’s a latino kid from a non traditional hockey market, he didn’t take the regular hockey approach, and now he’s in the largest single hockey market in the world and full of critics) but now he genuinely takes pleasure out of it

to him his family is more important than hockey & he’s a total mama’s boy

his drive is so internal and so untouchable that he can’t even express it. it’s more than being competitive and it’s more than being stubborn or having a chip on his shoulder or single mindedness, it’s just who he is.

he works hard to never lose sight of the fact hockey is fun, not just a job. once hockey stops being fun he’s fucked
