really, really thinking about that moment in the live album when orpheus sings “persephone, in her mother’s garden… the sun on her shoulders, the wind in her hair…”

and the music swells with the melody and the memory, the weight of it, the feeling slamming right into your chest like a gust of wind that carries springtime with it. the memory of love, the feeling of it taking shape again.

some tragic love stories be like: if i could bottle the galaxy, i would pour it into a cup so it would be easier for you to drink. do you want them? do you want the stars? or do they suit you better as adornments for your eyes than glitter on your lips?

but they don’t want the stars. they don’t want the galaxy. but how can they not? is that not enough? (it’s too much, that’s the problem. it’s too much.)

my brain rebels against me by shoving several incongruous fandoms into my face repeatedly with zero breathing room. and then looping them before i can actually draw anything.

“i would die for you” but in a i would sacrifice my next quiet sunrise for you kind of way. in a i would easily trade my next glass of refreshingly crisp cold water for you kind of way. in a i would take the blanket from my shoulders on a humid but cold night and wrap it around you while you sleep instead kind of way. in a i would sacrifice the first moment i spent looking up at the night sky away from light pollution and give it to you instead kind of way.

“i would die for you not because my life has no value, but because to me, yours has so much value that it is worthy of that and more”. that kind of way.

idk if that’s my favorite character dynamic (i am a sucker for angst) but it’s up there. somewhere.

listen guys. i am being so restrained about how much i loved the graphic novel. i am rabid. i am constantly consumed by a level of affection (platonic) that is causing me physical pain. i have literally carried this book with me everywhere for the past two days like a support blanket. my desire to draw is so high that it's almost leveling up to art block. on the contrary i finished an animation i was working on before the gn dropped because the residual brainrot is making me scream. cap'n is Not Okay™️ (affectionate)

wouldn't it be so silly and or goofy if i made us a humanized ship ai oc and called it HAL for no reason in particular. wouldn't that just be so goofy. no bad things could possibly come from this.
