#next time we shall have EVERYONE SURVIVES! safe haven headcanons

okay here they are, Maze Runner head canons!

Do feel free to add on to this post if you want I would love to hear everyone else’s :)

Chuck is everyone’s little brother, like yeah sometimes they annoy him and he annoys them but overall they love Chuck

he is the baby after all, the youngest boy they have and have ever had

(and I don’t think they’re motherly at all because in the end they’re all a bunch of 16-18 year old’s with a 12 year old brother)

I imagine Thomas one day snapping at like Minho, Alby, Newt and Gally being like

“No one cares about Chuck like I do!” after they were poking fun at him and Thomas Is Not Here For It™️

And they all are like “... EXCUSE ME?” chaos ensues

      Chuck’s in the kitchen, enjoying a sandwich besides a pretending-to-be-annoyed Frypan that actually can’t stop smiling at the little boy stuffing his cheeks

Can you tell that I love Chuck with all that I’ve got?

       now one that i just think is neat

Newt’s accent is actually scottish, so it’s very harsh and funny to the rest of the guys

the gladers love making fun of it, making bad imitations of Newt’s accent and ending all sentences with ‘innit’ although Newt doesn’t think he has ever said that

            before the maze Thomas and Gally were good friends, after being stung they both remember the last time they saw each other before Gally was sent to the maze, him suffering from the memory wiping and Thomas on the other side, helping create this

               Thomas hates how much he enjoys standing next to Gally during meetings and stuff

It makes him feel small, Gally’s so much taller and his shoulders are broader and all this time being a builder, and the leader at that, has made him build up muscle

Thomas is rather lean, his legs are getting stronger from all the running, but overall he’s a smaller guy

But Minho or Alby or any of the other guys don’t have that same effect on him

          Thomas and Gally start dating after they get to Safe Haven

Thomas never thought he’d be able to look Gally in the eye after what happened to Chuck, but turns out they have the same nightmares about that, only from different perspectives

And they support each other, Gally doesn’t treat him like he’s going to break and Thomas doesn’t coward at Gally’s always harsh eyes

It takes them a long while, but they make each other happy

And at one point Thomas allows himself to breakdown in front of Gally and Gally’s eyes become softer when he looks at Thomas

   Brenda and Jorge were the only one’s that saw it coming, Brenda had been telling Minho and Fry about it with no luck of getting it through their thick heads

Thomas and Gally would be sitting a little too close during dinner, Brenda would point it out and Minho and Fry would just be happy that they’re getting along

They’d go on walks together and Minho and Fry were just glad they were having breaks from working

When their hands accidentally brushed as they reached for the same thing and they smiled at each other... Minho and Fry didn’t have an excuse for that one but come on Brenda that would just be crazy

Thomas sat down with the three of them one day to tell them that Gally had just kissed him and he seemed so happy that they were speechless

    Minho almost cried the next day when he saw Thomas smiling at Gally as they held hands because he realized then that they could be happy, they were getting better and loss never faded but someday it wouldn’t be as painful anymore

And then he did cry when he was telling Fry about it

        when they first got to safe haven Thomas was very wary of the people he didn’t know, for some long months he would only talk to the gladers, Brenda and Jorge

he’d be a little hostile when someone approached him but with time he started opening up

specially towards the younger kids, he likes being an older brother

at night when he looks at the stars he talks towards them, hoping that maybe Chuck is listening

“you would love playing with the rest of the kids, though i worry that you’d replace me with them” he laughs as he says those things, imagining Chuck’s sarcastic response followed by a hug

   later down the line he has nice dreams about his lost friends, no longer just gorey nightmares

kinda feel like writing actual fics about these headcanons...
