Had an opportunity to post today!

Here’s some ideas I had for a possible Tasmanian Tiger villain for my spin off.

I do have an idea for his backstory and motivations but I’m still working out some kinks.

I have chosen a name for my pirate wolf member of the new Furious Five!

The name I have chosen is Jia - 家 (jiā) meaning "home, family,"

I chose this to reflect what the character values most, as a wolf, a member of a pack and crew and daughter of a pirate captain: family, the good of the group over the individual. When you first meet Jia, she is abraisive, tough and mean. But as she gets closer to the rest of the students in the F5 and learns discipline from her Kung Fu masters, you will find the heart hidden under her hard armor.

She is loyal, and values the safety of her team members above everything. She is hard to befriend, but once done, she is a friend for life.

I do not speak chinese and found the name through this website.

Still in the concept phase of this character, both in terms of design and motivations, etc. But I wanted to put out this coloured drawing to sort of show you where my head is at.

I had this image in my head of this character swallowing things, people or souls, because one of the unique characteristics of Tasmanian Tigers is that they can open their mouths freakishly wide. I think this could make for some really creepy imagery, even if I don't go the supernatural route.

I was thinking of involving shadow puppets in some way to their story, as their career/motif sort of thing. I had also thought of making them a doctor, or a fraudulent cult leader, or even a demon/ghost of some kind, maybe with a little Jekyll and Hyde spice. IDK too many possibilities.

More design experimentation is a must, as we all know, good character design is informed by character (history, personality, environment, career etc.) and as of now he is quite bland lol!

Anyway, feel free to ask questions and whatnot. Maybe talking it over will help me work through some blocks I've been having! XD

Hi guys!!! I’m back!! And boy did I miss having good internet lmao!

I’ve been thinking a lot about my villain character, and there are a bunch of different ways I could go with it… but I’m indecisive (what else is new?) so maybe you can help me pick a direction.

I might just go with my gut depending on whatever whims take hold of me in the future, but in my opinion, a little input from other creative minds never hurt anyone.

Any new villains? Ooooh, that my friend is a wonderful question! I think if we were to treat this as a spin-off series I would definitely want to come up with some! I don't have any ideas as of right now, but I think it would be super fun to do some brainstorming! I'm leaning more towards a spin-off than a rewrite for the fourth movie these days anyhow. And please, if anyone has any ideas they'd like to see for some villains I am all ears because I think we can be more creative as a group!
