Posted @withregram • @christinastapperphotography With such a beautiful day, I couldn’t bring myself to yet another afternoon of cooking/baking photo sessions in my kitchen, so I thought I’d try my hand at wildlife photography... long story short... not for me! I adore animals and love birds, but after an hour of quietly and somewhat patiently waiting for the ‘perfect shot’, I found myself starting to yell at the birds. Today for the #CostumingYearInReview hosted by @wearinghistory and @makethishistoricallook we're talking about something that we have a new appreciation for. I have a #newappreciation for hand sewing. I have always HATED hand sewing, and if I could manage a machine shortcut to avoid it, I would. This year I forced myself to learn and practice new hand sewing techniques. I have noticed a great improvement in my skill and speed. Had to say good-by to my phone today. I dropped my phone when I was playing in the snow last week (it fell on the ground not on the snow lol). Cracks where getting bigger! I washed my floor and cleaned the bathrooms!! This is the first time since my injury and I have a new appreciation. These are things I truly didn't love and mostly didn't want to do but not being ABLE to do that has changed my perspective.
