It's hard to narrow it down to a digestible size, but in my little HC expansion on Grey, I really love how he makes and maintains his relationships with others.

From my own interpretation of his canon content I get the feeling he's just someone who tries to find moments of relatablility with those around him, especially those he cares about. In my own writing, that's looked like bonding over a shared hobby, teaching someone a skill (or sharing knowledge of said skill), encouraging via shared past experiences, or looking for new opportunities to gain said shared experiences together.

For someone seemingly very busy, it's really important imo that he makes those connections with the people around him in whatever ways he can. It's not like the poor man has all the hang out time in the world, and we know they don't get weekends and holidays guaranteed like a regular job- so fighting for those moments of relatablility to connect with others (in sometimes rather esoteric and unique ways) is definitely one of my favorite parts of HC lore-expanded Greyson.

Even more so when thinking about him romantically and how he flirts??? Like normal men would just tell you they think you're cute and maybe they want to take you out sometime. But Grey? No no.

Grey found out your grandmother used to make these particular cookies growing up and you no longer have the recipe. All you remember is they tasted like shortbread, looked pinkish, and had raspberries in the dough. Cue this man spending 4 of his non-consecutive days off scouring the internet baking forums for ideas, trying out recipes, and finally getting something he THINKS is close, just so he can go "oh hey, so I made these yesterday when I was thinking about those cookies you were talking about." Like he just ~happened upon them~ all so he can watch your face light up when you say "oh my gosh these are PERFECT!"

I also adore the teasing. I admit that one is sooooo self fulfillment because anyone who can go tit-for-tat with me on the daily is just my kind of person, and way he just "You know nothing John" at the intern made me laaaaaugh. He probably didn't even mean it to be funny, but the later follow-up of him laughing so hard he almost got carted off to psych? Like, please, his sense of humor is so ridiculous I neeeeed him. I can't imagine him without the teasing and banter anymore if I'm being honest 😅 just lighthearted, friendly ribbing- nothing mean or harsh.

Couples that can joke around with each other in the most loving and wholesome ways are just UGHHHH I LOVE THEM 😩🥺 and I just see Grey being the perfect half to a couple like that.

And asdfghjkl thank you so much for this finger-licking ask!! I can't even remember how much time has passed since I answered the last one and with how many new amazing dates have released, of course my preferences have changed. So here's the list.

Also, I'll only be listing the dates that have currently been released on the EN sever, and again, I won't be ranking them because I love each one of them for different reasons 💕

✨ Light Pursuit Date / Stardust Date / Thorns Date / Clinic Date

I think these couple of dates deserve a category of their own because of how different they are from the others.

I will always be a sucker for the main story dates that deal with the whole Helios identity -- primium Kiro x MC angst, and I will forever be salty that we don't have more of these. Wasted potential, if you ask me.

Also, if you know me, you know I'm a huge 'friends to lovers' fan, so obviously Kiro and MC are my favourite couple. Just like all great friends-to-lovers stories out there, I absolutely love the natural progression of their relationship, as well as the obvious building chemistry you can see between the two even very early on in the story.

But what really makes the friends-to-lovers so superior to me is the type of angst explored in these stories: two people who clearly thought they knew each other better than anyone else, including themselves, either because of how similar they are to each other, or how long they've know each other, finally have to confront the fact that they might not have known the other person as well as they thought they did. And the above dates explore that aspect very very well.

Their struggles are very much human and internal, as opposed to external. And while Kiro and MC are affected by external conflict to some degree, it's mostly their past trauma and feelings that ultimately lead them to make decisions that end up hurting themselves and each other. Secrets are kept, lies are told, and distance is created, but never with the intention of hurting the other. And personally, as a drama enthusiast, as well as a lover of character driven stories, I've always loved internal conflict way more than an external one, especially in a romance story.

✨ Trespass Date

I mean... The date speaks for itself. After all, it's the first official "I love you" date.

I know Kiro has said "I love you" before, during his Confession Date, but this is the first time we see both parties actually acknowledging and reciprocating it.

The best part about this date is the pining and build up that leads up to the confession. And it was so refreshing to see MC be the one stuck in this unbearable state of longing and self-inflicted misery lmao, cause it's usually the other way round.

The date strikes a very good balance between fluff and steam. From the stolen glances and touches at the beginning, to the loss of restraint between the two in the hotel room, to their teasing and flirting on the red carpet, to the wholesome declaration of love at his private studio, which concludes with an extremely steamy make-out -- the writing for this date is a solid 10/10.

Also, one of my favourite lines comes from this date (that EN sadly butchered): "Turns out that we were both the same; irresistibly addicted to each other... Unable to stop." Idk, this line just seems to imply a lot of unconcealed love and passion between the two in just a few simple words and I absolutely adore that.

In addition to that, the card itself is gorgeous and very aesthetically pleasing, so you can understand why it's a favourite.

✨ Starlit Date

So far, this is definitely my favorite of Kiro's birthday dates. It's just so very very wholesome!

MC is a true MVP in this one, with the amount of love and effort she puts into creating his birthday surprise. There's so much thought and affection put into every part of it.

She collects every important moment of his, from the past to the present, compiling them into a beautiful visual and artistic love letter, and letting him know that all the effort and hardwork he's put in to get to where he is now has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated 🥺

The love that two of them have for each other radiates throughout the entire date, and I just uuughghh 🥹💕

This date is proof of how Kiro and MC make each other better. Through MC's present, we see how much she appreciates all the effort he has put in to getting to where he is today and also encourages him to take pride in himself alongside her.

That's the reason I keep reiterating the fact that them loving each other has led them to love themselves more as well. Because they make each other better.

✨ Perception Date

There was no way I was going to answer this ask and not mention Perception Date. This Date's sexiness levels were through the roof, I tell you, and not just because of the incredibly explicit description of their kisses 🙈

This date perfectly blends together masterful storytelling, romance and emotion along with the spice, especially in the second half of the date.

In the second half of the date, when MC goes to see Kiro's artistic creation, I love how Kiro's entire performance comes off as a sort of mini play of their story:

At the beginning, as soon as she enters the studio, MC is blind-folded, unable to see what's ahead of her, her only guiding source being Kiro's voice. Sort of like the way they first meet: both, in Season 1 and 2. In both seasons, MC is caught up in troublesome situations with no way forward and her first sign of hope/joy happens to be Kiro.

For instance, in S1, when MC's company loses sponsorship from LFG and she's struggling on what to do for Miracle Finder's last episode, Kiro shows up on a huge billboard in front of her, giving her the idea to invite him on the show, which ultimately leads her into meeting the star himself. In Perception Date, this is shown in how when MC finally takes off the blindfold, the first thing she sees is Kiro.

But at the same time, Kiro, at this moment, acts the way he would act if he was Helios, giving you the impression that he wasn't just Kiro at this moment, but also Helios. He uses his voice, words and eyes to make her stay away from him, just as Helios would, all those times he pushed her away from him.

But now, MC is no longer afraid. So despite the warnings he gives her, she keeps approaching him, beautiful and unyielding.

And all this happens as Kiro is sitting inside a bird cage, symbolising how he is like a bird trapped in a cage, which he has often been compared to throughout the story. This cage symbolises the walls that Kiro has built to protect himself, and at first, MC stays in that cage along with him, embracing that cold and hardened self of his, signifying how she breaks down his walls and accepts his true self, flaws and all, and by doing so, she is also binding herself to him.

But MC is also someone that sets Kiro free, and so we then see her taking him out of the cage and asking him to lead her to where he wants them to go, giving him her trust to do what he wants.

He then takes her to a private concert hall where he plays a song for her, and MC shares this beautiful insight on how Kiro creation - the birdcage and all - is an artistic interpretation of his heart, into which MC not-so-politely barges in and invades.

He explains how the theme of his creation is "freedom" because being bound to MC is what gave him his freedom, and as we can see in the picture where she has her legs wrapped around him, he is willingly letting himself be bound by her, because belonging to her is what makes him happy. The whole date is just... so freaking beautiful and romantic!!! (⁠๑⁠♡⁠⌓⁠♡⁠๑⁠)

✨ Unconditional Surrender Mind's Quest

I'm not the biggest fan of the way EN did the translation for this date, but the date itself is a 10000/10 chef's kiss. It is a DAMN MASTERPIECE! PURE PERFECTION!!! ✨

This date sort of tackles the issue of what it means to be dating an actor like Kiro, and how MC will have to navigate that aspect of their relationship, especially if Kiro has to be intimate with other girls for the sake of his job.

In doing so, the date highlights mature topics such as trust and security in their relationship, and how important communication is between both parties in order to build that foundation of trust and security.

Just Kiro being the best boyfriend ever, making sure that MC feels safe and secure in their relationship. Even though she feels ashamed of her feelings of jealousy and possessiveness and tries to shut them out and ignore them, Kiro assures her that she has nothing to feel ashamed about and that she shouldn't just ignore those feelings, as those are things that the two of them need to tackle together.

I'm pretty sure this is the first time Kiro openly acknowledges sending that invitation in Light Pursuit Date, and thereby acknowledging that he was Helios, like SCREAMS THE TIME THIS CAME OUT IT TOOK THE MLQC FANDOM BY STORM!

The SPICE in the date, holy moly, the number of makeout sessions Kiro and MC have? The suggestive remarks Kiro makes? MC getting turned on by his every move? *melts*

There are way too many good things to talk about with this date, but I'll stop here or this post will never end.

✨ Honourable Mention: Joyful Heart Mind's Quest

I'm just a sucker for a date where Kiro and MC are just constantly cuddling 24/7 and this one is a great example of that.

MC's soft soft care for Kiro 🥺 and vice versa.

Their mutual support for one another is always a treat to watch.

The scene where MC catches Kiro rehearsing his ballet and helps him out of his clothes is so so juicy, cause the writing gets so suggestive without being explicit about it, and it's just 🫠

It's always nice to learn more about Kiro's past, and it's always so heartwarming to see Kiro just opening up more, and talking more about himself.

He feels loved and cared for and that makes me so very happy. I honestly can't get enough of it, it's what he deserves 🤧

Just an overall very wholesome and beautiful date!

Tbh, I wanted to make a separate list for my favourite AU dates, where I would list my top three, but if I did that, then this post would get way too long and God knows I spent way more time on this than I needed to, HAHA!!

Natalie bounced her knee nervously sat on the bench outside the airport, the humid spring air around her felt almost as suffocating as her nerves.

Her parents’ car pulled up in front of her soon enough, Kendall in the driver’s seat and Gia in the passenger. Synthia was nowhere to be found, making her stomach twist in knots. It had been weeks since she had FaceTimed her parents and actually saw them. She hadn’t heard much of Synthia either, Kendall and Gia always claiming he was either asleep or at an appointment whenever she called.

“Hi honey,” Gia called from the open window, waving her over. She noticed how they looked tired as did Kendall as he got out and helped her with her bags.

“Hi noni, hi daddy,” she said, buckling herself in the back, “where’s dada?”

She heard Kendall suck in a breath, his lips stretching in a counterfeit smile. “He’s resting at home.”

“Cut the shit!” Natalie snapped, surprising both her and her parents, “is there something you’re not telling me?”

Kendall looked at her in the backseat through the rear view mirror, his eyes were tired and slightly bloodshot too like he hadn’t been sleeping. “He’s not well, Nat.”

Natalie didn’t know what to say, apparently no one did because they rode the rest of the way home in silence.

When they pulled in the driveway, she nearly sprinted from the car, leaving them to grab her things. She made a beeline for her parents bedroom where she knew Synthia was likely resting.

The bedroom door was shut tightly as to not let any drafts in. Her heart beat hard in her chest as she opened the door, finding Synthia in the middle of the bed, curled up in the fetal position underneath the heavy blankets.

“Dada?” She whimpered, sounding so small and young.

“Nat?” He replied back, his voice crackly like it hadn’t been used in a while. It sounded painful.

She sat on the edge of the bed beside him, trying not to gasp when she saw him. He looked worse for wear than she ever remembered him to look. The last time she had FaceTimed him, he looked healthier. Right now, his face seemed gaunt and hollow, his skin pale and his lips cracking, she could even see a bruise on his bony shoulder peeking out from the collar of his oversized sweatshirt, meaning he must’ve fallen somewhat recently. She hadn’t meant to get up and leave the room right away, but she couldn’t bear the sight of him, thin and tired looking as he slipped in and out of consciousness.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” She said, Kendall and Gia standing in the living room, waiting for her to come confront them. “You promised when I went away you’d always keep me updated! You promised!”

Gia hung their head in shame. “We’re sorry. We wanted you to focus on midterms.”

“We thought it was for the best,” Kendall tried, to no avail.

“You know universities have policies in place for things like this! I would’ve come home, fuck the midterms!”

“Natalie,” Kendall warned, though as soon as he did, he mentally took it back. She had every right to be angry.

She softened, her shoulders slumping as she wrapped her arms around herself and sniffled. “I-I’m sorry, I’m so-he looks so awful. I’ve never seen him this thin before, is he even eating at all? And if he’s this bad why is he not in the hospital?”

“He can’t keep much down,” Gia answered solemnly, “and he was sent home from the hospital. They said there wasn’t much they can do there and he’d be more comfortable at home.”

Natalie wished that the thought that popped into her head would disappear but she couldn’t help her need to know. “Please don’t lie to me, is he-?”

Kendall knew exactly what she meant, he and Gia had the same hushed conversations in the kitchen many times lately. “We don’t know. His doctor’s been coming and doing home visits, he says he thinks it’s just a bad flare up and to call an ambulance if he has more trouble breathing but he hasn’t explicitly said he thinks anything’s terribly wrong. Except what we already know is terribly wrong.”

Falling into her daddy’s arms, he held her up as she sobbed into his hoodie, Gia wrapping their arms around them too, hushing her.

“It’ll be okay, sweetheart. Dada’s gonna be okay,” Kendall whispered, trying to convince her, himself, and Gia all at once.

𝟎𝟏. have a cute blog — people are more attracted by blogs with pretty themes, usernames and work layouts. i am myself more interested by a blog if they are pleasant to the eye. don’t be afraid to take inspiration from your favorite blogs or moodboards account.

𝟎𝟐. write the type of works that are in vogue — i think it is better to start with something that is popular at the moment (reactions or texts), so you gain a lot of popularity that way. and after, introduce your own personal preferences (headcanons, drabbles, thoughts, ect..)

𝟎𝟑. go around and interact with people — they can give really good advice and be a shoulder you can rely one if you need any help. if you support their works, they will support yours.

𝟎𝟒. post regularly — it will help be known and have a lot of support, especially when you just started your blog.

𝟎𝟓. look up new words on the internet and read books — these really helped me having a good vocabulary. as i am still learning, consuming english media is always the best way to evolve my way with words.

𝟎𝟔. develop your own writing style and practice it — you can take inspiration from your favorite book authors. having a smooth and pleasant writing style take time, you need a lot of practice to develop it. if you read my entire bookshelf, you can see that i have evolved and i still do.
