BSW unveils garden fence panel range
BSW Timber has just unveiled a brand new range of garden fence panels that has been introduced to complement its existing fencing components.
The sawmill group now manufactures four types of panels for domestic applications, in addition to acoustic solutions and traditional components such as posts, rails and boards.
BSW’s lap, closeboard and feather edge fence panels are high pressure treated to use class 3 – and its innovative ‘seawave’ design uses imported timber and is exclusive to the company.
This follows BSW’s recent announcement that they are tapping into the acoustic fencing market with Soundshield™  – a system designed to reduce noise pollution in residential areas.
David Chapman, sales and marketing director for BSW, said: “We developed the garden fence panels to expand on our current fencing offer and we believe that with this range there’s something for everyone.
“All panels use high-quality, treated timber which ensures that the final product is not only aesthetically attractive but robust and reliable as well.”
He added: “We’ve also made sure that panels can form part of mixed loads which will be particularly beneficial during quieter times when cash flow is tighter.”
The panels all include a capping rail for a neater finish and the lap, feather edge and seawave designs are also framed.
They can be used with timber or concrete posts and are 1828-1830mm wide and either 900, 1200, 1500 or 1800mm high.
Fence panel product information can be found at www.bsw.co.uk.

New Post has been published on Fencing London
New Post has been published on http://www.fencing-london.org.uk/top-8-picks-for-garden-fencing-this-spring/
Top 8 Picks for Garden Fencing this Spring!
When completing a fencing project you need to know about the different types of fence panels and why you should choose certain types of panels. While all the panels have the same functions including noise reduction, mapping boundaries and security there are other factors that you need to consider. Some panels are designed to offer more aesthetic features than practical ones and you need to consider this when looking at the fence panels for your project.
Here’s our top picks for fencing panels
Waney Edge Fence Panels
Waney edge fence panels are also known as overlap panels and are perfect for fencing projects that are being completed on a tight budget. These panels are made with renewable timber and crafted by expert fence fitters. The panels can last up to 5 – 10 years and require little to no maintenance. If this suits your fencing requirements it is possible to have the panels stained to your specifications.
Closeboard Fencing
If you are looking for added durability and strength for your garden/playground area then these panels are the right ones for you. The panels are long-lasting and ideal for front or rear yards and any type of garden. If you are looking for additional strength and a better look then consider the double-sided versions. Not only will this increase your security, it will also increase the aesthetic value of the garden and fence. Treating the timber used for the panels will increase the durability, however pressure treated panels (aka Tanalised panels) will last the longest, you can expect 15 years of ware before replacement.
Trellis Panels
Trellis fence panels are generally made with intersecting pieces of wood, metal or bamboo at the top of the panel to create an open framework for quickly decorating the garden. It is possible to purchase Trellis panels in a variety of timber types, sizes and styles. You can also paint or stain the panels to suit your needs or leave them in their natural state.
Trellis panels are versatile and attractive adding a new dimension to your outdoor space or garden. In open-air areas such as swimming pools, they can offer a bit of privacy and they can be used to screen off some unsightly views. The many aesthetic qualities of these panels make them a popular choice over the more traditional solid panels.
Picket Fencing
If you are looking to define your boundaries or need to keep your pets within an area then picket fencing is the ideal choice. To create a picket fence you will need to evenly space the panels along the boundary and connect them to each other using rails. The low height of picket fencing means that you will not be blocking the views of your surroundings.
PVC and timber are the most popular materials for picket fences, with PVC increasing all the time. PVC is available in white and will not need any painting and they are known to be very long-lasting. It is possible to not only use picket fencing to mark your boundaries, but for more aesthetic purposes as well.
Hit And Miss
The Hit and Miss panels are called this because of the way that they are attached to the boards. These panels will be alternatively attached to the front and back of the boards creating an overlapping hit and miss pattern. Both sides of the fence will look the same so your neighbour can have a good looking view as well.
The hit and miss panels can be used with a slotted jackpost. These panels also allow the wind to pass through which makes them more stable in high altitude places. If possible, it is recommended that you get timber panels as you can create a better finish with this material.
Feather Edge fencing
This has a similar look to the close board panels but each vertical lap board is fitted manually to it’s rail onsite,
If you are looking for flexibility and security for an affordable price then feather edge fencing is the right option. The fence is made with vertical feather edge boards which are aligned vertically and fixed to wooden rails. These fences are best suited to gardens with non-uniform contours as the fence is able to follow the natural contours of the ground. If you want to protect against rot you should have the fence panels treated and they should be fitted with a cap at the top.
Western Red Cedar Fencing
This type of fencing is growing in popularity in recent years. Often used by landscape designers in their projects. Western Red Cedar is chosen due to its stable and durable nature providing a modern alternative to a standard fence. As a more affordable alternative, pressure treated softwood with the right combination of oils, can be used for a similar effect.
Bespoke Fencing
If you want something that stands out from the crowd you should look at bespoke panels. This type of fencing can be altered to your specifications and are generally made with environmentally sustainable materials. This means that the panels you buy come from sustainable and well-managed resources.
Bespoke fencing will include made to size fence panels and are available in a range of timber types and finishes. Bespoke fencing can be used for decorative purposes as additional accessories can be added to them. This is not all that we offer, why not give us a call and we can offer you a free no obligation consultation where we can find the right fencing for you, call us for fencing in South West London & Surrey on..

Swimming pool Fencing - Categories, Installation, and Up-keep
The timber fence is an Australian icon. These fences are tough as nails and certainly can look very elegant as competently, a picture-perfect feature around any home. They can last forever with some very basic care, and certainly they're extremely adaptable and certainly easy to use in any setting plus on any job. Fence panels tend to be standard widths of approximately 6ft, so renewing fence panels at a later date is easy. Panel heights also tend to be standard going in 1ft increments from 3ft high through to 6ft high as a rule. The next we will talk about the negative impact of the hardwood being untreated. Although you would have incredible issue cutting through the hardwood with an axe or chainsaw, fungi, borers and certainly the climate will easily cause irreparable damage to the wood. They eat away at the grains of the wood, causing it to split and certainly weaken. Once this kind of damage has been done, it cannot be reversed! The climate is a real factor, as the effects of rain plus snow will damage the wood badly over time. This does not create it a very logical choice if you live in a wet or humid climate. Panel fencing has been around for a while, particularly in europe. Pre constructed fence panels of standard 6ft widths in a variety of standard heights plus decorative styles are fitted between either concrete or timber posts depending on preference and certainly budget. Heights range from 3ft through to 6ft. The panels tend to be made of overlapping boards, so as a result the fencing, depending on height option can offer a degree of privacy and certainly decoration. The panels are often light weight in nature so security is low level, but due to weight as well as standard sizes they are cheap plus easy to replace if they become damaged over time. They can be constructed from either tanalised materials or dip completed but are usually constructed from sawn timber. Picket fencing is a great decorative fence but lacking in privacy or any real security. Picket fencing can be constructed in panel format where you just purchase a ready made 2m panel plus attach to posts or you construct the fence form individual components. Pickets can be pointed topped, round best, square top or chisel most excellent depending on the effect you top prefer. Heights tend to range from 3ft through to 6ft as standard. As mentioned used for a top decorative effect this fencing looks particularly stunning if it is glossed white to finish, but this requires untreated planned timber which may not last as suitably as tanalised timbers. Close board fencing can offer both privacy and a greater degree of security than picket or panel fencing. Closeboard fencing is the fencing you see where wedge profile boards are vertically overlapped along the length of the fence. The overlap is generally about 25mm. Close board fences tend to be available in heights from 3ft through to 10ft. Due to the height plus lack of foot or hand holds this fencing offers the best security your likely to find from a timber fence. As boards overlap privacy is ensured. The fence can be erected on timber or concrete posts usually at 2.4m centres as well as has a really good transaction of inherent strength given by railings attached to the posts on the rear of the fence. Supports keep your fence in good condition The main structural points of timber fencing are the makes. These are firmly laid at the time of setting up the fence, plus usually don't have any troubles unless damaged or very late in their lives. Keep an eye on the supports, and certainly you'll see any possible hassles before they happen. It's a really good idea to gain some professional facilitate from fencing contractors if you're looking at cracks in will assist or if the base is shifting meant for some reason. These can be major troubles, but they're not insoluble, and easy to fix if you attain to occupation on them quickly.Whether you require the iconic paling fence, the new modern screen fences or a picket fence, you can't go wrong with timber.
If you could do with to be familiar with more about it, you will in all probability want to view this website::entry gates MorayfieldHow about you stop worrying about it, and just take a look here at this site insteadContact Nowindustrial fencing Morayfield

Timber Garden Fence Alternatives
In my opinion if accurately maintained a colorbond fence north Brisbane north Brisbane will outlast a timber fence by 5-10 years. Colorbond fence north Brisbane are made from steel so the paint will fade plus the steel eventually rust but not so quickly as managed pine or even hardwood posts will rot through enough to lose stability. Timber Pool Fencing is often used around pool's that have been built into or along side timber decks, however they also look great around in ground pools that have been surrounded by a garden. The modern timber fences plus gates have carried on the traditions adequately. The Aussie backyard loves its privacy as well as comfort, plus the new fences are designed to provide just that. They're big, beautiful, as well as they go with everything. If you wish to upgrade to a higher fence or lapped palings then this will increase the fees of the steel posts as heavier gauge steel will be required. Steel posts will increase the life of your timber fence however many people don't like the look of steel posts and wish their complete fence to be made from timber therefore opting designed for timber posts. Picket fencing is a great decorative fence but lacking in privacy or any real security. Picket fencing can be constructed in panel format where you just purchase a ready made 2m panel plus attach to posts or you construct the fence form individual components. Pickets can be pointed topped, round top, square top or chisel best depending on the effect you most excellent prefer. Heights tend to range from 3ft through to 6ft as standard. As mentioned intended for a greatest decorative effect this fencing looks particularly stunning if it is glossed white to finish, but this requires untreated planned timber which may not last as correctly as tanalised timbers. Close board fencing can offer both privacy as well as a greater degree of security than picket or panel fencing. Closeboard fencing is the fencing you see where wedge profile boards are vertically overlapped along the length of the fence. The overlap is generally about 25mm. Close board fences tend to be available in heights from 3ft through to 10ft. Due to the height as well as lack of foot or hand holds this fencing offers the finest security your likely to find from a timber fence. As boards overlap privacy is ensured. The fence can be erected on timber or concrete posts usually at 2.4m centres and certainly has a quality deal of inherent strength given by railings attached to the posts on the rear of the fence. Choosing a garden timber fence is a one off celebration, but before you decide on type understand your requirements from the fencing and you won't be disappointed. If you are after a greatest of the line panel fence then there are wide ranges of european style decorative fence panels on the scene. These tend to constructed with horizontal boards in a hit as well as miss style with solid surround framework, diagonal board layout or vertical board layout giving interesting textures as well as patterning. The tops of the panels are usually in-filled with lattice trellis work and can come with a wavy domed top, concave trellis top or straight trellis with choices of diamond or square pattern trellis. These panels are highly decorative plus sturdy as well as generally fees twice as much as overlap panels but offer a high degree of classy decoration to your garden. Whichever panel as well as post system you use a fence panel fence will give you really good service with ease of installation plus alternative at a later date, offering potential for improved privacy as well as substantial decoration to your garden.
