I haven't gotten my hands on the first Dresden books for a reread yet, but I have gotten the comic-book adaptations on Hoopla
And I just want to say that Marcone was trying to recruit Harry Dresden into his villainous employ before it was cool
#everyone else is a poser :/#except justin dumorne I guess but HE didn't offer contracts#series: he died doing the right thing#highlights of the comics: visuals (the beetle :) mouse! also all the human people)#never missing a chance for a dumorne flashback which is valid#harry's narration unsurprisingly translates VERY smoothly to comic-book narration#and we also get thomas narration in one story. a lot of which is just him telling us how frustratingly amazing and heroic harry is#downsides: ...the gory deaths are entirely canon-typical but now they're In Color
